The main deck aft is a designed to gather outside for morning coffee or unwind at the end of the day watching the sunset. A large outdoor lounge is placed under the upper deck overhang, and a raised spa pool is placed along the stern.

The upper deck aft offers an elegant alfresco dining setting to seat all guests on board and the sundeck overhang provides shelter for use throughout the day. The aft section is exposed to the sunshine, and sofa seating lines the stern with drinks tables for conversation over refreshments.

The foredeck area is used for storing additional tenders and water toys, creating more space within for guest usage.

The sundeck is a desirable place to spend the whole day unwinding in the sunshine or lounging in the shade. The forward section is fitted with plush sofa seating with a wet bar placed amidships in the shade of the hardtop. An alfresco dining area also in the shade is immediately behind, followed by a sun-exposed raised Jacuzzi with sunbeds on both sides.

CRN 142 Specifications

The interior layout spans three decks and provides ample room for luxury accommodation, multiple lounges, a large tender garage and water toys storage area and other amenities.

CRN has released images of the interior of Hull 142, a 171-foot bespoke yacht with an interior volume of 499 gross tons. The Italian custom superyacht builder will reveal the boat’s official name when it launches this spring. It’s currently in the final stages of construction at CRN’s Ancona yard.

The yacht’s exterior shape was designed by Omega Architects, which gave it a sleek, sporty look. Massari Design did the interior and exterior spaces to create a sense of flow and connectivity between inside and out. The five-stateroom yacht is designed for 10 guests across four decks.

The company said that the owner wanted “social zones” across the yacht, both inside and out. The Massari interiors are simple and homey, employing warm colors that combine with marble, leather and solid woods. The designers also used floor-to-ceiling windows to enhance natural light as often as they could in different rooms.

The widespread use of glass is the main-deck salon’s main feature, which includes a large social area and dining table. Mirrored surfaces also enhance the light across the large space. The connected outdoor lounge includes a rectangular spa. On the same deck, forward, is the owner’s suite with a private study. It also has a very simple style, with plenty of glass.

The owner also wanted some of the spaces to do double-duty, including the lounge on the upper deck, designed as a social area or cinema with a giant screen. It opens to the exterior deck so that whole area becomes an al-fresco dining zone. The side area has glass paneling in the superstructure to prevent gusts of wind, so it can be opened up, without being unruly.

The top sundeck is another multipurpose area for sunbathing, enjoying drinks at the horseshoe-shaped bar, with another dining area. The boat also has a solarium and hydro-massage pool on the bow.

The beach club also integrates interior and exterior, with access to the water but also a television and bar inside that connects to the yacht’s wellness area, which has a hammam and shower.

Wittingly named the CIAO (Italian for "hello" or "goodbye"), the CRN 142 yacht is a masterpiece of contemporary design and elegance from Ferretti group-owned CRN yachts. Designed in close collaboration with Omega Architects, the all-aluminum build boasts a design so good that it won itself an accolade, as evidenced by the CRN 142's triumph as the "Best in Motor <500 GT (above 24m)" category at the 2023 ISS Design and Leadership Awards.

At 52 meters in length and 9 meters in beam, the CIAO comes with svelte exterior lines and a near-vertical bow, all of which give it a sporty and dynamic personality you might struggle to find elsewhere. Add to these the clever use of space, a stupendous interior by Massari Design, and full-height glazing across all her four decks, and you have a very impressive boat.

Aft Platform

Albeit not the biggest in size, the CIAO's functional aft platform sets the mood for what's to come, with a pair of relaxing sunbeds, a hydraulic step into the water, and a teak-laid floor. The teak-laid flooring, consistent throughout the boat, ascends to the cockpit via pathways flanking the transom door.

The main deck's aft cockpit is designed as a prime spot for outdoor relaxation, featuring a sizable swimming pool-sized jacuzzi, a pair of three-seater sofas, another pair of coffee chairs, and a well-equipped wet bar.

Embodying the yacht's award-winning theme of seamless continuity, elegant sliding glass doors transition you from the cockpit into a well-appointed saloon. Contemporary in style, the space features an L-shaped sofa right in the center, an exquisite dining table for ten, and a large Flat-screen TV in the forward area.

A stroll forward leads to the master stateroom or owner's cabin. Impressively large, the cabin features an array of seating options, a spacious bed facing a large flat-screen TV, dual ensuites connected by a central shower, and an impressive walk-in closet. The external bow area of the main deck houses the boat's tenders.

Ascending to the upper deck, you find a cozy seating area and dining space sheltered under a beautiful overhang. More interesting, though, is that the deck also houses a unique cinema-style room, complete with a big screen and a comfortable seating area, perfect for entertainment. Centrally located on this deck is the crew area, with convenient access to the yacht's kitchen and pantry.

Walking further forward through the doors, you'll find the boat's high-tech helm station equipped with six monitors, an army of navigation equipment, and a pair of leather seats. In the external bow section, the CIAO uniquely accommodates pair of jet skis, presenting a layout that sets it apart from the conventional design of most yachts.

Aft, the expansive sundeck boasts a quartet of sunbeds, each designed for ultimate relaxation. Up ahead, a dining area accommodates ten guests adjacent to a serving station with a fully equipped wet bar. Strategically positioned at the front of the sundeck is a jacuzzi, perfectly placed to maximize the views.

Heading all the way down to the lower deck, you're greeted by four beautifully appointed guest cabins, elegantly furnished and equipped with state-of-the-art entertainment systems and thoughtfully glazed to allow an abundance of natural light.

CRN Launches 142' Bespoke Yacht M/Y CIAO

The CRN 142, a bespoke yacht to be delivered as M/Y CIAO, was launched May 21, 2022 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Italy. This new work of art in true CRN style entered the water for the first time in an exciting private ceremony attended by the owner, the senior management, and the employees with their families. Made entirely of aluminium, M/Y CIAO was designed and built by CRN in close collaboration with architecture and design studio Omega Architects, who conceived the external lines, and architects Massari Design, who created the outdoor guest areas and interiors. Measuring in at 52 meters in length, 9 meters in the beam and with a gross tonnage of 499, this new true custom yacht spans 4 decks. She accommodates up to 10 guests in the comfort of the main-deck owner suite and the 4 VIP cabins below. CRN M/Y CIAO is a tailor-made creation with a strong artisanal stamp. Her distinctive taut, svelte exterior lines and near-vertical bow exude a decidedly sporty, dynamic personality. The expanse of full-height tinted glazing on the main and upper decks blends into a visual continuum, offering uninterrupted sea views in the utmost on-board privacy. Even the wheelhouse has 3 generous windows that set off the external lines in an unbroken spatial and visual whole. The yacht reflects the vision of a knowledgeable owner who specifically wanted comfortable spaces in the open air, setting great store by the design of the social zones. The result is a pleasure vessel with a sublime harmony and a strong connection among the large, luminous indoor and outdoor spaces, for a perceptual and functional unity between inside and out. New 52m CRN M/Y 142 superyacht takes shape / Construction update

Italian shipyard CRN (Ferretti Group), has unveiled some further details about the fully custom CRN M/Y 142 yacht: this all-aluminium megayacht, whose sale was concluded in July 2020 , was designed by the CRN Technical Office in partnership with Omega Architects , for the concept and exterior lines, and Massari Design for the interiors. The two studios’ creative spark combined with CRN’s passion and deep expertise is bringing to life a unique work, a blend of bespoke quality and elegant simplicity.

CRN M/Y 142 is the fruit of state-of-the-art research & development, which informs the design of even the subtlest construction detail. The CRN engineers have set great store by fuel efficiency, optimising the hull and appendages to reduce drag. Weight reduction has been a priority, using special light materials and an aluminium hull and superstructure.

The hull was positioned in early March, and construction is progressing at the Ancona yard. After the structural work and pre-fitting is completed throughout, the interior carpentry will begin, the engines will be installed, and preparations for the exterior painting will be made. The new yacht’s distinctive taut, harmonious, extremely elegant lines are beginning to emerge.

At 52 metres long and 9 metres in the beam, with a streamlined low profile and near-vertical bow, she exudes a vibrant sporty personality. The overall design creates a striking interplay between the majestic external areas and the palatial interiors. This exquisite equilibrium lends visual continuity to the indoor/outdoor experience. Large fullheight windows add to the strong sense of space, in intimate touch with the sea. The 4-deck layout features 1 owner suite and 4 VIP cabins for up to 10 guests.

CRN is currently building another 3 bespoke yachts: the 62-metre CRN M/Y 138, the 72-metre CRN M/Y 139, and the 60-metre CRN M/Y 141.

CRN unveils the design concept for the new M/Y 142, a fully personalised, hand-crafted yacht under construction at its Ancona yard. She is the fruit of CRN’s partnership with yacht design studio Omega Architects , for her exterior profile, and architects Massari Design , who are shaping the spaces inside.

At 52 metres in length, 9 metres in the beam and with a gross tonnage of 499 , the new bespoke yacht spans 4 decks and accommodates up to 10 guests in the comfort of the main-deck owner suite and 4 VIP cabins below.

The all-aluminium CRN M/Y 142 blends the finest I talian artisanal tradition with a design and build quality that embraces the owner’s vision and specifications. The result is a tailor-made superyacht with taut, svelte exterior lines, a near-vertical bow and a sporty, dynamic personality.

The expanse of full-height tinted glazing on the main and upper decks forms a visual continuum to complement the elegant exterior architecture. So the owners can enjoy breathtaking panoramas in the utmost on-board privacy. Even the wheelhouse has 3 generous windows that set off the external lines in an unbroken spatial and visual whole.

On the main aft deck, yacht designer Frank Laupman’s signature arches protect the deck and frame the views from the side and stern for guests seated in consummate comfort.

The warm, welcoming interiors offer a linear simplicity and crispness of form. They reflect an advanced contemporary-living concept with a distinctive air of refinement and a strong sense of space.

CRN is currently building another 3 bespoke yachts : the 62-metre CRN M/Y 138 , the 72-metre CRN M/Y 139 , and the 60-metre CRN M/Y 141.

CRN Reveals Elegant Interior Concept for 52m CRN 142

Italian shipyard CRN has released more details about its contemporary custom project, 52m CRN M/Y 142, that is currently under construction in its Ancona shipyard and due to be launched in Spring 2022.

Reflecting the character of its knowledgeable sea-loving owner, the new, fully-custom CRN M/Y 142 boasts a sleek all-aluminium exterior, designed by CRN and Omega Architects, and now presents stylish comfortable living within its innovative design. 

Creators of the bespoke interior, Massari Design, have developed a dynamic and sporty finish, building around the vast outdoor spaces to create a sense of creative continuity throughout the yacht’s design. The luxurious indoor and outdoor living spaces present a satisfying visual unity, whilst being tranquil and welcoming for the owner and their guests.  

With plenty of open air social zones, the yacht proudly features two sizable outdoor lounges, a sunbathing area and spa pool, as well as ample al fresco dining spaces for the owner to enjoy the sweeping ocean views. The panoramic upper deck lounge also presents flexibility; converting from an exquisite social area, to a fully equipped cinema. 

Continuing the effortless functionality of the interior design, the main deck accommodates another inviting open space for outdoor dining, with large floor to ceiling glazing and mirrored surfaces; creating the feeling of limitless space whilst truly incorporating the outside, in. For this design, the importance of elegant simplicity and effortless style is revealed through calming interior colour choices, mixed with natural wood, marble and leather finishes. A private owner’s suite creates a secret haven with full-length windows to savour the views from a peaceful retreat. 

As an impressive addition, the bright sun deck has been transformed into a multipurpose space for evening entertaining or daytime sunbathing through its spectuar horseshoe shaped lounge bar, separating the sunny dining area from the solarium and circular hydromassage pool. 

Not ending there, the beach club on the lower deck provides a spacious multifunctional leisure zone with an extending terrace to accommodate diving and watersports activities. A relaxation zone and wellness area is also on the generous lower deck, providing an oasis after island exploring.

The yacht, completely in aluminum, was designed by CRN in collaboration with the design and architecture studio Omega Architects, who conceived the taut and harmonious external lines, and with the Massari Design architecture studio, which oversaw the numerous and large outdoor guest areas and bright interiors. Thus was born a tailoring project that places the external environments at the center of the construction path, enhancing their continuity and interconnection with the interiors.                The new true custom yacht has a gross tonnage of 499, a length of 52 meters and a beam of 9 meters, and can accommodate up to 10 guests on its four decks. It is a unique work, with a dynamic and sporty character, inspired by the perfect balance between spaces, with large indoor and outdoor living areas characterized by harmonious symmetries and carefully connected in order to create a perceptive and functional fusion between indoor and outdoor.                                                                                      CRN M / Y 142 reflects the personality of an experienced and passionate owner of the sea who specifically requested comfortable spaces “en plein air” and maximum attention to the design of social areas. The outdoor areas, such as the two large lounges with solarium and spa pool located both on the Sun Deck and on the Main Deck and the large “alfresco dining” area on the Upper Deck, have been designed as versatile and convivial spaces to fully enjoy life. outside.   Gi interiors are extremely welcoming and reveal a contemporary vision of living that blends refined simplicity and formal cleanliness: comfort is ennobled by sophisticated details in an alternation of warm and natural color combinations that blend perfectly with precious materials such as marble,

Watch: CRN delivers 52m superyacht Ciao

Following the successful completion of sea trials, the 52 metre Ciao has been handed over to her owner and is now cruising the east coast of Sardinia. It comes after the yacht was launched at the CRN shipyard in Ancona at the end of May. 

Formerly known as CRN 124, Ciao features a chiselled exterior from Omega Architects and a convivial interior penned by Massari Design , the latter of which also crafted the yacht's exterior social spaces.

The yacht's launch ceremony was attended by the owner and team, plus the senior management and employees of Ferretti Group. The sale of the yacht was finalised in July 2020 with the deal brokered by Eduardo Cury, president of Miami Yacht Access.

The first interior renderings were unveiled in February of this year, with CRN describing the yacht as a "tailor-made creation with a strong artisanal stamp".

The design brief for Ciao came from a knowledgeable owner who requested alfresco living spaces and well-appointed social areas. Key features include a sun deck spa pool and a generous alfresco dining area on the upper deck. 

The design team had plenty of space to develop the yacht's style, with a beam of nine metres, a GT of 499 and  a spacious four-deck layout.

Full-height glass features throughout the superyacht, blurring the lines between indoors and outdoors and offering a continuous connection to the outside world. A subtle tint ensures privacy for guests while in port. Wide expanses of glass extend into the wheelhouse, with three generous windows that create a beautifully unbroken line around the yacht's exterior. 

Accommodation is offered for up to 10 guests in a main-deck owner's suite and four VIP cabins on the lower deck.

Renderings reveal a main saloon with an L-shaped sofa and armchair forward of a dining table for 10, flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows. 

The lower deck’s amenities include a beach club with an “exceptionally spacious multifunctional leisure zone,” according to the yard. The space then leads aft to an open-air living area hosting a TV and bar alongside a shower and hammam in the wellness area.

Ferretti Group has several other fully-custom projects in the work in Ancona, including the 60 metre CRN 141 and the 67 metre CRN 143 .
