SUPERSTAR Yacht for Sale

The 112’ (34.14m) SUPERSTAR is a 2001 build by Westport. The raised pilothouse superyacht, with naval architecture penned by Jack Sarin, underwent a major refit in 2019 and 2020, including a main engine and bow windlass rebuild, new bow thruster and all new galley appliances, as well as several aesthetic upgrades.

SUPERSTAR is a semi-displacement superyacht with a composite hull. She can reach a maximum speed of 24 knots, cruising comfortably at 20. She benefits from Naiad Stabilizers, ensuring a smooth journey while underway. She has a 2,000 nautical mile range. Impressively for her size, she has a remarkably shallow draft at just 5’6” (1.6m).

SUPERSTAR can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests across four well-appointed cabins, with an additional three cabins for five crew members. Located midships, her full-beam master cabin features a centerline king berth with a his-and-hers bathroom separated with a full walk-in shower. Her guest cabins include a VIP stateroom located in bow with a queen bed centerline, alongside two at midships: one queen, one twin, each with its own en-suite.

Her marine-inspired interior features a palette of blues and light neutrals, with warm woods creating an elegant contrast. This theme can be found throughout. Her main salon features a pop-up television, two plush sofas to starboard with coffee table and a formal dining table for up to eight guests. Of course, she enjoys ample storage for china to both port and starboard, and, thanks to large windows, is bright and luminous with beautiful views. A bar to port completes the set-up, creating a convivial, casual atmosphere. Large doors provide access to her aft deck.

It's here that guests will enjoy an alfresco bar and dining area with a custom high-gloss teak dining table with seating for up to 8. Open on three sides and undercover, this space is protected from the elements, however, above, her flybridge is arguably the most popular space onboard, with a Jacuzzi, plush sofas and bar with bar stools.

Walkthrough.

Boarding Superstar can be from midship and or swim platform. 

Boarding from the swim plat form you find teak decks and teak stairs both port and starboard going up to the aft deck. Her transom features a centerline water tight door giving access to the crew quarters and engine room.

Once on the aft deck you will find a slightly curved u-shaped seating area with a large teak table. A bar to port with sink, undercounter refrigerator and ice maker.

To starboard, stairs to the upper boat deck. A custom teak compass rose is inlayed in the teak deck. Double stainless sliding doors open to the salon.

Inside the salon you have a bar to port with four bar chairs. To starboard, two sofas with a coffee table. A pop up television in a custom cabinet forward of the bar. TV once in the up position will swivel. Storage cabinets both port and starboard. Forward part of the salon features a formal dining area for eight guests.

Mid ship on the main deck has stone floors for her mid ship entry both port and starboard. Starboard companion way takes you forward past the day head to access to the pilot house and then forward to the galley and VIP stateroom.

All new stone countertops have been installed in the salon and galley. The galley is a country kitchen design featuring a large u-shaped settee forward to port. Her working galley has all stainless appliances and plenty of storage.

Forward to starboard a staircase takes you down to the VIP stateroom with a centerline queen berth. Large closet and drawers with a en-suite head and shower.

Back on the main deck the port companionway going forward from the salon takes you down to the master stateroom and the additional two guest staterooms.

The master stateroom is full beam with a centerline king berth. Walk in cedar closet aft to starboard. Settee to starboard. Drawers both port and starboard. Forward is his and her heads connected by a huge walk-in shower.

From the lower foyer looking aft you find the two guest staterooms both with in-suite heads and showers. Port stateroom is a queen. Starboard features twin that can slide together to make a queen.

Back at the starboard midshipman foyer you go up to the pilot house. The early designed Westport 112’ feature access to the pilot house from both port and starboard. This feature was removed in later vessels. A large settee aft with a table is a great area to enjoy while underway. A complete helm area with great visibility and a well layout electronics package.

From the pilot house you access the flybridge thru a glass sliding door. The flybridge features a main helm on center with wing controls port and starboard.

A bar to port with fixed bar stools. Sink, under-counter refrigerator and ice maker. To starboard there is seating and a table.

Going aft to port a hot tub with a sun pad cover. A 2000lb crane to port for lifting and launching toys. Two jet-skis are mounted on the aft part of the boat deck.  

To starboard stair access back down to the aft deck.

On the aft deck to starboard access to the crew quarters and engine room. Down a curved staircase to a crew lounge, forward a watertight door take you into the engine room.

A captains cabin with en-suite head and shower to port. Two crew cabins starboard share a head. Storage area and access to the rudders under stairs going up through the watertight door to the swim platform.

Superstar features rebuilt MTU 16V2000 main engines with approx. 350 hours since her major overhaul. Her current owners have replaced the bow thruster, rebuilt and serviced the Naiad stabilizers, replaced the bow windlass, and the stovetop in the galley. All new stone in the salon and galley areas. Backlit stone and custom shelves add a sense of glamor as part of the formal dining area in the salon.

Superstar is just that! She is ready to go cruising with her new owner.

WESTPORT YACHTS FOR SALE

Westport Shipyard is well-known as an American favorite for superyacht builders. Institutionalized in the Pacific Northwest, Westport yachts are recognized for their standards in speed, draft, seakeeping abilities and range.

HISTORY OF WESTPORT YACHTS

Westport was founded in 1964 as a builder of commercial fishing boats. The shipbuilder delivered over 170 fishing vessels plus 35 other commercial vessels designed to overcome the challenges of the waters in the Pacific Northwest.

Westport started building recreational superyachts in the early 1980’s. At this time, they delivered several vessels in the 90’ range. The largest builds in 1987 were two 118’ Westport Yachts.

In 1988, the company delivered the 98’ Jack Sarin designed yacht GOLDEN DELICIOUS. The 98’ was built under the newly formed Westship brand for a Florida Hatteras dealer who wanted to build larger yachts for his Hatteras clients. This design was the pre-cursor for what would become one of the most popular “megayachts” in history, the 112’ Westport motoryacht.

The RISE OF WESTPORT YACHTS

How the 112' evolved to 117', the evolution of the 112' westport.

Westport decided that there was merit to building a series yacht on speculation and in 1992 teamed up with Orin Edson , the founder of Bayliner Boats. Edson purchased the company to start a production series yachts. The first yachts built were 108’ but were soon lengthened to 112’, allowing for a larger aft deck and crew quarters.

Known for their easily driven, shoal draft hulls, Westports became popular with East Coast yachtsman who wanted to explore the Bahamas. The 112’ Westport has gone through three major re-designs, with the latest being introduced in 2019. Westport Yachts are now up to hull #70 of the 112’.

New for 2020 is a design based on the 112’ hull but stretched to 117’ to accommodate the newly popular “beach-club”. In addition, the 117’ (35m) Westport features an on-deck stateroom, 4 guest staterooms below, a modified galley and flybridge arrangement and has moved the crew quarters from aft to the more traditional, crew forward, in the bow area.

HOW THE 130' became known as the 40m westport

The second most popular Westport model is the 130’ (40m). The first 130’ Westport was delivered in 2000. Westport delivered 29 in total (although 1 has since been destroyed by fire), before re-designing and launching the new “40m” design in 2011.

This design, while using the same 6’ draft hull form, has a larger Skylounge, larger sun-deck and modified on-deck master suite lay-out. The company still produces the 40m and to date have built 15 of this model.

In 2015, against a back-drop of slower orders for the company, it was decided to utilize the 130’ hull form, dam the mould and produce a “raised pilothouse” 125’ with full beam on-deck master stateroom, plus 4 guest staterooms below. Currently, Westport is up to hull 7 of this model, with hull #1, launched as BLACK GOLD , being the first re-sale.

Rebranding the 130' to the 40m

The 50m and beyond, 50m westports and beyond.

Another popular series in Westport’s line-up is the 164’ (50m), of which 14 have been built.

Westport has recently re-styled and updated the 50m to 52m, to again accommodate the ever popular “beach-club”, but still under the 500GT threshold.

Other features include a fixed “Balcony” in the on-deck master suite.
