The Market at Ale and Compass Gift Shop at Disney’s Yacht Club (Photos of Merchandise)

The Market at Ale and Compass is part gift shop and part resort quick service. For this article, we’ll focus on the Yacht Club’s gift shop and what you can expect to find during your Walt Disney World vacation. We have a separate review of The Market at Ale and Compass quick service if you’re looking for what kind of food items you can expect.

We stay at the Yacht Club regularly and try to update the photos of the resort’s merchandise regularly. These photos were taken in 2024, so every item you see might not be available. However, this should give you a general idea of what type of merchandise the store generally has on hand.

The Yacht Club’s gift shop sits down a hall off the resort’s lobby.

They usually have nautical window displays like the one shown in the photo below.

It’s a sizable gift shop with a boutique feel, similar to the rest of the resort.

Yacht Club’s gift shop is a little higher-end than others. You’ll find brands like Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, and Tommy Bahamas. Of course, they’ll also have a few Disney backpacks and other things. We’ll first preview a few pieces of resort-branded merchandise. I bought this red Yacht Club T-shirt shown in the photo below. Unfortunately, it fell apart after the first wash!

This Mickey Mouse magnet is cute, and the tiny trinket dish says, “Cast Your Cares Away.”

The Yacht Club gift shop has beach bags, tumblers, mugs, hats, and a few other pieces with the resort’s logo.

All of the deluxe resorts have cream or white robes with the resort’s logo. The Yacht Club’s logo is red, blue, and yellow.

A few resort pins for the Yacht Club and Beach Club were available.

The gift shop had a nice selection of men’s apparel.

Here are a few more pieces of men’s clothing.

Next, we have some of the women’s Tommy Bahamas items.

Another display featured the latest Lilly Pulitzer collection.

A case had several pieces of Pandora jewelry.

Yacht Club’s gift shop had a few MagicBand+ and other accessories.

The back corner had a few toys and plush items.

Since Yacht Club shares the tremendous Stormalong Bay pool area with Disney’s Beach Club, the gift shop offers a decent selection of pool merchandise.

The gift shop had a selection of shoes and a few children’s clothing items. Remember to bring comfortable shoes that have been broken in before your trip. We are at the resorts often, and I always notice guests buying a pair of Haivanas, Crocs, or slides because they’ve got blisters.

I took photos of the sundries, health, and personal items. These items are usually available should you need something unexpected or forget to pack something.

Umbrella strollers are available.

Yacht Club’s gift shop had a small selection of higher-end sunglasses. But if you’re looking to buy a nice pair, check out some of the Sunglass Hut shops in the parks. The park locations often have a special where you can buy a pair and get another for half off.

Lastly, a case with various liqueurs sits near the register.

Resort-Specific Merchandise at Disney’s Yacht Club

The Disney World resort hotels offer merchandise selections specific to the hotel. The selection at the Yacht Club is not as large as at many of the other WDW hotels. The items that are available have, not surprisingly, a nautical feel, with images of anchors and sailor stripe motifs. Look for men’s and women’s sportswear, prints of the resort, decorative items like ornaments and magnets, and household glassware.

Very fast service for a hotel market. Food was pretty good. Fair prices too. My large Latte was only $4.25.

PROS A good variety of souvenirs and grab 'n go food options. So plenty of quick sandwiches, drinks from coffee and soft drinks to wine and beer, and desserts. Don't forget the Premium Mickey Bars! (Unfortunately, I did not see the Crumb Cake.) CONS WHY does Disney insist upon strewing chives across so many dishes? We did mobile ordering for Mac 'n Cheese with pork. Chives were mentioned on the menu but the MDE app did not allow for modification to "No chives." So we mentioned "No chives" to the CM at the food prep area. She said no problem. They were busy due to a Disney convention at Yacht Club and ran out of mac n cheese, so we had to wait for more to be prepared and/or delivered. Maybe 20 minutes or so. Our order is finally ready! Drum roll, please...Yes, we got chives. Fine. We also had a Turkey & Swiss sandwich which was fine. (I prefer the Turkey sandwich at Contempo Cafe and Roaring Fork at WL.) I'd call this a fine stop on your way to/from the parks. Haven't found an item that makes it a must do.

Staff is very nice but a big pass on the desserts.... Specifically their Ursula Tart. No idea who thought a spice cake baked in a tart shell with blackberry mousse was a good idea.... It was terrible and after $7 was a waste of taste and money. I sound harsh but you will appreciate the warning. It is really cute and I am sure the little ones will love the design... which is why we tried it out. Would have been so much better with any other flavors

Between the Yacht Club and Beach Club, this spot has more options. It could be due to the BC villas. I was able to score a sugar free vitamin water and some Greek yogurt here. The Ale & Compass market doesn't carry those items. The gift shop section is also bigger than the Yacht club. Both markets are good but the beach club is superior.

We stayed here over Columbus Day week this October and decided to try this spot for a quick dinner and a quick breakfast. I have to say this was not good for either meal and reminded me of the value resorts cafeteria food, which is equally awful. The Marketplace sits inside Disney Beach Club Resort and is inside the gift shop and is basically a quick service snack bar, which has the same selections as the Value resort cafeterias, (Ie. the bounty platter, etc.). The menu is a few quick service items, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, a few sandwiches and a bunch of mac and cheese. We decided to order eggs and sausage and bacon for breakfast and for dinner, mac and cheese and salad. All of these selections were terrible, even looked undercooked and dried out and just downright terrible for the price you pay. I would skip this place and just go into one of the parks before putting yourself through this torture. Also, the gift shop here needs to be larger, why bother with a tiny section for a gift shop?

This place is honestly very underwhelming and not great food we got salads that were fine but they are salads it's hard to mess up and the Mac n cheese which they put goldfish all over and it was not even hot when we got it. All the food here is Pre-made or can be made entirely too fast so just know it's not the best quality and chances of it being hot aren't high. As for the marketplace itself they have merchandise to buy and snacks which is nice and why it got 3 stars instead of less.

Salad you get from the fridge area

I had the Plant-Based Mickey Waffle Breakfast, which included potatoes and plant-based sausage. I really liked the waffles! They weren't as fluffy as the regular or crispy as the regular Mickey waffles, but they had a really nice flavour and a kind of melt-in-your-mouth feel that the regular ones don't. Probably not everyone's preference, but I actually liked the plant-based version better! The potatoes were cooked well and I liked the pieces of pepper tossed in. The sausage was not the most visually appealing - it looked a little raw and probably could have been cooked more - but tasted great. There's no seating here since it's inside the Beach Club gift shop, so everything is packaged to go and you'll have to take the food back to your room or find a place outside. Outside seating isn't far though and very easy to find in the morning. Even though it means no seating, I do like the vibrant marketplace theme, it's fun. All the staff here was really nice.

Plant-Based Mickey Waffles

The Male Manager/Assistant that was working there was extremely rude to us even though we were paying customers.

I was here last year, and the food seemed better at that time. They had a bbq topped macaroni and cheese, but I no longer see that on the menu. Their premade salad options seemed bigger and full of more toppings. The food is still fine, but seems more expensive for what you are getting. Their kids breakfast was decent. I think it was around $8 for 2 mickey waffles, a side and drink. It is nice to have a food option onsite, but I wish there were better options.

Come for the Oreo bon bons and stay for the Oreo bon bons!!!! Heavenly! Mobile order available.
