Walkthrough [ edit ]

- When you first appear here, you will be inside the narrow corridor.
- Duck or jump over the Eerie coming towards you, but be sure to face the Boos so they don't ambush you. Afterwards, you will need to lure the Big Boo away so you can pass him and continue onwards.
- The wall of Boos may look dangerous, but in practice sprite overload will keep most of them from appearing, meaning you can just spin jump off the remaining ones to continue.

- The Eeries here move in a wavy pattern, so if you jump you might get hurt by them. Again, due to sprite overload, you might only see two or three of them.
- In the large hall, the right ? block contains a feather. Enter the door at the end to get to the second area.
- If you thought about flying up above the wall to get on top of the corridor, it is possible but you'll need to do it from the ledge at the left to get enough height to clear the wall. It skips a large portion of the level, so you can just enter one of the two doors on top of the corridor.

- You'll have to deal with a Boo ceiling here that swoops down on you in this area. Keep moving or the Boos will get you.
- The ? block flying towards you contains a flower. Later on, the stationary ? block contains a feather.

- Small Mario can hit the turn block at the very bottom for a 1-up mushroom.
- The visible door is a trap that leads back to the beginning. Instead, grab the P-Switch and jump through the coins to the very end. Step on it and a hidden door will appear.
- The hidden door leads back to the beginning as well, but this time you will be on top of the corridor. Go to the left and enter the first door you see to find the exit.
Secret Exit [ edit ]
The secret exit is rather straightforward. Once on top of the corridor, get past the first door that leads to the normal exit. Near the end (obscured by the Big Boo on the map) there's a second door which leads to the secret exit.
Note that if you have already unlocked the path from Forest of Illusion 1 to the Forest Ghost House, taking the secret exit has no effect, but it still counts towards your totals so you should complete it at least once.
Dragon Coin locations [ edit ]
The five Dragon Coins in this level are located as follows:
- On top of the corridor, past the normal exit.
- In the large hall, between the ? blocks.
- The other three are in plain sight in the room with the Boo ceiling.

Forest Ghost House
The Forest Ghost House is one of many Ghost Houses in Super Mario World , located in the Forest of Illusion . It can be accessed through the completion of Forest of Illusion 3 , or the secret exit completion of Forest of Illusion 1 . By completing this level through the regular door, the player gains access to Forest of Illusion 4 . By exiting through the door on the very left, which the Big Boo blocks, the player gains an alternative route to Forest of Illusion 1 .
Overview [ edit ]

At the beginning of the level, the player starts off in a long corridor, with a door at the end of it. The player takes this door and enters a simple room that is guarded with flying ghost enemies ( Boos and Eeries ). There are flying boxes here that often contain a Cape Feather or, if Mario or Luigi is in Small form , Super Mushroom , but they are risky to obtain as the ghosts usually swarm around the player too fast for him or her to avoid them. There is a Switch Block resting on an easy to reach ledge ahead of the player, but the player must keep going past the yellow door and into a small area with a line of coins above it. After the player collects at least one coin, the player must return to collect the Switch Block, turning all of the coins into blocks, and exit through the silver door .
Then the player simply runs along the corridor, and the player has the opportunity to either enter or skip over the first yellow door they come across. If the player enters this door, the level will be cleared, but if the player passes it and exits through the next yellow door, the player finds a 3-Up Moon resting on the floor. The level will be cleared.

Walkthrough: World Five
Forest of Illusion

The Forest of Illusion is something of a maze. Whereas finding keys and alternate gates was something of a bonus before, now it will be necessary if you wish to pass further on. In Forest of Illusion 1, the key isn¿t all that hard to find. About halfway through the level you will pass on a log shaped platform above a keyhole with a Question Mark Block above it. No big surprise here, the key is in that block. Using a flying Yoshi will make your life easier in reaching the keyhole, however there is a P-Balloon in the Question Mark Block located at the end of the log platform, and you can grab the balloon and easily float back to the keyhole. Going through the main gate will open up Forest of Illusion 2, while getting the key will open up the Forest Ghost House.
Finding the key in Forest of Illusion 2 can be a little tricky, but its very important since it will provide access to the Blue Switch palace. About three quarters of the way through the level, you will be required to swim down for a bit. At the bottom of the dive there will be a yellow block. The wall to the left of the yellow block is fake, or if not fake, part of the background, meaning you can walk through it. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here¿s a picture of the location in question¿
The Forest Ghost House is a little tricky. In order to continue progress through the Forest, you will want to beat it this specific way. At the end of the second segment of the House, you will find a blue P-Block. Don¿t smash it yet! Instead carry it past the first pit with a row of overhead coins. Once you are in the second pit with overhead coins, feel free to smash the P-Block and quickly pass through the blue door that appears to the far right. You will find yourself walking along the roof of the first segment. Keep going to the left and go through the first door you find. Go through the gate and you will unlock Forest of Illusion 4.

In Forest of Illusion 3, the key isn¿t all that hard to find, however you will need to be big to get it. Almost at the end of the level there is a very tall green pipe. If you go down this pipe, you will find the key surrounded by yellow bricks that can be broken with you¿re A-Button jump when you are big. The key will give you access to Roy¿s castle.
In Forest of Illusion 4, once again you will need to find the key. To do this one you will need either a cape or a Yoshi. A little past the mid-level gate there is a half length blue pipe suspended in the air. Going down this pipe will yield the key. However, getting to the top of the pipe is a little tricky. Using a cape, you can jump from the highest point to the left, or you may jump off of Yoshi¿s back in mid air.
Roy¿s Castle is tough, but Roy is not. He is one of the easier bosses in the game. Just quickly stomp on his head three times. If your quick you can get all three in before he climbs the wall. For your viewing pleasure, here¿s the complete Forest of Illusion¿
