MY LEGACY Motor yacht for sale

Built at the renowned Italian Shipyard Codecasa, MY LEGACY is a 55.8m (183ft) yacht delivered in 2021. She has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to Lloyd’s classification with naval architecture by the shipyard. Her exteriors are by Codecasa and with a generous beam of 10.2m she offers 887GT of interior volume showcasing design by Tommaso Spadolini, with an elevator serving all guest decks.

Considerable guest deck spaces include the sun deck with sunloungers aft, a lounge area, bar and an expansive sun deck pool. On a spacious bridge deck aft there is seating and a large convertible dining area for 10 to 12 guests. Sliding glass doors lead into a sky lounge with seating surrounding a coffee table and facing a movable TV on the port aft bulkhead. Walkaround decks lead to a private lounge forward of the bridge.

Lobby stairs lead down to the main deck foyer with access to the sidedeck and a dayhead. Aft is the formal dining space and there is an open-plan lounge aft of that with seating for ten. Sliding glass doors aft bring the outside in. On the main deck aft is a lounge area partially shaded by the upper deck overhang.

She welcomes 10 guests in five cabins. The owner's suite is forward on the main deck with a separate lounge. There is a full-beam his-and-hers bathroom forward and a walk-in wardrobe. On the port side, aft of the owner’s suite, is a VIP cabin that can be converted between double or twin berths. On the lower deck is a full-beam VIP cabin with a twin and double cabin aft.

As well as the main tender in the aft garage, there is a rescue tender forward beneath a flush deck hatch. Twin 2,375hp Caterpillar 3512E Tier III diesel engines give her a top speed of 18 knots, she cruises at 14 knots and has a maximum range of 5,000nm. Zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort at anchor on arrival.

My Legacy ‘s owner knew exactly what he wanted for the interior: a regal palette of reds, blues, and gold to contrast the yacht’s modern, all-white exterior. “The owner loves Italian craftsmanship and wanted a handmade interior that reflected a cultural love of sumptuousness and opulence,” Spadolini said in a statement.

It took hundreds of hours of research to source the woods, marbles, and brocade used throughout. Spadolini enlisted a range of modern artisans to execute various details, and most of the work was carried out by hand. Ginori 1735 supplied the exquisite porcelain, Badari Firenze created the classic lighting, Stilnavi executed the intricate woodwork, Loris Zanca took care of the fabrics, and DL Décor and Zanaboni provided the plush furnishings.

The main salon is adorned with gilded armchairs that have been upholstered in red-and-gold brocade, as well as mahogany cabinetry panels with ornate briarwood centers. Spadolini says the pattern around the edge of the cabinetry was settled on after 15 or 16 separate trials. The elaborate design is also reflected in the carpets.

The main deck owner’s apartment continues the red-and-gold theme in the two cabins and private lounge. The VIP cabin on the deck below is fitted out in a similar fashion but with blue and gold hues instead, while the remaining two guest cabins are decked out in beige and gold.

“This interior may be classic, but displays a passion for the sea and for yachting,” Spadolini adds. “It is linked to the luxury of yacht interiors of the past, and I’m old enough to remember some of those!”

56m Codecasa motor yacht Legacy for sale

The 55.8-metre Codecasa motor yacht Legacy has been newly listed for sale with Rupert Nelson of Burgess.

The custom-built superyacht is one of the latest launches from the Italian shipyard and was commissioned by an owner looking to upgrade in size. Delivered in 2021, the steel and aluminium yacht was designed by Codecasa's team, with a rich and highly detailed interior by Tommaso Spadolini . Legacy has only been privately and lightly used since new.

Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins, including an owner's suite forward on the main deck with a separate lounge and his and hers bathrooms. A VIP convertible cabin is located immediately aft and a further full-beam VIP double suite is found on the lower deck, along with one twin and one double cabin. Accessibility is easy thanks to a lift serving all decks. A captain's double and six twin cabins provide quarters for the crew.

The main saloon has plenty of seating for a party of 10 and leads forward to an open-plan formal dining area. Substantial deck spaces include the sun deck with sunloungers aft, a lounge area, bar and a sun deck pool forward, flanked by sunpads and sheltered by a windscreen.

On the bridge deck aft there is seating and a convertible dining area for up to 12 guests. Sliding glass doors lead into a sky lounge. Walkaround decks lead to a private lounge forward of the bridge.

The 887GT yacht for sale is powered by twin 2,375hp Caterpillar engines that drive her at 14 knots cruising and 18 knots maximum speed. Range is 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Lying in Monaco, Legacy is asking €44,950,000.
