The shipyard.

The construction of Dynamiq yachts is carried out in the Antalya Free Zone, Turkey, which is a government-protected area that benefits from a special tax regime lowering costs and hosts a cluster of high profile shipyards from both Turkey and the Netherlands. Dynamiq occupies the most modern and newest facility in the Free Zone, with 10,000 m 2 covered space and access to a 2,000 ton syncrolift for safe and easy launching. The sheds are well fitted out for building the full range of Dynamiq superyachts up to 65 meters in length. Various powertrain options are available including hybrid or diesel-electric technology.

The works are organized with international subcontractors from Germany, Austria and Italy, who team up with the best local craftsmen to achieve a level of quality in line with North European standards. Dynamiq has in-house interior, teak and stainless steel production to ensure that the end product finish is absolutely perfect and minimize the risks of delays. The shipyard working environment is carefully managed and strict quality control standards are maintained by both the Dynamiq team and external surveyors from Europe. Dynamiq organized dedicated modern office spaces to welcome owner's representatives and crew members.

Designed in MONACO. ENGINEERED IN THE NETHERLANDS. CRAFTED IN TURKEY.

The Dynamiq range is a product of leading European technology and craftsmanship. This unique international approach has created an innovative superyacht of the highest quality born from a collaboration of the world’s top superyacht design and construction experts.

WHY DYNAMIQ?

Forward thinking design, innovative naval architecture, highest engineering standards, top-quality steel & aluminium construction, ocean-going range, smart pricing.

Forward thinking design

Dynamiq's unique exteriors look impressive and fresh and express the sporty, chic soul of our yachts. They not only look great, but also perform at the top of their class and lend owners a sense of exclusivity and pride.

Innovative naval architecture

Dynamiq’s high efficiency is based on innovative technologies in modern naval architecture: fast displacement hull lines, the Hull Vane under the stern, and Sleipner curved fin stabilizers. Completely drawn by leading naval architects in the Netherlands, all Dynamiq yachts feature a round-bilge shape for remarkably low resistance and low fuel consumption, while providing seaworthiness and comfort with long waterline length and low centre of gravity.

Highest engineering standards

Each Dynamiq yacht is by definition safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly in accordance with the strictest RINA and BV Commercial Class standards, prestigious Comfort and Green Star Plus notations, Large Yacht Code 4 (LY4) compliancy and manning standards. This not only makes our vessels ultra-safe and almost silent, but also means they can be chartered to offset the cost of ownership.

Top-quality steel & aluminium construction

Only certified marine-grade steel, aluminium and Sealium are used for Dynamiq hulls and superstructures. In comparison with composite hulls, they are much quieter, easier to repair and have higher trade-in value due to the fact that they have a very long service life.

Ocean-going range

Dynamiq yachts are designed with an ocean-going capability in mind, which means owners have the opportunity to enjoy multiple seasons during the year (say Mediterranean and Caribbean) and visit remote locations with no re-fueling infrastructure. Equipped with high-capacity marine fridges and freezers, cold garbage stores, separate laundry facilities, plenty of storage space, generous fresh water tanks and powerful water-makers, Dynamiq yachts provide autonomy at sea in complete comfort.

Smart pricing

Combining Dutch engineering with production facilities in the one of the biggest Turkish shipbuilding hubs of Antalya Free Zone means Dynamiq can offer North European standards and quality craftsmanship at significantly reduced prices. Being pioneers in the superyacht industry, Dynamiq also has an Online Configurator where clients can customize their yachts in a few clicks and see in real time how the price and delivery times vary.

MOTORYACHTS

The image of the motoryacht is changing as ‘true sailors’ come to recognise that the power fraternity do enjoy certain benefits. Major reservations remain among many, however, when it comes to looks and style… And that’s just the sort of challenge the drawing board creatives here at Hoek Design relish!  The key driver in our motoryacht concept has been to combine a retro style above water with a hypermodern planing underwater configuration. While this mirrors our success in the classic sailing yacht sector, such an approach is actually rather radical for the powerboat world. And the briefest of glances at the renderings here will suffice to show how different our designs will be. Today’s motoryachts are way too similar, give or take small details and quality levels. We’ve transferred some of the advances seen in sailing yachts and, in the process, conceived an altogether more exciting proposition.

These are the Yacht Interior Designers to Know

Designing a superyacht is a personal experience and involves making an overwhelming amount of choices.

By Sophie Killip

motor yacht design

For those seasoned individuals who have experience chartering yachts , visiting friends’ yachts, sailing the high seas, or maybe even purchasing their first pre-designed yacht, the next thrill might come from building their own vessel. Although designing your own superyacht is a truly personal experience, it also involves making an overwhelming amount of choices. This is why the first step to building a new superyacht should always be to choose a designer to work with – and there are several yacht interior designers you can choose from.

Whether it’s considering how the internal spaces of your yacht will work, what furniture or materials are used, or even working out the external design for your new vessel, collaborating with a designer will make the process of creating your dream superyacht as stress-free and easy as possible. To help, Elite Traveler has created a list of yacht interior (and exterior, in some cases) designers that should be on your radar – and if you’re also on the lookout for a new yacht builder, why not discover our list of the best luxury yacht builders in the world ?

Winch Design

Our list of the best yacht interior designers kicks off with  Winch Design. Originally founded by Andrew Winch and his wife Jane in 1986, at the time it was known as Andrew Winch Designs. It was rebranded as Winch Designs in 2015 but has been one of the UK’s leading superyacht and private jet design studios for over thirty years. Winch Design’s yacht studio is now led by Jim Dixon and the team has created a multitude of extraordinary projects, all of which are highly bespoke and tailored to each client’s specific requests.

One of Winch Design’s most recent yacht projects was the 260 ft M/Y Excellence , which shipbuilder Abeking & Rasmussen say was its “most challenging project to date”. Its owner worked closely with the design studio to create a yacht with interiors inspired by the “Floridian East Cost Deco” style and that felt both personal to him and welcoming to any guest on board. “ Excellence was a very exciting project to be involved with and [she] tested the team to their creative limits,” says senior partner, Ignacio Oliva-Vele.

How to Design an Amazing Superyacht Interior

Terence disdale design.

Based in the UK, Terence Disdale Design is one of the yachting industry’s most respected design studios. The team works on both the interior and exterior design of some of the world’s most incredible yachts, with previous projects including M/Y Eclipse , one of the biggest superyachts in the world. The studio was founded by Terence Disdale, who – despite having no formal training – is one of the most sought-after designers in the industry.

Disdale set up his eponymous studio in 1972 after working for famous designer Jon Bannenberg (Bannenberg’s studio was also where Andrew Winch and Tim Heywood learned their craft). Across his extraordinary 40-year career Disdale and his studio have designed over 100 yachts, including more than 50 superyachts. His wide-ranging design style often follows the mantra of ‘beach house, not penthouse’, with concepts often finding inspiration from the ocean.

Sorgiovanni Designs

Australian yacht designer Sam Sorgiovanni’s career began after he studied Industrial Design and found his first position working for shipbuilder Oceanfast. It was thanks to the experience he gained at this renowned shipbuilder that Sorgiovanni decided to set up his own studio, launching Sorgiovanni Designs in 1997 in Fremantle, Western Australia. The studio has also recently opened an office in Monaco in order to expand its design services to Europe.

Sorgiovanni believes it’s important to “keep one eye on the past” when designing projects, “in order to avoid making the same mistakes” as before. Previous yacht designs that he has worked on include the 390 ft Amana in collaboration with Oceanco, and the exteriors of the 270 ft Secret. When Sorgiovanni is not working on a particular project, he is also traveling the world to consult on yacht designs for clients, working with a variety of suppliers and shipbuilders.

Zaniz Studio

Yacht interior designer Zaniz Studio exterior of Luminosity

Next up on our list of the best yacht interior designers is Zaniz Studio. The company was founded in New York City by English-American designer Zaniz Jakubowski – who up until recently, had rarely been able to discuss her astounding portfolio of projects due to the NDAs that came with the commissions. The studio has an international reputation for creating iconic and innovative projects, which always have strong attention to detail. As well as designing for both private and commercial yachts, Zaniz Studio works across other industries, including creating theatre sets and residential and commercial interiors.

One of Zaniz Studio’s latest projects – and one it was able to share – was the 350 ft superyacht Luminosity , which went on the market last year for over $266 million. The studio was responsible for both the interior and exterior of Luminosity, which was built by Italian shipyard Benetti. What is most interesting is that the team abandoned the typical format of designing the exterior first, followed by the interior; instead, the superyacht has been designed from the inside out.

Nuvolari Lenard

Well known for its timeless design style, Nuvolari Lenard is one of the largest – and most active – luxury yacht design studios in the world, founded in 1992 by naval architect and mechanical engineer Carlo Nuvolari and stylist Dan Lenard. The studio is based in Italy’s island city, Venice, and draws heavy influence from the city for its classic yacht designs, combining strong architectural lines with a deep passion and understanding for the sea. One of its latest projects was the 465 ft Nord (previously called Project Opus).

Not only is Nuvolari Lenard based in Venice, but it also has a renowned Design Center on the outskirts of the city that hosts architects and designers working on a range of tasks. Inside the Design Center is a scale yacht model workshop that gives designers the opportunity to visualize their concepts and research shapes before confirming a final design. The interior design section of the studio’s Design Center also features a showroom where clients and designers can discuss fabrics and materials.

Patrick Knowles Designs

motor yacht design

With decades of experience in the marine industry under his belt, Patrick Knowles is one of America’s top yacht designers. His studio, Patrick Knowles Designs , specializes in custom megayacht and superyacht interiors, as well as designing for private aircraft. The team at Patrick Knowles Design prides themselves on their creativity and a strong commitment to making sure projects are finished on time, while also exceeding expectations.

One of Patrick Knowles Designs’ award-winning projects was a Key West-inspired 206 ft ISA displacement superyacht. The owners requested an interior that felt like a five-star tropical resort; through a design that incorporated vibrant murals of plants and aquatic life, lush fabrics and furnishings, and the use of environmentally friendly, natural materials including bamboo, palm wood and coconut shells, Patrick Knowles delivered. The onboard showcase piece is a 30-foot-tall light fixture constructed from Murano glass that sits within the spiral staircase, joining all three levels.

Tillberg Design of Sweden

Tillberg Design of Sweden yacht interior designer superyacht Somnio

Our list of the most exclusive yacht interior designers would not be complete without mentioning Tillberg Design of Sweden. Founded in 1964 in Höganäs, the practice has been designing timeless Scandinavian-inspired interiors on board some of the world’s most luxurious vessels for over five decades.

Known for its meticulous craftsmanship, use of quality materials and expert lighting, when it comes to creating beautiful spaces you’re in safe hands with Tillberg Design of Sweden. Perhaps most impressive is the studio’s latest project designing the interiors onboard the gigantic 728-foot superyacht Somnio .

The recently released renderings reveal stunning dream-like rooms expertly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. Future owners that are lucky enough to live on the world’s first residential yacht liner will be given the opportunity to work with the prestigious design firm over three months to create their dream apartment.

WERNER Yacht Design

Style & performance, werner yacht design - an uncompromising focus on combining style and performance when it comes to yacht design..

WERNER Yacht Design logo

Water entices, whether it is an orange sun sinking below the horizon of a mirror-like sea, or the pounding waves smashing into a rocky shore, it always affects you in some shape or form. It might be calming, or outright exhilarating, but it is always inspiring. It clears your mind, leaving room for new plans and ideas. And for some, it is the spark that inspires them to embark on a new adventure: building their own perfect motor yacht. Over the years we have had many clients visiting our office in Volendam in search for their perfect motor yacht.

And with most of them we have developed a personal bond that lasts for years. We are proud of that. Proud that people have put their faith in us whilst in pursuit of their dream. This has led, to numerous custom designs. Some elegant, some sturdy, some classic, some contemporary. But no matter what the style we apply, we have put our hearts and souls into every single one of these designs, as if we were designing the yachts for ourselves. This is, after all, our only frame of reference.

Design Process

How we work at werner yacht design.

When designing a new yacht, we can rely on extensive experience and profound technical knowledge. Right from the start we already consider hull shape construction, compartment arrangement, escape routes, ventilation, ducting etc. Ambitious? Definitely. But it ensures that the unavoidable fields of conflicts are made visible at the earliest possible moment. A little time consuming at first perhaps, but it smooths out the road for everything that follows. We divide the process of design in roughly 4 disciplines:

What we do at WERNER Yacht Design

It is not difficult to work out how you are going to use your new yacht. It is more complicated to establish the X-factor that makes you fall in love with your yacht to-be. It is crucial for us to get to know you. We have to find out what makes you, you. During the initial meeting we often talk about all sorts of things, leaving the discussion about the new motor yacht until the very last. Listening carefully, we get a feel of what you are looking for, leaving you in awe when presenting you with your new design. With this portfolio we hope to inspire you to, and perhaps pave the way for you to pursue your own dream yacht, enabling you to explore the wonders of the blue seas, as many have done before you.

Material moodboard palette for Superyacht interior design by Suvorov Yacht Design

At the very origin of creative process everything commences with a wellspring of inspiration. For instance, the luxurious feel of a cashmere silk carpet, the captivating pattern of figured rosewood, and the opulence of gilded accents in Arabescato Vagli marble. Therefore the catalyst for the design journey lies in the meticulously curated moodboard selection, wherein a rich tapestry of hues and finishes is woven to recall memories and sensations. It is in soul of the onboard experience at the yacht, starting the ideas for all design choices and inspiring creativity.

During iterative, by it’s nature, stage the general arrangement (GA) is refined to the clients brief. Most importantly, GA optimizes the use of space on production, semi-custom or custom yacht, ensuring that every area is efficiently designed to enhance comfort and convenience onboard. In other words, great interior layout ensures flawless crew operation for the ultimate guest experience, allowing the space for customizations and ensuring that the yacht is a personalized reflection of owner’s style.

yacht interior design sketch by Suvorov Yacht Design

A crucial stage that brings energy to the project, transforming an idea into a tangible form. In addition to leveraging design skills and expertise of interior designer, a first sketch outlines the yacht’s interior, giving the client first glimpse into its aesthetic essence. It helps both: to understand space proportions and determine how furniture and interior parts are arranged. It is undoubtedly dynamic and forward-thinking stage, as it eagerly looks forward to the final result.

yacht interior 3d render by Suvorov Yacht Design

Here is where yacht begins to acquire her unique character. Eventually it brings together of elements like texture, finishes, reflection, and shadow, resulting in the vivid visualization of space, accurately capturing the interior. The design takes shape following through the process of moving from basic sketches to complete digital visuals. Thus a detailed image shows how all the pieces of the interior design interact, including things like placing the seating in dining areas to create spaces that feel both open and private, or making sure the bedroom flows smoothly into the bathroom creating beautiful ambiance. At the end, all these different elements come together to create a bespoke experience onboard.

Without reservation, at the heart of bringing to the life the envisioned yacht’s interior and perfect execution lies the package of documentation. From General Arrangement layouts to the set of drawings for the intricate details of custom furniture and bespoke lighting with unrivalled attention to detail, summing up the full documentation is assembled for the shipyard.

Seadeck

Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez had never designed a yacht before Seadeck 6. Azimut Yachts, which was founded by Paolo Vitelli in 1969 and sells to the world’s rich and famous, was looking for a design conscious model that would bring man as close to nature as possible when they turned to the duo.

“To be sustainable there has to be a less extravagant luxury, different and less ostentatious so we chose this interiors look that is far from what you normally see in the yacht world,” Rodriguez says.

The studio worked with yacht designer Alberto Mancini, who came up with an innovative concept in which, right from the very first sketches, the exterior communicates naturally with the interior. This includes the new Fun Island feature, a suspended deck that brings everyone as close to the water as possible and allows them to reconnect with nature.

“We wanted to create a boat that puts maximum emphasis on the concept of openness and transparency, and that also represented a radical change in terms of the relationship with nature. With the introduction of the Fun Island, Seadeck is actually a floating island where owners can get away from their daily routine and live in total contact with the sea,” Mancini says. He is regarded as one of the industry’s top freelance designers and has worked with Baglietto, Fairline Yachts, Magnum Marine, Tankoa, Otam and Revolver.

More than half of Azimut’s fleet is now made up of low-emission yachts that reduce CO2 emissions by between 20 and 30 percent. Seadeck 6 integrates an innovative system that allows both zero-emissions at anchor and cruising with the generator off, further reducing on-board consumption. This system, called Mild Hybrid Zero Emission Hotel Mode, is based on a 42-kWh lithium battery pack and an alternator connected to one of the three engines. Overall the vessel reduces CO2 emissions by 40 percent over a year of average use, both when cruising and at anchor, compared to a traditional flybridge boat of similar dimensions.

The company says it has invested 20 years of research and development in sustainable innovation and is working toward meeting the goals set by the International Maritime Organization for the overall industry to reduce CO2 emissions by 40 percent by 2030.

He unveiled the model during Milan Design Week, providing one of its highlights. The vessel was hoisted into Milan’s Bagni Misteriosi pool. An immersive installation titled “Mooring by the Moon” was curated by AMDL Circle, the multidisciplinary studio of well-known Italian designer  Michele De Lucchi.  The display unfolded in a journey through four acts focused on sustainable innovation at the Bagni Misteriosi pool with a choreographed performance culminating in a setting inflatable moon attached to a dancer in mid-air.

The design and nautical worlds have come together like never before over the last few years. In 2019, design legend  Patricia Urquiola  incorporated her signature flair into the Sanlorenzo SD96, starting with the modernist metallic winding staircase and finishings like a biscuit-patterned parquet floor and sleek modular furnishings.

In 2023, design duo Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini made their yacht sector debut with a collaboration with Permare, an Italian shipyard founded in Sanremo in 1973. Together they unveiled the latest Amer Yacht F100 Glass Cabin, which, much to the design studio’s surprise, won them the World Yacht Trophies 2023 Semi-Custom award at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

RH , formerly Restoration Hardware, unveiled RH Three in 2022, an expedition yacht available for charter in the Mediterranean during the summer and the Bahamas in the winter. Enhanced with a homey feel, RH Three’s many design elements include cashmere bedding and an indoor dining space punctuated with deck chairs by Paola Lenti and Vincent Van Duysen.

Today, Italian shipyards account for 50 percent of all world orders of super yachts, says the Marine Industry Association.

The yachting sector employs 28,660 people in Italy, up 8.8 percent year-over-year. The weight of the yachting industry’s contribution to Italy’s gross domestic product rose 2.9 percent in 2021 to 3.23 percent in 2022, and has been on a steady uptick since 2013, rising sharply in the last two years, according to the association.

Meet bryan o’sullivan: london’s buzziest interior designer.

The bar at Claridge's restaurant in London, designed by Bryan O'Sullivan Studio.

The name Bryan O’Sullivan may not immediately ring any bells. But if you’ve enjoyed a cocktail at the famed Red Room bar in London’s Connaught Hotel , booked the penthouse at Claridge’s (or enjoyed dinner at the iconic property’s restaurant) or checked into Maybourne’s luxe properties in Beverly Hills or just outside Monte Carlo (in Roquebrune-Cap Martin) then you’ve experienced interiors that he’s designed.

An intimate corner in one of the bars at the Maybourne Riviera.

The 42 year-old Irish native splits his time between London and New York, where a staff of 70 is currently overseeing 30 projects around the globe including the reimagining of the Shore Club in Miami and a Gulfstream private jet from the ground up. He launched line of furniture and decorative accessories last year, as well as a shop in London, and his first monograph debuted last month. A New Glamour is an over-sized tome with a foreword by his former employer, the renowned architect Annabelle Selldorf , and featuring a “greatest hits” of sorts. The work is impressive, with a depth and breadth normally associated with firms older than his ten years.

In the past year his firm, Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, was named to both Architectural Digest’s prestigious AD100 list of the world’s top designers, as well as House & Garden (U.K.) Top 100 list. “Particularly with the hospitality projects, he creates total environments that are transporting,” noted Selldorf. “His pleasure in materials, shapes and patterns and relating one to another is something I really admire.”

Despite his insane travel schedule – which in the next few months includes Miami, New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Ireland and the Glastonbury Festival — he made time to submit to a series of questions, both personal and professional:

Early design influences: My granddad had a really good eye for design. He was a self-taught builder and had a studio in a shed off his house where he would draft on an old drawing board. The main thing he did was restore churches, so that studio also had old stained glass and other things from the restorations. I used to go there a lot, I was obsessed with his drawings. And when I was 19 I worked for a firm in Dublin called Duff Tisdall. They were architects and interior designers and had an interiors shop. I was taking some time off school – I had been studying hospitality management – and was trying to figure out if I wanted to switch to architecture.

The Berkeley Bar at the Berkeley Hotel, London, with a mural by New York-based artist TM Davy.

Early experience in hospitality: My mum, Marian, opened a coffee shop and delicatessen in Kenmare, County Kerry, when I was two years old. It was called Mickey Ned’s, after my Dad. She ran that for 20-odd years. Later she opened a bar and restaurant, also called Mickey Ned’s. (They two Mickey Ned’s did not exist at the same time). The second one was my first design project. My mum let me be involved with all the design decisions, from choosing light fixtures to figuring out the floor plan. And before that I had worked in the kitchen at the Sheen Falls Lodge, a five-star hotel in the area. It had a Michelin star at the time.

The Red Room at London's Connaught Hotel, designed by Bryan O'Sullivan.

Hospitality versus residential design: I absolutely love doing both, but they are very different. Commercial projects are less personal, more business, and generally move faster. Residential takes more time, and there's a definite limit to the amount of residential you can take on at one time. Why? Because residential clients need a lot more of your time and you need to give them the time that they need.

Advice for those considering working with an interior designer: It’s really important to develop a close relationship, because it's a long process that can take three to five years from start to finish. You need to establish trust, and both parties need to learn to listen so everybody feels heard.

New clients sometimes don't realize that designs don't happen overnight, it is a process, you won't instantly see a CGI of your finished room. It takes time for us as designers to understand what these rooms are going to look like. It sometimes takes a before these rooms start to reveal themselves: layouts, functionality, interior architecture, furniture.

The living room in a Paris townhouse designed by Bryan O'Sullivan.

Advice for young interior designers: Work for as many people as you can, and work for decent stints. There's no point going somewhere for a month. You need to do three or four years with someone to really immerse yourself. I have certain ex-colleagues that only worked in one place and then went out on their own. They would've learned a lot from whatever boss they were working for, but I think it is important to work for several bosses so you can pick and choose what you like, and develop your own style.

The interns that stand out in our studio are interested and keen. They are wanting to work on things and go the extra mile. I think the goal is get as much exposure as you can, see as much as you can, because there is so much to learn.

The cinema room of a London townhome, designed by Bryan O'Sullivan.

What makes a good hotel room: I could write a book about this. The key of good hotel room design is functionality, and there's so few hotels that get this right. There needs to be somewhere beside the bed to plug in electronics, but there are 5-star hotels we've stayed in with no outlet anywhere near the bed. Light switches are another thing that drives me crazy. I want the simplest system, where I can switch everything off from next to the bed, and don’t have to go round the room turning every individual thing off. And surface space in a bathroom. It is mind boggling that hotels, even recently renovated ones, don’t have enough space to put your toothbrush beside the sink.

Suite 410 at Claridge's in London, designed by Bryan O'Sullivan.

An interior you'd like to have a go at: We were in L.A. last year and went for lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel and I was quite disappointed. In my head it was very Dorothy Draper, but a lot of that doesn't exist there anymore. I would love a go at putting that back to what I feel it should be.

How having a child changed your design approach: We design for a lot of young families, and they always stress how kid’s areas need to have bullet proof materials because they have sticky hands that go on everything. I've always heard clients say this, but having lived through it I now have a greater understanding and appreciation.

Luckily, we renovated our apartment two years ago, and it has a lot of our furniture collection in it, including some of the prototypes we developed. Our furniture is very curvy, which it turns out is very child friendly. That should be our strap [tag] line: Family Friendly Designs - !

Why Customers Love Kamanu Catamaran

a drawing of a face

We had a wonderful ,relaxing voyage! Captain and his assistant were very friendly, informative and funny! It was a beautiful evening-we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect excursion.

Amazing opportunity to get sunset pictures. Enjoyed the company of the others on the boat and the boat crew.

We did the Sunset Cruise. Our captain was very patient, and waited 20 minutes for a couple who said they were 2 minutes away, and never did show up. That doesn't include the 30 minutes prior to launch that everyone was told to arrive at. Great crew, beautiful sunset, mai tais, beer and wine were great, and the food was more than anticipated for appetizers. Definitely would recommend!

We loved our sailing and snorkeling trip! The team was wonderful, and it was magical to snorkel and see the fish. We even saw Eagle Rays, swimming in parallel, a breaktaking highlight for us. Thank you!

Beautiful snorkelling trip with a great crew. Small group, very personable and friendly crew. Really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend to anyone who would love to enjoy snorkelling without the crowds.

Captain Peter or Paul and first mate Patrick were awsome on our sunset sail out of Kona. My son wanted a sailing catamaran not a motor sail and I found Kamanu on yelp. It did not disappoint, the crew snd boat was fabulous. Felt more intimate then the larger tours. You can’t go wrong with this crew.

Overall rating

The trip was great. Nice being out on the ocean. Catamaran felt safe. Captain and crew were friendly and competent. Lots to drink plus snacks. Always a beautiful sunset. Highly recommended. Would do it again. Mahalo!

We had a wonderful time on the sunset cruise. We had a one year old and three year old with us, and the whole family had a great time. The crew was amazing, the boat was clean, and the drinks were strong. My husband usua ... lly gets sea sick, but this was the first time he was completely fine. The boat is big and stable. The crew had several drink choices, snacks, and even brought out teriyaki rice bowls for everyone. They let my three year drive the boat, which made his whole trip. We’re definitely going again on this next time we’re on the Big Island.

Great crew, very friendly and provided a fantastic sunset!

Family trip to HI and topped it off with a great sunset cruise. Thank you to the staff for smooth sailing and a wonderful sunset. Definitely recommend this tour on every vacation to HI.

What our customers say...

"I think the sailing trip turned out exactly like I wanted. It was a great opportunity to see part of Hawaii from a different point of view and go some places that are pretty special. You and Sandy were good companions, good cooks and good teachers. We certainly appreciate all the effort and hard work you put into the trip. Nothing like this ever goes that well without thoughtful people that know what they are doing. I hope it was worthwhile for you and Sandy too."
