Take to the waters of Mission Bay in one of our powerboats. If you are looking for an exciting or a leisurely cruise, Actions Sport Rentals has the boat for you. Renter and operators must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. No previous boating experience necessary. Operational instructions are provided at time rental.

The 21’ Duffy is perfect for a relaxing cruise through Mission Bay. This electric vessel offers a spacious layout with a wrap-around bench and center table.

Waverunners

Experience an exciting thrill on the waters of Mission Bay in one of our sit-down types of personal watercraft. Drivers must be at least 21 years old. Passengers must be at least 36″ tall.

Our funcats are a super relaxing way to hang out and enjoy the sunshine and the water. It’s been dubbed a ‘floating lounge chair’. These electric powered catamarans include a bimini for shade and cup holders for your favorite drinks.

Paddleboards

Stand up Paddleboards (or SUP’s) are a great way to experience the waters of Mission Bay and get in some exercise.

Breeze around Mission Bay in our kayaks. They’re easy to maneuver, hard to flip over, and simple to paddle. Get a little workout in and see Shelter Island from a different perspective.

Beach Cruisers are really simple bikes that get you around with ease. Go check out all the sights and shop around Mission Bay. Our rentals include helmets.

Surreys are a lot of fun for kids and you’ll definitely get in some exercise. They’re great for cruising around the bike paths that run along the bay with your whole family. Surreys can hold anywhere from 2 – 4 people pedaling with seating for babies and toddlers in the front.

Take a leisurely sail around Mission Bay in one of our sloops, ranging from 14 to 22 feet in length. Lessons & skippers are available for the less experienced.

I booked my rental online on June 24th for Sunday, June 27th for 2 hours on the Duffy. Summer time in SD, It was hard to find that day open at other boat rentals and the price at Action Sport Rental was cheaper than all the other ones in the area. Upon arrival, we had no problem finding free parking at the Kona Kai Resort & Marina. We arrived an hour before our 4:00 rental to have some drinks at the resorts restaurant. Action Sport Rental was great. It was fast and easy to make the reservations and go through arrival paperwork. New to driving a Duffy, Staff member Tony went over the process clearly and precise. Great staff! Friendly and accommodating. We were able to bring our own food and drinks (no glass) aboard. It was a relaxing drive with the Duffy around the Shelter Island Basin. I would rent here again. 10/10 experience

Duffy: Can sit up to 10 passengers. It was perfect for our picnic on the water.

Near the location of Kona Kai is super convenient! Checking in was smooth and they had plenty of availability on a busy three day weekend. Tony helped us launch and also upon return. He was super helpful and patient with us especially as being a beginner

Great location! Tony was super nice and helpful! We rented a Duffy, I had never been in one before but I thought it would be a nice way to spend some time on the water with wine and cheese for a gfs bday. The Duffy was honestly pretty slow but it served it's purpose and we had a great time. I would definitely rent from here again. We did drinks and spent some time at Kona Kai before and after our rental. It's a beautiful location! My family was all born and raised in Point Loma, and the views from here did not disappoint.

This rental company was great to work with, especially with Reeve, my main point of contact. We had two adults, one child and one dog on our Funcat rental and it was perfect! The Funcat was such a unique and relaxing way to enjoy the bay and the afternoon views. I'd highly recommend this rental location and can't wait to return! Additionally, their rental office also sells alcohol to go AND ice cream bars... a win/win for any parent!

We went to the water sports office to reserve the Fun Boat. The young man was very friendly and demonstrated great professionalism and interpersonal communication. The only downside was that there were 2 Fun Boats and one was out of service. The Fun Boat that was in great shape was down. The other one had a very torn and tattered canvas seat which obviously needed to be replaced a long time ago. The guy suggested that most people bring towels from the pool to sit on. I am not happy about that because 1) There are obvious large signs all over the pool area stating that towels must not be removed from the pool areas. and 2) If your equipment is so shoddy, YOU should be providing towels, not telling me to get towels after we arrive at the boat and are ready to go. If anything, a substantial discount should be applied because I had to lay out my shirt and hat under our legs so we didn't get scraped by the tattered plastic canvas. Also, the blue canvas boat had issues with the right motor and sometimes it would not power on properly - had to go into reverse then forward again. As for the boat itself, it provides a relaxing stroll along the docks to peruse the different yachts. However, I suggest no more than about an hour because you have to hold down the switches continuously for the boat to move and it does take a toll on the fingers (there's no lock to hold the buttons down by themselves.) Overall, not impressed with our first visit, but there are few options in the area so we'll probably try the jet skis or Hurricane next time. If the white canvas Fun Boat is available, try that for an hour.

Thanks so much for such a great experience! Easy to rent, reasonable prices and so much to see. Ideal location, beautiful marina and wildlife. We saw a seal that came up and swam next to our paddleboard ! Clear waters, we saw countless small stingrays and horseshoe crabs. Shout out to Will, professional and friendly.

Came to San Diego bay and rented the rinker. It was so much fun the young gentlemen named Kevin helped me pick the perfect boat for my family and was very helpful definitely recommend this place to anybody visiting San Diego.

The kayak itself was great and I had a fun time paddling around the bay. However, I will never, ever, ever rent from Action Sport Rentals again, and this is why: Everything about the experience of renting the boat at the Kona Kai location today was terrible. I arrived at the rental office mid-morning. I did not have a reservation, but have walked past the location several times in the past and seen the door open and assumed it would not be a hassle to do a "drop-in" rental. Got there at about 10:45 am, the door was locked. Sign on the door said "down at the dock, call this number...", called the number and got an answering machine. Waited about 10 minutes, nobody showed up. Went to the hotel gym (right next door), they directed me to the hotel reception. The hotel reception explained that the rentals are done via a 3rd party, but offered to get in touch with the company.and they took my number to call me once they had more information. I waited a bit, but was kinda frustrated. I decided to leave, but since the rental office was on my way out, I thought I would try one more time. Success! The door was open. I explained to the clerk that I wanted to rent a single for two hours, he gave me the paperwork, and when I tried to hand him cash, he told me that his lockbox was locked and he didn't have change. I said no problem and handed him a credit card. In the middle of processing my transaction, another customer comes in to buy beer. The other customer PAYS WITH CASH and got CHANGE IN CASH from the clerk, right after the clerk tells me he doesn't have change. I kinda shrug it off, because I just wanted to get on to the water. The clerk directs me (after I have to ask) to the dock and says he will be right behind me to get the kayak out. I walk to the dock gate (about 3 minutes away) and wait, and wait, and wait. It's now about 11:30. Eventually the clerk shows up, gets out my kayak and gets me set-up. The last thing I do is confirm with him that I will be back between 1:30 and 2 because, even though I said I only wanted the kayak for 2 hours, he kept offering to let me keep it for 3 hours since his boss got the call that I was trying to rent and the office was locked. I go, kayak, have a pleasant time, and am back at the dock promptly at 1:30. No clerk in sight. I need the clerk to help because of the way the dock is situated, you have to haul yourself up on to the dock (no stairs/ladder) from the kayak, which is parallel with the bottom of the dock. I wait for about 20 minutes, but finally springboard myself out of the kayak and on to the dock. I call the rental office multiple times, because I don't want to just leave the kayak there without checking it in, but nobody answers. I finally find a number for the main office, navigate the phone tree to get an operator, and explain my situation. The operator tells me to wait for the clerk, but I explain that I have been waiting and that the kayak is tied up. She says it was ok to leave it there and that the clerk would come by. So I leave it. As I walk back up towards the rental office, I tried one more time to go in. Door is again locked and sign on the door says "down at the dock...". Just a really incredibly frustrating day.

You say party! We say deck! Have a blast with your friends & family on our Party Deck Charter! It can accommodate up to 21 passengers and is a great option for birthday parties, bachelorette parties, family get-togethers, and more. With a US Coast Guard licensed Captain included, you don’t have to worry about anything except having fun!

What to bring

• Sunscreen, Water Bottle (No glass please)
• Food and Drink is 100% allowed and encouraged while onboard. (No glass please)

• Camera or something to document your amazing time on the water with. (Don’t forget to tag/mention us on social media)

For the safety of everyone, No glass items are allowed on Action Sports Rental Vessels. If you would like you and/or people in your party may bring their own Life Jacket(s)(Must be Coast Guard Compliant, If not we will bring ours) and/or Wetsuit. All personnel onboard must follow the Captain’s Rules as well Coast Guard Regulations. The Captain of the vessel reserves the right to terminate a charter for any reason at any given time. Pocono Action Sports offers a variety of boats available for rent 7 days a week on Lake Wallenpaupack at the Lighthouse Harbor Marina! We currently have pontoon boats , pontoon slide boats,  runabout boats , and fishing boats of varying sizes for rent. New! For the 2024 Boating Season, we now offer Tiki Boat Charters and J et Boat Car Rentals ! Spending some summer vacation days on the beautiful lake just became a lot easier and within your reach! With different levels of boats ranging from economy to premium, we have a boat to fit everyone’s budget. We spend the off season upgrading our current fleet and purchasing new boats to upgrade the standard we rent to our customers. We offer half-day, full-day and multi-day rentals. In addition to boat rentals, we also offer kayak and paddle board rentals. Looking for more action?
