The Cruising Yacht Club of WA is a great place to visit, a great place to eat, and a great place to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink while watching the magical sunset behind the plethora of yachts on Cockburn Sound. Open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday 12pm – 8pm, and open for lunch on Sunday 12pm – 3pm. (General public welcome, conditions apply). See our website for all upcoming events. The Cruising Yacht Club of WA exceed our expectations for the wedding reception. I was a bit nervous about the food as I heard mixed reviews, but the food was outstanding. We had a buffet. All our guest at our wedding raved about how good the food was & some of our friends are chefs. I can’t wait to have many more events here. With all the fairy lights the place really does come alive. The thing I didn’t like is we had to pay a fee to set up the day before in the space. Which I personally think it was a bit harsh to make someone pay that fee to set up the day before if the room is empty/ not being used. The staff who worked at our wedding reception where so friendly & lovely. We wanted to be friends with them all. Thanks for making our day so special. - Hayley McDonald

The Cruising Yacht Club of WA Inc. is a private club for the use and enjoyment by its members and guests. Situated south of Perth on the shore of Cockburn Sound, the club enjoys a mild climate and protected waters ideal for the enjoyment of the sea. The Club offers excellent restaurant and function facilities, along with fully licenced bar at the clubhouse, situated on the waterfront strip of Rockingham, moorings, and a hardstand area available at Point Peron.

The Cruising Yacht Club of WA

2023 western australian, hobie cat state championships, it’s time to kick it ‘n’ rip it for some flat water sailing.

We invite Hobie 16 teams to enter the 2023 Hobie 16 WA State Championships. The event will be hosted by The Cruising Yacht Club, Rockingham, just a short drive south of Perth to sail in the pristine waters of Mangles Bay.

Racing will be held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 March. A casual shake down session and shore based training will be provided for interested teams who arrive on Friday afternoon. We encourage teams to arrive from midday to take part, the training will be at around 4pm.

Dinner tickets for the Saturday night meal will be included with the event entry for competitors and additional tickets can be purchased (adult / child / toddler). A casual overall presentation will be held on Sunday evening as soon as convenient after the conclusion of racing.

Regatta t-shirts are not included with the entry fee and can be purchased as an additional item. T-shirts ordered after 12 February will be available after the event (postage not included).

HCAWA will provide overnight security for the boats parked at TCYC on Friday and Saturday.

Camping is available at the TCYC compound on Point Peron Road. Please indicate this on your entry form if you wish to camp.

The 2023 HCAWA AGM will be held at the TCYC clubhouse prior to the Saturday dinner.

The 2023 Hobie 16 WA State Championships is going to be a lot of fun, please enter now, we hope to see you there!

• Exit at Safety Bay Road
• Continue over roundabouts and through traffic lights until you reach Ennis Avenue.
• Turn Right on to Ennis Avenue
• Continue through traffic lights to end of Ennis Avenue
• Turn Right on to Patterson Road
• Go straight over roundabout and through 2 sets of traffic lights
• Turn Left on to Harrison Street
• Turn First Right on to Val Street
• The Cruising Yacht Club car park is on your left hand side.

From Kwinana Freeway Southbound

• Exit at Thomas Road and Turn Right
• Follow through traffic lights and turn Left on to Patterson Road
• Continue through 5 sets of traffic lights, straight over 1 roundabout and through 2 further sets of traffic lights

From Rockingham Transperth Station

• Trains run frequently from both Perth and Mandurah to Rockingham Station
