10 Celebs That Appeared On 'Ghost Whisperer’ Before They Became Famous
Before she was Captain Marvel, Brie Larsen appeared on the supernatural drama series – and she’s not the only star who did so.
In 2005, Ghost Whisperer premiered on CBS and told the story of a young woman named Melinda Gordon, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, who can see the dead. An antique shop owner in a small town, Melinda helps ghosts cross over by helping them complete their unfinished business. This show ran for five seasons before it was cancelled.

But before the show came to an end, there were many cameos from minor celebrities who would become big names in time. The show even managed to nab already well known stars like Lori Loughlin, Mary J. Blige, Solange, Kay Panabaker, and even Hilary Duff, so it’s no surprise that it became a home for the future famous.
10 Joey King
Like every star, Joey King started her career with numerous guest star roles, including one as the child ghost Cassidy in season five of Ghost Whisperer . She would then go on to star in films like Ramona and Beezus, The Conjuring, Crazy Stupid Love, The Lie, as well as her most well known role in Netflix’s Kissing Booth (and its two sequels). She would also receive tons of praise for her acting performance as Gyspy in the drama series The Act based on the true story of Gypsy Blanchard. And since the actress is only twenty-two years old, something tells us that the best is yet to come.
9 Aaron Paul
Aaron Paul appeared in the first season of Ghost Whisperer , in a flashback scene where it was revealed that he killed the ghost that Melinda is trying to help cross over. Ironically, the ghost is played by Giancarlo Esposito, who would later go on to star with Paul in the smash hit Breaking Bad (which earned many awards and nominations including several Primetime Emmy). Aaron Paul would also go on to reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman in the 2019 Netflix movie El Camino . Other prominent roles in Paul’s career include Need for Speed , HBO series Big Love, Bojack Horseman, Eye in the Sky, and Central Intelligence .
8 Brie Larson
Despite her cameo in season three of Ghost Whisperer as the ever-so-popular Krista who might be in danger of a teenage haunting, Brie Larson has since focused more on the big screen than the small screen. She is best known for her roles in the movies Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, 21 Jump Street, The Spectacular Now, Kong: Skull Island , and as Captain Marvel in MCU’s film of the same name and Avengers: Endgame . Not to mention her praise worthy performance in 2015’s Room , which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress. She also gained praise for the critically acclaimed film The Glass Castle .

7 Wentworth Miller
Appearing in the very first episode of the show, Wentworth Miller played a ghost veteran who just wants some closure with the son he never got to meet. The very same year, he portrayed Michael Scofield in the Emmy-nominated hit Prison Break . The series ran for four seasons, a television movie, and then a revival fifth season eight years after the movie closed the chapter on the story. He is also well-known for his role as Leonard Snart (a.k.a. Captain Cold) in many DC TV projects, including The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow , and Batwoman .
6 Matthew Morrison
In the episode “Bad Blood”, Matthew Morrison played one half of a ghost pair possessing anyone who moves into their home and reenacting their demise. Despite dabbling in film and television throughout his career, Morrison is best known for his role as teacher Will Shuester in Fox’s Glee . Another Glee member to make an appearance in this show would be Jayma Mays (who played Morrison's on screen love interest in Glee ). She played Jennifer Billings, a girl being haunted by her biological father. Morrison has appeared in a variety of things including Broadway productions like Hairspray and Finding Neverland . He has also appeared on shows like The Good Wife, Grey’s Anatomy , and American Horror Story: 1984 .
5 Mae Whitman
A star in her own right at the time due to her voice acting chops (especially as Katara in the well known series Avatar ), Mae Whitman guest starred in the episode "Don't Try This at Home" in season three of Ghost Whisperer . She went on to appear as a main character in shows like Parenthood and Good Girls . She even continues growing her voice acting skills with roles in Young Justice, American Dad!, DC: Super Hero Girls , and The Owl House . But despite being in mostly kid-friendly content, she has starred in mature movies like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Perks of Being a Wallflower , and The DUFF .
4 Omid Abtahi
An antagonist of sorts for Melinda, Omid played blogger Justin Yate who wants to expose the truth about her gifts to the world. But he has his own hauntings to worry about, ones that could be fatal at any moment. He continued his guest work with roles in The Mentalist, Hawaii Five-0, The Mandalorian, and Fear the Walking Dead . He has also gone on to star in Neil Gaiman’s book series based show American Gods as Salim. He also does a lot of voice acting work in numerous TV shows as well as video games.

3 Vanessa Marano
Vanessa Marano’s appearance as Alise (a young girl who finds herself in danger in both the cyber and real world) in the fourth season of Ghost Whisperer really cemented her as a guest star staple. She went on to appear in shows like Dexter, Medium, Parenthood, Private Practice, Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19 , and 9-1-1 . But Marano is best known for her role in ABC Family’s (now Freeform) Switched At Birth as Bay Kennish, one of the two girls who was switched and feels like a black sheep in her upper class family.
2 Evan Peters
Before his cameo in season five of Ghost Whisperer as a ghost who thinks he was murdered by a cop, Evan Peters was a recurring character veteran as he appeared in shows like, House, Phil of the Future and even CW’s One Tree Hill . After his cameo, he still maintained his guest star energy, appearing in episodes of well known shows like Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, and The Office . But his climb to fame went on to happen, as Peters became a household name with roles like Haynes in Kick-Ass , various roles in the American Horror Story anthology series, and becoming Quicksilver in various Fox Marvel projects (and even going so far as to enter into the MCU).
1 Abigail Breslin
A star on the rise with her iconic debut in Signs , Abigail Breslin cameoed in the episode “Melinda’s First Ghost” as a ghost from Melinda’s past that has stuck around to make sure her family stays together before she departs. The same year, she would also guest star in Grey’s Anatomy as the girl who can’t feel pain and go on to star in the film Little Miss Sunshine . She would also go on to have a lengthy career, appearing in movies like Nim’s Island, My Sister’s Keeper, Zombieland , and Final Girl . She would also play one of the main role in Fox’s horror comedy Scream Queens .

The ghost whisperer series finale review: "the children's parade".
Last night marked the season finale of The Ghost Whisperer - and by the looks of it, the series finale. Tear.
Hopefully another station will pick up our favorite spooky show! ( Hint - Hint - ABC, Cmon! Please!? )

Finally the Shinies came back into play and we get what we've been waiting for! The ultimate battle between the light and the dark.
It was interesting to find out that the Shinies are a bunch of children. Children are known as being pure innocents so it would make sense that the Shinies were only made up of ghost children.
This also answered our question on why the Shadows were so interested in getting ghost children above anyone else. The Shadows were trying to build a bigger army to destroy the Shinies, but the Shinies are stronger and more powerful.
" The Children's Parade " really showed us what Aiden is made out of - Bravery. He knew that it was up to him to lead the battle against the Shadows to save his mother and he not only pulled it off, but gave a remarkable speech to get the Shinies together.
So now that the Shinies destroyed the Shadows - do you think that they will be able to gather their powers and come back again? Could this really be the end of the Shadows? We have a feeling that if another station decides to pick up this show, it won't be!
We were surprised that Bedford was no where to be seen throughout this episode. His storyline was crucial to the battle and yet when the chip fell - he was M.I.A. What gives? If this episode really is the series finale, it would have been nice to have him cross over into the light.
Overall, we were pretty impressed with this last episode and the fact that it ended happily with the family together and really no cliffhangers. What surprised us most is how non-creepy Aiden was. We even venture to say he was cute! Especially at the end when he told his mom he was brave like she is every day. Awe!
What did you think of the series/season finale?! Do you think this show should be saved? Leave your thoughts below!

National Treasure: Making History

National Treasure: Edge of History is a new action-adventure series brought to us by Disney + . Unlike the movies, the Series does not have Nicolas Cage as the main character, Benjamin Gates. The series instead follows the main character of Jess Valenzuela's journey as she uncovers a lost treasure, hidden for centuries. One of the notable aspects of the television series is the representation of women, with many adventure-action movies and shows typically featuring women as side-kicks or love interests of the main, male protagonist. We all love seeing action-packed characters like Indiana Jones and The Mummy's Rick O'Connell. However, it is refreshing to see another female Tomb-raider-like character on our screens!
