How ‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Can Pick Up Some Wind In Its Sails For Season 2

Parker, Madison, Ciara, and Paget on Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1

'The Real Housewives Of D.C.' Made A Seismic Impact on Bravo's Flagship Franchise — One That's Never Really Been Fully Acknowledged

Stream it or skip it: 'hannah berner: we ride at dawn' on netflix: giggly squad, assemble, 'the real housewives of new jersey' season 14 reunion special axed due to cast tensions, 'summer house' transformed into bravo's best show during season 8.

The first season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has come to an end, and even though that charter guest didn’t have any drugs on him, maybe this season of the Bravo series could’ve used some. Despite the fact that Sailing Yacht was the latest addition to the proven win that is the boating franchise, including Below Deck and Below Deck Mediterranean , that didn’t stop this season from needing a bit of wind in its sails.

But let’s focus on the positive first. Sailing Yacht showed viewers a new side to the industry with these sleek sailing boats that move unlike any of the other motor yachts we’ve seen before. The way the wind would catch in those sails and the boat would be thriving, that was truly majestic to watch. There was an element of action and adventure to this series that the others can’t claim.

We also met Captain Glenn who was the perfect captain for this boat. His laid back attitude, willingness to jump up and fix a sail, and adorable admissions during his interviews made him an excellent leader for this show. He’s bringing something different to the table than Captain Lee and Captain Sandy, but he is also capable of showing the same support and sternness when necessary. He was a true delight.

And now, the waters get a little choppy. Viewers were excited to see Chef Adam return for the series after his two-season stint on Below Deck Mediterranean , but this didn’t feel like the Adam we know and love. He’s always been a self-proclaimed grump who just wants to be left alone while he makes his masterpiece meals —and the food did look incredible. But his romance with chief stew Jenna was not nearly the fairytale we hoped for. It was kind of the opposite, even. Their frustrations with each other were our frustrations watching their relationship hit several speed bumps. And the more they seemed to fall for each other, the meaner they became to their coworkers, especially Jenna, in order to have something to laugh about together. Considering how much time they spent together hugging and kissing and flirting in the kitchen, the only thing they were really cooking up was a bad taste in everyone’s mouths.

View this post on Instagram Feeling the Sunday scaries creep in. A post shared by Decider.com (@deciderdotcom) on May 17, 2020 at 3:08pm PDT

The only breakout from the interior was second stew Madison. Sure, she got herself worked up under the pressure of the job at times, but she still seemed to get the work done and had funny things to say in her interviews. She let viewers in on a big part of her life, she forgot to wear a bra to a beach picnic, and had the best facial reactions of anyone. Ultimately, she had the right mix of getting the job done and still being interesting for reality TV, which no one else on the boat really captured. If there’s another season of this show, bring her back as chief stew — it’s likely that would prevent the season from ever getting boring.

Then there’s Georgia. I’d love to know the details of the deal she clearly made with producers. Was it that they promised her 10 seconds of singing time in each episode in exchange for her pushing the forced “feelings for Paget” storyline? That never made any sense for a lot of reasons. If the two were close pals, that’s great. But he was clearly committed to Ciara, and despite their typical couple bickering, the two seem to be a strong match.

Deckhand Chris was nice and the kind of person you need to balance out a group of crazies, but everyone here was unfortunately normal(ish). Oh, but remember Parker? Wow does that feel ages ago. Perhaps it was because his time coincided with Jenna and Adam’s rocky road to love, but he never felt like an overly frustrating character in this mix. His behavior wasn’t that shocking, nor was his departure. Same goes for Byron, the first time an engineer has been a main cast member. We didn’t really learn more about what his job entails, we heard some witty one-liners from him, and he seemed cool enough. But that’s it.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 1 was just fine — even though that’s not a great thing in the world of reality TV. We watched it because the majority of this season aired while we were all stuck inside and it wasn’t as infuriating as the male privilege displayed at the end of the last season of Below Deck . It’s great that this franchise can air all year long, with Below Deck Med picking up in the same timeslot starting next week. But it’s got to find the humor of Below Deck Med or the competence of Below Deck and, ahem, sail with it. Jenna wasn’t a Kate or a Hannah, which would’ve been okay if those weren’t two very beloved skorts to fill. The romance wasn’t charming, the drama wasn’t salacious, the guests all seemed to be fine for the most part. That sounds nice and all, but nobody wants a boring vacation.

Hopefully there is a Season 2 because there’s a lot of potential here. If they can get the boat back up and running, and really, the cameras, it would be wise to lean likable in the casting for this show. We turn to Below Deck for an escape. The high-pressure of fulfilling guest needs while holding on as the boat tips to the side, and in extremely tight quarters, will produce enough drama. When we want fights, we watch Housewives , but Below Deck shouldn’t be frustrating, let alone infuriating. It should be fun. It’s just too bad no one seemed to have any this season.

90 Day Fiancé: Is Anna Campisi Too Thin? (She's Slimmer Than Ever After Weight Loss)

The bachelorette season 21: jenn tran’s cast proves the show doesn’t care about its lead, who is hud on claim to fame season 3 (spoilers).

Gary King raged out against Daisy Kelliher in an unseen clip from the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 reunion. The hit reality TV show recently wrapped up a season with many dramatic moments. However, the most interesting part was the love triangle between three senior Below Deck Sailing Yacht crew members: Colin MacRae, Daisy, and Gary. The trio has been part of the show since Sailing Yacht season 2 and has been friends for a long time. Unfortunately, their dynamic shifted this year when Daisy hooked up with Colin despite knowing she had a connection with Gary.

Peacock 's official YouTube channel (via E! News ) recently posted a Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 reunion clip that didn't make it to air but was included in the extended version on the streaming service. It showed Gary and Daisy discussing the love triangle situation , surrounded by their cast members. The video starts with TV host Andy Cohen asking Gary to share his thoughts on the hookup.

The First Officer responds by stating he is confused about the situation. He says if Colin and Daisy spent time in the hotel together and fell for each other, why weren't they open about it? Daisy then underplays the hookup by saying, "Oh my god. We kissed each other a couple of times. Jesus Christ."

Below Deck's Gary Accuses Daisy Of Changing Her Story

While the Chief Stew attempts to escape the conversation, Gary doesn't stop there. The 34-year-old First Officer accuses his former love interest of lying and not sticking to the story. Colin had previously admitted to hooking up with Daisy before filming Sailing Yacht season 4. He had said, "Daisy was in my hotel room days before filming." Therefore, Daisy's excuse that they just "kissed each other a couple of times" doesn't sit well with Gary. The First Officer says, " Daisy, now you're saying something different than what happened in the hotel room." The situation then implodes when Gary tries to make a statement, and Daisy cuts him off. Gary rages out and says, "I'm talking!"

The love triangle between Parsifal III 's Chief Engineer, First Officer, and Chief Stew sounds confusing. However, the trio has already shared enough to explain what may have happened. It seems that Daisy liked Colin and wanted to pursue him. Therefore, she hooked up with him before the show. Unfortunately, she later discovered that Colin had been sleeping with another woman. This revelation set her off, leading her to evaluate her relationship with him through Sailing Yacht season 4. Meanwhile, Daisy also liked Gary, which explains their past hookups. However, she knew Gary was into everybody else and didn't want that to be her relationship.

As for Gary, it doesn't make sense for him to speak his mind about Colin and Daisy's situation. He is known as the "playboy" of Parsifal III and doesn't deserve any sympathy for how he feels about the Chief Stew and Chief Engineer's hookup. Since Sailing Yacht season 2, Gary has tried hooking up with various women and never showed that he was a sincere guy who wanted a real relationship. He became a villain in the most recent season by hooking up with the new crew member, Mads Herrera. Gary questioning Daisy about her intentions is hypocritical, considering how controversial he is with the other Below Deck Sailing Yacht women.

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 4 Reunion Revelations: Where Each Boatmance Stands Post-Filming

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Reunion Revelations Where Each Boatmance Stands Post-Filming 273

Drama from season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht did not remain on board — and the cast had plenty of issues to address during the reunion.

The Bravo special, which aired its first part on Monday, July 17, centered around the challenges that Captain Glenn , Gary King and Daisy Kelliher faced during the latest charter season. A noticeable change from the season 4 finale to the reunion was the distance between Daisy and Colin MacRae .

The former couple, who started a relationship during their time on Parsifal III, did not appear to be on good terms. Daisy hinted at a falling out between her and Colin before they virtually crossed paths after filming season 4.

“I am going to leave it to the reunion. I feel like he [has the most to answer for at the reunion]. I have a lot of love for Colin, but things are complicated,” she explained on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in June when a fan asked why she unfollowed Colin on social media. “I don’t need complication on my social media.”

Before new episodes started to air in April, Daisy also discussed Gary and Colin’s overlapping interest in her. “I definitely feel like [Gary] was jealous. I could be completely wrong but [the way they acted felt a] bit like an ego thing going on between the two of them,” she exclusively told Us Weekly that same month. “And I was like, ‘OK, I don’t really want to be involved in this.'”

The Distance Between Daisy and Gary

During the second part of the reunion, Daisy accused Colin of affecting her friendship with Gary. "You made me feel so guilty about Gary. I eventually stopped talking to him and stopped being friends with him," she shared after crying on screen.

Colin and Gary later noted that they wanted to work on their friendship — but neither seemed to have high hopes about their individual relationships with Daisy.

The Truth Behind Daisy and Colin's Connection

According to Daisy and Colin, they originally hooked up before filming season 4. The chief stew, however, accused Colin of being with another woman as well, which he didn't originally disclose. Daisy also claimed Colin told her several times that he wanted to be with her between seasons 2 and 3 — while he was in a serious relationship.

The engineer, for his part, blew off the "irrelevant" comments about their timeline, adding, "This is what nobody knows in the audience. This is why the relationship turned toxic because you can't reason with this woman. I have realized that and I ended things with her."

A-List 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Fans

After Andy Cohen asked whether any celebrities reached out to the season 4 cast, Daisy recalled getting messages from several Hollywood stars.

"I have had a few celebrities reach out to me. I am not going to name drop. But Christina Applegate had reached out to me after I had seen her — she had a nice conversation with Captain Lee," the chief stew shared. "She's a huge fan of the show so it was really exciting. And obviously Chrissy [Teigen] ."

Mads and Alex's New Normal

Mads and Alex confirmed that they have stayed close after sharing a kiss during their last charter. The pair went on to say that a romance didn't seem to be in the cards amid the deckhand's complicated love life.

Daisy vs. Gary's Management Styles

During the first part of the reunion, Daisy put Gary on blast when she questioned his work ethic.

"I think Glenn acknowledges and is aware of how much I do. But possibly he sometimes isn't aware of what Gary doesn't do. Let's put it that way," Daisy quipped. "Gary could probably manage better. He could probably lead better. This isn't about me, this is about Gary."

In response, Glenn noted that Daisy had a "good point" that he didn't know everything about what happens behind the scenes. Gary, for his part, said he stood by the hard work he put into season 4.

Chase and Ileisha's Relationship Status

"After the show finished filming, I went home and ended things with my boyfriend. Chase [Lemacks] and I were just there for each other and he supported me through a lot of hard times," Ileisha Dell , who had a flirty relationship with Chase , revealed at the reunion. "We kind of went back and forth. He came to Australia and I have been to America a couple of times. I even went to Charleston."

The deckhand, meanwhile, admitted that his connection with Ileisha had a major factor working against them.

"The reality of it is that Ileisha is one of the most amazing women I have ever met but we live on the opposite ends of the world," he added. "Australia and Charleston couldn't be farther from each other. There's nothing but love there."

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 6 Recap: Free-Falling

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Welcome to the  Below Deck Mediterranean  Season 9, Episode 6 recap! In this week’s episode, called “Running Aft-er Time,” Elena continues bullying Bri. But Aesha doesn’t have time to deal with them and says, “Just get over it and do your job.” When Joe tells Gael he might be interested in Elena after all, she advises him to pick a girl and stick with her, or he’ll just cause trouble. The Bosun is already on thin ice with Captain Sandy, but when he makes a couple of major mistakes that could endanger the boat, this might be the end of the line for Ian. Here are some of the highlights from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 6.

The war continues

In the crew mess, Elena sees Joe and asks, “What’s going on with this Bri sleepover situation?” Bri’s been camping out in the boys’ cabin since she can’t stand to be in the same room with Elena.

“She’s just creating drama for no reason,” Ellie says. “She’s just going out of her way to be like, ‘Oh, I’m a victim.’ Nobody has done anything to you. Shut the f*ck up, [and] get to work … It has nothing to do with me.”

Next, Ellie complains to Aesha, “I’m sorry. This Bri situation is going to have to stop. She’s sleeping on the floor in the boys’ cabin.”

“Again?” Aesha asks. “Oh, my gosh!”

“She’s telling me I’m belittling her,” Elena continues.

“Are you?” Aesha asks.

“I am not,” Ellie insists. “I am not that person, and I will not stand for that. That’s where I draw the f*cking line.”

“I know it’s hard, but you both need to just get over it,” Aesha counsels. “We can sort it after the charter.”

“Bri and Ellie just have this annoying rivalry that is circling around Joe,” Aesha interviews. “When people are emotionally distracted, it’s not like you can discipline them out of their emotions. Put on your game face, and let’s focus on the guests who are paying a lot of money to be here.”

But Ellie can’t let it go. As she prepares to go with the guests on a cave excursion, she starts in again.

“By the way,” she tells Aesha, “Bri also mentioned that she’s been fired from a boat before for causing too much drama.” Who’s causing the drama now, Elena?

“Really?” Aesha says, pretending to care. “I’m sorry, but we’re on charter … We have to focus on the guests.”

Iain annoys the Captain

Meanwhile, Iain has his own problems. He told his crew to blow up the floating dock upstairs so it would be “out of the way.” But this doesn’t fly with Captain Sandy who thinks it’s messy to store things in the guest area. She’s right.

She tells Iain to move it down to the swim deck, where it belongs. Joe’s happy cause that’s what he tried to tell Iain in the first place. He feels vindicated.

Finally, when the deck crew is situated and ready to go on the excursion, Iain tells Aesha they’re ready for the guests.

“Well, go and get them!” she tells him. It’s like he’s never been a bosun before.

When Sandy tells him, “We need to get quicker at this,” his argument is, “I just had a different plan in my head …”

“Well, your plan wasn’t working,” Sandy says. “[The swim deck] always goes in [the water] first. That’s just how it works.”

That’s just yachting on Below Deck Mediterranean

While Ellie’s off the boat with the guests, Aesha meets with Bri in the upstairs pantry. Aesha doesn’t want to get into the details of their fight while they’re on charter. But she says Ellie mentioned that Bri slept in the boys’ cabin again last night.

“Why are you doing that?” the Chief Stew wants to know.

Bri explains that she just needed some space from Ellie, and it was fun to sleep in the boys’ cabin.

“Are you doing it to prove a point to Ellie?” Aesha asks.

“No, I’ve tried saying something to her, but she doesn’t want to hear it.”

Aesha tells Bri she needs to sleep in her own cabin, partly to pacify Ellie but also because they’re on charter and they all need their rest. When Bri complains about having to share a cabin with someone who’s so different than her, Aesha responds, “But that’s yachting. If you guys can’t sort your sh*t out, I’m gonna have to make some changes … I can’t have you guys fighting all season.”

So the next time Ellie comes in giving Bri orders about getting ready for dinner, Bri decides the best way to get along is to just say, “Aye aye, Second Stew … Whatever Ellie wants, I will do.”

Sounds like a plan.

Ellie makes excuses

When Aesha returns from break, she’s surprised that Ellie hasn’t yet decorated the dinner table, like she told her to. She asks Bri what they’re up to, and Bri says they’re “pulling plates” for dinner.

“Why wasn’t that done ages ago?” Aesha asks. She asked Ellie to pull everything for dinner nearly three hours ago. What’s Ellie been doing?

“It’s difficult with Ellie,” Aesha interviews. “I don’t know if she’s distracted, or if she’s just not as capable as she lets on. I’ve just always got to keep an eye on Bri and Ellie, and it’s exhausting … How about doing your job? Just work!”

When Aesha locates Ellie and asks why the plates aren’t yet pulled for dinner, Ellie says, “Because I was serving the guests the whole time.”

“You couldn’t do it in between serving them?” her boss asks.

“And then I was cleaning up the bar,” Ellie says, “and it just didn’t happen yet.” She sounds like she’s making excuses.

“We need to be completely done in an hour,” Aesha concludes, walking off to pull plates for the chef.

After she leaves, Ellie mutters, “Well, I’ll be finished in an hour. I just didn’t have the time.”

“Time has definitely gotten away from me,” Ellie says in a confessional. “But at the same time, Bri is just literally getting away with murder.” Literally, Ellie?! That’s one of my biggest pet peeves. Who did Bri “literally” murder, Ellie?

While Bri’s “getting away with murder,” Ellie goes on, “I’m out here getting put on a cross for, like, the smallest mistake. It’s bullsh*t.” Are we starting to detect a bit of a bad attitude with Ellie? I just hope Aesha starts to see it, too.

Joe considers switching girls

In the meantime, Joe repeats his earlier conversation in the tender with Ellie for Gael. He says he wanted to get her side of the story. He asked her, “Why’s [Bri] got to sleep in my cabin? What’s going on?”

Elle told him that Bri broke girl code by making out with him, and now Bri’s “playing the victim.” Um, isn’t Ellie also playing the victim here? I mean, with the cross and all.

“But that’s between them two,” Joe finishes. Um, no it’s not. The whole crew seems to be involved at this point. He also thinks they’re being “unprofessional” and “very immature.”

Gael reminds him there’s always “two sides to a story,” and they really don’t know the whole story. But Joe thinks he does. Mostly because he wants to get into her pants.

“And it’s all over you, man!” Gael teases.

Then he asks for her advice. “If there’s any potential with Elle, do I crack on with that?”

“Whoever you’re gonna bang,” Gael advises, “it’s either gonna be the person you continue to bang, or it’s gonna cause a lot of [trouble].” He can’t go back and forth between the two girls, or it will be an all-out war.

The anchor goes rogue on Below Deck Mediterranean

When Captain Sandy’s ready to haul up the anchor, Joe realizes the starboard windlass isn’t working. He radioed Sandy, “Captain, I have no power on the windlass.” The “windlass” is like a big spool that winds up the anchor chain. One of the engineers suggests they use the port windlass with a line to haul the anchor up.

“Worst case scenario,” Sandy says, “if I can’t get the anchor off the bottom, I have to leave the anchor.”

One of the other engineers discovers that the windlass batteries were left on overnight, “so it’s probably run flat.” Sandy’s not happy about this. “Seriously? F*ck!” she exclaims.

The batteries are also dead in the tender. Sounds like somebody f*cked up shutting things down last night. “Who left the battery on?” Sandy wants to know. “Who was the last one to dock the tender?”

Neither Joe nor Nathan can remember, so Sandy tells Joe to go wake up Iain. When Iain checks in with the captain, she asks him, “Who was the last one in the tender?”

“Probably me,” he confesses.

“You’ve got to turn off the battery,” she says. No excuses. She just needs him to “go sort that out.”

But when they try to haul up the anchor using the other windlass, the skinny-ass little rope they tied to the chain snaps like a rubber band, sending the anchor into free fall.

“Put the brake on!” Sandy screams. “Stop the anchor! Stop the anchor!”

But the chain continues to unwind, faster and faster. There’s no stopping it.

Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 7 Recap: Grecian Burn

Deckhands being bros on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Welcome to the  Below Deck Mediterranean  Season 9, Episode 7 recap! In this week’s episode, called “Chain Reaction,” the anchor issue causes the guests to extend their stay, Aesha tries to broker a truce between her two stews, and Elena’s attempt to lure Joe away from Bri falls flat. Additionally, high winds and approaching smoke force Sandy to make a risky exit from the dock. Here are some of the highlights from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, Episode 7.

“Stop the anchor!”

Captain Sandy on Below Deck Med talking into a walkie talkie

When last we left the Mustique crew, the anchor was free-falling to the bottom of the ocean, as the chain unspooled like a runaway train.

Sandy’s frantically yelling, “Put the brake on! Stop the anchor! Stop the anchor!”

Even though the crew finally manages to stop the chain from running out, Sandy says, “We’re not going to be able to get our anchor up.” Sandy doesn’t want to leave it because it’s “a very expensive piece of equipment.” An on-screen graphic tells us a new anchor and chain can cost upwards of $65,000.

Sandy decides to put a buoy on it to mark the anchor’s location, take the guests back to the dock, and return later for the anchor. Hopefully, it’ll still be right where they left it.

Aesha has to break the news to the guests that there’s a problem with the anchor, and they’ll be late getting back to the dock. They may miss their flights. She starts serving more drinks to keep them happy.

Sandy also comes to see the guests and assures them that “the boat is not sinking.” They just have an unavoidable problem with the anchor that will delay them for a bit.

The guests take it well and are just happy to have their stay on the boat extended.

A change in hierarchy on Below Deck Mediterranean

Below Deck Mediterranean's Joe Bradley scrubbing the deck.

When Joe is slowly placing a fender to prevent the boat from hitting the dock, Sandy isn’t pleased. She tries to keep it positive and says he just needs to learn a little more.

She calls Iain to the bridge and asks if he’s chosen a lead deckhand yet. He says he chose Joe because he seems to have more experience. But Sandy says, “Nate works circles around him. Joe’s a great talker, so maybe that’s why you thought that … I think you need to reassess experience.”

“This is clearly an oversite on Iain’s part,” Sandy interviews. “He should’ve informed me before making this decision … In the last few dockings, I always have to correct [Joe]. If Iain had taken the time to read the CVs, he would have seen that Nathan has a lot more experience than Joe. That’s a red flag.”

“In the future,” she continues with Iain, “always run it by me. But Joe does not have the experience when I dock, so Nate’s my bow guy.”

Just give peace a chance

Aesha Scott serving as Chief Stew on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Once the guests are gone, Aesha calls a meeting and tells Ellie and Bri they can bring a cocktail. When they’re all seated, Aesha says, “Well done on this trip, guys! I’m so pleased.” Except for the fighting and back-biting.

“You guys lost your focus for a little bit,” she adds. “It’s important to remember to say things with respect and kindness.”

“It bothers me if anybody’s putting out there that I’m disrespecting people,” Ellie interrupts defensively. “That’s something I have a huge issue with.”

Bri adds that her feelings were hurt, too, but Ellie responds that they don’t have time to be “overly sensitive about every single word.” I hope Aesha’s taking note of Elena’s overbearing tone. Plus she’s missing the whole point of the meeting.

Aesha reminds Ellie that they all have different personalities and to be conscious of how somebody might interpret something they say. “In a team environment, you can’t say, ‘I’m me and you have to take it,’” Aesha explains.

“But you can’t keep blowing things out of proportion at all times,” Ellie counters. “It’s exhausting.”

Aesha tells them to just “squash it” for now, but to watch how they speak to each other in the future “to be the best team we can be.”

Even though they share a group hug, Aesha questions whether things are fully resolved. Ellie kept trying to put the blame on Bri for “taking things the wrong way” and being “overly sensitive.” I don’t think Ellie heard the message Aesha was attempting to send.

The chief stew decides she’ll just “keep an eye on them” and hope for the best. If the situation escalates, she’ll have to ask for Captain Sandy’s help.

No kindness, no peace on Below Deck Mediterranean

Bri doing laundry on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Elena’s in the laundry helping Bri catch up. Bri’s still flirting with Joe, which annoys Ellie. In Bri’s defense, Joe was also flirting with her, so what’s a girl to do?

“You can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube,” Bri observes.

Meanwhile, Iain tries to get Ellie’s attention. Maybe she’ll get off Bri’s back if she has a man of her own. But even though Iain has high hopes, when a producer asks Ellie if he has a shot with her, she immediately shakes her head and says, “No.” So that’s that, then.

Almost immediately following the meeting with Aesha, Ellie and Bri are fighting over personal space while getting ready for the crew night out. Part of the problem is that Ellie is sitting in the middle of the cabin floor curling her hair, and Bri can’t get around her.

“Just get yourself together,” Ellie snaps, which is not very “respectful.”

“In the beginning, I thought Ellie could possibly be a friend,” Bri interviews. “But now, all trust is gone.”

For the night out, Elena is wearing a skin-tight, lacy black bodysuit, possibly hoping Joe notices.

At the bar, Aesha makes a plea to Joe, “You know how they’ve been having their little quarrels? Can you just please take one night off from the girls?”

“I don’t want any trouble,” Joe claims. “I’m not just like this little machine, that just goes around … f*cking everything. But I don’t think tonight is my night.”

“Thank you,” Aesha says, relieved.

Looks like that sexy bodysuit was a waste of effort and time, Elena. Joe respects Aesha’s request and doesn’t take the bait.

Sandy takes the risk

Captain Sandy Yawn and Aesha Scott on Below Deck Mediterranean.

Sandy’s on the bridge when she gets a report about a wildfire burning “a couple of hours from the marina.” Welcome to California, Sandy.

“This is the first time in my career that I’ve dealt with wildfires,” she says. “We need to get off the dock before we have a problem.”

When the new guests arrive, the wind is crazy. Sandy hopes it will die down so they can get off the dock. These guests are only on board for one night, and they don’t want to spend it in the marina. Also, Sandy wants to get out before the smoke from the wildfire arrives, but she has to wait for the wind to die down.

As she tells the guests, “I don’t want to make you seasick on your first time out,” which they appreciate.

To make matters worse, a big superyacht just parked right in front of the Mustique, blocking their exit. The wind is picking up, and the smoke is moving in.

“Typically, I wouldn’t take the risk to leave the dock,” Sandy says, “but because we have so much smoke coming in, I have to get this vessel off the dock. So I’m going to take the risk.”

Sandy gives the order to drop the lines and go. The plan is to thrust off the dock and go as close to the superyacht as she can to clear it. There are also two smaller boats on her port side, so she not only has to clear those boats but their ground lines also. It’s gonna be a tight squeeze. Can she make it?
