Moving indoors, the yacht’s full-beam main salon is flanked by large open windows that provide ambient light and exceptional views. The first of the “Generation X” creations. A bold coupé whose mark – a code used in the aeronautical world to refer to extreme performance and technological evolution – alludes to the unquenchable thirst to set sail for new horizons at great speed. Pershing 5X is the first page of a fabulous new chapter in the history of Pershing.

The design of the highly aerodynamic superstructure features the classic Pershing styling, such as the side wings protecting the cockpit, which can be separate or joined to the interior lounge with the innovative system to open and close the glass door and windows. The design is completed with four hull windows per bulwark, each with elliptical portholes, thus making the Pershing 5X a true “fighter jet” on the water.

The Pershing 5X comes with twin engines for more controlled or extreme performance: either twin VOLVO IPS950 D11 with 725hp, with Z-drives and counter-rotating propellers (cruising speed, 30 knots; top speed, 36 knots) or, alternatively, twin CAT 12.9 engines, 1,000hp each, with Top System 75X surface drives for a cruising speed of 41 knots and a top speed of 45 knots. It is prepared for Easy Dock, the innovative system that lets you operate it with a joystick.

Perfection at all times: thanks to its mobile spaces, Pershing 5X adapts to all weather conditions. The balance between natural light and the soft-hued interiors creates a welcoming atmosphere that is both bright and comfortable. The blend of essential design elements, lacquered frames and soft colors characterise the design of the living area. Below decks, the elegant and functional layout develops around the magnificent, full-beam owner's suite.

One of her key features is the hydraulically operated platform at the stern, capable of descending over 50 cm below the water surface. This unique feature can transform the beach club area into a submerged lounging area or, with added safety measures, a salt-water swimming pool. Moreover, her garage can seamlessly accommodate a 2.8 metre Williams tender. Her interiors include a main deck boasting a lounge with a dining table, a forward lounge, and a sliding glass roof for natural illumination. Her lower deck offers a full beam master suite and forward VIP cabin for up to four overnight guests, with a galley and dining area. + Aft area & Cockpit

The transom can be moved by means of an electro-hydraulic system that allows it into the water at various heights, up to approximately 60cm, simplifying the launching and hauling of the tender.

The garage can be accessed from the beach area when the door is open, while the cockpit can be reached via a few steps starboard of the garage door, or through a concealable gangway.

The cockpit is fitted with a large sundeck, headrest and a second sofa. The area can be separated or joined to the salon thanks to a special opening and closing system for the glass door and glazed surface that divides these two areas.

The glazed surface above the cockpit can be electrically lifted, while the two sections of the glass door can be opened or closed separately: the upper one can be manually tilted toward the outdoor ceiling panel; the lower one opens into the interiors, creating a partition between the salon and the cockpit and ensuring maximum safety when children are on board.

This solution also allows for the deck to be transformed into an open area from bow to stern, or to separate the interior from the outside depending on the weather conditions.

A blend of essential design elements, lacquered frames and fabrics in soft grey shades, are interspersed with darker and contrasting details, characterizing the design of the living area.

The flooring is finished in a similar grey-tone oak and further incorporates the colors of the other materials used on board.

It is present in all settings, except for the cabins, a warm and soothing atmosphere is created by the use of these colors, which is further enhanced by an abundance of natural light coming through the large windows on all four sides, or by the additional, indirect LED lighting installed in the ceiling, that can fully aluminate the interior, even at night. 

Beyond the dining and living area lies the plank, with a modern, sporty look designed by Besenzoni. Over the helm station is a large sliding glass roof. On the portside is another smaller sofa and chaise lounge.

The 5X is the first Pershing below 60 feet where the owner can enjoy a full-beam master suite with an en-suite bathroom and a dinette in front of the galley.

The first of the “Generation X” creations. A bold coupé whose mark – a code used in the aeronautical world to refer to extreme performance and technological evolution – alludes to the unquenchable thirst to set sail for new horizons at great speed. Pershing 5X is the first page of a fabulous new chapter in the history of Pershing.

The design of the highly aerodynamic superstructure features the classic Pershing styling, such as the side wings protecting the cockpit, which can be separate or joined to the interior lounge with the innovative system to open and close the glass door and windows.

The design is completed with four hull windows per bulwark, each with elliptical portholes, thus making the Pershing 5X a true “fighter jet” on the water.

The Pershing 5X comes with twin engines for more controlled or extreme performance: either twin VOLVO IPS950 D11 with 725hp, with Z-drives and counter-rotating propellers (cruising speed, 30 knots; top speed, 36 knots) or, alternatively, twin CAT 12.9 engines, 1,000hp each, with Top System 75X surface drives for a cruising speed of 41 knots and a top speed of 45 knots. It is prepared for Easy Dock, the innovative system that lets you operate it with a joystick.

ABOUT PERSHING YACHTS It started out as a simple shipyard in 1981 when three Italian friends Tilli Antonelli, Fausto Filippetti, and Giuliano Onori founded Cantiere Navale dell’Adriatico in Mondolfo, Italy. They built laminate boats but soon became more interested in motor yachts.

Pershing 5X

Description

The Pershing 5X, a closed 16-meter motor yacht with a hardtop, has been in production since 2016. The first information about this vessel appeared in January at a boat show in Dusseldorf, and the official premiere took place in September at the Cannes Yacht Festival. Pershing 5X is the first model in the X line of an Italian manufacturer.

The exterior was developed jointly by Fulvio De Simoni and the engineering department of Ferretti.

On the main deck there are: a living room, a control post and a lounge area. They are separated by sliding glass bulkheads, a special system of which allows you to open in the heat and close in the fall. At the hardtop, the glass part of the roof moves. The superstructure has panoramic glazing and integrated wings that protect the cockpit. The hydraulic platform at the stern drops below the water level by half a meter. On it, you can install a protective railing with a net and turn it into a seawater pool, which is convenient and safe for children. The garage accommodates a 2.8-meter Williams tender, which is launched from the swimming platform.

The layout of the lower deck is offered in two versions. The standard includes a dining room and two cabins: a master in the entire width of the yacht and VIP in the bow. The second option involves replacing the dining room with a third cabin, which can accommodate guests or crew. It has a separate entrance from the deck. The interior is dominated by gray and its dark contrasting shades.

Pershing 5X offers two propulsion systems. Two Volvo IPS 725 hp drives improve maneuverability, but reduce speed - 30-35 knots. A pair of 1,000 hp Surface Drives allow you to accelerate to 41-45 knots. Cruising range 290 miles. The yacht received certification B, that is, it is intended for access to the sea no further than 200 miles from the coast.
