“Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good is better and your better is best” – Tim Duncan

The Holy Spirit Athletic program is a great opportunity for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students to have fun, learn teamwork and challenge their athletic abilities. It is our goal that through participation that we will prepare our students for a lifetime of service to others.
Our program focuses on building and developing teamwork, strength of character and a commitment to excellence. Student athletes are expected to place academic commitment above athletic participation, and must maintain passing grades in all subjects to be eligible to play. Grades are checked at mid-nine weeks and the end of a grading quarter. Athletes are expected to attend all practices and athletic contests for their sport throughout the season. A student who is absent from school or considered absent is not eligible to participate in either practice or a game on the day of the day of the absence.

Every athlete is expected to represent the school with pride and follow our rules of conduct as they compete. A physical examination form must be completed and approved by your doctor before any student can participate in any sport activity.
The following sports are offered:
- Cross Country/Track

The Athletic Committee will attempt to cover expenses not covered by fees.
ALL sports fees must be submitted and paid at the time of signing up. NO player will be allowed to participate in practice/and or games until the sports fee is paid. A hardship fee wavier can be requested through the Athletic Director.
CSAA requires ALL athletes attend Holy Spirit School or be an active participating member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Student athletes who do not attend Holy Spirit School must be actively participating in the mandated religious education program at the parish.

At Holy Spirit Preparatory School, we consider sports to be an integral part of the school’s mission. Sports allow for the integral formation of body and soul, developing character and virtue and building athletic and intellectual prowess. Students are taught the value of cooperation, sacrifice, and sportsmanship and are provided with opportunities to cultivate and exercise leadership skills. HSP has partnered with Play Like a Champion to aid in this mission for our coaches and families.
We currently offer opportunities for our students to participate in numerous varsity, junior varsity, Middle School, and Lower School sports. Athletes can play on more than one team at Holy Spirit Preparatory School; a year-round commitment to one sport is not required.

Erik Richmond
Coordinator of student activities, athletic accomplishments.
