After embarking on Titan from the H.E.L.M., players can begin the adventure of hunting for Xivu Arath’s memory collectibles in Ghosts of the Deep. A total of 12 memories can be found across all three encounters of the new Destiny 2 dungeon introduced in Season of the Deep , so be careful not to miss any.

In Memoriam

One of the triumphs that will net players the “Ghoul” title in Destiny 2 is In Memoriam, which acts as a checklist for the Memory collectibles that players can find in Ghosts of the Deep. There are 12 Memory fragments that players can find, and players will find themselves a unique reward for completing the In Memoriam triumph.

Not only will In Memoriam count as one of the twelve required triumphs for the title, but players will find themselves claiming an additional Exotic drop rate, extending their chance at earning The Navigator , an Exotic Trace Rifle exclusive to this dungeon that adds to the best Trace Rifles in Destiny 2 .

As soon as players load into Ghosts of the Deep dungeon they will be able to find the first Memory. From where they are standing, players want to head down the muddy path whilst keeping their eyes to the right to watch for a bout of broken trees near a pit of rocks.

From near this location, players will be able to crouch and walk under the trees to sneak into a section of the Archeology. Following down the corridor with red lights as a guide, players will find the first Memory toward a bench, thus claiming the only Memory in the first encounter of Break the Ritual.

After players complete the first encounter of Ghosts of the Deep, they will be close to reaching the second Memory. Guardians that team up in search of this Memory will want to head down the path that opens from completing the encounter, dropping below the drilling platform and entering the cut-open wired fence.

Before players proceed through the circular corridor, they are going to want to stick to the left platform, and use their Guardian jumps to leap up the cubes protruding from the wall, reaching into the upper room with red lights to find the 2nd Memory.

Continuing through the drilling platform, and directly before the room that spawns Acolytes and Knights, players will be able to find the 3rd Memory. Players will know they have ventured too far if they enter a large room that begins the diving encounter.

From below the large dropdown, players will note that they are in the right area due to the pink lights. Players can then use their jump to stand on the three tubes in the center of the room. Jumping again, players will reach the left platform of the room, where they will locate and collect the third Memory.

After acquiring Memory 3, players can head out of the pink room and proceed to eliminate the Hive Acolytes and Knights that spawn here. Following the center of the room towards the end, players are going to drop directly down the hole to land on the broken platform, and now, wait for the right moment to jump onto the rotating platforms.

RELATED: Destiny 2: Things Only Veterans Remember

Players want to be careful not to fall from this rotating platform, as the big drop below won’t allow them to get back up in this time-gated area. On the rotating platform, players want to head to the front of it and wait until they can collect the Memory in the center pillar.

Once players head into the water for the first time in the dungeon, they will find the 5th Memory in the first room under the water. Players should make sure to grab the air bubbles so that the Pressure Resistance meter does not kill them, thus sending them further back and setting their progress back in the dungeon.

Memory 5 is located in the first underwater room, easily found by the half-open elevator door. Guardians can squeeze inside to find the 5th Memory sitting on the ground along with 3 air bubbles, and then engage themselves in the journey of the 6th.

Directly from the room that holds the 5th Memory, players will run directly opposite the Memory 5 location to the open window, indicated by the many air bubbles surrounding it. The journey is dangerous due to the Pressure Resistance constantly draining, so it’s best to follow the path of air bubbles.

Players want to drop down until they see a platform harboring a few air bubbles. This section is indicated by the first fan that players can use, but they are going to want to head to the left of that fan, up the stairs, and to the left again to find Memory 6 awaiting on the ledge, next to an air bubble.

Heading up the first fan that players find, players will enter a room where they don’t have to worry about Pressure Resistance for now. It’s good to use this room as a short break, as collecting can be quite a challenge, whether it's collecting all Exotic fish or Memories, especially when it’s intimidating due to the time-gated content. However, when ready, head through the elevator shaft to drop down into the water again.

Players can ignore the room they land in, as well as the many rotating platforms. They are going to want to land at the bottom with the room that holds the cracked glass. From here, they want to head outside and take a left, which will lead them around the outside area. Memory 7 will be sitting on a ledge quite some distance away, but follow the footing and players will find it.

Continuing through the section, players will once again find themselves going up a fan to land in a room. With yet another long elevator shaft that will lead them back under the water. Once underwater, players should obtain the “Reach the Wreckage” checkpoint, indicating that they are ready to collect Memory 8.

RELATED: Destiny 2: Things You Should Never Buy From Vendors

From dropping into the methane sea, players need to take a hard left and follow the glowing light that is near the coral and other sea life. This dead end is where the 8th Memory fragment is, leaving just 4 more to go for the journey to be complete.

Progressing through the Reach the Wreckage segment of Ghosts of the Deep, players will find themselves battling against the first group of Hive enemies in the area. After this section, players want to once again progress through to the water wall that will lead them back into the underwater section of the encounter, where their view should show them the Lucent Hive ship in the distance.

From here, players want to take a right and head up the sea plant life to find Memory 9, along with some air pockets to safely get back to their original position, and now head through the wreckage that they are going to explore for Memory 10.

Now inside the wreckage, players won’t have to worry about any more underwater sections for now. They will, however, have to be on the lookout for many Hive forces that are there to deter progress. Once players have run past or taken care of the Hive, they will find themselves in a long corridor, with plenty of tunnels leading them to the next area.

Players should take the second to last upper left tunnel in this area, as that will spit them out onto a platform where they will have easy access to Memory 10. Players will want to jump onto the circular hole on the left, and then jump into the circular hole spurting out water. Within this hole is Memory 10. Now, all players have to do is defeat the first boss in Ghosts of the Deep to reach the next one, but maybe a cheese guide will help with that.

There is only one Memory to worry about after defeating Ecthar, the Shield of Savathun . The 11th Memory is found rather quickly upon the completion of the second encounter, and all players need to do is head through the underwater section until they are back into a Hive room.

The correct room is indicated by the Hive and Cursed Thrall that lurk here. Players will want to look to their left to find a gated-off area. Behind the bars of this area is a Calcified Fragment, which holds the 11th Memory inside. Once done, players can head to the final encounter of Ghosts of the Deep for the last Memory.

Memory 12 can only be collected once players have killed Simmumah Ur-Nokru , the Lucent Necromancer. Once the final encounter has been completed, players have 600 seconds to explore the boss area and the remains of Oryx, the Taken King . These 10 minutes are more than enough time to complete the quick puzzle to find the 12th Memory.

During this time, players will want to head towards the Lightbearer Acolyte room on the upper left part of Oryx’s corpse. From here, players will find the same Deepsight puzzle that was present throughout the final encounter. Heading past the waterfall, players will be able to line up the circle to Oryx’s symbol, and then traverse through the cave that unlocks. Reaching the end, they will find the 12th and final Memory fragment.

Destiny 2 is now available PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

All Memory of Darkness locations - Destiny 2

All 12 locations for the Memory of Darkness collectibles found in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon in Destiny 2.

Bill Lavoy

The Ghosts of the Deep dungeon in Destiny 2 features 12 Memory of Darkness collectibles that players can acquire as they explore the depths and fight the Lucent Hive. In this guide, we’ll show you the locations of all 12, allowing you to unlock the In Memoriam Triumph and increasing your chances of getting The Navigator Exotic Trace Rifle from the final encounter chest.

Because so much of the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon looks similar, it can be tough to pick one collectible out of the lot and focus in on it. Ideally, you're following this guide from start to finish, but you'll find screenshots for each Memory of Darkness that will pinpoint where it's located. Keep in mind some of them are in the same underwater sections, meaning you won't have much time to stop and read the next entry in this guide. It's always advised to read ahead just little so you don't miss something. Specifically, read Memory of Darkness #5 and #6 at the same time as there is no break between collecting them.

Memory of Darkness #1

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from the first encounter of Ghosts of the Deep

The first Memory of Darkness collectible can be found before you begin the first encounter. When you spawn into the dungeon, look up the main path and slightly to the right -about one o’clock- and you’ll see some fallen trees clustered on the ground. If you approach that pile of trees, you can crouch and drop into a building. Once you drop in, look for some stairs leading down to a room. At the back of that room on the right side you’ll find the Memory of Darkness on the floor.

Memory of Darkness #2

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

The second Memory of Darkness can be found after the first encounter. Head through the doors and drop down once you reach the Drilling Platform. Once the path forward requires you to jump through a torn out screen, you’re close. Go through the screen, then find the collectible in a little room high on the left wall. You’ll need to use the small platforms sticking out of the wall to reach it.

Memory of Darkness #3

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

You’ll find a Memory of Darkness after you drop through the narrow gaps in the floor. Once you reach a triangular room with blue lighting and a rectangular hole in the floor, you’re close. Drop through the rectangular floor and you’ll be in a large hallway overgrown with weeds. Push forward, going up a small flight of stairs into the Hallowfathom, then jump up onto the left display to find the collectible.

Memory of Darkness #4

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

The next Memory of Darkness you’ll collect is shortly after your first combat sequence since the initial encounter. After you clear a room full of Hive, drop down through the hold in the floor and land on the platform. Look through the hole in the wall and you’ll see some rotating platforms. Hop onto the highest rotating platform and ride it around until you see the collectible stuck into the center pillar. Collect it and you’re onto the next.

Memory of Darkness #5

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

The fifth Memory of Darkness is found immediately after you jump into the water for the first time. Jump down, then look for a door that is cracked open just enough for you to squeeze through. Head through the door, keeping in mind there are limited air bubbles to share with your team, and snag the collectible from the ground.

Memory of Darkness #6

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

This Memory of Darkness can be found shortly after you first long descent through the water. Once you start falling through the water in the tube with windows, you’re close. If you just grabbed Memory of Darkness #5, you’ll still hear Xivu Arath speaking to you as you approach. After falling through the long tube, land on the platform, but don’t drop down again in the middle. Instead, fall off the left edge, float past the first catwalk, and instead land on the second catwalk way down. You will be pressed for time here. Once you land, the Memory of Darkness is at the end of the platform, but most likely behind you. If you’re curious if you’re close, there is a fan to bring you back out of the water just off the platform on the same level.

Memory of Darkness #7

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

The next Memory of Darkness is shortly after you enter the water for the second time. You’ll go through a door, fall through a tube, and crash into the water. You’ll continue to fall through the water. You’ll reach a platform underwater, then hop into another hole and continue your descent past more of those rotating platforms you’ve seen a few times now. When you finally land, you’ll still be underwater, but there should be a broken piece of glass that lets you walk outside the building. As you exit the building, don’t drop down. Walk around to the left and you’ll eventually find the collectible on the window ledge.

Memory of Darkness #8

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

You can find a Memory of Darkness shortly after the third time you enter the water. This time, you’ll be on what appears to be the ocean floor, with coral and fish swimming around you. Take note of a red light on the left, shining in the distance. Walk over to it and you’ll find a Memory of Darkness close by.

Memory of Darkness #9

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

This Memory of Darkness can be found during your third expedition through the water, after the small break in the area full of the Hive and the first secret chest. Once you defeat the Hive, hop back into the water and follow the path. Eventually you’ll be faced with a cliff edge you don’t want to jump off and exit from the water on your left. You want to go right. You’ll find this collectible tucked away in the corner next to an air bubble. If you exit the water and get rushed by Thrall, you’ve gone barely too far. It’s just back outside the way you came.

Memory of Darkness #10

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

Grab this next Memory of Darkness after you enter the Hive ship and receive a new objective to Explore the Wreckage. You will come to a large stairway with lots of Hive on it. Defeat them and move up the stairs. Keep moving through the ship until you slide through a tube and land on a platform. There will be a tube sticking out of the wall with water flowing out of it. The collectible you seek is just inside of there.

Memory of Darkness #11

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

The next Memory of Darkness can be found after the encounter against Ecthar, the Shield of Savathûn. Hope back into the water and push forward until you exit the water again. You’ll have to fight some Hive, including a Knight and some Cursed Thrall. When you clear the room, the collectible can be found at the end of the hallway, close to where you entered, just through the iron bars.

Memory of Darkness #12

An image showing a Memory of Darkness collectible from Ghosts of the Deep

The final Memory of Darkness cannot be obtained until you defeat Simmumah ur-Nokru, Lucent Necromancer. Once the boss is dead, you must go through the middle water section to the cave in the back. In there you’ll see a lens and a Hive symbol. Look through the lens to shatter the Hive symbol and reveal a secret cave. Head back inside to collect the final Memory of Darkness.

Once you’ve collected all 12 Memory of Darkness Triumphs, redeem the In Memoriam Triumph. From that point forward, any time you clear the dungeon, you’ll have a better shot at getting The Navigator Exotic Trace Rifle. Bungie releases statement after Monday's mass layoffs

Bill Lavoy posted a new article, All Memory of Darkness locations - Destiny 2

Hello, Meet Lola

All Memories of Darkness collectible locations in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon in Destiny 2

Xivû Arath's voice acting and dialogue alone might be worth doing this.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Players took down Oryx in the King’s Fall raid, but that’s not the last they’ll see of the Taken King if they delve into the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon. Like other Destiny 2 dungeons, it brings an overarching storyline enhanced by the several collectibles spread out over the area, from the entrance to the final boss. The Memories of Darkness give players more exposition in the form of an unlikely voice: Xivu Arath herself.

The Hive God of War, Xivu Arath, left behind some memories in the dungeon, which relate to the fall of her brother Oryx, the Taken King. It’s an unlikely yet compelling set of memories drenched in Hive mythology, alluding to the pact at Fundament and the Sword Logic.

The Memories of Darkness have a use greater than just lore, though: finding all of them allows you to claim the In Memoriam triumph, which permanently increases your chances of getting the Navigator Exotic trace rifle . Bungie hasn’t explicitly stated how much that triumph will boost your drop rate, though the May 4 This Week at Bungie blog post breaks down the values of specific raid triumphs, which can serve as a direction toward the exact values of the increase.

There are twelve collectibles scattered over the dungeon, and they range from the entrance area in the Arcology to the last room after taking down the dungeon’s final boss. Whether you’re chasing them down for the lore or for the story, here’s where to find all Memories of Darkness, based on our findings and on the brilliant compilation by content creator 360GameTV .

Where to find all Memories of Darkness for the In Memoriam triumph in Ghosts of the Deep

The Memories of Darkness are spread out over the dungeon. The lion’s share is scattered between the first and second encounters in the long underwater area that connects the Arcology to the derelict Hive wreckage. There is one collectible in the area with the first encounter, plus another after taking down Ecthar, Shield of Savathûn. The final one is after the end of the dungeon.

First collectible: in the entrance to Arcology

As soon as you spawn in, head to the small knoll before you. Look for a small entrance below the branches and head inside. Go through a red door to find this collectible on the other side of the room. Look for a small platform that lets you jump to a different exit.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Second collectible: after passing through the hole in the grate

Once you cross the hole in the grate, you’ll have to find a small hole in the wall on the right side of the room to continue your way through the dungeon. Instead, look for some platforms on the left side of the room and climb on them. Then, jump to another platform to your left (across from the entrance), turn around, and look to your right to spot an opening in the wall.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Third collectible: Drilling Platform, after going dropping from the ceiling

Continue through, and you will drop from the ceiling into an area with some vegetation. Continue until the area changes to Drilling Platform, and you’ll spot a few glowing blue tubes. Jump on top of them, then look for a ledge on the left (the one with a tree) to find another collectible.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Fourth collectible: Stuck on a wall after a long drop

Continue along the dungeon, and you’ll find an area with spawning Hive enemies, which will block your progress. Take them down to open up a hole leading to another, bigger drop with a floating platform just below you. Jump to the platform and look to the wall to spot this Memory of Darkness glued to the wall. You can grab it from the platform, so don’t worry about picking it up mid-air.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Fifth collectible: In a hidden room underwater

Continue along the way right after this collectible, and you’ll soon see a pool with six beam-like structures leading to the ocean below. Inside, you will find a room with a clearly marked door that drops down below and leads to the rest of the dungeon. Before you continue, look around for a half-open door below a red light. It’s not fully closed, so it’s large enough for your guardian to pass through—and you’ll even find some air bubbles on the other side in case you need them.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Sixth collectible: Underwater, by the first fan that pushes you up

Wade through another water section, and once you get to the end of it, you’ll find a high-powered fan that will propel you into the room above you. Instead of heading inside, look around for a walkway with an air bubble at the far end of it, and you’ll spot a collectible below it. The blue glow could be visible just below the bubble, though it may be hard to distinguish it from the deep blue of the ocean. If you need to pinpoint the exact location, head into the room and look for a door between a blue panel and a red light, which should indicate where the bubble will be (to the right of the door).

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Seventh collectible: In a walkway between two red lights, before “reach the wreckage”

Shortly after the sixth collectible, continue dropping down until you reach an area just above the seabed, with a large hatch and some coral-like formations illuminated by a couple of red lights (which should be on your right side when you drop in). Follow the path between the two lamps until you find a walkway with a window on it. This Memory of Darkness will be on the windowsill on your side of the glass.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Eighth collectible: On the seabed, to your left

Once the objective changes to “reach the wreckage,” you must drop down into the actual seabed. Hop through a hole in the ground, then look to your left to find an area with some corals and a lamp. You’ll find the collectible here, by some barnacles.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Ninth collectible: Before reaching the wreckage

Wade through the water until you can spot the wreckage of the Hive ship from afar. Keep going toward the remains of the ship, and you’ll come out on a hallway that faces the wreckage directly, with a bubble in front of you. Look for a coral on the right to spot an alcove, then find another collectible inside.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

10th collectible: Inside the wreckage, before the second encounter

Continue into the wreck until you find an area filled with holes in the walls. Go to the far end of the corridor and jump through the second hole closest to the wall, on the top part of the wall. From there, look to your right for the Hive equivalent of a sewer grate with water coming out of it, close to a small ledge. This Memory of Darkness is inside the hole.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

11th collectible: After the second encounter, past the sea monster

Take down Ecthar, Shield of Savathûn, and you’ll come out on the open sea with a gargantuan maritime creature in the distance. Follow the path until you drop into a small hallway leading to a small room with Hive enemies and a Blistering Knight. Clear the area, then look for a grate on the left side of the hallway (from where you came in).

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

12th collectible: After the final boss

The last Memory of Darkness requires you to kill Simmumah ur-Nokru and wrap up the dungeon. Once you do, the chest will spawn at Oryx’s heart. Take a left and head through the water, like you would for the encounter. There will be a small cave at the far end of the room, marked with some light by it and buried under some rocks. Look for an Oryx symbol in the room and shoot through the hole near it, which will clear the debris and let you take this final collectible home. The countdown will start once you finish Simmumah’s Ghost, but fortunately for guardians, the game gives you almost 10 minutes before booting you out.

Jump on the highest rotating platform in front of you and walk up the ramp. Let the platform rotate around the pillar and collect the Memory when the prompt shows up. The timing for this is more forgiving than you think.

The fourth fragment is going to be attached to a pillar with spinning platforms rotating around it. Jump up to the t op platform and hold your Interact button to claim the fourth Memory of Darkness!

frag4.jpg

The fifth Memory of Darkness fragment is going to be a bit further down after you've descended into the water. Once you make your way into the room underwater, there will be a door illuminated by orange lights that's open ever so slightly. Squeeze through the opening to collect the fifth fragment!

frag5.jpg

Make your way further down until you come across the first of the propellers that boost you into the first checkpoint rooms . Head past the fan and you'll come across the fragment on a catwalk just on the other side of the platform .

frag6.jpg

As you make your way down further, you'll eventually come across some broken glass. Continue along the wall to the left in this area to get to an opening highlighted by a red spotlight . head out and to the left to collect this fragment.

frag7.jpg

As you advance, you'll go down a long drop and make your way back into the water. After you drop down into the water, you'll see a spotlight glowing slightly behind where you land . Head toward that spotlight and the eighth fragment will be right beside it.

frag8.jpg

After making your way down toward the engine of the Hive ship at the edge of a cliff, take a sharp right turn instead of following the path to the left . Here, you'll find the fragment resting up on a piece of coral .

frag9.jpg

The tenth Memory of Darkness fragment will be in the Hive Ship just before you reach the second encounter. Make your way into the room with the tubes that spit you out on the catwalks . You'll see one that has its output pointing slightly downward and water pouring out of it . The fragment will be right inside of that tube.

frag10.jpg

The eleventh fragment can be found after the second encounter. After a bit more underwater traversal, you'll come across some stairs that want you to continue off to the right . Instead, check the black fence that has some water running in front of it for the second to last fragment.

Frag11.jpg

Your twelfth and final Memory of Darkness fragment is in the final boss arena where you skip around Oryx's corpse. After completing the encounter, head back into the cave where the Lucent Hive Acolyte is fought. Once there, you'll find the circle and Taken King symbols from the boss fight . Line them up as you do for the encounter and a new path will open next to where the Taken King symbol just was. Go inside to collect your last Memory of Darkness fragment!

frag12.jpg

There you have it! All 12 of the Memory of Darkness fragments are now yours! Be sure to collect the triumph so that your next run has a better chance of dropping the exotic Trace Rifle, The Navigator.

Destiny 2 ghost of the deep: all memory of darkness locations.

Xivu Arath sounds pretty upset!

Quick Links

Memory 1: spawn location, memory 2: first deep jump, memory 3: purple room, memory 4: rotating platforms, memory 5: first dive into the water, memory 6: dive deeper, memory 7: shards of glass, memory 8: "reach the wreckage" checkpoint, memory 9: source of light, memory 10: hive sewer, memory 11: defeat ecthar, memory 12: defeat the final boss.

If you are looking to get the Ghost of the Deep title in Destiny 2 and increase your chance of obtaining The Navigator Exotic Trace Rifle throughout the dungeon, you have to complete the "In Memoriam" Triumph, which requires you to collect a certain amount of recorded memories of Xivu Arath. Aside from claiming the Triumph, completing this objective is also important story-wise, as it reveals more information about Xivu Arath and her relationship with Oryx, who Guardians managed to kill in the King's Fall raid .

RELATED: Destiny 2: How To Get Glimmer Fast

Unlike dungeons such as Spire of the Watcher where you can get all the collectibles before the first encounter, Ghost of the Deep has two pieces of memories that are locked behind bosses. So, if you are planning to do it solo, you are going to have a hard time.

As soon as you spawn in the dungeon, go a few steps forward and look a bit to your right. You should be able to spot two cut trees fallen off. Beneath those trees there is a passage that leads into a secret room. Follow the instructions on the images below as there's a small passage on the left side of those trees leading to the entrance of the room.

Once you are inside the room, head towards a door with red lighting . Go downstairs and then move straight. On the right side of the half-wall in the middle, you will find a blue object on the ground. If you collect it, you can listen to the first Memory of Darkness.

There is only one Memory of Darkness in the initial area. For the rest of the memories, you need to finish the Ritual part and open the door, which requires you to collect four Vestige of Light and imbue them with four different statues. Once you head inside the facility, follow the path until you reach a circular room where you need to jump down.

As soon as you jump down to the metal platform and survive the rotating blades, look for a breached fence on the wall, which is your way to the next memory piece. Jump through the fence and land on the metal platform on the other side. Make your way to the far end of the platform, and there you will spot a bunch of red and white cubes on the wall. You need to jump over them to make your way through a big cracked window on the left side of this area at the top.

Once you are inside the room, there is another of those blue objects in front of the closest red fuze to the door on the right.

After collecting the second memory, head down and find the round tunnel on the wall, which will lead you to a series of fall-off jumps, at the end of which you will land in a room with a bunch of grown plants.

If you continue the way straight inside this room, you will enter a new room with purple lighting . Well, some might say it's pink, but anyway, it's quite distinct from the room you were in a few seconds earlier. There is a group of cylinder-shaped objects in the middle of this room. Jump on top of them, and then look to your left, where you can find a ledge with a few plants on it. Next to the plants, you can find the third memory.

RELATED: Destiny 2 Season Of The Deep: All New Perks, Ranked

This memory is easy to miss, which is why we strongly suggest you be patient and don't rush in . After you kill all the Hive enemies in the big room after the purple (or pink) room, there will be a hole in the ground. Jump inside the hole, and you will find yourself inside a cylinder with one way out. Don't exit the cylinder yet . Stand on the edge of the exit gate and look down, where you will see three different rotating platforms . You need to jump over the platform that is rotating on top of the others .

Now that you are on the platform, go to its front edge, which is the closest to the tall bar in the middle. The memory is actually located on that bar, and you need to wait for the platform to rotate until you see it. You can collect it while you are on the platform.

After collecting the fourth memory, just continue your way down until you reach a pool. This is the first time you are going to dive into the water.

As soon as you dive, you will land in a room with is a half-open door with red lighting . Behind that door, you will find the fifth memory on the ground.

Exit the red door and look forward, where you can see a breached glass wall with a lit lamp dropped on the edge of it. There is also a bubble next to that lamp in the air. That's your way out. Jump off and look down instantly; now you should look for the third metal platform to land on.

The first metal platform is just beneath the point you jump off, which you may not be able to see if you don't look down fast, the second one is a bit further, and the third one is beneath it. Keep in mind that there is also one more platform beneath the third metal area, but you need to land on the third one, which we have marked in the images above.

As soon as you land, you can spot a big fan in the middle of the platform. Pass by the fan and head to the left. Go upstairs and turn left again. Continue following the path to the edge of the metal platform, where you can collect the next Memory of Darkness.

Head to the fan in the middle after collecting the sixth memory, and you will be lifted to a new room. There is a white door that will lead you inside another cylinder, but this one is inside the water. Get out of the cylinder and dive deeper using the gap between the middle bar and the hole. Continue to fall off until you see a big round closed gate on the ground. Here, you will see a bunch of pillars, but only one of them has a lit red lamp on it.

Next to this pillar, you will find some shards of glass on the ground. Follow these shards to the edge of the platform but do not jump off . Turn left and follow the ledge. At the first corner, you will find a bubble to breathe. Now, continue ahead toward the second corner, but before your reach it, you will find the next memory on the ground.

Use the same path to return to the location where you found shards of glass, but before you reach it, you will find one of those relatively big circular plants grown next to the ledge, use it to jump off and land on the metal platform below. Go to the middle of the platform and use the fan to go up inside a new room .

Go through the white door and jump inside the cylinder. Now, you are in a new room with a pool of water in the middle. As soon as you jump into the water, a checkpoint will appear on your screen saying "Reach The Wreckage." Once you land, there are two different paths — one is a path with a series of round gates on the side, but you can't see the end of the path.

On the opposite side, however, you will see another series of those gates, but the far end of this path is actually visible and there is a lit lamp at the end. Head towards the lamp and collect the next memory, which is in front of the lamp. You will need to head back to continue the dungeon afterward.

RELATED: Destiny 2: Every Season Of The Deep Weapon, Ranked

After facing the first group of Hive enemies inside the water, you will find another watery gate at the end of the room. After diving inside the water again, you will see a bubble in front of you, eat it and jump off to the next bubble. Then jump forward once more. Now, you should see another bubble in front of you, and in the background, there is a giant source of light.

Eat the bubble and then turn right. At the end of the path, you will find another Memory of Darkness. In order to continue the mission, follow the opposite path.

This one is located in the Hive tunnels that you get into after exiting the ocean. The moment when you slip inside a Hive tunnel and then find yourself in a room with multiple tunnels on the wall is when you need to stop rushing. Once you are in this room, go to the end with a blocked gate . Look at the top row of tunnels and start counting them. You need to get inside the 4th tunnel .

This will lead you to a bridge on the other side. If you look right, you will spot a sewer pipe with water coming out of it. You will find the next memory inside that sewer. So, jump on top of the sewer on your left, and then jump inside the target sewer to collect the memory piece.

For this one, you need to kill the first boss in the dungeon: Ecthar. After killing the boss, follow the path toward the final encounter. On your way, you will reach another of those Hive tunnels where you'll actually encounter a bunch of enemies waiting for you.

There is a blocked gate on the left side when entering this tunnel. The memory is located behind that gate.

This one will only appear after killing the final boss. When the loot chest appears inside the heart of Oryx, get your loot. Now, look at the chest and then a bit left. Follow the path to reach the first watery gate. Dive inside the water and then exit from the other side. This place used to be the home of one of the Rune Symbol holders — Knight, Acolyte, or Wizard — during the fight. However, it now hosts one of those Hive icons that you need to look at it through a green circle. This could be a bit annoying as the location of the green circle makes it tough to align with the Hive icon. But if you jump over the plant next to the waterfall, you can make it.

When you align your line of sight with the Hive icon, it will disappear. Now move straight in the same direction that the Hive icon was located, and at the end of the road, you will find a small passage that requires you to crouch to pass through.

Go to the other side of this tunnel, and you will find the final memory piece inside a small cave .

This new dungeon has a total of four new legendary weapons, a new exotic sparrow, two emblems (one for normal completion and one for solo flawless), and Lucent Hive-themed armor sets for each class, which is one of the best-looking armor sets Bungie has released in the game.

Now, let’s get started with the memory fragments.

Ghosts of the Deep – Memory of Darkness #1

The first memory is located in the very first encounter . Proceed ahead from your spawning point until you come across a cluster of trees with scattered branches. Jump off those trees, and you’ll reach a secret room where you’ll find this fragment at the end.

Destiny 2: Ghosts of the Deep Dungeon Memory of Darkness Locations

Increase that exotic drop chance

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Destiny 2’s latest Dungeon, Ghost of the Deep, contains twelve hidden collectables that each provide insight into the lore of the Dungeon. Collecting all of them will also provide a nice boost to the drop chance of the Dungeon-specific exotic; the Strand Trace Rifle The Navigator. Some of these memories can be tricky to track down, so here is how to pick up each Memory of Darkness in Ghosts of the Deep.

Destiny 2: Every Memory of Darkness in Ghosts of the Deep

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

When you arrive in the dungeon, you are almost on top of the first Memory. Ahead of you is a path, and to the right is a large collection of fallen trees. Pick your way through them and you will drop into an underground structure.

From there, head through the red doorway. At the end of the hall is a pair of benches, and the first Memory is on the right-hand side.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

After you have cleared the first encounter, you will continue through the halls of the Arcology until eventually reaching a large drop. Head down and jump through the gap in the grating. Instead of taking the intended path through a tube to the right, go to the far end of the chasm and jump up to a room on the left. Here you will find the second Memory.

Related: How to Disrupt the Ritual in Destiny 2 Ghosts of the Deep

The third Memory is not far from the second. Drop down and continue until you reach a purple room. Hop onto the central pillars and up to a ledge on the left. The memory will be found near some plants.

The fourth memory is at the beginning of the Dive section. Once you take out a group of Hive you will drop down a large hole. When you land you will be at the edge of the next drop, but before you head further, look ahead and leap to the rotating platform. The platform will bring you to the back of the central column where you can easily pick up the fourth memory.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

As you continue through the dive section you will splash into the first section of water. The intended exit is a large door with a bright light, but if you look around you will find a second door that is only partially open, illuminated by a red light. Head in here to find the fifth memory. Be aware that you are under a time limit while underwater. Make sure to pick up bubbles to reset your Pressure Resistance meter.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Descend down the Dive area until you reach the first fan that pushes you out of the water. Before heading up, head to an exterior catwalk. The memory should be on the left side. If you can’t find it, check a different catwalk.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

Eventually, you will reach an area where you will have to jump out of a cracked window with a red light. You will need to stay on the lip on the outside of the window and follow the path to the left. Be careful because bubbles are limited around the outside, but you will eventually reach the Memory.

Once you finally break through to the sea floor you will receive the updated objective Reach The Wreckage. At this point, turn back from the intended path and look behind you. There will be a small cave with a light in it. Head in there to collect the eighth memory.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

After you have fought a large group of Hive, you will head back into some water. Ahead of you, there will be a bright light from a Hive ship and a bubble at the edge of a cliff. Collect the bubble snf then turn right. Around the corner, you will find the ninth fragment.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

You’ll know you are in the right area for the tenth memory when you reach a room with holes along the left side. Hop into the hole that is second from the right across the top and you’ll drop onto a bridge.

To your right, you will see a large drain with water pouring out of it. Jump into the drain to find the tenth fragment.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

After defeating Ecthar, you will pass through some water and drop down a hole. At the end of a hallway, you will fight several Hive in a room. Near where you entered the room metal bars are blocking a path. Between the bars, you can find the eleventh Memory.

ghosts of the deep all memory locations

The final Memory can be found after defeating the final boss and completing the dungeon. During the mission end countdown, make your way back into the room where the Lightbearer Acolyte was during the encounter.

Here you will see a hive symbol with a green ring. Line the ring up with the symbol to unlock a secret path. If you are having trouble aligning the symbols, try standing near the large blue plant at the back of the room.

Once the path is open head, to the end of the passageway until you find a waterfall and some red plants. In a small nook to the right of the plants, you will find the final memory.

And that is all of the Memory fragments in Ghosts of the Deep. Now you should have some interesting backstory for the dungeon, and a nice boost to your chances at getting the exclusive exotic, The Navigator.

While you are out collecting these Memories, you might as well pick up some extra loot too! Have a look at our guide on where to find the secret chests in Ghosts of the Deep .
