Hasbro Pulse has just released a new crowd-funded project for the 50th anniversary of the Ghost Rider franchise. Showing some love to the Robbie Reyes version of the 2014 Marvel Ghost Rider character and the Engine of Vengeance, the release is of a 1:12 scale version of the car — 18.5 L x 7.5 W x 5.5 H inches.

The flaming muscle car features 20 LEDs that can be found in the Hellfire light-up effects in the tires, engine, grill, tailpipes, and driver’s seat headrest. There are also six flame trail effect pieces for tires and tailpipes, two Brimstone Risers for a dynamic car display, four interchangeable tires, and one additional engine to convert the Engine of Vengeance from Hellfire Mode to Street Mode. There is also a six-inch figure of Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider with a real metal chain.

If the HasLab Marvel Legends Engine of Vengeance campaign reaches its minimum goal of 9,000 backers before 11:59 PM EST on September 23, 2022, all project backers before the campaign ends on October 31, 2022 will receive the exclusive Marvel Legends Robbie Reyes Human-Form 6-Inch scale figure.

If the campaign does not reach its minimum goal of 9,000 backers before 11:59 PM EST on September 23, 2022, the Early-Bird Special Marvel Legends Robbie Reyes Human-Form figure will not go into production.

Fire Up the Engine of Vengeance

The only thing more iconic than a Ghost Rider is their signature vehicle. For Robbie Reyes, it’s a black muscle car possessed by the spirit of Elias Morrow that transforms from sleek antique to Hellfire-powered Engine of Vengeance. The Marvel Legends 6-inch scale Engine of Vengeance comes with 18 total pieces for converting the car between two modes — Street Mode and Hellfire Mode. Inspired by Robbie Reyes’s car that can burst into flames of Hellfire, the vehicle comes equipped with 20 LEDs and 7 accessories designed to make the car appear to be crackling with the flames of vengeance.

Street Mode

The Street Mode version of the vehicle is a classic black muscle car inspired by the All-New Ghost Rider comics. It comes with a classic silver supercharged engine that snaps into the hood of the car, as well as four standard tires made from vinyl for a realistic texture. These pieces are used without LED effects and can be removed and replaced with illuminated Hellfire pieces.

Hellfire Mode

Comes with 11 translucent Hellfire Accessories designed to transform the vehicle into a true Engine of Vengeance. Includes four transparent orange Hellfire tires and four Fire Rim accessories designed to make it look like the wheels have flames coming out of them. Two Exhaust Flame pieces can be plugged into the tailpipes for more flame effects. When you attach the flaming Hellfire Engine to the hood of the car and press down, LEDs are activated for fire-inspired lights. All 11 translucent Hellfire Accessories glow when the LEDs turn on to give the impression that the car is powered by flames from the Spirit of Eli. LEDs flicker and pulse to look like crackling fire. Press down on the Hellfire Engine to cycle through different light sequences and supercharge up your display case.

Beyond Hellfire

In addition to the Hellfire Accessory pieces, there are further light-up sections to give the Engine of Vengeance a supernatural look. There is an LED light behind the driver’s seat headrest that will light up behind Ghost Rider’s head, making it look like the flames coming out of his skull are on fire when he’s inside the car. The grill and taillights of the car also glow with LEDs for a total of 20 LEDs throughout the vehicle. Snap in the Hellfire Engine to get all the lights glowing. (Requires 3 AA batteries. Not included.)

Marvel Legends’ Most Premium Vehicle Yet

Buckle up for the first Marvel Legends HasLab vehicle. Designed to enhance any Marvel Legends collector’s shelf, the Engine of Vengeance vehicle features a premium design aimed to delight Marvel fans and car enthusiasts alike. With impressive display capabilities, the vehicle has premium detailing, finish, and functionality. The vehicle is designed at a 6-inch scale, measuring approximately 18.5 inches long x 7.5 inches wide x 5.5 inches tall. The driver’s and passenger side doors both open and close to fit a 6-inch figure in each seat. The passenger seat is also removable to place a 6-inch figure in the backseat! Car can fit three standard 6-inch Marvel Legends figures inside at once. We meticulously added as many design details as possible, including a trunk door that opens to hold Ghost Rider’s accessories inside, wheels that roll and front wheels that can be manually turned to position the car in different ways, and an articulated skull gear shifter. The Engine of Vengeance vehicle has molded details on the bottom of the car and a high-gloss shine finish.

Hell on Wheels

For additional display capabilities, the Engine of Vengeance comes with two Brimstone Risers — unique smoke-themed ramps that fit under either the two front or two back tires. Risers can be placed underneath the tires to give the impression of smoke billowing from the flaming wheels. They also work as ramps underneath the front tires to pose the car as though it is about to take off, inspired by the car’s supernatural capabilities in the comics.

Robbie Reyes: A New Ghost Rider

In 2014, the Ghost Rider franchise met their newest hero in Robbie Reyes with All-New Ghost Rider Vol. 1: Engine of Vengeance . A teenager living in East Los Angeles and caring for his disabled brother, the course of Robbie Reyes’s future was changed forever after he entered a street race using a muscle car, that unbeknownst to Robbie, was bound to an evil spirit. That fateful decision led to him being killed as collateral in a gang war and awakening imbued with the spirit of Eli Morrow. Robbie is then set on a path to fight for more than just vengeance, but justice — and fighting Eli for his soul along the way. Empowered by a metal Hellfire Chain, his flaming car, and a wicked new spirit, Robbie Reyes is Ghost Rider.

For the first time in the Marvel Legends line, fans can collect the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider. This 6-inch-scale figure features premium design and articulation, wearing a comics-inspired black racing suit. Ghost Rider’s head has translucent orange flames that glow when he is placed in the driver’s seat of the car and the LEDs are activated. Ghost Rider figure comes with pick hammer and crowbar accessories linked with a 5-inch real metal chain, inspired by Marvel Comics. Designed for the ultimate comics-inspired Ghost Rider display.

Early Bird Special: Double the Display Capability

Two modes of the Engine of Vengeance car call for two drivers. If the campaign reaches its minimum goal of 9,000 backers before 11:59 PM EST September 23, 2022 all backers will receive an additional Marvel Legends 6-inch scale figure: Robbie Reyes in his human form. The exclusive version of Robbie Reyes will feature changes to his outfit and his human head with a comics-inspired look. This means backers will have two distinct figures for each display mode of the car. If the project is not backed by 11:59 PM EST on September 23, 2022, the Robbie Reyes Human-Form figure will not go into production, and only the Ghost Rider figure of Robbie Reyes will be included with the offering.

After the Marvel Legends Galactus and Marvel’s Sentinel HasLab projects were funded, we started brainstorming new and different ways to enhance our fans’ shelves and contribute a meaningful addition to your collections. With 2022 marking the 50th anniversary of Ghost Rider, we created the first premium 6-inch-scale automobile in the Marvel Legends line. The Engine of Vengeance HasLab project was the perfect opportunity to develop an impressive, premium vehicle to amp up our collectors’ shelves. Hasbro just unveiled its latest HasLab campaign for the Marvel Legends series, and it is a thing of beauty. Now officially open for its funding campaign is the Ghost Rider Engine of Vengeance for the six-inch Marvel Legends series.

The HasLab campaign for the Marvel Legends Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider Engine of Vengeance is up now on the Hasbro Pulse website . The set includes the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider, along with his own unique ride, the Engine of Vengeance.

HASBRO UNVEILS GHOST RIDER ENGINE OF VENGEANCE HASLAB CAMPAIGN

Hasbro started its HasLab crowdfunding projects a while back to bring some special, unique collectibles to life. It started with the Star Wars The Vintage Collection Jabba’s Sail Barge, and it later transitioned to the Transformers: War for Cybertron series with Unicron, the Sentinel from X-Men for Marvel Legends, Galactus for Marvel Legends, the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian, and more recently, VIctory Saber from Transformers and the HISS Tank from GI Joe: Classified.

Robbie Reyes’s Ghost Rider and the Engine of Vengeance is the latest project to come from HasLab. It includes a 6″-inch scale Engine of Vengeance as inspired by the muscle car’s appearance in Marvel Comics All-New Ghost Rider , released in 2014. The Engine of Vengeance is scaled for 1:12 figures and is approximately 18.5 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches tall.

The car has 20 LEDs for light-up Hellfire effects in its tires, engine, grill, tailpipes, and driver’s seat headrest. The light-up features will require 3 AA batteries, which unfortunately are not included with this set, even for its whopping price of $350.00 plus tax and shipping. It also comes with six flame trail effect pieces for the car tires and tailpipes, two brimstone risers for displaying the car, and four interchangeable tires.

It also has an extra engine piece to convert the car from Hellfire Mode to Street Mode. Included with the set is a 6-inch scale Exclusive Marvel Legends Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider figure. It includes comic-inspired accessories and a real metal chain.

Now, here are the particulars. Fans will have from now until 11:59 pm ET on Oct. 31, 2022, to decide if they want one of their own or not. Prospective buyers are limited to only five pieces. If the project is successfully funded, the Engine of Vengeance is expected to ship in Fall 2023. The project requires 9,000 backers to move forward.

As of printing this article, the article has more than 3,100 backers. That’s more than a third of the required 9,000 backers in less than a day. So, it’s highly likely the project will be successfully funded and meet its tier unlocks. Here’s a more comprehensive gallery to see what the whole shebang comes with:

GHOST RIDER ENGINE OF VENGEANCE HASLAB TO FEATURE EARLY BIRD SPECIAL FIGURE

Now, let’s get into the fun extras. If the project manages to reach its initial funding goal of 9,000 backers by 11:59 pm ET on Sept. 23, 2022, all the fans who back the project before the end of Oct. 31 will receive an additional figure: a Marvel Legends Robbie Reyes Human Form 6-inch scale figure. The only way this figure will get made is if the project meets its funding goal of 9,000 backers by the end of Sept. 23. Otherwise, Reyes Human Form figure won’t go into production.

The Engine of Vengeance will have opening doors on the passenger and driver’s sides. 6-inch figures can fit in both seats. The passenger seat can also be removed to put another 6-inch figure in the backseat, so it can fit three figures at once. The trunk has also been designed to open and hold all of Ghost Rider’s accessories. The wheels can roll, and the front wheels can be manually turned in different directions. It also has a skull gear shifter.

Not yet revealed are the additional tier unlocks if the project surpasses its initial funding goal. Hasbro teased that they are reaching “into the depths of the Marvel underworld” for some additional unlocks to the campaign. However, fans will have to wait to find out what the stretch goals and unlocks are later on.

The Hasbro Marvel Legends team looks to have outdone itself once again with this new HasLab reveal, and they did it well ahead of this year’s PulseCon. PulseCon is running on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. The virtual event will feature new reveals for Hasbro’s various brands, including Marvel Legends, along with exclusive product drops.

What’s more, Hasbro also recently revealed a new Marvel Legends Series Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider, with a retro card back, that’s also now available for preorder on the Hasbro Pulse website . Fans who get the Engine of Vengeance can have Johnny Blaze and Robbie Reyes team up and ride side-by-side together in this new vehicle. New Ghost Rider Engine of Vengeance HasLab Project Revealed by Hasbro Pulse

During another Hasbro Pulse Marvel Legends Series live stream today, the team revealed the third Marvel HasLab project: The Engine of Vengeance.

Marvel Legends is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Ghost Rider franchise with a new type of HasLab project: Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider and the Engine of Vengeance!

50 years ago, the supernatural super hero first rode off the pages of Marvel Comics and into the realm of Marvel legend. From Carter Slade to Johnny Blaze to Danny Ketch to Robbie Reyes, many names have taken on the Ghost Rider mantle, fueled by vengeance and a sick ride. The next Marvel Legends HasLab project will bring another Ghost Rider to life like never before, starring a vehicle unlike any on your shelf. With Hasbro Pulse, fans can bring the Spirit of Vengeance into our realm — and it won't even cost you your soul!

Engine of Vengeance vehicle inspired by the supernatural muscle car in Marvel Comics All-New Ghost Rider (2014)
Premium 1:12 scale car design measuring approximately 18.5 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches tall

During an interview with comic writer and creator of Robbie Reyes, Felipe Smith, he revealed that the 3L1 MRW custom license plate on the car is a nod to Eli Morrow, the character whose spirit possesses the engine of vengeance.

While additional unlocks were teased for this new HasLab project, they were not revealed at this time. However, Dwight, as always, left us with a little tease that these future unlocks will all be additional figures rather than accessories for the vehicle.
This crowdfunded project will run from September 16, 2022, to 11:59pm ET on October 31, 2022.
If successful, the project will begin shipping around Fall 2023.

Marvel Legends Mephisto Revealed as Ghost Rider HasLab Tier 1 Unlock

The newest Marvel Legends HasLab campaign is underway with the Ghost Rider Engine of Vengeance. Robbie Reyes wield his own power and his own Hellcharger ride with this fantastic crowd-funding campaign. The Marvel Legends team has already stated that all Tier Unlocks will be Legends figure and that they will be of the demonic persuasion. Slowly but surely, this Ghost Rider campaign is getting funded and the numbers have just jumped after the reveal that Mephisto himself is here. That is right, Marvel Comics devil himself is arriving for the campaign with an incredible sculpt and sinister detail! It is unclear if he will be loose or get his own packaging similar to the G.I.Joe HasLab, but for $350 I hope he is.

Marvel Legends Mephisto Revealed as Ghost Rider HasLab Tier 1 Unlock

The Engine of Vengeance is a very well done Ghost Rider collectible, with LEDs, swappable parts, and a brand-new Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider figure. It is the price that really kicks this bad boy into high gear and Hasbro really needs to deliver with these Tiers. I have no doubt the Ghost Rider Hellcharger will get funded, but these 3,000 backers per figure are going to be a killer. This is the one Marvel Legends Haslab that gives me Rancor vibes, but thinking they know what fans want and do not deliver. Mephisto is a perfect figure to really bring this baby home, and if this is only Tier 1, then I hope Hasbro just puts all the cards on the table soon. You can follow the Ghost Rider Engine of Vengeance campaign right here and if you want a human-form Robbie Reyes then we need that 9,000 backers by Friday.

if people didn't want to buy it for whatever reason, then that is their choice. There is nothing unforgivable about it. Their money, their choice. It's not just about you. This was a poorly price haslab and people spoke with their money which is their right. You need to grow up and realize that it not just about you.

Honestly, I dont need anyones forgiveness because I dont owe any other collector the realization of their toy dreams. Not to mention, that I dont have the power to stand in your way. The Hellcharger offering came across to me as insulting and greedy and its my own values I answer to when I dont participate or when I speak up about how I feel. If any person was able to influence another not to by this product, I see that only as a reflection that the offering was substandard according to what the market could support. That just economics, baby. My life will be identical whether anyone forgives me for that or not. You need to rage and blame? You do you, my fellow fan.

Sadly it's not surprising that this failed, there was so many things against it. The Price, the lack of universal appeal, the poor choice of tier figures, the early bird figure, etc. Still I'll wait for Lizard faced Mephisto and Marvel Woman

True. Despite what was said, I don't buy for a second that they can't release GQ or really, any figure they dang well choose. Especially since they barely deliver to brick and mortar in the first place, especially since they have Pulse, and especially now with windowless boxing? There's ust no excuse. Frankly, those exact figures not getting released is no loss, because we want the figures released in their classic forms. Refusing to make them now is just cutting off their nose to spite their face.

It is beyond all reason that you, I and anybody else, were completely free to buy the comics and statues these characters appeared in when we were kids, but now in the 21st century, are being told that they're too...whatever....to be sold in plastic action figure form, now that we're adults. I cannot even believe this is a discussion.

This is a good day. I hope the real lesson learned here for hasbo is that they need to seriously listen to their customer base.

Dwight said they can't release Goblin queen in anything more risque than the outfit she had for the Haslab. He didn't rule out one of her other outfits (more conservative), or another look for Mephisto for the future, but from what he told folks in interviews recently, it sounds like these exact figures are never coming out without the Haslab going forward.

Live from the NYCC 2022 show room floor we now have nice booth images of the Hasbro Marvel Legends Ghost Rider Engine of Vengance Haslab featuring Robbie Reyes, Madelyne Pryor and Mephisto. Check out all the new New York Comic Con 2022 Ghost Rider Images after the jump.

Hasbro have shared out the second unlock tier for the Ghost Rider Engine of Vengence Haslab project. At 10,000 backers, Madelyne Pryor will unlock and come with the final package. She joins MEPHISTO, who will unlock at 12,000 units. A total of 9,000 is required for the base package of the car and Ghost Rider to unlock before these have a chance.
