Sidney North Saanich Yacht Club

SNSYC was founded in 1981 by a group of individuals interested in boating. From the outset it was friendly and unpretentious, providing an affordable and accessible club serving the powerboat and sailboat communities. The club has about 660 members and a very active Junior Program. The Clubhouse is a distinctive former heritage home, providing club members with a casual atmosphere, with a full service bar and dining room for members, guests, and reciprocal yacht club members. Our reciprocal dock is located at North Saanich Marina on the west shore of Tsehum Harbour.

Full Service Marina Just 20 minutes from Victoria, BC

North Saanich Marina is one of the preferred ports for exploring the warm waters off southern Vancouver Island. The innumerable storybook anchorages of the Gulf Islands are at our doorstep. Protected inlets and bays lie to the north and around the south end of the Island. Nanaimo is a day trip away. The San Juan Islands are just across that invisible border. Fishing at the south end of Vancouver Island is rewarding and you are in the territory of the Southern Resident Orca. There are lots of villages to visit and a couple of fair-sized cities. All easily reached from our marina, set in protected Shoal Harbour in Sidney.

North Saanich Marina provides guest and permanent moorage at our well-maintained, secure docks for vessels up to 70 feet. Potable water, 15 or 30 amp power, free wifi and ample free parking are included. Gas and diesel are sold. Let our friendly staff assist you in docking your boat. You will find ice, oil, snacks, boat cleaning products and tackle for sale right at the fuel dock. We have a yacht club on site for the sociable sailor.

If you live inland and want to keep your boat on the BC coast, we are an ideal location. Victoria International Airport is 10 minutes away, the ferry from Vancouver 5 minutes. And we have all of the services needed to make sure your boat is ready when you want it. Join our many Victoria and south Island clients who trust our security and enjoy our commitment to service excellence.

As a division of Oak Bay Marine Group, we offer our annual moorage customers exclusive access to all4 of our Island Marinas! Ask us about our Reciprocal Moorage Program and enjoy 5 marinas for the price of one. We celebrated our 50 th anniversary in 2015.

Stop over here on your way up the Island. There is plenty of shopping and hospitality in nearby Sidney. Stay a few days to fish, watch whales or enjoy family fun at area beaches and marine parks. The seas in our area are enjoyed year round, with good sailing days in every month. Come in the summer and tell tales; come in the winter and create them.

Our hours and services:

• We are serving marina customers by phone and email, office hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm daily, fuel dock hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm daily
• Occupancy is limited to 2 customers in the office at a time.
• All guest moorage requests are open to Southern Vancouver Island Residents only until further notice (this does not apply to existing monthly and annual customers; this is for short stays only.)

North Saanich Marina is one of southern Vancouver Island’s favourite home ports for sailing and boating in Canada’s Gulf Islands, the US San Juan Islands and beyond. The marina is set in protected Shoal Harbour in Sidney, BC, 20 minutes from Victoria, and has ample free parking available in several large parking lots right beside the docks. Annual moorage customers enjoy access to all four Oak Bay Marine Group marinas.

Familiar..friendly..just became members looking forward to clean free from covid to enjoy adventures with new friends..

We had our wedding at the yacht club and we could not be happier. Brian Taylor was absolutely amazing to deal with. He is professional, organized and his hard work helped so much with our special day. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our venue was and how amazing the food was also. Rico is such a fabulous chef! Even creating and paying with recipes for those with food sensitivities. Our experience was truly fantastic and would highly recommend the yacht club and it’s staff! Thank you !

Stunning views. Went for a wedding & it was picture perfect day. I would suggest however bringing in a cater you love. I didn't enjoy the tacos & potato salad at such an event. I was expecting a nice sit down dinner not buffet style picnic foods.
