Outward ghost pass location - secret legendary chest.
Outward takes some of the key principles behind such modern classics as is Breath of the Wild and applies them to a PC RPG title - various secret loot included. Outward Ghost Pass , for example, has a secret Legendary Chest!
Outward Ghost Pass Legendary Chest can be found to the East, starting from the central mountain of the game map, and here, you're going to find out what sort of stuff you can expect as you make your way through the Ghost Pass.
Outward Ghost Pass Secret Legendary Chest Location
In Outward, Ghost Pass is an abandoned dungeon-like construct that's perpetually dark. Not that various signs of a struggle and ample amounts of spilt blood aren't helping set the mood, either. Expect numerous ethereal skeletons and other assorted enemies, so it would be smart to come well-equipped.
The easiest way to go about looting the Legendary Chest of Ghost Pass is to allow one of the ethereal enemies to take you down, which will result in you subsequently waking up in their dungeon. You'll have no choice but to fight your way out, and when you finally reach the exit from this dungeon (you'll recognise it by a prominent door with a blue light shining above it), go in the opposite direction until you reach another large room, the centerpiece of which will be the Legendary Chest.
This will contain some substantially powerful loot, including weapons and armour, and at least a few of these pieces will come in handy in your future travels.

You join the faction in hallowed marsh location, Monsoon city. Warning - if you join this faction the scourge type enemies(the ugly undeadish monsters mostly) will hate you even more and won't tolerate you at all in some cases(friendly immaculate in the cave of Chersonese becomes hostile too) This means they will lose aggro even slower against you.
Be aware that once you join this faction or any other faction - a countdown to destruction of Cierzo begins, you have around 20 days to save it by getting rid of 3 warlords in Chersonese Vendavel Fortress.(You can accept the quest by going into Cierzo)
Main faction rewards are -
A +20 decay resist passive(can choose not to take it, but it's better to take it, you get loot if you choose other option)..
A choice between ethereal/decay/lightning damage type damage boost or stamina/mana cost reduce by 10% passives.
Possibility to get both the +8 weather resists and +2 protection passive.
Unique faction armor(a heavy armor with fire/lightning resist)
A +20 health/stamina/mana potion when you finish the main quest(this is reward for all factions)
You can join faction when you have 'looking for the future' quest on you and you are asked to join one of the factions. Go inside the Elatt's altar in Monsoon and talk with the guy there - he will ask you to help one of the 3 people - it doesn't matter which of those mini quests you complete and you can only complete one of them(and only need 1 of them) so just pick whichever is easier for you.
Afterwards you need to wait 3 days to get your 1st faction quest - Questions and Corruption it will start by burning greasy fern on an altar very close to monsoon entrance - head directly east and up the cliff near the gate where bandits are. Greasy fern should also grow close to the altar there.
After you are done you will get an actual quest - cleanse the corruption from the tomb in Chersonese.
To get to the tomb you need to get past the Ghost Pass(more info on it in Chersonese section)... once you do get to the catacombs - you can just run forward and you will see Olielle trying to dispel the barrier and asking you for help. You agree and are off to search a way to remove the barrier. Eventually you stumble upon a talking skull who asks to assemble him(you have choice to destroy him, not sure what that does, since I helped him, but I assume it just lets you skip the skeleton finding entirely and kill him in the process.Body parts should be relatively easy to find and enemies(aside of wendigo in the beginning bottom of the ice area are all relatively easy) If you miss an 'arm somewhere high up' - from the dungeon entrance go to the right(to the section in which you eventually find skeleton, all his parts are in this section) then choose the leftmost path up the cliff and then follow it until your only choice is to drop down - skeleton arm is there.
After getting all skeleton parts - assemble him and he will help you out unlocking the door. Olielle will summon 3 skeletons you need to fight against and then transform as part of the quest. The quest is complete now. Return to Monsoon and accept your reward - you will be offered to pass up on the blessing, make sure you choose to get the blessing - giving it to Olielle instead gives some minor loot only.
After the quest is done you need to wait another 3 days... You will be tasked with yet another quest afterwards - Doubts and Secrets.
The goal of the quest is to travel to berg and talk with some NPCs there.. afterwards you can optionally find one of the priests in the hive cave southeast of the forest map and then proceed with going back to Monsoon. Once you get there - Olielle will get into jail for killing someone. It's up to you to help her out. I just bribed the guy with 200 silver and he let her out easily. Not sure what happens if you choose any other option.
After this quest is done - you get to choose 1 blessing(passives) out of 2 possible - decay/ethereal/lightning damage up(10 %) and stamina/mana consumption reduced by 10%, both are decent choices.
Afterwards you need to wait 3 days again.
Next quest is called Truth and Purpose.
First you talk with Ellinara to get quest, she sends you to slums in Levant city to find Oliele. It's not hard to do so, so do just that.
Now Oliele will ask which place you want to explore out of 3 - there is one correct place and that's the Stone Titan Caves. Visiting other places gives you very small bits of lore and nothing else.
For what to expect in Stone Titan Caves - check my Abrassar desert section.
Once you are done in Stone Titan Caves - you get a tablet(won't appear in inventory), you need to translate it.. and also get back to monsoon... luckily the one to translate it is there as well. So go to Monsoon, give the tablet to Mofat(npc not far from player house) and you get the tablet translated.
Now talk to Oliele and proceed with going to altar.
Now you are tasked to find rebel priests.
To find the lotus entrance that is mentioned in quest - look my map of hallowed marsh, you will see where it is.
Once you are inside, you can negotiate with priests and there are 3 outcomes that you can end up with:
1) Fail to negotiate - the worst case scenario, you only get some better than average loot from the priests and Templar rank as reward.
2) Partial success - prevent rebel, but priests leave holy mission. Not sure if you get templar or champion. You also get passive called Acceptance - 8 hot/cold weather defence.
3) Complete success - prevent rebel, priests stay as holy mission. This guarantees Champion rank(and unique armor called candle plate armor - very bulky heavy armor and heavy protection vs fire and lightning) as well as gives passive called Sanctified Protection - +2 protection. You also get Acceptance passive, so that's 2 passives in one go.
Obviously - the reward you want is pretty obvious in this case - the complete success.. and I will tell you what to choose to get it so you won't need to go through trial and error:
Starting with the first real choice - pick options 1-2-2.
Talk with Oliele, then return to temple in monsoon to get the rest of the rewards.
Now, you can guess what awaits... YEP, another 3 days of waiting before starting next quest.
If the time passed - you are ready for the final and the longest quest, the Hallowed Peacemaker. Start by talking with inquisitor in the temple and he will give you the quest to find out about prisoners. Now go to town hall and talk with the prison guard there. You can pursuade him if you are champion by telling him that you are or just pay him 90 silver and he will talk.
Next you need to find the prisoners - they are in the flooded cellar. It's located near the mark on the map which says 'ancient ruins', the entrance is in one of the ruins partially submerged in the rancid water. Once you are inside - kill some levant thugs and rescue prisoners. Then off you go back to monsoon to talk with inquisitor.
Inquisitor will send you to prevent war from happening and your next destination is Berg - you need to get persuade 3 NPC's, they are all marked on in game map if you have trouble finding them. 1 of them wants 150 silver or tribal favor, another wants a good beating and the last one wants horror chitin or coralhorn bow or tribal favor.
Once you are done with all those tasks - you are now asked to get into levant, which will have main entrances sealed.. you can find out how to enter there, but I will save you the trouble - check my map and see the location of the undercity passage, you need to get through there to reach palace. There is 1 fake wall that will be opened by a lever and let you access the palace.
Once you are inside the palace you will find Yzan and Cyrene there - you can negotiate with Yzan and he will help you fight Cyrene and make it a very easy fight... or you can offend him and fight both of them. They are both not lootable, but Yzan drops his weapon if you decide to fight both.
Afterwards you will automatically speak with the king and he will ask you if you want to join the caravan to monsoon, which will automatically move you there, saving you a lot of time. If you killed Yzan - tell the kind to wait and grab Yzan's weapon, then talking with king again and go with the caravan.
Once you are in monsoon - go to the temple and absorb the dialogues, you will receive a Tsar Stone and Peacemaker Elixir (+20 max Health/Stam/Mana)
Now go to altar and you have an IMPORTANT CHOICE:
1) Ask Elatt what he wants you to do - he will send you to kill the monsters in monsoon(it's pretty easy - friendly NPCs will do most of the job for you) then return to cardinal to receive final piece of the faction armor set - the helmet as well as some other minor rewards. This will finish the faction quest and give you a well earned rest quest which indicates that you are now in post game and can either keep going or .
2) Offer to sacrifice yourself - WARNING, taking this option will eventually permanently kill your character(you can still use him in coop though, but in single player - you will be stuck in a location you can't leave)
Basically taking this path means you will get 2 passives: first one is called Exatled - it gives you DOUBLE damage, -30% stamina/mana consumption and increases ALL damage resistances by 10.
second passive is called Life Drain - this passive has 3 stages, it decreases your max HP by 30/60/90%. It takes approximately a month to reach stage 3 of this passive. If you die when you have stage 3 of the passive - you will be transferred to the In Between location where Elatt resides, you can talk with him but can never return to the world of living again(unless you join coop)
Whichever way you chose to complete the game - congratulations on beating the main quest of the game, now you can explore more or fill legacy chests and try other faction quests instead with new character and maybe new build.
You can also buy the 'player house' in the remaining 2 factions towns now.
I suggest you read the Legacy section of the guide to get some tips on legacy.

Questions and Corruption is the first faction quest for The Holy Mission of Elatt in Outward , and the fourth in the series of main quests .
- 2 Quest Summary
- 3.1 Vigil Altar
- 3.2 Corrupted Tombs
- 3.3 Purging Corruption
- 3.4 Finishing Up
- 4.1 Failure Timer Reached
- 5 Transcripts
Timer [ | ]
This quest has a timer of 30 days , which begins when you start the quest. Failing to resolve the Corruption in the Corrupted Tombs within this timeframe will result in a negative Passive skill applied to your character.
Quest Summary [ | ]
After the player joins the Holy Mission, Ellinara in Monsoon will send you to the nearby vigil tower so the player can understand how Vigil Pylons actually work. Elatt sensed there is corruption growing in Chersonese , and so Ellinara will send the player to source of corruption - Corrupted Tombs - along with Oliele to investigate the site on behalf of Elatt.
Walkthrough [ | ]
Vigil altar [ | ].
The player talks to Ellinara in Monsoon .
Speak to Ellinara in Monsoon , she tells us that before our first mission we need to understand the lengths that the Holy Mission goes to in order to protect people from The Scourge .
Ellinara tasks us with burning a Greasy Fern at the Vigil Altar, just east of Monsoon. A Greasy Fern can be found right near the altar, so purchasing one is unnecessary.
The Vigil Altar, east of Monsoon.
Make your way to the Vigil Pylon just east of Monsoon, atop a hill. When you reach the top of the hill, immediately to your left is 2 Greasy Fern plants , take one if you need.
Interact with the altar to burn a Greasy Fern, and your character has a vision of what the Vigil Pylons really are. You see the warriors who were slain fighting the Scourge Beast trapped in the crystal, and see that it is being stabbed endlessly by the ethereal Ghosts of those warriors.
Return to Ellinara and tell her what you have learned. She will say that Oliele was deeply hurt by what she saw when she burned a Greasy Fern, and desperately wants to find a way to end The Scourge once and for all.
Ellinara has sent Oliele to the Corrupted Tombs in Chersonese , as Elatt has sensed a large growth of Corruption coming from underground there. Ellinara asks us to find Oliele and help her with this task.
Corrupted Tombs [ | ]
The magical barrier blocking entry to the Corruption.
Head to the Corrupted Tombs in Chersonese , beyond Ghost Pass . The dungeon is found to the north-west once you enter the other side of Ghost Pass.
Inside to your left is a frozen blue area with an aggressive Wendigo , as well as Oliele attempting to get passed the barrier blocking the Corruption.
Speak to Oliele, and she asks us to see if we can find another way to remove the barrier inside the tombs.
We will need to complete A Myriad of Bones , either by killing Myriade or by helping him.
- If 30 days have passed since this quest began, it is recommended to help him .
Purging Corruption [ | ]
The player and Myriade watch as Oliele attempts to cleanse the Corruption.
Once you have managed to remove the barrier, head back to where Oliele was and head through.
If timer has NOT been reached:
- Speak to Oliele , and she will attempt to remove the corruption.
- Defeat the ghosts (or be defeated by them) to continue.
If failure timer HAS been reached:
- Speak to Oliele , and she will mention that the Corruption has progressed to a more advanced state.
- If you helped Myriade, speak to him and ask him to help distract the Ghosts.
- If Myriade helped, you receive Sacrifice , otherwise you receive Painful Sacrifice .
Either way, speak to Oliele again, and Elatt will intervene with a blessing of light. Oliele's limbs have been replaced with magical light, but she feels conflicted and doesn't know how to feel about it all. Oliele tells us she will meet us back in Monsoon.
Finishing Up [ | ]
Return to Ellinara in Monsoon to complete the quest.
Elatt will thank you for all you have done, and offer you a choice of two rewards:
- Take the blessing for yourself. You receive Purified , a passive skill.
- Give the blessing to Oliele. You receive Novice Robe , 3 Marshmelon Tartine and a recipe for Marshmelon Tartine.
Outcomes [ | ]
- Oliele now has a blessing of Elatt (luminous, glowing limbs)
From Ellinara at start:
- 3 Spiritual Varnish and recipe for Spiritual Varnish
- 2 Life Potion
From Elatt, choice of one:
- Novice Robe , 3 Marshmelon Tartine and recipe for Marshmelon Tartine
Failure Timer Reached [ | ]
- Sacrifice or Painful Sacrifice , depending on whether or not Myriade helped distract the ghosts, respectively.

Planning on taking the Moscow metro at the beginning of the next century? If so, be sure to have this map handy — it should clear things up for you:
This map — and the version detailing the current Moscow Metro , which is slightly more sane — was made by Artemy Lebedev . In all seriousness, his map of the 2010 metro is a nice improvement to the current standard .
