This season, we'll be introduced to several yachtie amateurs and experienced professionals alike, including one stew who comes from a family of yachties and a chef who worked in the kitchens of Michelin-starred restaurants. But before the wild season premieres, let's get to know the charter crew of Parsifal III, ready to make a splash on a television screen near you.

"Below Deck: Sailing Yacht" is back for a second season starting March 1st at 9PM ET.

Daisy Kelliher

Position: Chief Stew

Instagram: @daisykelliher87

As chief stew, Irish born and bred Daisy is no stranger to the world of yachting—she comes from a family full of them. While she does have a legacy to uphold upon the Parsifal III, as we'll soon learn, she's no stranger to letting loose from time to time.

Daniele "Dani" Soares

Position: Second Stew

Instagram: @iamdanisoares

As Parsifal III's second stew, Dani has more than than eight years' of experience on yachts. Yes, she's great at her job, but she also admits having a sensitive side to her, which can sometimes get in the way of getting the job done.

Position: Third Stew

A relative newbie to yachting, Dore is hoping to gain more experience on the Parsifal III. Safe to say we can already predict some discord amongst the interior crew, based on their varying experience levels.

Natasha De Bourg

Position: Chef

Instagram: @living_vicariously_through_me

Parsifal III's new chef Natasha comes to the yacht with years of European culinary experience at Michelin-star establishments. She has sharp skills, which are only matched by her sharp tongue.

Colin Macrae

As this season's chief engineer, Colin has eight years of yachting experience under his belt. He also has a popular YouTube channel following his sea adventures.

Position: First Mate

Instagram: @king_gk

As this season's first mate, Gary comes aboard the Parsifall III with over a decade of experience on both small boats and super yachts. As of June 2019, it appears he was in a relationship...which may or may not change when he's onboard the Parsifal.

Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux

Position: Deckhand

Instagram : @jeanluc_cerza_lanaux

Although he's technically the youngest crew member about Parsifal III at 25, it doesn't mean Jean-Luc isn't familiar with yachts. A former football player, the 6'8" deckhand has some experience working hard to achieve his goals.

Sydney Zaruba

Instagram: @sydney_zaruba

As the lone female deckhand this season, Sydney isn't afraid to jump in to help. Previously, Sydney worked for her family's boat business.

Captain Glenn Shephard

Position: Captain

Instagram: @bigsailboats

Back for his sophomore season on the beloved boat franchise, Captain Glenn is still the calm and laid-back leader we all loved last year. But his crew members better watch out—despite his chill exterior, he's not afraid to give a piece of his mind when needed.

Meet The Season 2 Cast Of Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Prepare for messy romances and a lot of tension.

Captain Glenn Shephard on Below Deck Sailing Yacht via the Bravo press site

Season 2 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht features almost an entirely new cast . The only person fans will recognize is Captain Glenn Shephard, the leader fo the Parsifal III yacht who also captained the ship in Season 1. But with so many new crew members comes the potential for a ton of new drama.

Already, the Bravo website is teasing that the chief stew will butt heads with the chef, complicated romances will emerge, and tensions will be high due to pandemic protocols that required the crew to stay on board at all times. Captain Glenn is usually able to stay pretty cool in tough situations, he has his limits . If his staff isn't living up to his expectations, things could get rough. But as the captain teased to E! News, he tried his best to let the cast relax while also pushing them to stay on task. "Working on a yacht in a busy charter season is a bit of a pressure cooker," he said. "So, when there are not guests around, I will let them blow off a little steam — but I want to keep my eye on it, so it doesn't get out of hand." Of course, the trailer hints that things did exactly that .

Before all the drama unfolds, get to know the yacht's new cast.

Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux

Below Deck Season 2: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

Pooja Sharma of Below Deck Season 2: Where Are The Cast Members Now?

Traversing rough waters and strained relationships, Bravo’s ‘Below Deck’ chronicles the lives of crew members aboard a mega yacht. The reality television show follows the working relationships of a group of individuals as they don the caps of the Captain, Chief Stew, Chef, and deckhands. The series features the ups and downs of the group as they try to entertain guests and customers during the charter season. Released in 2014, season 2 of ‘Below Deck’ features equal drama and chaos. Years later, fans have been curious to learn the whereabouts of the cast members. So, if you also want to know more, look no further because we’ve got all the answers right here!

Lee Rosbach is Enjoying Family Time Now

Leading the crew once again, Captain Lee Rosbach reclaimed his position as the Captain of the yacht Ohana. Almost a decade later, the “Stud of the Sea” has relinquished his position in light of health concerns. Season 10 brought Captain Lee’s ailments to light. The television personality had to temporarily step aside from filming amid his burgeoning mobility issues and consequent pain. Eventually, Captain Lee also revealed that he was not invited back for season 11. Nevertheless, he maintains a warm dynamic with the production house and has returned with another show on Bravo TV.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Captain Lee Rosbach (@captain_lee_rosbach)

Along with former Chief Stew, Kate Chastain, Captain Lee hosts ‘Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate.’ At 73, the reality TV star is still as active and busy as ever. Along with his wife, Mary Anne, he continues to enjoy the fruits of his labor. Lee and his wife, Mary Anne, also love spending time with their children, grandchildren, and friends.

The family had to bear a heavy loss in 2019 when Captain Lee’s youngest son, Joshua, died after struggling with an opioid addiction for years. Since then, the family has become extremely vocal about addiction and hopes to achieve change regarding rehabilitation and care for people struggling with addiction.

Ben Robinson is Actively Catering and Planning Marriage

The Chef, Caterer, and Certified Health Coach became one of the pivotal members of the show. With an intersectional experience, Ben delivered lip-smacking delicacies throughout his tenure on the show. Ultimately, he didn’t return to the series after season 2. Yet, Ben still starred in ‘Below Deck: Mediterranean’ and ‘Below Deck: Galley Talk’ with former Chief Stew Kate Chastain. As per rumors, Ben has purportedly fathered Kate Chastain’s baby, which both individuals have vehemently denied.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Chef Ben Robinson (@benstogram)

On the personal front, the 42-year-old is set to marry Kiara Cabral, his girlfriend of four years. Ben asked her to marry him at the Vatican, and the couple looks forward to planning their wedding. In addition to working as a Caterer and Chef, he is also an emerging influencer. In addition, Ben is a TikTok and Cameo creator and sells merchandise. Not just this, fans can find an array of services the Chef offers through his online channels.

Kate Chastain is Embracing Motherhood

Taking the reigns as the Chief Stew, Kate Chastain quickly established her monopoly on the show. The star went on to display her quirks and leadership skills for five more seasons before hanging the robes after season 7. The television personality decided to explore other paths and leave her post as a Senior Member of the Bravo reality series.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kate Chastain (@kate_chastain)

Since then, Kate has become a producer and launched her own production company, Remotely Possible Productions. With years of experience on charters, she wrote a book about her experiences entitled, ‘Lucky Charming,’ published in 2016. The 40-year-old is currently based in New York, working on a radio series titled ‘Unapologetically Kate Chastain.’ She has also appeared on ‘The Traitors,’ and is working with Captain Lee Rosbach on ‘Couch Talk with Captain Lee and Kate.’

On the personal front, Kate welcomed her son Sullivan Cay in May 2023. The television personality had been previously embroiled in a controversy as well. In 2016, Kate was arrested for allegedly assaulting her ex-girlfriend, Ro Hernandez. While she hasn’t revealed anything about the domestic arrest charges, she has expressed how she’s careful about who she’s dating. Besides, Kate has chosen to keep the identity of her baby’s father hidden and has vehemently denied that a cast mate from ‘Below Deck’ has fathered her child.

Kat Held is Pursuing a Nursing Career

Widely remembered for her popular catchphrases and her unwantedness to work, Kat was full of jovial fun on the show. While the television personality had initially found it challenging to be on the same page as the Chief Stew, things became streamlined in season 2. This iteration also marked Kat’s last appearance on reality television.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kat Held (@katostate)

Since then, the 39-year-old has dabbled into waitressing, bartending in Las Vegas, and even nursing. Kat returned to nursing school in 2017 and is now purported to be a registered nurse. While she still operates social media, she has decidedly kept all her details under wraps. Kat last appeared on Andy Cohen’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ with her co-stars in 2020.

Amy Johnson is Working in Aviation

The 38-year-old reality TV star appeared on two seasons of ‘Below Deck’ before quitting reality television. Born and raised in Texas, Amy was a sales representative for Cadillac before finding herself entranced by travel and adventure. Ultimately, after using her personable skills to acquire a job on a yacht, she went on to solidify her position in the industry.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Amy Johnson Lenthall (@amy.jo.johnson_)

After consistently knocking heads with Kate and other crew members, Amy left behind her spot on the show. Since then, she has found more happiness and success. On the personal front, Amy found love with Ellis Lenthall, an experienced Industrial Sales Account Executive. The couple tied the knot in 2020 and have continued to explore the bliss of marital harmony together. On the professional front, Amy is now a contractual Corporate Flight Attendant based in Florida.

Eddie Lucas is Commanding the Harbor Waters

Eddie climbed to the ranks of a bosun in season 2. Originally a Deckhand, he claimed the position of First Officer on the Bravo reality show. After returning to the show for eight seasons, he hung his robes and departed from the franchise. The reality TV star has now taken up a life outside entertainment and is the Captain of a Harbor Tug Boat in the Baltimore Harbor. Eddie even managed to purchase a home in Baltimore but also revealed in an interview that Bravo has been paying him less than other cast members.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Eddie Lucas (@eddielucas)

The 38-year-old now likes to spend his time sailing across the Caribbean and other exotic locations. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his dog, Bert, and his partner. Eddie was also speculated to have left the show because of his disagreement with Rayna Lindsey and alleged homophobic comments. However, the television personality has not addressed these rumors.

Kelley Johnson is A dvocating for Mental Health Today

Along with his sister Amy Johnson, former Marine Kelley Johnson channeled his love for fishing and water through ‘Below Deck.’ He eventually left the series after season 4 and has since explored other opportunities. Kelley works as an Emotional Support Advocate for people with mental health issues. The veteran also runs his YouTube channel called The Military Guy and regularly posts self-help videos.

Moreover, Kelley has discovered his penchant for photography and videography and now explores his fascination with the lens. The television personality currently helms the Ship of Fools – 68 Viking as the Captain. Based in Fort Lauderdale, the 36-year-old enjoys all aspects of life with his friends and family.

Andrew Sturby is Working in Fashion Retail

Despite lying about his credentials, Andrew managed to savor his spot on ‘Below Deck,’ thanks to Captain Lee’s discretion. Yet, he still failed to perform his duties righteously and instead spent more time engaging with the guests. Ultimately, Andrew couldn’t live up to the responsibilities and was fired from the show.

below deck yacht cast season 2

Since he departed from the show, Andrew has primarily kept his life under wraps. Now in his 30s, he no longer prefers to share his life on social media with his fans. On the professional front, he’s working as a Clothier at Ticknors Men’s Clothier. On top of it, Andrew has appeared in ‘Vow: White Knights,’ and ‘The Awakening.’

Logan Reese is Engaging in Maritime Activities and Adventures

Joining hands as a Deckhand and replacing Andrew on the crew, Logan managed to absorb the responsibilities of the charter quite well. Ultimately, his stint on the show was limited. The television personality and his partner, Elissa Ellis, are now based in Florida. Logan is still an adventurer who regularly takes to the ocean and other sports. He is still engaged with work on the boat and regularly shares his journey with fans on social media.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Logan Reese (@leftfin)

Jennice Ontiveros is Producing and Voice Acting in the Entertainment Industry

Despite her short stint on the series, Jennice made history by becoming the first female Deckhand on the show. Outside the show, her romance with ex-Marine Kelley Johnson didn’t blossom the way they had anticipated. Instead of moving in together, Jennice and Kelley were embroiled in an online altercation and ultimately soured towards one another during the reunion episode.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jennice Ontiveros (@jenniceonearth)

Nevertheless, the television personality managed to put behind the drama and has since gained a career in entertainment and production. She has done voiceovers for ‘Adventures of Aladdin,’ and ‘Create Together.’ Jennice has even worked as a Producer on ‘School of Chocolate,’ and ‘MasterClass: Talking Shop.’ The Native New Mexican is based in Los Angeles and is vocal for the SAG Writers Strike. The Emmy nominated Producer has also worked with YouTube Originals.

‘Below Deck Sailing Yacht’ Season 2 Reunion Revelations: Dani’s Pregnancy, Gary’s Love Triangle and More

Below Deck's Dani: Baby's Father Doesn't Want 'Anything to Do With' Their Child

Just the beginning! The Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast virtually came together to break down everything that happened during the show’s second season — and nothing was off-limits.

During part one of the reunion on Monday, June 21, Glenn Shephard , Colin Macrae , Gary King , Natasha De Bourg , Daisy Kelliher , Dani Soares , Alli Dore and Sydney Zaruba returned to reflect on their highs and lows.

Deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux , who had some big questions to answer about his relationship with Dani since the season wrapped , was noticeably absent. However, host Andy Cohen confirmed that Jean-Luc did a separate interview for the reunion where he addressed the speculation that he’s the father of Dani’s baby .

“If that is my child, I want everything and anything to do with that child’s life,” Jean-Luc said in a preview for part two of the reunion, set to air on June 22.

Prior to the reunion, Jean-Luc took to social media to finally respond to fan’s theories about his relationship with Dani, who welcomed her first child in May.

“There’s a lot of gossip about my social media silence so I think it’s time to clear the air. While others are off chasing their 15 minutes of fame, I am working on a yacht in Central America,” he wrote via Instagram on Friday, June 18. “[I’m] heartbroken to have to hear about the baby’s birth on social media and read headlines, like, ‘Dani Soares Says Her Baby’s Father Doesn’t Want Anything to Do With It.’ All I can say is if it’s mine, I want to be involved 100 [percent].”

Jean-Luc continued: “As someone who grew up with parents who weren’t together, I wouldn’t wish that on any child. Not looking for a pity party. Just want everyone to know how strongly I feel about this, especially the haters who are so sure I am neglecting my responsibility. No one wants to know more than me if this is my baby girl!”

Many members of the Below Deck universe quickly responded to the post and called out Jean-Luc for not doing the right thing, including costar Sydney, who asked, “What is wrong with you?!”

“Don’t play the innocent victim here JL. Man the fuk [sic] up,” Colin added in the comments.

Season 2 chef Natasha added: “I’m sorry JL but sounds like a pity party to me. Why didn’t you reach out 9 months ago ??? No woman deserves to be treated the way you treated Danny [sic]”

While Jean-Luc didn’t appear on part one of the reunion, he was still a large topic of conversation between the crew.

“I think we blame everything on J.L. He’s not here, it makes sense, right? Anything that went wrong this season,” Glenn joked as the rest of the cast members laughed.

The Crew's Thoughts on Jean-Luc's Work Ethic

The Below Deck stars didn't hold back when they spoke about the deckhand’s absent approach to his job, with chief stew Daisy referring to Jean-Luc as "absolutely moronic" while explaining why she refused to let Dani take the blame for Jean-Luc not completing his duties during their night shifts.

Colin also opened up about his relationship with Jean-Luc throughout the season, some of which fans didn't get to see.

"I didn't specifically get on with J.L. from the start, we didn't click. But I felt like he kind of didn't want to take instructions from Gary or myself sometimes," the chief engineer said. "That was just his attitude towards work."

Captain Glenn, who applauded Sydney for her hard work in comparison, added: "He just didn't get the urgency of what is going on."

Gary's Treatment of the Women

In response to a fan question about him "being a twat to basically all the women on the boat," Gary admitted that he did feel badly about his behavior . Shortly after, all the women except Natasha raised their hand when they were asked if they felt like the bosun didn't always treat them well.

Daisy specifically called out Gary earlier in the reunion episode for the way he spoke about her when she wasn't around. "You clearly also hated me and thought that I was a giant bitch," she revealed.

Gary, for his part, clarified: "I may have said you were acting bitchy, I never said you're a bitch.”

Dani and Her Castmates Address Her Baby's Paternity

After Dani shared that Jean-Luc did not want to be involved in her pregnancy, her costars had plenty to say about the deckhand's reaction.

"She's working so hard. She's doing 12-hour days. She's trying to get herself prepared as best as she can. And it is incredibly disgusting and frustrating that [Jean-Luc] won't even acknowledge the situation," Alli responded. "My heart breaks for Dani but she is so strong. I know that she can do this without him and will be better off."

Meanwhile, Gary claimed that Jean-Luc "does not have a spine."

"For the little respect that I had for him, that's gone out the window," he added.

Gary Had a Girlfriend

Alli dropped the bombshell that Gary had a girlfriend when he joined the boat during part two of the Below Deck reunion.

"We were in a very complicated relationship. I hadn't seen her for eight months prior to me coming on the show. Not seeing someone for eight months and growing apart in those months ... do we put a label on that? No," Gary explained after the big reveal.

For Alli, this was a major reason why she felt like it wasn't fair for Sydney to be so mad about their situation with Gary.

"I did everything I could to be respectful in a situation but at the end of the day, when you sleep with someone when they are in a relationship, I feel like that voids you being able to treat me the way you treated me," Alli told Sydney.

Another Below Deck Baby

The former stew, who confirmed the news on social media before part one of the reunion aired , revealed that she was expecting a baby.

"Dani and I are pregnant at the same time. It's so cool!" Alli gushed about her exciting news.

Gary admitted that he didn't know his ex was pregnant, but said that he was happy for her.

"She told me when I spoke to her that her boyfriend treats her well and treats her like a princess, and at the end of the day as long as Alli is happy then I am happy," he added.

The Crossing Timeline

After Cohen asked about the crossing, Alli and Gary explained that they were an official couple during that period of time, but that it was never meant to last.

"It was inevitable that she was always leaving to Australia, so I think in the back of our minds we knew that we could never seriously work because of that," Gary clarified. "Regardless of the great chemistry and the ability to make each other laugh endlessly, and also finish each other's sentences."

Jean-Luc is the Father of Dani's Baby

"Let's put it this way. This baby was made during the season while we had cameras 24/7 with us and I only slept with one guy," Dani finally confirmed. "He hasn't supported me at all in any way. He thinks it is not his child and he doesn't want to have anything to do with it."

Dani opened up about the negativity that she saw online from people like Jean-Luc's mother and how she struggled with that.

"Obviously, I say during the whole season that I want to be a mom and have a family, but I wanted a family. That was my plan. That was my vision. I would not choose to move to a new country where I don't know anybody and choose to have a child with a 24-year-old boy that I barely knew," she emotionally revealed. "I did not plan that. I am just going with this now and I am sure my little baby girl is going to be amazing."

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 2 full cast list: Glenn Shephard, Natasha De Bourg and the rest from Bravo show

The salary of a yachtie is impressive but not everyone has what it takes to earn it. Knowing how to efficiently tackle demanding charter guests and rough seas, while following orders and maintaining team dynamics, is an art not too many can master. But the new crop of yachties of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' can. At least that is what it looks like from the the first-look trailer.

This season is going to be different not because it's a boat load of new faces but the fact that they have to stay on the yacht even when the guests are done. Usually, the team gets a day or two off between charters. The Covid-19-induced lockdown restrictions have forced the showrunners to stick to the vessel for safety purposes. But before we talk more about what to expect from Season 2, let's take a quick look at what to expect from the cast and what are their backstories.

Captain Glenn Shephard

The Montreal native is serious about the title he holds. He is a no-nonsense person but at the same time able to recognize the moments that require him to loosen up and be more of a friend than someone in a leadership role. Captain Glenn is calm and collected most of the times and that is largely because he has 11 years of experience behind him captaining the Parsifal III.

Natasha De Bourg

below deck yacht cast season 2

The Trinidad-based chef had a troubled and difficult childhood but that never stopped her from achieving her goals - being the best at what she does. She finished school in Europe and later landed gigs at Michelin-star restaurants. She was employed as an executive chef in France before she gave it up to be a part of the show.

Daisy Kelliher

below deck yacht cast season 2

Sailing comes naturally to this chief stewardess whose grandfather was an Olympic sailor for Ireland in 1964. Her parents and relatives were in yachting too. What does this mean for the rest of the crew? Daisy is well versed with the business of yachting, which gives her an edge but she also drinks like a true Irish woman and that could cause her to lose focus at times? Let's wait it out.

Colin Macrae

below deck yacht cast season 2

Our chief engineer has worked for eight years on super yachts so he knows what he is talking most of the times. On the surface, he comes as across as someone who is "kind" but let's not take that attribute for granted.

Gary King

below deck yacht cast season 2

Our first mate could also be the party king of the season. His bio on the Bravo site reads: "On one hand, he rules his department with an iron fist but on the other hand, he is never the type to leave a party first." He has 12 years of experience and knows all about his job but what may distract him is his "casual flirtation turned real feelings", which often get him into trouble.

Dani Soares

below deck yacht cast season 2

Second stewardess has eight years of experience behind her. She began her career in yachting after dockwalking for two weeks straight. Dani knows what she is doing and is passionate about work but she's often consumed by emotions and feelings, which come in the way of her moving forward.

Alli Dore

below deck yacht cast season 2

She's a dive master and has experience on the exterior but Alli wants to grow professionally and therefore, has joined the interior team. This will help her resume get a wholesome finish. The Australian is "bubbly and eccentric" and has a "unique perspective" towards life that guides most of her decisions.

Sydney Zaruba

below deck yacht cast season 2

This deckhand is no stranger to the seas. Her parents lived off of a sailboat when she was born. Their family runs a boat business, which she is directly involved in. "They charter a 76-ft schooner named Freedom," her bio reads. Naturally, she takes a lot of pride in having a complete knowledge of sailing. But she has never done it professionally, which makes her story all the more interesting. Sydney is looking forward to it but gets thrown off course when she gets entangled in a messy boatmance.

Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux

below deck yacht cast season 2

Our other "tallest" deckhand could go for a career in NBA if he had the flair for it. He's at 7 feet all. Let's hope that is not the only interesting detail he brings to the mix. His interactions with the rest of the crew will be interesting given that he is also the youngest.

Below deck: everything to know about guests barrie & tony.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow brought their relatives along on Below Deck Sailing Yacht,. The two charter guests are known for making LGBTQ+ history.

Barrie and Tony Drewitt Barlow are Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guests that fans of the show want to learn more about. They have a fascinating background that impacted U.K. history. However, they also had awkward drama. Thanks to these contrasting elements, these guests were memorable additions to the series.

Episodes featuring the Below Deck season 2 stars showed a different sort of trouble in paradise. It turned out that kids could be very fussy eaters. Chef Natasha De Bourg, who said that she is often underestimated because she is pretty, had trouble serving the large family due to all the requests. This strained her relationship with chief stew Daisy Kelliher. It didn't help that Barrie had taken up with his daughter Saffron Drewitt Barlow's ex Scott, and welcomed another child into their relationship. In fact, his marriage with Tony broke up because he was having an affair with his daughter's ex. Saffron drew a line in the sand about Barrie and Scott kissing in front of her. Traveling on a ship with her family proved to be really awkward, especially since Scott was there as well.

Barrie & Tony Were Fascinating Below Deck Sailing Yacht Guests

Barrie and Tony from the Below Deck franchise are a landmark couple. After a law was passed that legitimized LGBTQ+ marriage, they were the first pair of officially recognized gay dads in the United Kingdom. They have five children, and the future reality stars started their parenthood journey by having a set of twins who were conceived with a surrogate mother in Los Angeles. During that time period, gay men generally did not pursue this avenue, and adoption systems had ingrained biases against LGBTQ+ couples. Joining forces with a surrogate mother helped to set a precedent for other people who wanted to go the same route.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Tony & Barrie's Family Kept Growing

While the couple from Below Deck Sailing Yacht decided to sail through Croatia on the nautical reality series, they eventually stopped being romantic partners, but their separation was amicable. They maintain that their relationship became friendly, rather than romantic. The two chose to focus on being good parents. Barrie is with his daughter's ex, and Saffron has stated that she would rather not know details about their romance, as Barrie has no filter. Barrie has admitted that it's weird how he has fallen for someone half his age. Nevertheless, they're all maintaining relationships with one another.

Barrie and Scott's baby is named Valentina Willow Drewitt-Barlow, and she was born in October 2020. Tony had throat cancer in the early 2000s. Unfortunately, it returned in 2018. During his treatment, Tony fell for a nurse named Brent, who is significantly younger than him, and a very devoted partner. Part of the reason he signed on as a Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest is the fact that Tony wanted to spend every precious moment with his family, including his ex and children.

The two, along with their partners, needed to adjust to spending so much time together. Though they were still present in each other's lives, they did not want to be romantic partners. Barrie, who seemingly flirted with just about anyone, played a dangerous game. Tony was gracious, but it was unclear if his partner Scott was as patient with Barrie's personality. Barrie flirting with Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 crew member Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux, right in front of Scott, may have reminded Scott of why Tony and Barrie ended their romantic relationship.

About below deck sailing yacht.

Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy.

Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay. In the galley, Chef Ilesha's cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy.

With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Loses 2 Crewmembers After a Firing and a Dramatic Season 11 Departure

Below deck 's capt. kerry titheradge fired the first season 11 yachtie during the bravo series' march 18 episode, but that wasn't the only shocking departure. find out who else left the yacht..

The  St. David  is down not one, but two crewmembers.

During Below Deck 's March 18 episode, Captain Kerry Titheradge  fired the first season 11 yachtie when he let Bosun Jared Woodin go for unprofessional behavior, the last straw being an inebriated Jared barging into Stew Barbie Pascual 's cabin the night prior and yelling at Deckhand Kyle Stillie for leaving a mess of loose tobacco on the deck after a night of partying.

"This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior," Kerry told his subordinate. "You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guy is not acceptable."

But it wasn't just the alcohol that was the problem, as Kerry noted Jared's mental state wasn't where it needed to be. "You've got s--t going on, man," he shared. "You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

However, Jared agreed his head wasn't in the right place and accepted his termination graciously.

"This ain't the right place for me at the right time," Jared replied, to which Kerry responded, "I don't blame you for that. Take this time and work on yourself. Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Before departing the super-yacht, Jared reflected in a confessional, "I thought I was in a good headspace coming into this. I'm really not. And as much as I'd like to be I'm just lying to myself."

But Jared wasn't the only teammate to set sail during the latest episode. Stew Cat Baugh willingly left the ship after admittedly struggling with the job all season long.

"I really wanna push through for you guys," Cat, in tears, told Chief Stew Fraser Olender after receiving a very distressing call from a friend back home in America. "I'm just losing my mind right now."

And Fraser totally understood his crewmember's needs.

"If you're in a very unhappy place," he told her, "I'd rather you put your health and your mental health before that and we get you the help you need as soon as we can."

In a confessional, Fraser elaborated, "I don't know what is going on, but you can look into someone's eyes sometimes and see that there is no more that they can give. They are going through enough to be incapable and I need to do what's right for her. "

See how the crew copes with the unexpected departures when Below Deck airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And keep reading to look back at the most shocking Below Deck firings ever.

If there's one thing to learn from Camille Lamb 's Below Deck firing, it's to not slack off on the job. That's exactly why the season 10 stew was let go by substitute Captain Sandy Yawn , as Chief Stew Fraser Olender continued to criticize Camille's behavior on board.

From being caught drinking while preparing for a new charter to partying at late hours and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had reached his "last straw."

"She's the common denominator in all of this," said Captain Sandy. "Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what's best for the boat."

Below Deck Adventure 's Kyle Dickard was let go just three episodes into the reality franchise's latest series—which premiered in November 2022. After picking fights with his fellow deckhand Nathan Morley —as well as kissing crew mates in front of guests—Kyle was offered by Captain Kerry Titheradge the opportunity to resign so that his firing would not end up on his personal record.

Kyle took the Captain up on his offer and left the boat after just one charter.

Captain Sandy let bosun Raygan Tyler go during season seven of Below Deck Mediterranean ,  not only for causing the boat to  take a small hit while docking, but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.

But Captain Sandy didn't want her firing to discourage the bosun, as she told Raygan, "If I had the time and I wasn't running a boat this size, I would train you. I would teach you."

In addition to onboard romances and failing to follow directions , one of the biggest reasons behind stew Elizabeth Frankini 's Below Deck firing was her infamous laundry room accident , during which made a toxic mess when combining bleach and laundry soap.

"Unfortunately, I didn't know that was so toxic and I feel so bad about it," she told E! News of the incident in December 2020 . "You know, I do feel really bad, especially 'cause Francesca [ Rubi ] did say, 'Take it outside.'"

The bosun and stew were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with their fellow yachties.

Luke Jones was let go after getting into Stew Margot Sisson 's bed naked while she was drunk and unconscious. Laura Bileskaine also made unwanted advances on Deckhand Adam Kodra despite him telling her he was not interested in hooking up.

Jason made it known that consent was a must, and sent both crewmembers packing.

Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and Chef Mathew Shea came to a head during an explosive dinner fight on season six of Below Deck Mediterranean , during which Lexi told Matt that his parents "should've aborted you." That was the last straw for Captain Sandy, who fired her not long after the incident.

Deckhand Tom Pearson said "bon voyage" to Below Deck Sailing Yacht after getting let go by Captain Glenn Shephard . Tom hit his last strike with the Captain after failing to report that the boat's anchor was dragging during heavy winds one night, causing a potential safety risk for everyone on board.

"It had to be done. It was such a grievous thing that he dropped the ball there, he had to go, and we had to just be man down and live with it, you know?" Captain Glenn said of the decision  on Watch What Happens Live. "So, obviously, you don't want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen."

Some people are picky eaters, but Below Deck Down Under' s Ryan McKeown was quite the picky chef, as he would judge guests'  food requests  and fail to take  criticism from Captain Jason Chambers , as well.

Perhaps Ryan's Below Deck exit is one of the franchise's most memorable, as he mooned Jason and viewers on his way off the boat.

Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek 's firing was another case of slacking on the job. After constantly being on her phone texting or video chatting with her boyfriend, Chief Stew Aesha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter season.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Peter Hunziker was fired from the series in June 2020 after he shared an offensive post on social media.

"Peter Hunziker of Below Deck Mediterranean has been terminated for his racist post," Bravo wrote in a statement at the time. "Bravo and 51 Minds are editing the show to minimize his appearance for subsequent episodes."

Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was let go by Captain Sandy on Below Deck Mediterranean after boson Malia White discovered her co-star possessed undeclared Valium and a vape pen, the former of which Hannah claimed was for her anxiety.

"If I could do it all over again, I would've just declared them as soon as I came on board," Hannah stated in an August 2020 interview with E! News. "It was definitely not something that was intentional. I wasn't trying to hide anything.

Below Deck Mediterranean 's Delaney Evans left just as quickly as she arrived. After initially being brought on during season six to help out Chief Stew Katie Flood , Katie determined that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one charter.

"I think she was overwhelmed with the situation, and I think that, you know, in her mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to what they had before," Delaney told Bravo Insider of Katie's decision. "I think she was just overwhelmed with everything that was going on and all the feedback she was getting."

Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit in over his head on season eight of Below Deck , as he was let go for failing to know basic skills, reporting late for duty and taking naps on the job.

Chaos in the kitchen led to Captain Lee Rosbach letting Chef Leon Walker go on season three of Below Deck . After an oven fire broke out , Lee placed the blame on Chief Stew Kate Chastain but was ultimately the one sent home.

Like several of the franchise's stars, Below Deck 's Chris Brown  was fired  during season five for failing to fully perform his duties. After being let go by Captain Lee, Chris shared some parting words as he left the boat, stating , "Who gives a s--t?"

Chef Mila Kolomeitseva was fired by Captain Sandy on season four of Below Deck Mediterranean after failing to use her cooking skills to produce top-quality food for guests—including some not-so-nice nachos .

"Of course it makes me feel awful," Mila said of her departure . "People like me who have big egos sometimes have to be put down to earth a little bit. But it makes me feel like I want to work even harder."

Sometimes people just don't work well together. That's exactly why Captain Lee fired Chandler Brooks during season six of Below Deck , telling the boson, "I don't think it's a good fit."

Below Deck Lost Two Crew Members In One Episode, And As A Fan I’m Honestly Shocked This Isn’t The First Time That Happened

This week saw a few castaways from the St. David crew.

Pictured in this screengrab: Jared Woodin

Well, it looks like there's a little more wiggle room down in the crew quarters of the St. David. That's because this week's episode of Below Deck (which you can catch up on with a Peacock subscription ) saw the shocking early departure of not one but two onboard staffers. However, what's even more surprising is that this isn't the first time that's happened in Bravo's yacht-focused reality franchise.

After that widely despised eighth season of Below Deck Mediterranean , it looks like the O.G. Below Deck decided to fire up the engines where the drama's concerned for Season 11, with both bosun Jared Woodin and stew Cat Baugh ending their charter seasons earlier. However, only one of those early exits was voluntary.

Joining a long line of fired Below Deck crew—including Captain Sandy's number one hater Hannah Ferrier , accidental mustard-gas concocter Elizabeth Frankini and the exhaustingly argumentative Lexi Wilson , among many others—Jared Woodin was fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge due to bad behavior in the March 18th episode on the 2024 TV schedule , titled "Cat's Out of the Bag." Jared's dismissal came after he drunkenly barged into a crew cabin and berated deckhand Kyle Stillie for spilling loose tobacco near the boat's hot tub.

During the episode, Captain Kerry said this about Jared's inappropriate, over-the-top reaction and poor treatment of his crewmate:

This is the second time you've gone on the piss and you've had bad behavior. You're in a leadership role. You can't be acting like that. You gotta be above the fray. The way that you're treating these guys is not acceptable, and we've had discussions, and I've tried to guide you, I've shown you compassion. But, you've got shit going on, mate. You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel.

The Aussie captain was sympathetic, however, to the mental struggles Jared was clearly going through, and he told him that remaining on the boat would be "a disservice" to his mental health.

The topic of having a "good headspace" while working onboard also came up for Cat Baugh, whose own unexpected departure came after the stewardess received a distressing call from a friend back home in America. Deciding to put her own mental health first and go be there for her friend, Baugh put in her resignation with chief stew Fraser Olender and Captain Kerry, both of whom were supportive of her decision. Baugh said of her exit:

I wish I could have stayed. But, the thing is, there's no way I could have. This is too much. I need to be with the people [who] need me, and also, on this boat, I'm at a breaking point. I need to protect my mental health. It's like my support system is at home, not here.

Losing two crew members in one episode is surprising, sure, but not unprecedented. On Below Deck Down Under , the Aussie spin-off of the reality series, bosun Luke Jones was fired by Captain Jason Chambers for drunken misconduct after trying to get in a stew's bed naked while she was inebriated and unconscious. Shortly after, stew Laura Bileskalne's contract was also terminated for making repeating unwanted advances on a male deckhand. Below Deck veteran Lee Rosbach praised Chambers's "superb" handling of the crew misconduct.

So, as you can see, while this situation was shocking to many, it's by no means the first time it's happened.

Despite the two exits, there's still plenty more Below Deck to go, so tune in to Season 11 on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo to see if there will be any more crew shake-ups aboard the St. David .

‘Below Deck’ Sails Into a New Era

With a different captain at the helm and new production elements, the reality show about charter yachts is switching up its style.

A man in a crew member suit stands behind a bar and tends to flowers in a vase.

By Shivani Gonzalez

Starting a new season of “ Below Deck ” can be similar to returning to summer camp as a kid — you know it’s going to be fun and that you’ll be in the same environment, but some of the people will be different and you’re not quite sure what the vibes will be.

This time around, in particular, feels that way because for the first time in the show’s 11-season run, Captain Lee Rosbach is no longer at the helm. It’s a pivotal moment for a franchise that has become one of the most popular entities in the sprawling universe of reality TV since premiering on Bravo in 2013 . The show’s appeal was built on endless romances between various crew members (“boatmances,” as they came to be known), horrible charter guests and some sort of passive-aggressive fight about how many shackles of the anchor chain should be in the water. And there was always Rosbach presiding over the drama as he trudged around the boat, reeling off one liners like “I’m madder than a pissed-on chicken” and “we screwed the pooch so many times we should have a litter of puppies running around.”

At the center of the show now is Kerry Titheradge (the stern yet goofy captain of “Below Deck Adventure” fame), who is managing the Motor Yacht Saint David with the cheeky chief stew Fraser Olender by his side.

With that change in captain, the energy on the boat — both onscreen and off — is different, according to Olender.

“Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” Olender said in an interview. “With Kerry, he taught me a lot and sort of forced to me confront issues directly with my team, work them out, as opposed to making executive decisions too soon.”

This shift in management style changes the central conflict — whereas the drama once focused on the captain swiftly kicking out any unpleasant crew member (as we might have seen with Rosbach), the drama now focuses on the whole crew trying to get along (since Titheradge gives people those second chances).

Additionally, Olender noted that the captain’s relationship with the crew can also affect the drama on board.

“Captains absolutely do get involved, whether they know it or not,” Olender said, adding that for the crew, everything is about “trying to impress your captain.”

This phenomenon plays out early in the new season when the lead deckhand, Ben Willoughby, called out a fellow crew member over the radios about not wearing a life vest — something he easily could have done in private. The drama that followed became an interpersonal conflict between the two of them, both with the ultimate goal of impressing Titheradge. (Of course, the two deckhands had kissed on the previous crew night out, which is more in line with the “Below Deck” drama viewers are used to.)

For “Below Deck” showrunners, the changeovers in the cast allowed them to rethink what the show would look like.

From the season premiere, it was immediately apparent that Rosbach’s absence wasn’t the only change this season: The filming is sleeker, the daily, multicourse meals prepared by the chef are given their own glamour shots and the cameras sometimes cut to the perspectives of yachties running around on deck and through the galley.

“Our showrunner, Lauren Simms, is an avid consumer of all different kinds of media,” Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, said in an interview. “She pitches us different ideas on how to stylistically evoke different feelings and change the mood a little bit of ‘Below Deck’ without removing what really works.”

Moving through the rest of the season, and potentially through seasons to come, Olender is aiming to bring a cutthroat management style while also bringing affection for his stews, all with his signature British humor.

On Bravo’s side, there are changes in the works for the other “Below Deck” spinoffs — including “Sailing Yacht,” “Mediterranean” and “Down Under” — which collectively, have 26 seasons. Specifically, Samton said that “Down Under” is currently filming and that even though fans should be ready to see new things, the show will stay true to its original concept.

“These are real yachties doing a real job so you have to stay within those confines because the audience isn’t going to want anything that is too produced or fake,” Samton said. “So we have to find ways to reinvent while staying true to the original concept of the show.”

And as Olender said: “I’m sure that every year if I were to work with this franchise again, that I’ll be thrown a collection of total chaotic and disastrous stews — that’s what makes it watchable.”

An earlier version of this article misquoted Fraser Olender, the chief stew of “Below Deck.” He said, “I also feel like Kerry this season. ... Lee has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him,” not “I feel like Kerry this season, as opposed to Lee, has a no B.S. attitude, which I love with him.”

Captain Kerry dishes on 2 dramatic Below Deck exits: 'Things were getting pretty hostile'

"That's probably the fastest departure in 'Below Deck' history."

Warning: This article contains spoilers for  Below Deck , season 11, episode 7, “Cat's Out of the Bag.”

Below Deck 's Captain Kerry Titheradge called Monday night’s episode a “corker” during a recent Instagram Live — and he wasn’t kidding.

During a single charter, two crew members left St. David; bosun Jared Woodin was fired and stew Cat Baugh left for personal reasons.

Tonight's episode, aptly named "Cat's Out of the Bag," saw Captain Kerry lowering the boom on Jared following a drunken altercation with deckhand Kyle Stillie. But the heated discussion in the crew mess wasn't the only reason Jared was let go. During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Captain Kerry shed more light on why he dismissed the bosun.

Though he anticipated firing Jared, he wasn't prepared for what he calls "the fastest departure in Below Deck history" when Cat needed to leave the boat immediately.

Below, Captain Kerry shares how his mental health journey and being on Below Deck Adventure changed who he is today and greatly impacted how he handled the two crew departures.

Fred Jagueneau/Bravo

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: I feel like there's been kind of a buildup this season to what happened on this episode. We've seen Jared not know his distances and get very emotional, and then poor Cat's been having a hard time as well. How soon into the season did you know they might be struggling?

CAPTAIN KERRY TITHERADGE: Off the bat, like day one. The thing is, you can know it, but also you try to change the direction. There were other crew [members] I was concerned about too — and that's going to come out in future episodes, where we were able to work with them, where they were getting to a point of breaking as well. So I don't know. I think when you've gone through something pretty emotional, it makes you more aware of where people are at.

You shared your story with Jared and you really connected with him, so I want to talk about him first because he seemed to unravel quite quickly from that one phone call that he couldn't get through, and then it came to a head in the crew mess after Kyle spilled tobacco near the hot tub and Jared let him have it. We've seen crew members go crazy on the boat and party and scream and yell. How bad was the fight between Jared and Kyle that it woke you up?

I mean, it woke me up. Things were getting pretty hostile. Again, this happened a while ago, so there's only so much we can actually show [on air], but I was aware of where he was at. I put pressure on Jared and I do it with all my guys... it's a yacht. I know there's a TV show behind it, but it's a yacht and I have standards, and my standards are that I'm not waking up to a mess in the hot tub. And I'm nice enough to not go up there straight away and check. I've seen other episodes of Jared running around in the morning making sure [everything is cleaned up]. So I mean, that's pressure I've put on him, but that's the pressure I'd put on anybody to make sure it's right.

So things are getting wound up. And really, Kyle has tobacco up there, I mean, if I would've seen it up there, [Kyle] probably would've gone home. Because you don't do loose tobacco in a hot tub. That stuff gets on a teak, it gets on the paintwork. It'll stain. So [Jared] had a good reason to be doing what he was doing, but he wasn't in the right state to be dealing with it at that time.

I watched it again, and I don't see all those steps. I just hear this noise. I was really woken up earlier. I want the crew to have a good time, but they shouldn't be having a good time at my expense.

So did you know that night you were probably firing [Jared] the next day?

I was already thinking through where he was at. And the problem is when you're on your last warning, people don't usually get past a second warning and survive because there's too much pressure. And I can see him struggling. And I've got reports that he was drinking that night and I told him to stop the piss. You're going through a lot of s--- right now, mate. And there were more conversations than what we can show. We don't have enough time.

But there were more times I spoke with him about going through what he's going through and getting his head straight and being in the game and that alcohol is not going to help you make the right decisions. It's going to make things worse. And he told me that he would back off the booze, and that was from that first crew party. When I saw him break the glass, I left. I'm like, man, I want the crew to have their fun. But the other thing that people aren't fully aware of is my responsibility as a captain isn't just what happens on the boat. So if my crew is getting too drunk and they hurt themselves on the beach or falling out of a cab, that's my responsibility.

Do you think Jared could have been drinking a little on charter?

If I would've smelled it, he would've been off the boat faster than Cat was. So it never entered my mind that that was happening. What was happening is you hit the booze hard and then the next day you're not going to function as well. And what I wasn't aware of was Ben undermining him. So he had to constantly deal with being undermined, keeping his head cool. He [couldn't get through to] his daughter, the job, me... he had pressure from everywhere,

And you really tried to work with him. I also have to ask, what was the deal with his [Wi-Fi] signal? I noticed he was on the boat, he couldn't get through to his daughter, but then he was on land trying to get through.

I've seen a bit of chatter about that online because they see me talking to my kids and then him not. I'm on the bridge. He's trying to contact his daughter down in his room. It's like being inside a high-rise or in a basement. So that could address that issue. I offered him to use my phone more than one time to speak to his child. In the last episode, he had an iPhone and his regular phone beside him. I don't know whether he borrowed a crew member's phone or what, but maybe it was the other side. Maybe other things were happening in Alaska that weren't lining up. Do you know what I mean?

I will say that was one of the most graceful firings I've seen on Below Deck . He was being fired, but in the end, he left feeling okay. So kudos to you.

I was worried about him. I'm getting a little emotional thinking about it. I'm going back there. I've been in that low spot where I don't know if I can find a way out of this.

I've been there and what did I do? I quit my job and I came ashore and painted houses. I got out of there. I had to put the ego aside. I'm running a 300-foot yacht. I'm in the pinnacle of my career. I'm in the Maldives. I've always wanted to be here. I've been working so hard to get there, and I've got to take care of this. I've got to be there for my kids. How hard it can be? So if I never had been there and we'd go to the Captain Kerry of 10 years ago, you'd see a different person talking. I wouldn't be as gentle. I'd be pissed off and I would've made his mental health worse because I would've just drilled him to the ground. "You'd let me down. You had the opportunity. You keep f---ing up." You know what I mean? That was the way that I grew up in the industry. The boat doesn't change for you. You change for the boat. And a big part of me changing is not only my experience in that, but when I shot [Below Deck] Adventure , I was already on that train of mental health and stuff, but also able to see myself and have that opportunity to see [myself] from someone else's perspective,

And then to see behind the scenes how that's affected somebody in a positive or negative manner. So the show in itself has made me a better captain, a better partner, a better father, a better human being.

Well, it shows. Have you talked to Jared since? How's he doing?

I got with him before the first episode because I didn't know how they were going to portray him, and I wanted to make sure he was okay. Just let him know, look man, I know you're in a bad headspace. Got any problems, give me a call. I got with Cat, but Jared was in town, so he came to my house. We went and got a burger. I invited Jared to the watch party last weekend.

So he's doing well. Did Jared say that firing him was probably the best thing you could've done for him?

A hundred percent. A hundred percent. And he brought his dad to come to my watch party and his dad thanked me.

And then we have Cat. We don't know exactly what it was, but it seems like whatever happened was horrific. What was going on there?

I knew that she was having challenges by just seeing her move around. I'm surprised by how much trouble she was having at the job and how gracious Xandi was in training her. But it breaks my heart to see how much Cat was crying. And then she would come out and have to put a brave face on.

But she was really struggling. And as soon as I found out that she was in that bad place, I mean, there's no editing there. I'm bringing the port control. I'm ringing local Coast Guard. I'm ringing everybody. I could just see it in her face. I didn't need to know what was going on. It didn't matter what it was. To her, it was catastrophic. And that's something else I've learned on my journey is that it's real to that person who's going through it. It doesn't matter if it doesn't affect you or how insignificant it may seem. It's real to them.

That's probably the fastest departure in Below Deck history.

So how is Cat doing?

She's having a hard time seeing herself where she's at. But she said she's in a pretty good headspace. And I've shown her support — I say, look, if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here.

I know you jumped in once you were down two crew members. You're washing dishes and everything, so you were very cool about it. But were you freaking out that you lost two people in one day?

No, because freaking out doesn't get the job done. So don't get me wrong. There's a big... like, okay, Kerry, did you think this through? [ Laughs ] But it wasn't for me to think through. These two people were in a place where their minds weren't on the job because they were having some mental health issues that we couldn't take care of on board.

Catch all the Below Deck deck drama on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Captain Kerry promises the drama continues, teasing that despite newly appointed bosun Ben Willoughby's strong performance, he, too, may encounter rough waters.

Here’s why Captain Jason Chambers called himself ‘naive’ about Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason Chambers on Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason Chambers quickly became a fan favorite from the moment he first appeared on Below Deck Down Under.

The hunky captain had Below Deck fans and his own crew members gushing over him.

The Bravo personality also didn’t realize how much his life would change from the show.

Boy, has it ever changed! That was proved more than ever at BravoCon last year when all the ladies wanted a piece of the hot captain.

As Below Deck Down Under fans anxiously wait for Season 3, Captain Jason has revealed his initial thoughts about the yachting franchise.

Here’s why Captain Jason Chambers thinks he was ‘naïve’ about Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason joined Below Deck’s Captain Lee Rosbach, Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Captain Glenn Shephard, Below Deck Med’s Captain Sandy Yawn, and Below Deck star Captain Kerry Titheradge to give some behind-the-scenes details on the hit yachting franchise.

When discussing how everyone got involved with their respective Below Deck shows, Captain Jason opened up about not realizing the yachting show was such a big deal before he joined it.

“I honestly think I was pretty naive. I didn’t think it was this big of a deal, you know,” Captain Jason expressed. “I don’t live in America. I do live in the Philippines.”

The captain spoke about how he ended up being cast on the latest Below Deck spin-off.

“I got a phone call about using the boat in Below Deck. Then they rang me and said you want to apply for being the captain. I was like, I was okay could be time for a change,” he dished.

All five captains opened up about safety and the struggles of working on a yacht while also filming a reality TV show.

Hint: the biggest challenge is getting the production team on and off the yacht safely, even if the weather conditions are not great.

What do we know about Below Deck Down Under Season 3?

Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under put the show on the map due to Captain Jason and his trusty chief stew, Aesha Scott. How they dealt with Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne earned them mad props and took the show to a whole new level.

Since Below Deck Down Under ended last fall without any reunion, fans have been waiting to hear news about Season 3. In December, Captain Jason revealed that Below Deck Down Under Season 3 hadn’t even filmed yet.

Well, the good news is that according to Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, the season is currently filming or was at the time he spoke with The New York Times.

We don’t know exactly what that means in terms of when the show will air, other than the fact that it likely won’t be until the end of this year or early next year.

Some fans have voiced concern that Aesha won’t be involved because she’s been all over social media lately. In fact, Aesha just shared a life-changing moment with her boyfriend, Scotty Dobson.

Captain Jason Chambers didn’t talk at all about the next season in the video with the other captains, but hopefully, we will hear some news soon.

The timing of the captain’s video comes hot on the heels of Monsters and Critics reporting that Below Deck fans have named Captain Jason their favorite.

Below Deck Down Under is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Peacock.

A Great Chief Stew Keeps 'Below Deck' Afloat

We love our 'Below Deck' Chief Stews!

The Big Picture

  • Chief Stews like Kate Chastain keeps Below Deck exciting with vibrant personalities and skills.
  • Fans have seen stews rise to become chief stews, like Aesha Scott and Fraser Olender.
  • The chief stew is essential to the success of the franchise, serving as the lifeline of the charter season.

While the captain may be steering the boat, it's the chief stew that keeps the yacht going! On Below Deck and its various spin-offs, fans have always taken a liking to Chief Stew. Whether it's figuring out how to make the impossible possible or handling the worst of the worst guests, the chief stew keeps Below Deck exciting . Some of the best in the reality show franchise have included Kate Chastain , Aesha Scott , and Fraser Olender . Their vibrancy and skills have kept viewers coming back for more , and dreaming of a chance to attend one of their amazing yacht parties!

Since the flagship series debuted on Bravo in 2013, Below Deck has been a fans' chance to get an inside glimpse of work life on the high seas. Spawning four spin-off series, Below Deck has been sailing strong as one of the top franchises on the network. Each series follows a crew of yachties as they spend a season chartering the highfalutin through exotic and picturesque locales. Displaying the on and off the super yacht antics, fans have fallen in love with the various cast members who have brought their work to the screen. Each charter features a captain who leads the crew. The exterior team comprises a bosun, sometimes a first officer, and a handful of deckhands. In the interior, the team comprises a series of stewardesses or stewards, led by the chief stewardess, lovably known as the chief stew. Throughout the various series of Below Deck , fans often have found their closest bond to the chief stew as they tend to be the most hands-on with the charter guests, handling their wild and outlandish requests. As proven season after season, a good chief stew keeps the ship's sanity and the program sailing. And it seems the c hief stews with the longest tenures have stood the test of time thanks to their rapport with both the crew and the guests , all while maintaining a confident and professional demeanor.

Kate Chastain Is the Gold Standard of Chief Stews Across 'Below Deck'

Even though Captain Lee Rosbach has been the longest-lasting cast member in the Below Deck cinematic universe, it is Kate Chastain who has seemingly been the face of the franchise. And for good reason! Joining the crew during Below Deck Season 2, Kate didn't necessarily have big shoes to fill. Like any great reality television program, the first season of the franchise had some major growing pains to overcome. As viewers had to learn just how life on a super yacht works, they were introduced to a cast of characters that were tasked to balance work and filming a reality show. In Season 1, fans saw the interior led by Adrienne Gang , who spent the season struggling to cement power among her team and bond with the rest of the yachties. She was super serious and often lacked a personal connection. In the real world, she would likely be a top tier hire, but she just didn't click for the program. For Season 2, she was replaced with Kate, and while it took some time for her to grow a working relationship with Captain Lee and Chef Ben Robinson , fans were taken by her snark and her ability to keep things exciting. Maybe she didn't always do things appropriately. Just look back at the "rocket ship" blanket. What she did was keep things entertaining for the guests and the fans.

‘Below Deck's' David Bradberry Discusses Sexual Exploitation by Abercrombie & Fitch ex-CEO

Kate Chastain has become the gold standard for Chief Stews on Below Deck , no matter which version. Though she has passed her stripes over to new stews, Kate was a part of the flagship program from Season 2 through Season 7. Season after season, Kate has had a revolving door of stews working for her. And not all of them were the best. Kate was determined to be a professional manager, even if her employees could not work at her standards. Kate has had some gold star stews. While she did have a rocky start with Amy Johnson on Below Deck Season 2, they were a formidable pair a season later. Emily Warburton-Adams was a saint for Kate during Season 4. Despite some distractions during Season 5, Brianna Adekeye was the dream 2nd Stew for Kate. But her greatest bond was with a male stew on Season 6, Josiah Carter , who was a professionally trained butler. But for every Amy, Emily, Brianna, or Josiah, Kate suffered with some drama queens. It seems that for every good stew, there was one bad stew on the interior. How Kate was able to keep sane while handling Rocky Dakota in Season 3 is anybody's guess. Had there not been so much drama with the sudden crew turnaround,

Kate Had Run-insWith both Crew and Guests

Rocky would likely have been fired. Instead, Kate bit her tongue as best she could while Rocky stepped in as chef, pouring grenadine on oysters, becoming a boy magnet, toying with ever-so-sweet Emile Kotze , and being a homewrecker to fan favorite Eddie Lucas ' relationship. Season 5 was a season of unfortunate mistakes, as a good portion of the crew lacked experience. And such was the case with Jennifer Howell . Jen, a wonderful mother, was quite lazy and did nothing but irk Kate, who was forced to micromanage everything Jen needed to do. With Josiah being a near-perfect employee for Kate, she had trouble with 3rd Stew Caroline Bedol . Between her bed rest due to her foot injury and giving a two-day notice that turned into a few hours, Caroline was more of a burden and couldn't handle the pressure. Sadly for Kate, Caroline was replaced by Laura Betancourt , who was nothing but a know-it-all and tried to go toe-to-toe with Kate, who immediately put her in her place. Her previous Chief Stew status was nothing on Kate. No matter who Kate had on her team, she managed to succeed, charter after charter. Captain Lee adored Kate, trusting her with everything that needed to be done.

Viewers Should Pay Attention to 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen'

Whether it was the Caribbean or Tahiti, Kate was faced with some of the most incredulous charter guests. And some of those guests came back for more! Part of why these wealthy guests had a desire to return was the experience on board. Their onboard experience can only be credited to the work that Kate and her various teams provided. Oftentimes, she was able to make the impossible possible. One of the most prominent recurring guests was the infamous Dean Slover . Of course, Kate and Mr. Slover came to form their love-hate bond thanks to her phallic-shaped folded blanket on his bed. While Captain Lee was furious and was fearful that it would lead to a reduced tip, Dean Slover was a lover of the joke, and expected an artistic gift on his bed during every charter he was on. He became her charter soulmate as they developed a shorthand.

Unlike Chef Ben who was always receiving a lashing due to the specifically timed meals. Parties are essential on charters. Most of the time they were reasonable, but when the foam wasn't foaming, Kate had to make it up. His appearance in Season 3 was a headache for the crew, so when his name came up during the Season 6 preference sheet meeting, Kate was already prepared. Despite that, his rowdy and demanding behavior resulted in another problematic trip. His flirtatious nature went beyond appropriate, and Kate sadly let her stew stay in the line of fire. No matter what, she's Kate the Great! And Below Deck fans were saying," we told you so," after her two-season star turn on The Traitors .

Fans Have Watched Stews Turn Into Chief Stews Before Their Eyes

Rising in the ranks is true in any industry. Not every chief stew starts on Below Deck in the top position. Fans have been allowed to watch some of their favorites develop on the show, and turn into stews before their eyes as they are hired as chief stews on future seasons, or even future franchises! One of the absolute fan-favorite cast members in the Below Deck cinematic universe is Aesha Scott . The bubbly and high-energy New Zealander first came to fame in the fourth season of Below Deck Mediterranean . She was a hard worker, dedicated to her craft. However she did find love on the open seas. And when trouble was bubbling under the water in Season 5, Aesha was called in to serve as a replacement. As a fan favorite, Aesha was tapped to lead her own Below Deck spin off, serving as the chief stew for seasons 1 and 2 of Below Deck Down Under .

Now at the top of the Stew food chain, Aesha, once again, proved why she is one of the most beloved yachties in Below Deck history. Aesha was personable with everyone, even if she had a troublemaker in the galley with Chef Ryan McKeown . Her bond with Captain Jason Chambers mirrored the close bond Kate Chastain had with Captain Lee. Fans often speculated a budding romance between Aesha and Captain Jason. It was a relationship they wanted to ship off the ship. Aesha was a team player and encouraged the best from her team. She was so strong at her job, she even brilliantly trained a future chief stew, Tumi Mhlongo , who would journey over to Below Deck Mediterranean for Season 8. Though unlike Aesha, Tumi was much stricter, turning off some Below Deck fans in the process.

Andy Cohen Is Right, Don't Come On 'Housewives' If You Have Something to Hide

Below Deck reflects the real world of yachting, displaying what life aboard a yacht might be like in the real world. In general, gender roles play greatly into the employment of certain positions in the yachting industry. On Below Deck Mediterranean , Captain Sandy Yawn was the ferocious first female captain in the Below Deck franchise. She came in with a purpose, to prove that it doesn't have to be in a male-dominated position. While Below Deck did have male stewards, history was made during Season 10 when Fraser Olender became the first male chief stew. And he has proven that he is the official new face of the flagship franchise. Originally joining the crew as a second stew during Season 9, Fraser proved his worth and his ability, so that Captain Lee invited him to serve as the chief stew on the St. David. As fans remember, Captain Lee had a difficult tenth season as he struggled with some severe nerve issues. He had to temporarily leave the charter season to get better. And who better to serve as his substitute than Captain Sandy?

Even though both Captain Sandy and Fraser were groundbreaking when it came to historic hires for Below Deck , they were at odds often during her tenure. She even broke him down to the point where he seemed like a sad puppy trying to do right. Despite that, Fraser was a seasoned professional and ensured that his guests had the best experiences possible. Fraser has an impeccable work ethic, yet still finds a way to entertain himself and his fellow crew. His bond with Chef Rachel Hargrove and stew Haley De Sola Pinto always found a way to let steam off, enjoying the experience in the process. He may not be as strict as Kate was, but like Kate, he's had some terrible stews under him. He somehow managed to handle the mess that was Camille Lamb and Alissa Humber drama during Season 10. For Below Deck , Season 11 was a major transition season as it marked the first season without Captain Lee fully at the helm. Captain Kerry Titheradge transitioned over from Below Deck Adventure to take over. With a new captain, it made sense that Fraser returned as Chief Stew. Below Deck is in more than capable hands with Fraser Olender. His legacy is just beginning.

Below Deck is a beloved Bravo series. And it's thanks to some of the brilliant characters the fans have met along the way. In the history of the franchise, there have been many more other Chief Stews that have been monumental and could easily be discussed in this article. Good thing that the franchise isn't going anywhere anytime soon! Without a great Chief Stew, the charter season would fail. And with a failed season, comes a bad season on Below Deck . The chief stew is the lifeline of the franchise.

Below Deck airs on Mondays on Bravo. It's available to stream on Peacock the next day.
