Monaco Yacht Show 2022:
the official list of superyachts is announced

Monaco Yacht Show 2022

The Monaco Yacht Show publishes its first list of superyachts that will be exhibited in Port Hercule in two months.

The show organisers assure that other units will extend this list by September 28, the opening day of the show. The list is evolving every day with new entries. Indeed, brokers are used to confirming the participation of their superyachts available for purchase or charter a few weeks before the show opening.

Over a hundred superyachts will therefore be expected at the show. Today (as of August 3, 2022), 32 yachts published on the MYS website are new builds (2022) unveiled in Monaco by their builders.

A range of superyachts for all tastes!

Private owners wishing to change their yachts – or to purchase a new one! -, charterers or new pleasure-seeking visitors tempted by a first superyacht experience, all will be seduced by the varied collection of yachts on display this year in the Dockside Area : vessels starting from 22 metres in length, among which ten sailing yachts (four are new deliveries) confirmed in the Sailing Yacht Area .

The list of tenders is online

The MYS also announces its list of tenders on its website. Here too, the organisers are still waiting for confirmation of additional units in the coming weeks to complete the fifty or so tenders on display. While the tenders are now part of the new Adventure Area exhibition, they will continue to be exhibited on two sites (Quai Jarlan and Quai Antoine I er ).

About the Monaco Yacht Show

The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is an annual international show dedicated to the world of superyachts.

Inaugurated in 1991, the show is held over four days in late September in the Port Hercule of Monaco.

The MYS is divided into two main exhibition areas: afloat and on the quayside.

Afloat, +100 superyachts and +50 luxury tenders are displayed by the most renowned builders and brokers in the market.

450 hand-picked companies, representing excellence and innovation in yachting, exhibit on the quayside: designers and naval architects, yacht suppliers and service providers or manufacturers of tenders and nautical gadgets. In recent years, the show has extended its exhibition offer to the ultra-high-end markets intrinsically linked to the art of living superyachting by showcasing cutting-edge technological solutions in yachting, luxury products, cars and motorcycles and also helicopters or private jet manufacturers.

The Monaco Yacht Show is world-renowned for the exceptional quality of its superyachts and their impressive length: among the +100 units on display, +40 new models are unveiled as world premieres each year. The fleet has an average length of 50m and mega yachts exceeding 100m.

The show has become an emblematic event for private visitors who come to discover an outstanding concentration of superyachts available for purchase or charter and to meet the industry experts in the festive and glamorous atmosphere of the Principality of Monaco.

The Monaco Yacht Show is organised under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The Yachts You Need to See at Monaco Yacht Show 2022

It can be difficult to navigate the waters, if you pardon the pun.

By Bea Isaacson

Once again, Monte Carlo’s Port Hercules will be welcoming the biggest and the best of the yachting world into its harbor for the globe’s most prestigious ocean-faring events. It is, of course, the Monaco Yacht Show 2022.

Attracting visitors from all corners of the world, September 28 to October 1 will see boats and humans alike descend upon the sun-soaked port for a yacht show unlike any other. First established in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show has dazzled the industry with its pure scope, from the world’s biggest vessels to extravagant toys..

Yet with such a large collection, it can be difficult to navigate the waters, if you pardon the pun. So whether you’re a regular attendee excited to see what 2022 has to show, or a first-timer to the glamour of Port Hercules, here are Elite Traveler’s unmissable yachts for Monaco Yacht Show 2022.

lusine exterior

This luxury yacht, which was built in 2021 and launched this year, has a length of just over 197 ft and enters the ranking of the largest yachts across the world at a cool number 456 th . The fourth largest yacht built by Dutch company Heesen, Lusine has a cruising speed of 13 knots and a top speed of 17.5 knots.

Designed to comfortably accommodate twelve guests in six gorgeous suites, one suite is purpose-built to be uber-glamorous under the banner of the VIP label, which will be of particular excitement to this year’s Monaco Yacht Show guests. Other features include an elevator, underwater lights and air conditioning.

The interior of the Lusine was designed by Dutch designer house Sinot Yacht Design, whilst Omega Architects are responsible for the boat’s graceful exterior. All in all, Lusine really is as exceptionally designed as she is wonderfully luxurious.

laurel exterior

Seven spacious staterooms, thrilling artwork and even an underwater scene glasswork backdrop; the Laurel yacht is a magnificent charter experience that prioritizes beauty alongside comfort, to awe-inspiring results.

First introduced to the luxury boating world in 2006, and refitted for the new decade in 2014, Laurel can accommodate up to 12 guests and 24 members of crew for an unrivaled luxury experience on the seven seas.

Built by Delta Marine of the Pacific Northwest, Laurel holds her own within American yacht history as it is the second largest yacht to be built in North America since the Great Depression.

Also featuring a sun deck, a gym, a spa pool and even a three-story-high glass sculpture by Seattle artist Mary van Cline, Laurel has a cruising speed of 15 knots and an overall length of 239.5 ft.

twizzle exterior

Sleek and graceful, Twizzle is a classic of the sailing boat genre, with her gorgeous interior, generous deck space, and effortless form on the water.

Launched in 2010 to great acclaim, Twizzle – and her shipyard, the legendary Royal Huisman – was the happy recipient of the Show Boats Design Awards for best interior design and best recreational area, alongside the ISS Best Superyacht Interior Design Award and Best Sailing Yacht Design Award.

So what gives? In short: a lot. Accommodating up to eight guests in four cabins, the 190.2-ft sailing yacht charter offers both wondrous luxury and thrilling scope for adventure, featuring two Laser Pico sailboats, towable toys, water skis, scuba diving equipment, wakeboards and kayaks.

Twizzle is also notable for her family-friendly disposition, with a layout that is compromised of a master suite, two double cabins and one twin cabin.

project x interior

Launched earlier this year – and only delivered last month – new kid on the block Project X is already a force to be reckoned with. Delivered by Greek shipyard Golden Yachts, the exterior of the boat was designed by British firm Ken Freivokh Design, a multi-disciplinary team internationally renowned for its “out of the box” designs.

Measuring 288.7 ft, Project X boasts a large open deck with a swimming pool, cascading decks and a unique column-shaped ‘X’ structure, which in turn hides an internal, balcony-hosting, three-deck atrium. And that’s not all: the superyacht is also rumored to feature the largest circular glass elevator of its kind.

But it’s the interior, designed by Massari Design, that is of particular interest. The interior design of Project X has never been seen before, rendering the superyacht’s presentation this Monaco Yacht Show an international debut.

Magellano 30

magellano 30 interior

Ferdinand Magellan was a legendary Portuguese explorer of the 16 th century, and five centuries later, the Azimut Magellano 30 Metri promises to epitomize the spirit of adventure and discovery for the 21 st century in her Monaco Yacht Show 2022 debut.

Coming in at just under 98.4 ft in length, and with a maximum speed of 24 knots, the Magellano is ideal for those desiring to travel long distances across the globe, and the boat’s fuel efficiency gives her a considerable amount of geographical independence and freedom compared to competitors.

And it’s not all just practical matters with the Magellano , with notable beauty both inside and outside the boat. Boasting many multifunctional spaces, including three bedrooms, the design is minimalist and fresh, with evident nautical influence that feels more Bond than boring.

By Steph Loseby   3 October 2022

After another edition of one of the most prestigious events in the yachting calendar, YachtCharterFleet reflects on all the highlights from this year's remarkable Monaco Yacht Show .

Bringing together a dazzling fleet of over 130 superyachts, 74 of which made their debut in Monaco , and around 600 exhibitors, the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 has been a roaring success.

Alongside a stellar line-up of superyachts, some of the biggest names in the yachting industry attended the glamorous event in Port hercules, including Lurssen , Feadship , Benetti ,  Azimut  and  Gulf Craft .

luxury yachts lined up at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022

The Monaco Yacht Show maintains its lofty position as the most prestigious yacht show that annually boasts a fleet of beautiful  luxury charter yachts  and a variety of captivating superyachts for sale. This year, industry players and prospective clients spent four days immersed in the world of yachting, witnessing the latest innovations, technologies and designs.

The show kicked off with spectacular sunshine beaming down over the remarkable fleet and the atmosphere in Monaco was buzzing with excitement as show-goers walked the time-honoured blue carpet.

As the show went on, the weather became windier but despite talks of rain, the weather held off and continued to remain dry and remarkably sunny come Friday and Saturday.

The show creates a buzz of excitement for all the latest superyacht designs, new innovations and technology but most importantly, the luxurious vessels themselves.

Standout Superyachts

With a strong turnout of vessels at this year’s edition, stealing the hearts of many showgoers was, of course, the outstanding 115m (378ft) motor yacht AHPO . As one of the most exciting new yachts at the show and a recent addition to the charter fleet, the Lurssen yacht was eye-catching, unique and extremely luxurious, showcasing her expansive beach club with hydraulic steps that lead you directly into the sea.

On the same dock, freshly delivered this year, Golden Yacht's 88m (289ft) superyacht PROJECT X definitely caused a buzz and soon became one of the most-talked about yachts at the show. YachtCharterFleet stepped onboard to discover her beautiful Massari-designed interiors, as well as her 7.5-meter by 3-meter glass-enclosed swimming pool on her aft main deck and vast beach club which proved to be outstanding.

Sparking a lot of attention was the impressive 75m (247ft) superyacht KENSHÕ , marking her debut onto the charter fleet in 2022, at this year's show, guests took a tender to view her as she was located out at anchor, just off the coast of Monaco. With her sleek profile and eye-catching reverse bow, this superyacht has many stand-out features, from her beautiful waterside beach club to her vast 6-meter glass-fronted swimming pool. Inside, there is a sense of zen-calm Asian-inspired styling designed around the Owner’s love of the ocean.

Some of the team at YachtCharterFleet were lucky enough to step onboard to enjoy a tour around yacht KENSHÕ, among many other yachts in the top tier of luxury design and craftsmanship.

New hubs for 2022

entrance to the adventure area at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022

Back at the port, there was plenty to see and the boardwalks were bustling with people. This year's show boasted a seamless new layout that allowed showgoers to witness the brand-new Adventure Area and Sustainability Hub , alongside its popular Design & Innovation Hub and dockside areas committed to the exhibition of superyachts and tenders. From nautical gadgets, all-terrain vehicles and an abundance of luxury tenders, we viewed a wide range of activities and services targeting the upcoming generation of superyacht clientele.

One of the most popular areas at this year's show was the Yacht Design and Innovation Hub, a place where the world’s most renowned yacht designers convened to showcase their latest projects. Various presentations on design and eco-responsible projects in yachting took place in a conference room upstairs which proved to be informative and eye-opening for all. This year, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub also welcomed the historic exhibitors of the Designer Gallery along the Louis Chiron bend of Port Hercules.

Sapphire Experience

Introduced for the first time last year, the  Sapphire Experience proved to be another successful addition to the show. The experience itself is a bespoke tour program for visitors interested in renting or buying a yacht, with a concierge team dedicated to creating a bespoke program of events tailored to take advantage of all there is to experience at the show in true VIP fashion; including scheduled visits on board yachts, attendance at gala evenings or private cocktails on board various luxury vessels. We also spotted an official Sapphire tender and courtesy car service that provided seamless transport around the show.

In addition, there were also dedicated VIP entrances and lounges for convenience and relaxation throughout the show.

Standout concepts announced at the show

The stands were livelier than ever this year, with a number of top shipyards grabbing the opportunity to reveal their new concepts at the show.

Feadship reveals 85m concept SLICE

The Dutch shipyard Feadship revealed a revolutionary 85m superyacht concept at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, named SLICE. With the vessel’s initial concept coming from design Studio de Voogt, Slice is designed to “turn the inside out and the outside in”, according to the studio’s lead designer, Chris Bottoms and Head of Design, Tanno Weeda.

The yacht tackles one of the biggest owner grievances in yacht design: long hallways, dark interiors and stacked living spaces. The design incorporates a long glass strip from bow to stern which allows natural light to flow through her multiple decks with the aim to reinvent yacht corridors as enjoyable spaces in their own right.

Abeking & Rasmussen presents 86m explorer concept TIME

During the show, the German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen  teamed up with Swiss design studio Valentin Design Sur Mesure to present their 86-meter explorer concept TIME.

Described as "one-of-a-kind", explorer yacht TIME is a seven-deck explorer powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system to venture in both cold and warm water. Designed by Valentin Weigand, the yacht is defined by an inverted bow and is home to multiple features that make her stand out from the crowd. From her extra wide duplex Owner's suite to her submarine and observatory deck, TIME will allow guests to make the most out of every moment spent on board.

U-Boat Worx unveils 37.5m underwater superyacht Nautilus

Another memorable concept unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show was the 37.5-meter underwater superyacht model, NAUTILUS, a diesel-electric yacht that can function as both an on-water vessel as well as a submarine. Revealed by Dutch submersible specialist U-Boat Worx, NAUTILUS combines the usual trappings of superyacht life with the unique ability to dive down to 200m (650ft) depths.

on-water, submarine concept revealed

A particularly fascinating design, NAUTILUS is able to stay underwater for days at a time, with a surface cruise speed of nine knots and an underwater speed of four knots. What happens when the model is not in use? Well, it can be docked at any quay that can accommodate its 6.5-meter draft.

62 STEEL, 202-Foot Sanlorenzo

yacht show monaco 2022 tickets

62 Steel offers a choice of five or six total cabins for a party of 12. That entire party can use the beach club at the same time, since it’s big enough and has several zones. For instance, fold-down platforms on three sides let those who want to go swimming or sunning spread out. Additionally, the inside area stays pleasantly light and bright due to the glass bottom of the aft-deck pool right above it.

2022 Monaco Yacht Show

Posted September 27, 2022 in Events by Janine St.Denis

The 2022 Monaco Yacht Show is upon us. Follow along with Northrop & Johnson as we welcome clients and guests to our terrace, office, yachts and events throughout the four days of this exceptional show.

Saturday, October 1, 2022 | Monaco Yacht Show Day 4

The weather played the nicest on the last day of the yacht show. Saturday was absolutely beautiful. The seas were calm, welcoming even more yachts in anchor than the previous days. The docks were busy as guests and clients got their final fill of yachts, water toys, cars, helicopters and all of the other exciting and luxurious products and amenities on display at this year’s show.

Charter Manager Nicolas Fry recommended that charter clients pop aboard ALBATROSS – a beautiful and voluminous yacht available on the charter market.

The N&J Signature Terrace once again was brimming with show revelers. Everyone from captains and crew to yacht owners, charter clients to yachting industry professionals mixed and mingled above the glimmering waters of the port below. And at 6 pm, when the yachts sounded their horns to signal the end of the show, everyone at the terrace, with a glass of Champagne in hand, cheers-ed to another successful Monaco Yacht Show.

Friday, September 30, 2022 | Monaco Yacht Show Day 3

As we hit day three of the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, the excitement was still strong. The Signature Terrace welcomed more guests than any day before and our yachts were bustling with visitors. OCEAN’S SEVEN is a big draw as this explorer yacht has so much to offer a new client — including great charter potential.

At 5 pm, the Terrace filled up with more than 200 guests who came to experience a Louis XIII toast and to try one of the impressive timepieces from Ulysse Nardin in their UN gazebo lounge. Team members from Northrop & Johnson’s new yacht management division SYM were in attendance with guests, as were teams from shipyards Numarine and Infiniti.

Thursday, September 29, 2022 | Monaco Yacht Show Day 2

The second day of the Monaco Yacht Show was as busy as the first at Northrop & Johnson as we welcomed guests to our Signature Terrace for breakfast and lunch. The docks were bustling as clients visited the yachts in N&J’s display and our sales and charter brokers took clients aboard other yachts in the port.

For those in the charter market, N&J Senior Charter Broker Fiona Maureso recommends the Amels 55M PAPA and the 37.95M SOSA as notable must-visit yachts.

In the evening, Northrop & Johnson welcomed more than 70 clients and partners aboard the stunning 178′ (54.4m) Amels superyacht FARIBANA V for our Signature Evening Under the Stars. The crowd danced the night away to the tunes of local favorite The Rovers, enjoyed a toast courtesy of our partner Louis XIII and tried on some exceptional timepieces from our partner Ulysse Nardin . Check out all the photos of the fun.

Wednesday, September 28, 2022 | Monaco Yacht Show Day 1

The 2022 Monaco Yacht Show kicked off today under clear blue skies. We were ready to welcome guests at our Signature Terrace – a true oasis away from the show’s chaos below. Coffee and pastries were enjoyed in the morning, guests and clients clamored for seats during lunch service and our happy hour from 5 to 7 pm was a hit as a DJ spun classic South of France beats as the first day of the show wound down. Our strategic partners, NetJets, Ulysse Nardin, Louis XIII and shipbuilders Numarine and Infiniti, all were on hand at the terrace with various offerings. As were N&J’s yacht brokers, charter brokers, charter marketing managers, crew services experts. The yacht management team from N&J’s newly acquired Superyacht Management also were there.

In the show itself, Northrop & Johnson welcomed clients aboard the 178′ (54.4m) Amels superyacht FARIBANA V and the 137′ (41.9m) Kingship superyacht OCEAN’S SEVEN . Two additional Northrop & Johnson listings for sale, the 158′ (48.15m) Feadship superyacht GITANA and the 115′ (35.2m) Sunseeker motor yacht SEDATIVE , also are on display in the show. A multitude of our yachts also are anchored out or in the area — check the complete list here — and can be accessed via one of two N&J tenders available for clients.

The show itself is busy this year, with 116 total yachts on display. The largest yacht is the 448′ (148m) AHPO and the average LOA of yachts in the show this year is 206 feet (63m). With so much excitement happening around the show, we’re looking forward to what day two holds. Keep up with N&J at the show through our social channels: Instagram ; Facebook ; TikTok ; Twitter ; LinkedIn .

Monday, September 26, 2022

We kicked off the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show in style this year at our annual captains’ event. This year, held on the beach at La Note Bleue, our Captains’ Beach Party welcomed more than 100 captains, senior crewmembers, N&J brokers and team members, partners and sponsors, including Airbus Corporate Jets, NetJets, Louis XIII, Ulysse Nardin, Newcoast Insurance, Water.org, Intellian, Tim Davis – Hamptons Market Leader, MHG Insurance and Bermuda. Each guest received a festive lei upon entering the stunning seaside space. Guests mixed and mingled, wine and dined as a local DJ filled the air with music to set the relaxed vibe. Check out our photos of the event here and keep up with N&J at the show through our social channels: Instagram ; Facebook ; TikTok ; Twitter ; LinkedIn .

Palm Beach International Boat Show returns to West Palm Beach waterfront

The Palm Beach International Boat Show returns this week with more nearly 1,000 vessels on display, including super yachts from around the world.

Tickets are on sale now for the show that runs March 21-24 along the West Palm Beach waterfront.

The show, which started in 1982, has grown to a major economic engine for the community, with last year's impact estimated at $1.05 billion statewide — nearly as much as the $1.3 billion Miami International Boat Show, said Alyssa Freeman, executive director of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County, which owns the boat show.

More: Cool front for South Florida won't be its last even with the first day of spring here

"Palm Beach is really not that far behind Miami, and Miami is the biggest in the world," Freeman said. "That was really exciting."

This year's boat show features an expanded Super Yacht Show at Palm Harbor Marina, showcasing yachts that typically stretch longer than 80 feet and have a variety of luxurious amenities that include hot tubs, crew quarters, dance floors and sun decks.

"We have more super yachts there than we ever have before, and they're even bigger," Freeman said, noting that at 236 feet, the vessel Casino Royale takes the title of largest yacht at this year's show. The title of "most expensive yacht" goes to Come Together, a 196-foot vessel priced at $59.95 million.

"Everybody, when they think about super yachts, they think about Monaco and Miami, but Palm Beach is a real player in these boat shows and the yachting world," Freeman said.

Exhibitors continue to be drawn to the Palm Beach International Boat Show by the opportunity for high sales year after year when compared with other South Florida boat shows, she said.

"I've heard from several of them, this is their favorite show to attend," Freeman said, "And that's why, because their sales are higher at Palm Beach."

The show continues to make headway in improving its sustainability efforts, she said. After reducing single-use plastics, a major change this year is the addition of water bottle refilling stations throughout the show, Freeman said.

"I think that's exciting because everybody's talking about sustainability and how we can be more sustainable," she said. "Every year, we take little steps to be more sustainable."

Freeman said she is excited for this year's AquaZone presented by Nautical Ventures. The attraction showcases some of the "yacht toys" that are new or popular on the market.

"It's so cool, because there are people actually in the water demoing yacht toys, and it's usually the latest and greatest," she said. "There's always something new every year that we've never seen before."

The Palm Beach International Boat Show also features a range of seminars, demonstrations and discussions throughout the weekend, including mental health in yachting, tips to boat to the Bahamas, safe boating to protect sea turtles and how to address active threats and piracy.

Freeman, who has children, said she loves the Kids Fishing Clinics scheduled for noon and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday with captain Don Dingman.

"Captain Don has been doing this for years, and he does a fantastic job," Freeman said. "The kids actually get to go home with a free rod and reel once the clinic is over."

The association produces the Palm Beach International Boat Show with Informa Markets' U.S. Boat Shows division.

"As we gear up for the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, we are excited for our return to Downtown West Palm Beach to celebrate the rich history of this esteemed event," Andrew Doole, president of U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets, said in a news release. "Each year, we’re grateful for the warm welcome and support from the community, which truly makes this event a highlight on the calendar for both residents and visitors alike."

Informa also produces the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art show happening March 21-24, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. A Windward VIP ticket to the boat show includes admission to the art show as well.

In addition to serving as a cornerstone festival of spring in West Palm Beach, the boat show launched the Palm Beach International Boat Show Gives Back program to provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in contributions to local nonprofits, Freeman said.

The grant program had a soft launch last year and formalized the boat show's four-decade practice of giving back to the community, Freeman said.

"We're really excited about it," said Freeman, who added that the boat show team is working with the Community Foundation to manage the grant program, which they hope to grow. "That's something that's a super high priority for us."

Money raised through a portion of the boat show's ticket sales, optional add-ons and some related activities goes toward the fund.

The boat show in February announced that the first round of grants totaling $500,000 would go to 25 nonprofits that have marine-related programs or projects, including Florida Fishing Academy, Loggerhead Marinelife Center, Florida Atlantic University, Inlet Grove High School, Palm Beach State College, Sea Turtle Adventures and Friends of Manatee Lagoon.

"We're hoping one day we'll be able to say that it's a million dollars," she said. "So fingers crossed. It relies on the success of the boat show and the support of the community. With that, we will continue to grow."
