Top yachtcharter und service.

Beginnend mit sicheren Buchung der HW 11 und einer ruhigen Einweisung konnte es besser nicht sein. Wir starteten Montags, sind gut unterwiesen worden ohne Hektik. Genügend Zeit war zum verstauen und Auto parken auf sauberem und sicheren Gelände gleich in Bootsnähe.

Alles war wirklich perfekt!

Wir haben jetzt zum zweiten Mal ein Boot von der Familie Rienks gechartert. Über die Bewertung müssen wir nicht nachdenken. Wir können nur die Note 10 geben. Alles war wirklich perfekt. Die HW14 war auch zum Ende dieser Saison in einem Top Zustand.

And it is still something we do every day with a great deal of pleasure!

It is almost a matter of course for us now, but our company is located in a particularly beautiful part of the Netherlands. At least, that's what we think. And many of our customers agree!

Today, De Driesprong Yacht Charters is a renowned yacht charter company with a spacious marina, its own shipyard and a fleet of 26 boats, run by a motivated team of 7 people. 

But this was not always the case

In 1961, Henk and Alie Stekelenburg (the grandfather and grandmother of Frans) started a coffee house in Langelille, right on the "Driesprong", the intersection of the roads to Echtenerbrug, Langelille and Wolvega. Within a short amount of time, many steel Frisian scow boats were being built and sold by Frans's grandfather. Shortly afterwards, the Forel was built, the first ship that could be hired from De Driesprong Yacht Charters. She was by current standards 'only' 8 metres long but at the time, she was a whole ship.

Growth and a second generation within the family business

Every year, new ships were built to further expand the rental fleet. First with a number of Aquanaut models and then later on, the Aquacrafts, a De Driesprong design. Daan and his brother Henk helped their parents build these ships from a very young age.

The port in the picture had one major drawback. It was located behind a fixed bridge with a limited sailing clearance of less than 3 metres. As the ships grew larger over time to provide more comfort to those on board, this became a problem. 

Aquacraft, the birth of the De Driesprong line of ships

A completely new ship was designed and built in-house. The Sita was the first Aquacraft to be added to the fleet. She was christened in 1981, in the middle of winter. 

After receiving a lot of positive feedback on the features of the Sita, many other Aquacrafts followed, such as the:

• Aquacrafts 1000: Belone & Tinka
• Aquacrafts 1250: Fenris & Andreas
• Aquacrafts 1400: Tjonger, Kuinder, Remora, Hendrik Wouter, Atherina, Lota & Splendens

At one point, almost the entire fleet of De Driesprong Yacht Charters consisted of these well-designed ships. 

A new home port

After Daan and his sister Els took over the family business from their parents in 1996, they built an Aquacraft 1400. This ship was named Hendrik Wouter, in honour of their father, who passed away on in February 2000.  

Daan and Els wanted to give the Yacht Charter a modern home and started the expansion of the port on the other side of the fixed bridge in 2003. At the same time, construction began on the current company premises, including the warehouse for maintenance work. In addition, they also invested in their own boat lift, which makes servicing the boats even easier. All of this was completed in the spring of 2004, and in general, everything looks the same today as it did back then. 

3rd generation water sports enthusiast

In 2019, Daan and Els were able to enjoy their well-deserved retirement. After more than 33 years together at the helm of the company, it was now time to hand it over to Frans. 

At the time, Frans had been working in the offshore sector for 10 years and was therefore no stranger to turbulent waters. He took over the port, yacht charter and shipyard from his uncle and mother. 

A fresh wind blew through the company, and there was room to further expand the fleet and the De Driesprong team.

La Diege has really lovely indoor and outdoor spaces for her size, and a luxurious look. 

The Vri-jon Corvina is a perfect 8-man boat for groups of friends or large families. 

Copain is a modern Aquanaut, equipped with a luxury interior. Of course, she is equipped with a bow and stern thruster for ease of mooring. 

With its size, powerful engine and powerful bow and stern thrusters, the Belone is one of the easiest boats to sail.

The Alopia is a spacious Vri-Jon motor yacht with sleeping accommodation for 6 people. The boat has a cosy dinette and a spacious saloon. It is good to relax on the spacious aft deck.

Don't always want to visit marinas? With the Hendrik Wouter you are self-sufficient, thanks to her generator you always have power on board.

Terherne is a fantastic boat departure point as a result of its central location in the Friesian waters, on the Sneekermeer and near Sneek.

No boating license required

You will not need a boating licence for our boats. It goes without saying everyone going out on our boats will be given a full technical explanation before departure.

A harbour with plenty of extras

The harbour boasts some excellent sanitary facilities, power and water at the jetties and parking spaces for tenants on our own private site, right next to the harbour.

Non-stop-service

Our yachts are all in top condition. However, should you experience any problems whilst you are on the water: no problem at all, our technical service staff will be with you in a flash!

Rent a motorboat for 2 to 8 people

2-4 persons.

For someone who is new to watersporting, the Doerak is an ideal motorboat for cruising in Friesland. But the Doerak is also a suitable motorboat for more experienced skippers. The boat is compact, but thanks to its form it is spacious inside. Each Doerak has a bow thruster, which means they are very easy to manoeuvre!

2-5 persons

The Brûzer is a robust motorboat with classic lines, which is easy to sail. With its unique form the boat offers a lot of space inside, while remaining compact. This means that this motorboat offers the possibility of many cruising routes and you can discover all of Friesland's waterways!

The Kruiser

2-8 persons.

Experience a marvellous holiday on the water with a number of people. Our modern cruisers offer plenty of space, luxury and steering comfort. The perfect motorboat for 2-8 people. The Kruiser is a great boat for discovering Friesland in company!

Luxury open cockpit boats

Prefer a slightly more special motoryacht? Then a luxury motorboat with an open cockpit is a great choice. Suitable for 2-4 persons and just a bit different from the average rental boat. A cruising holiday becomes even more fun and relaxing with one of these motorboats!

The Kotter-Yacht

Rent a motoryacht with all the family, or even 2 families. This yacht has a very spacious interior, and the space is cleverly allocated to offer plenty of privacy, generous fixed berths and a shower and toilet both fore and aft. Cruise Friesland in style!

2+2 motoryachts

4-6 persons.

When we talk about a 2+2 motoryacht we mean, two completely equal cabins. Namely, two bathrooms (with toilet and shower) and two spacious bedrooms, each with a generous double bed. These luxury yachts are particularly suitable for two couples.

• Luxury motorboats

The luxury motorboats are for those who want to enjoy cruising, but want to do so with every convenience you can get into a boat. For example, central heating, double glazing, bow and stern thrusters, generous beds and bathrooms, and of course an attractive design!

Where can I cruise to with my motorboat?

Cruising on a motorboat is naturally not as fast as driving a car. This can sometimes make it difficult to judge distances. From our marina in Terherne via the Sneekermeer to Sneek takes approximately 1 hour. The cruising area that is permitted with our ships is: Friesland (Sailing is only permitted on the IJsselmeer for ships longer than 12 metres and equipped with an IJsselmeer package), Overijssel, Groningen and Drenthe.

Prachtige wintertrip Vanzelfsprekend werkte alles naar behoren aan boord. Alles was keurig schoon en de inventaris voorzag in alles voor deze geslaagde midweek. De Iris is ruim bemeten voor twee personen, vaart koerstabiel en is makkelijk te manoeuvreren met haar boeg en hekschroef. In deze periode waren we de enige recreatievaart op het water m.u.v. een enkele sportvisser. Het Friese winterlanschap was schitterend, zelfs in de dichte mist. 4,8 jelle

Heerlijk gevaren Boot was van alle gemakken voorzien voor een heerlijke vaartocht. Keuken goed uitgerust, koken ging prima. Daarnaast is de boegschroef is een welkome aanvulling om het manoeuvreren makkelijker te maken. Ook het zeil over de stuurhut werkt erg fijn en kan je in delen los of vast maken, afhankelijk van het weer. Na lang varen wordt het motorgeluid wel eentonig, maar dan kan je altijd even vastleggen of dobberen op het water. 5,0 Sebastiaan
