Goofy but fun Sci-Fi channel "original" which is a little bit "The Fog", a little bit "The Mist", and a whole lot of wacky. On a small island in Washington state, a lightning strike on a memorial in a cemetery releases a group of ghosts who were killed in a mass suicide who begin wreaking havoc. Only the sheriff and his ex-wife, a weather researcher can save the day, with some all too brief help from Aaron Douglas as a paranormal investigator.

One thing's for sure, Sci-Fi channel movies kill people good, and with no compunctions. Pretty much everyone that isn't the main three cast members gets offed, and rather spectacularly at that. The CGI is actually pretty decent compared…

Although its kinda a potpourri of popular horror movies Ghost Storm was an entertaining little b-movie. Director Paul Ziller (Pledge Night)gives the Scyfy Network one of their best original movies ever.

A small island off the Washington coasts is having a large number paranormal activity and gets cutoff from the rest of the world by a Ghost Storm (spooky clouds which kills what they touch)

Kinda like the Mist, Kinda like The Fog, Kinda like Ghostbusters, ...kinda entertaining.

Definitely what I needed for a lazy Sunday viewing after being duped by coverart the last time (Piggy, not cheesy as cover implies) i knew i needed to go with a safe fun choice for Sunday Funday

This is my type of movie and I’m super glad they added it to Netflix , otherwise I wouldn’t have known about it. 

An hour and a half movie about a deadly storm filled with ghosts? it’s like they made this movie specifically for me.

It’s another in our glorious long line of “films that can be entirely described by their title”. I would lay good money on the mental image you have right now being about 75% correct, but if you have a bad imagination, read on.

Teenagers in a graveyard! (actually, I think that should be a SyFy Channel original movie title, or the name of a bad band) They witness their little island’s main memorial, to the people who died in 1912 due to a cult suicide, split by a lightning strike. The golden medallion falls off the front, and the GHOST STORM emerges, sucking the soul right out of a horny male teenager.

Sometimes you just watch a film that is so bad that it just drains all your life and power. Ghost Storm was one of those for me.

I'm very familiar with bad made for TV films. This isn't my first SyFy production either. And still this film just beat me to death. The plot so very stupid and boring at the same time. The effects are terrible. All characters unlikeable, unconvincing and uninteresting.

There is a lot of repetition in the script. I'm pretty sure you could do a drinking game for how often someone says "This is not funny". Plotwise nothing makes sense or is interesting so there goes any enjoyment. There is no thrill, no suspense. You just wait for the credits to roll. The lazy twist didn't change anything.

Bad, bad, tiring movie. No... I don't want anymore. I'm done. Ugh...
