Phantom in the Twilight Season 2: Premiere Date, Characters, Plot

Phantom in the Twilight (also known as Fantomu in za Towairaito in Japanese) is an original action anime television series. Prior to the release of the show, a manga adaptation written and illustrated by Haruta Mayuzumi began serialization in the LINE Manga app on March 25, 2018 and new chapters are being published to this day. Just months after the release of the manga series, Season 1 of the anime television series, produced by game developer Happy Elements and famed animation studio Liden Films, was released on July 10, 2018.
Although it was not very highly rated show, it still managed to get decent ratings and create its own fanbase. With Season 1 now over, fans are eagerly waiting to hear news on a second season and here’s everything we know about the prospects of Season 2 thus far.
Phantom in the Twilight Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?
Phantom in the Twilight season 1, consisting of 12 episodes, premiered on July 10, 2018 and ran till September 25 of the same year. In spite of the show’s moderate success, a second season has not been announced yet and it remains to be seen whether a second season will be made.
That being said, there’s no reason to get worried just yet if you’re looking forward to a new season of Phantom in the Twilight. Anime shows sometimes take years to renew and hence, there’s plenty of time left for a second season to be announced. Further, since new chapters of the manga adaptation are still being published, there’s new content being created on a regular basis.
Given this fact, we think that Phantom in the Twilight has a pretty decent chance of being renewed for a second season. However, the anime industry is an unpredictable one and it is impossible to say for certain what fate awaits the show till Happy Elements or Lide Films makes an official announcement on its future. We’re keeping our ears open for news on Phantom in the Twilight season 2 release date and we’ll update this section as soon as we hear something reliable.
Phantom in the Twilight English Dub:
For those who like watching anime shows in English, the bad news is that Phantom in the Twilight does not have an English dub yet. However, this does not rule out the chances of an English dub being made in the future, especially if the show becomes popular among Western audiences. For now, if you want to watch the show, you have to watch the original Japanese version. You can find the same with English subtitles on Crunchyroll . For those who speak Russian, there is also a Russian dub available on Crunchyroll.

Phantom in the Twilight Plot:
Phantom in the Twilight is set in modern day London, and as the name of the show suggests, it has supernatural elements.
The show takes place in a world where “Shadows” are born from human fear and anxiety and exist in a plane separate from humans. In this backdrop, the show follows a human girl named Baileu Ton who arrives in London with a friend to attend college. However, prior to starting college, Baileu is caught in a bizarre accident. With no acquaintances in this new city, she then wanders into the mysterious Cafe Forbidden, which only opens at midnight. At the cafe, Baileu an assortment of handsome, seemingly human men, and learns that it is a place where the guardians who protect the boundary between the human world and the world of the Shadows convene. From here on out, the show follows Baileu’s adventures with her newfound friends.
Phantom in the Twilight Characters:
Although Phantom in the Twilight does not have a long list of characters, there are a few main characters in the show. Below, we’ve provided you with brief backgrounds on each of them.
[WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD]
Baileu Ton: The main protagonist of the show, Baileu is an 18-year-old human girl who moves to London with a friend to attend university. Distinguishable for the moon-shaped pin she wears on her hair, Baileu is a strong-willed young woman who believes that everyone should be responsible for how their decisions affect others. She is also shown to be an extremely loyal and caring friend and will do anything to keep her friends from harm, even if it costs her own life. Later in the show, it is revealed that Baileu is the great granddaughter of Sha Rijan, who was the former owner of Cafe Forbidden. In fact, Baileu wears a magical ring on her right hand, passed down from Sha Rijan, and she also possesses magical abilities. However, if she uses too much magic at one go, her hair turns red and she has to rest before she can use her abilities again.
Vlad Garfunkel: Another main character in the show, Vlad is a vampire who, in the show, is the subject of Bram Stoker’s immortal book, Dracula . Being the mythical Dracula, Vlad is immortal and has lived for an eternity. Over the course of his life, Vlad came to know Sha Rijan and fell in love with her. After Sha Rijan’s death, Vlad kept blaming himself for her suffering. However, Vlad lightens up as the show goes on and after he meets Baileu. Owing to the fact that Baileu closely resembles Sha Rijan, he also falls in love with her. As far as Vlad’s personality is concerned, he appears to be a hard-to-approach and aloof person, but is actually a very warm and caring vampire.
Luke Bowen: Also a main character in the show, Luke is a werewolf who works as a chef at Cafe Forbidden. Having a love for food, Luke really enjoys his work. As far as Luke’s personality is concerned, he is shown to be a happy and cheerful person who takes a lot of pride in his work and cares a lot for his friends. He is also fond of teasing Baileu and annoying Vlad. However, Luke has a dark past which he rarely talks about.

The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Episode 3: Will the Blood Queen be Revived?
By Ishika Mishra
The second season of The Eminence in Shadow has been officially set to drop 12 episodes, deciphering Cid Kagenou’s Shadow Garden, as he ventures out to confront the diabolical Cult of Diablos.
After the first season concluded with a combat between Shadow and Beatrix, Season 2 began with Cid’s journey with Claire to Lawless City, where Cid is preoccupied by the events leading to the Red Moon. Premiered on October 11, 2023, Episode 2 witnesses a brutal encounter between Juggernaut, Mary, and Claire. We see Mary and Claire almost accepting defeat until Shadow rescues them.
Check out the official trailer of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2:
The Eminence in Shadow: Mundane Mann and his awaiting fate
In the second episode, the audience observes Shadow’s reiteration of the sight of the Red Moon and the scarcity of time in hand. While Claire reveals her history of being possessed by a demon to Mary, Cid loots the gold coins in the tower’s treasury to support his adventures as Shadow. Anxiety builds up as Crimson’s ritual to resurrect the Blood Queen begins, but he is abruptly intervened by Mundane Mann aka Cid, using an atomic strike.
In the episode, Mary reveals the story behind Elisabeth’s historical rampage. The Blood Queen had actually decided to co-exist peacefully with humans but was tricked by Crimson into destroying Haven. After a sequence of events, Mary was requested by Elisabeth to make sure her revival was impossible, but all Mary did was take a vow to protect Elisabeth’s remains till the end of time.

Will Elisabeth, the Vampire Queen, be revived? Will Cid complete the ritual himself? Or, will something completely unpredictable be witnessed? It is only a matter of time before the viewers finally know how the cliffhanger unfolds. However, as the plot develops, judging by the reviews so far, comedy and action are anticipated to be served.

The eminence in shadow season 2 episode 1 review: a grand return for one of anime's best isekai.
The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 premiere shows the anime is just as fun as it was in Season 1, exposing Cid to a fun new genre for him to play with.
- The first episode of The Eminence in Shadow season 2 continues the show's hilarious and absurd approach to the isekai genre, making it one of the funniest isekai anime.
- The episode sets up the setting and characters for the upcoming arc while leaning into its tropes, allowing viewers to quickly understand each character's shtick.
- Fans of the first season will find the episode a worthy follow-up with strong animation and the same level of schlocky fun that made the series great.
The second season of The Eminence in Shadow has officially begun and episode #1 is a great reminder of what made the first season so great. The isekai fantasy made a big impression on the anime community when it first aired due to its revelatory approach to dealing with what many view as a trashy genre. Instead of shying away from the guilty pleasures of the genre, The Eminence in Shadow gleefully elevated them to an absurd degree making it one of the funniest isekai anime .
Episode #1 of season 2 has masterfully continued this trend while setting up the setting and characters of the arc to come. While this massive exposition dump could have been boring in any other show, The Eminence in Shadow leans so far into its tropes that almost upon first glance viewers can get an idea of each new character's shtick. In the episode, Cid and his sister Claire travel to the Lawless City where a blood-red moon empowers a horde of undead ghouls to attack the populace. Cid relishes the chance to act cool in this situation, hilariously imitating a vampire hunter Mary, and entangling himself in a fight between two rulers of the city at the end of the episode.
The Eminence in Shadow Begins Season 2 With a Blast of an Episode
This is a perfect reminder of what made Cid such a fun protagonist in season 1. While the Shadow Garden organization he has built may understand how real threats like the Cult of Diabolos are, Cid views everything in his world as an opportunity to live out his childish power fantasies. The relationship between Cid and Shadow Garden is one of the best parts of the series and luckily the first episode included a great moment with them interacting. However, it seems like Shadow Garden's involvement in this upcoming arc will be minimal as it focuses more on Cid, his sister, and the mysterious new characters who have been introduced.
The most reassuring sign about Season 2 Episode #1 is that the show feels like it never stopped after the first season. On a production level, the animation is just as good as it was in Season 1 if not better. Even if this sort of storyline may not be as exciting for most fans of the show as a more typical isekai plot would be, the characters, humor, and action still feel incredibly similar to the initial arcs of the anime which makes this follow-up worth watching regardless. The one downside to this is that the rampant fan service in The Eminence in Shadow 's first season is also present, which may turn away some viewers even as it tantalizes others.
Fans of Season 1 Need to Watch The Eminence in Shadow Season 2
Fans of the first season of The Eminence in Shadow will find episode #1 of Season 2 a worthy follow-up and a hopeful sign of things to come. If the rest of the season maintains this level of quality, season 2 maybe even better than the first one. Even if it doesn't surpass the first season, episode #1 of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 shows that the show will still deliver the schlocky fun that made the series one of the best isekai anime .
The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Episode #1 is available to stream on HIDIVE.

Invincible Season 2 Trailer Sees Mark Face Life After Omni-Man

Amazon Prime Video has published an Invincible Season 2 trailer that sets up the next chapter of its title character’s superhero life. The two-minute trailer premiered this weekend as part of New York Comic-Con (NYCC) 2023.
As you might have guessed, Invincible season 2 will see Steven Yeun’s Mark Grayson saving the world while dealing with the fallout of Season 1’s finale. However, Omni-Man is nowhere to be seen in today’s trailer, as Mark is left on his own to keep the world safe from friends and foes alike. Some returning faces include Zazie Beetz’ Amber Bennett, Seth Rogan’s Allen the Alien, and Sandra Oh’s Debbie Grayson, but there are a handful of new faces to meet, too.

Invincible has already established itself as a star-studded animated series, and Season 2 will make sure that doesn’t change. In July, as part of San Diego Comic-Con, Amazon published another trailer that gave fans a more ambiguous look at the story to come. It also featured a long list of some of the actors that will appear in the upcoming season, including the likes of Chloe Bennet ( Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ), Ben Schwartz ( Sonic the Hedgehog ), Rhea Seehorn ( Better Call Saul ), Tim Robinson ( I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson ), Josh Keaton ( The Spectacular Spider-Man ), and Daveed Diggs ( Hamilton ). Of course, this same trailer also confirmed that J.K. Simmons will also be back to voice Omni-Man. For a better look at the show before more episodes start to drop in a few weeks, you can watch the Invincible Season 2 trailer below.
Invincible Season 2 will arrive around two-and-a-half years after Season 1. You can watch how the story will continue when it comes to Amazon Prime Video on November 3, 2023.

Their greatest work can be seen in the form of everyone’s favorite anime movie Koe no Katachi, the godlike animation Violet Evergarden, and one of the saddest romance anime Clannad .

The first season of the anime series Myriad Colors Phantom World had started to broadcast regularly on January 7, 2016, and ran for 13 episodes before finally concluding on March 31 of the same year. It was followed by a special episode by the name of Musaigen no Phantom World: Mizutama no Kiseki that was aired on October 5, 2016. Many of the fans who have watched the first season immediately want a second season to see the continuation of it. So, will there be Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2 to answer the demands from the fans?
Although we have no valid information regarding the whereabouts of Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2, it is safe to say that a second season is not feasible by all means.
The main reason is that Kyoto Animation only adapts the first volume of the light novel into a 12 episode anime, and you can already tell that they had to put a lot of fillers in order to make it work. The anime series has missed several major twists from the source which could have been a perfect setup for a second season. That said, it would be hard for Kyoto Animation to adapt the rest of the volumes and make a season renewal, given that the anime series contains a lot of original anime content.
Also, the anime was not well received by the community and didn’t sell that well in Japan. In fact, it has one of the worst scores (6.87 in MyAnimeList ) that Kyoto Animation had got for an anime adaptation.
Myriad Colors Phantom World Has a Spin-Off

The anime series Myriad Colors Phantom World also comes with a total of seven spin-off episodes entitled Musaigen no Phantom World: Limitless Phantom World. It is a picture drama special that is bundled with the main series’ Blu-ray/DVD volumes. Each of the episodes is only 6 minutes in length and it has comedy aspects while still retaining the characters from the main series.
Myriad Colors Phantom World Action
Phantoms: supernatural entities such as ghosts or youkai that, until recently, were thought to be superstition. However, when a virus that infects the brain spreads throughout society, people’s perception of the world changes as the mythical beings are revealed to have been living alongside humanity the entire time. This virus has also affected those of the next generation significantly, allowing them to develop special abilities that they can use to fight against dangerous phantoms.
Haruhiko Ichijou and Mai Kawakami are two of those that were granted such power as Haruhiko wields the ability to summon and seal phantoms through drawings while Mai imbues the power of the elements into martial arts. Together, along with the friendly phantom Ruru, they form Team E of Hosea Academy which is dedicated to dealing with these often mischievous beings. In a world where the real and surreal intertwine, Musaigen no Phantom World follows the adventures of a group of friends as they handle the everyday troubles caused by phantoms.

Kyoto Animation’s fantasy anime shook the industry back in 2016. It was one of the most talked-about adaptations due to the popularity of its source material. Despite getting low critic ratings, the series has a massive fan-following waiting for Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2. Will it ever release? What’s in the future of the anime? Here’s everything you need to know.
Myriad Colors Phantom World, also known as Musaigen no Phantom World, was initially an acclaimed light novel series written by Sōichirō Hatano and illustrated by Shirabi. The first volume came out in December 2013, while the second one took two years to launch in 2015. A third novel was released in February 2016. In the same year, Kyoto Animation picked up its anime adaptation with the same title. The television series aired between January and March 2016, while an OVA episode was released in only DVD/BD form in October.

Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2: Renewal Updates
As of now, Kyoto Animation or any of the anime’s producers have not confirmed the second season. The studio has continued to ignore demands from fans in the last four years. However, they haven’t canceled the series either. Hence, there’s still hope for Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2.
Yet, chances for the anime’s renewal are still relatively meager. One of the main reasons behind the same lies in the source material. No new volumes of Musaigen no Phantom World light novel series have been released since 2016. Well, anime adaptations are usually dependent on the existence of their source material because they act as an advertisement. Hence, unless there are more LN volumes planning to release, the anime sequel will not have any content to promote. As of now, we can only wait for writer Sōichirō Hatano to write another Phantom World novel.
Is There Enough Source Material For A New Season?
The Musaigen no Phantom World LN series has a total of three volumes. However, Kyoto Animation only used the first novel in the anime adaptation. Hence, the studio still has three books to cover in the upcoming season. In fact, the amount of source material left will be enough to produce a third installment as well.

When Will Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2 Release?
As of now, none of the producers of the anime, including Kyoto Animation, have greenlit Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2. Hence, it’s currently difficult to predict a release date. Well, since the renewal depends upon the launch of another light novel volume, fans might have to wait longer than expected. Thus, the new episodes might not premiere anytime sooner than late 2021 or early 2022. We will update this section once the official date is announced.
