Yachtsman Steakhouse offering a variety of dishes, hand-cut in-house steaks, unique sides and delectable desserts. The steaks are the best on Disney property!  If steak isn’t for you, they offer chicken and dumplings, braised short ribs and handmade ricotta cavatelli.

Yachtsman Steakhouse is a high-end dining establishment that is renowned for its premium steaks, fresh seafood, and free-range chicken.

That is the question my husband and children ask when we talk about our experience at the Yachtsman. Nothing about this restaurant is anything above average. We eat out a lot and know excellence in food and service. This restaurant does not meet those standards. When we are paying top dollar for food we expect top-dollar in service, atmosphere and food. This restaurant falls short. We arrived on time for our reservation. Our table was not ready, so we were given a pager and went to the bar area-which was very nice looking, unfortunately we had a surly waitress. Another oddity was we couldn't just carry our bar tab over to the table, we had to settle up with the surly one before getting our table. We dressed for dinner as the restaurant recommended. As others have said, there is NO dress code here-tank tops, gym shorts, flip flops, you name it, you saw it. The server we had was Tigger after four energy drinks. I'm not kidding-she was super hyper and talked incessantly all about herself and her family. Our appetizers were okay and the bread was delicious but then there was an extremely LONG wait for our meals. It seems there was a mess up in the kitchen, that happens sometimes, so it wouldn't have been a big deal except that the steaks everyone ordered were not very good. They were just average. The steaks just weren't 40 dollar steaks. Medium well was medium rare. Medium was rare. The fish was very salty and just not tasty. Everyone in our party left at least half of their meal on their plate. Overall, the meal wasn't what we would expect for the prices. In the end, though, the server made the experience memorable. She kept trying to flirt with and pick up my husband so much so that the kids noticed and that is what they are talking about since returning from their Disney vacation. We would not eat here again and will tell everyone to go to the Flying Fish Cafe for true top-notch service, atmosphere and food.

We had the fortune of eating here during a very busy Disney week. We arrived right on schedule for our reservation and were ushered in within 5 minutes. The service from beginning to end was impeccable. My husband ordered tomatoes caprese and I ordered the caeser salad as appetizers. Both were wonderful, the tomotoes tasted like they had been picked fresh out of our garden in August. I had the filet for main course. It was" melt in your mouth" divine. Hubby had the porterhouse which was a carnivore's delight. We both had the potatoes au gratin, fabulous!!! The desserts and bread were as great as everything else. We will be sure to return next time we are at Disney. We are from Chicago area, we know what great steak tastes like, this is definitely it Side note: The Yach Club resort looks amazing!!!!

We eat at the Yachtsman several times a year, but will not eat there unless David is able to be our waiter. He is the perfect mix of professionalism and friendliness. We have oft commented that if he goes to a different restuarant at WDW to work, we will follow him there. Overall the food is better than the other upscale restaurants at WDW, and the steaks are particularly better than Shula's. We agree with one reviewer that the dress code is not adhered to, as it should be, and an abundance of over-tired children can ruin the ambience. Note to parents: if you have spent the day at a theme park, grab a fast bite and let your kids go to bed; don't bring them to this special restaurant and force us to either watch them whine and cry, or fall asleep in their mashed potatoes.

Last December on our 13th trip to Disney World we tried the Yachtman's Steakhouse for the very first time. I couldn't believe we had been to Disney 12 previous times and never ate here. The steak was absolutely the BEST!! We were on the meal plan and actually rearranged previous reservations so we could eat at the Yachtman's twice during our week's vacation. I quickly read over some of the other reviews stating the steak was ok...are these people crazy?? Especially the one who compared it to the Golden Correl or Western Sizzlin...thats like comparing a chevette to a corvette...not even close. On both visits we had outstanding service and the most delicious, tender, perfectly done steaks ever. We will never visit Disney again without going to the Yachtmans.

Ahoy, sailors! After a long day at sea, or in the Disney theme parks, you deserve a feast! Luckily, the Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is now open, and we’ve got a first look at the newly reopened restaurant !

We’ve been on top of all the latest happenings around Walt Disney World , like some newly reopened restaurants , nighttime shows , and more! Now, a popular steakhouse is back, and we are giving you a first look !

The Yachtsman Steakhouse , located in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, is known for its tender steaks, creamy Lobster Bisque, and Chilled Admiral’s Tower for Two (a seafood feast of Maine lobster, snow crab, tuna tartare, jumbo shrimp, mussels, scallop ceviche, and charred octopus salad).

Previously, we found the steaks here to be some of the best on property , but dining at Disney has taught us that inconsistency can happen when it comes to our meals. Let’s take a look at the newly reopened restaurant!

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is open again! We made our way to check-in.

You can check in right outside the staircase to Yachtsman , at this desk that is reminiscent of a boat!

The inside of the restaurant is lightly lit and very nautical-themed , which makes sense.

The tables are covered in white tablecloths with black cloth napkins and wood chairs with leather seats .

Once we were sat at our table, we received a paper menu .

The paper menu lists the First Course , Signature Offerings , Butcher’s Cuts , Land and Sea Entrees , and Steakhouse Sides . Among the first course dishes is Lobster Bisque, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion Soup, and Beef Carpaccio .

We tried the Lobster Bisque with a lobster biscuit, crème fraîche, and espelette oil …

…and the Beef Carpaccio, which is made with truffle aioli, parmesan, fried capers, grilled artichokes, and smoked sea salt !

We also ordered the Whiskey Breeze , which is made with  Jim Beam Black extra-aged bourbon, Cointreau , and fresh lime juice with flavors of guava and mango .

We got the Butcher’s Cut 8-oz Filet Mignon , served with Cognac-Truffle Butter and Potato-Leek Gratin .

You can try ‘divine’ Michelin-starred restaurant for just £60 — but there’s a catch

Fried chicken and fancy aren’t normally words that you’d associate with one another, but Uber Eats may be about to prove they belong together.

That’s because the delivery service is teaming up with one of the top 50 restaurants in the world to launch an exclusive five-course menu that puts a luxurious twist on your standard takeaway.

Ikoyi launched onto the London restaurant scene in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, earning two Michelin stars and being placed at number 35 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2023. 

Recent reviews on Tripadvisor hail the restaurant as ‘outstanding’, ‘exceptional’, ‘divine’, and ‘inspiring’, with hundreds of customers leaving five star ratings.

As part of the Uber Eats Host series, which allows customers to have more affordable access to high-end restaurants, Ikoyi executive chef Jeremy Chan has developed a limited-edition menu for £60.

It’s comprised of five different dishes inspired by classic takeaway grub and, of course, draws upon the signature flavours used in the restaurant. 

The five courses include Mutton Merguez & Green Goddess Slaw, Fried Chicken, Smoked Scotch Bonnet and Raspberry, Jollof Rice and Crab Custard, Suya Tamari Pork, Mustard Greens and Kumquat, as well as Flower Sugar Cake, Batak Berry and Garigette Strawberry.

It’ll be the first time you can get food from Ikoyi delivered to your door, and while it’s much pricer than a regular takeaway at £60 per person, it’s actully somewhat of a bargain for Ikoyi.

That’s because the price is five times cheaper than the cost of the restaurant’s current tasting menu, which would set you back a whopping £320 if you booked in to enjoy it.

So if you’ve been desperate to try one of the city’s hottest spots but couldn’t afford it, this could be a great way to try the chef’s creative cooking, and save £260 in the process! 

A drinks pairing is also available if you’re willing to part with an additional £25 per person which features two cocktails designed specially to be enjoyed with the menu, as well as an Eko Lager and a palate cleansing soft drink. 

Speaking about the menu, Jeremy Chan, Executive Chef and Co-Founder of Ikoyi, said: ‘I often enjoy delivery food at home myself when I’m not working. When Uber Eats approached us, we were delighted to partner with them and share some of the tastes and flavours of Ikoyi for people to enjoy at home for the first time.’

Matthew Price, Uber Eats General Manager UK, Ireland and Northern Europe added: ‘ This menu is truly incredible and this will be the only chance to taste it!’

If this was all sounding a bit too good to be true, it’s because there’ is a catch. The Ikoyi Uber Eats menu will only be available in central London for two days in May.

Uber One members will be able to order it on May 10, and then Jeremy and the Ikoyi team will then be cooking it up for everyone else in the area who wants to try it on May 11 between 5pm and 10pm.

For those that want to enjoy Michelin-starred food at a fraction of the price outside of London, there’s another great option you might want to consider.

The Michelin Guide for 2024 was recently released and more than 200 UK restaurants earned a coveted star and one of them offers a bargain lunchtime deal.

The Coach, a one star Michelin pub in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, is offering a £15 two-course set lunch.

The pub is owned by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge and the deal is available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The menu changes weekly, but examples of dishes include tomato soup with cream cheese and basil pesto, followed by honey roasted bacon with charred pineapple and fried egg.

You can include a third course for a very reasonable £.750, which would mean you’d get the likes of a delicious sounding blood orange posset with dark chocolate and ginger nut for desert.
