MYBA Charter Show 2024

2024 is set to see the 34th MYBA Charter Show in Marina Molo Vecchio, Genoa, held between 22nd - 25th April.

Marking the beginning of the Mediterranean charter season, the MYBA Yacht Show in Genoa is a true celebration of yachting. Marina Molo Vecchio has hosted sixteen shows in the past and, once again, MYBA are working closely with the Pesto Sea Group to ensure the success of the event as a productive, engaging and memorable experience. A new set up is being explored by the Show Team; a unique entertainment programme and every possibility of reducing its carbon footprint.

An industry-only event, the MYBA Charter Show sees a breath-taking fleet of superyachts, brokerage firms and yacht crews as it showcases industry-leading designs and exhibitors. Curated by the MYBA, the show represents the association’s commitment to encouraging and upholding high standards across all spheres of the superyacht industry.

MYBA Charter Show brings together the world’s leading charter professionals, providing them with the opportunity to appraise some of the finest, most luxurious yachts available for charter. Unique and exciting elements of the show are the Chef’s Competition, enlightening and engaging seminars and the most excellent networking possibilities available.

2023 saw a special edition of the show; an even more intimate and exclusive event than ever before, with the assistance of yachts of the highest level. We can only expect this kind of exceptional opportunity from the 2024 show: the 34th MYBA Charter Show is not to be missed.

The 2024 MYBA Charter Show dates: the show will take place between 22 - 25 April 2024 in Marina Molo Vecchio, Genoa.

The 2024 MYBA Charter Show is an eagerly awaited event in the luxury superyacht industry. This trade-only show brings together the world’s leading professional charter yacht brokers, providing them with the opportunity to appraise some of the finest  yachts available for charter , meet with Captains and crew, and explore an exceptional array of ancillary services. Now in its 34th edition, the show promises to be bigger and better than ever, with a captivating fleet of luxury yachts for charter and an impressive line-up of industry events.

Scheduled to take place from 22nd to 25th April 2024, for the first time in half a decade, Marina Port Vell in Barcelona gives way to Genoa’s Marina Molo Vecchio as the stage for the 2024 MYBA Charter Show; a one-off basis back to its Genovese roots. Despite this temporary shift in location, the show’s legacy continues unbroken, with anticipation building for over 500 exhibitors expected to attend the event.

The CharterWorld team are looking forward to attending the 2024 MYBA Charter Show, which for the 34 th event has moved to Marina Molo Vecchio in Genoa, Italy. The professional trade show has a long history and dedication to quality and is a true celebration of yachting beginning on 22 nd April until 25 th April 2024.

MYBA Charter Show

As well as the fabulous line up of charter yachts, the show gives brokers the chance to meet with captains and crew and explore what is new and exciting in the world of luxury yacht charter. The highly anticipated Chef’s Competition is back for this year with the standard expected to reach new heights of culinary mastery. Plus, there are excellent opportunities to network with colleagues and enjoy a drink or two in the beautiful surroundings.

Our team pride themselves on their dedication to inspecting yachts, building relationships with owners, captains and crew so that they can recommend their clients exceptional quality charter yachts. Some of the yachts on show this year include:

M/Y CORINTHIA VII | Lurssen | 97.2m (318’11”) | 2002/2023

Mega yacht CORINTHIA VII

Mega yacht CORINTHIA VII is the largest yacht attending this year and is nearly into the 100m + mega yacht category. Having undergone an extensive refit in 2023 she presents in spectacular style with design from Tim Heywood and interiors from Ellerhorst/Kreuter. She really is the one to see!

M/Y EMIR | Golden Yachts | 82.50 m (270′ 8″) | 2004/2022

Mega yacht EMIR

Another mega yacht on display at the show, this time uniquely offering accommodation for up to 28 guests. Her layout is perfect for large events and includes a refined interior with a sizable formal dining room and main salon with grand piano. Other highlights include a sunken jacuzzi, multiple al fresco entertainment areas and a huge collection of water toys. She is in a class of her own.

M/Y AXIOMA | Dunya Yachts | 72.00m (236′ 3″) | 2013/2023

Superyacht AXIOMA

An eye-catching superyacht with a turquoise blue hull and classic good looks both inside and out. Her standout features include a double height atrium and gallery, large infinity pool, spa and gym plus a 3D cinema room. The elegant and predominantly neutral interior is one of the final projects completed by renowned designer Alberto Pinto. She is a particularly remarkable superyacht.

S/Y JASALI II | Perini Navi | 52.90m (173′ 7″) | 1998/206

Sailing yacht JASALI II

A classic performance ketch who has been beautifully maintained and refitted to keep her up to date and fresh. The unique, elevated exterior cockpit and huge deck spaces make her a perfect choice for charterers looking to experience the charm of a sailing yacht with the addition of exciting performance credentials. Her full-time crew of ten look after her all year round and are no doubt delighted to present her during the Show.  Everything you could want on a traditional sailing charter.

M/Y SOLAFIDE | Benetti | 52.00m (170’7”) | 1995/2023

Motor yacht SOLAFIDE

Built in 1995, she is a wonderful example of a classic motor yacht who has been beautifully maintained over the long career. Her original interiors were by Terence Disdale and have been carefully and attentively updated in 2023 to inspire guests for the next generation. A spa pool, helipad, expansive entertainment space and five ensuite staterooms can host charter groups of up to twelve guests in superior comfort. Her great collection of water toys and 12 crew members will keep guests well looked after and entertained throughout their charter. A great example of superyacht longevity.

M/Y ALLURIA | Benetti | 36.90 m (121′ 1″) | 2023

Motor yacht ALLURIA

As one of the newer yachts on show motor yacht ALLURIA is a great example of an innovative sub-40m charter yacht looking to offer guests everything they could wish for. Contemporary yachts embrace their surroundings and here a fabulous beach club will attract guests to the water’s edge while floor to ceiling windows offer continuous views. All the exceptional charter features are here – jacuzzi pool, al fresco living, inviting interiors and water sports galore. The best of the contemporary yachts on show.

M/Y EM3 | Sanlorenzo | 27.43m (90′) | 2023

Motor yacht EM3

Another contemporary new build, motor yacht EM3 is a great mid-size charter vessel with superyacht aesthetics and features including a sleek profile, main deck master and Scandinavian inspired interior. The team love inspecting new charter yachts looking for gems to add to their list of recommendations. She is one to add to our schedule.

It is great to see the MYBA Charter Show back in the heart of the Mediterranean charter region where the Italian coastline boarders the French Riviera .

The MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona is nearly here and this what you can expect

We’ve been counting down the days to the MYBA Charter Show in Barcelona show since it finished last year and we cannot wait for things to kick off next week. With an incredible line up of yachts, our favourite people from across the industry in attendance, and (according to the forecast) sunshine all week, we reckon this is going to the best MYBA show yet!

Need a little more convincing? Well, this is just some of what you can expect…

Beautiful yachts (obviously)

Yeah ok, we’ll get the obvious one out of the way first. If you checked out our blog on the biggest boats in the show you will already have a bit of an idea of what to expect. Since publishing, in the league of big boats LEGEND at 77m has been knocked off the top spot by ALFA NERO – who comes into first place at 82m. MARTHA ANN is another recent confirmation and completes the list at 70.1m. This means there will be seven yachts over 70m in attendance – a record for the show!

Of course, it isn’t all about size and there is going to be a fantastic selection of yachts on offer no matter what size range is most appropriate for your clients. With a jam-packed marina at One Ocean Port Vell , you will be sure to find exactly what you’re after.

There is going to be a lot of great food

Barcelona is a foodie heaven. From tapas to paella your taste buds will be sizzling so make the time to check out some of the great restaurants on offer.

You won’t have to venture far as around the marina alone, there is a lot of choice. If you’re after seafood make sure you check out Barceloneta , head to La Bombeta if you’re after a truly authentic Catalan experience and if you’re happy to venture a little further in to town, Acces with absolutely knock your socks off.

No time to leave the show? Well, don’t worry because some of the best provisioners in the business are going to be in attendance, and their stands inside the MYBA Charter Show are ones not to miss. The Mansueto Group has been in the business for years and are well known for both their impeccable wine selection and the exquisite food selection that is all personally selected by the Mansueto family. Also make sure you seek out Dutch brand Neko Yacht Supply , who have put together a vast selection of fine foods and beverages from across the world, working with only with best quality ingredients available.

Both these stands will offer a mouth-watering experience and their own drinks events, so go and check them out!

A flavour of competition

There are going to be a variety of crew focused competitions taking place throughout the week and they’re kind of a big deal.

Yacht chefs who choose to enter the competition and are successful will automatically enter the rest of their crew for the table display and ‘meet and greet’ competitions (no pressure guys). Judging will take place over three days and yachts will be split into categories according to their size (56m+, 43m – 55m and under 42m).

Chefs will be expected to put together five different finger foods along with a full-size dish which must be served within 25 minutes or they will be eliminated. The table displays will be set for either lunch or dinner with the theme ‘MYBA 30th Anniversary’, whilst the meet and greet team will have to welcome the judges as if they were charter guests. With prizes at stake and reputations on the line, the competition is fierce!

The weather is going to be glorious

Ok, so maybe some of you from warmer climbs wouldn’t quite describe it as ‘glorious’, but with highs of 20 degrees next week those of us that haven’t seen the sun in months are getting pretty excited (and panic packing sun cream). Given that’s it’s tradition for it to always rain at yacht shows, it’s probably a good idea to pack your brolly just in case though…

The nightlife will be rocking

Some of us will be able to have an absolutely cracking night out without even leaving the show, but if you’re really desperate to hit the town, you are never going to run out of options in Barcelona.

From aftershow parties to the infamous yacht hop, you will be in networking heaven. With a cocktail in hand, you’ll be rubbing shoulders will all sorts of industry experts and catching up with all those pals you only ever get to see at the yacht shows.

If you’re on the hunt for cocktails and keen to get out into the city make sure you head to the El Born district. Collage is fab, or if you’re feeling a bit peckish why not try out Creps al Born , because what could be nicer than crepes and cocktails??

If you’re looking for a totally wild time though go to Razzmatazz. With 5 different clubs in one, there’s a reason it’s arguably Barcelona’s number one spot…

Organised by the industry for the industry, the MYBA Yacht Charter Show 2022 makes its return to Barcelona's Port Vell.

Formerly hosted in Italy, the  MYBA Yacht Charter Show  has since moved to the elegant setting of OneOcean Port Vell in Barcelona .

The 2022 edition of the show is set to attract yachting professionals to the Spanish city, where they will have ample opportunities to network and peruse a large fleet of yachts available for crewed yacht charter vacations .

The anticipated fleet of models attending is set to include a wide range of motor yachts, sailing boats and more.

Social events

Making their welcomed return following the two years of cancellations, two competitions will be enlivening the show experience.

The Chef’s Competition will be serving up a mouthwatering menu in a bid to impress a panel of judges, and the Tabletop competition will be putting stewardesses through their paces.

On top of this, there is expected to be a number of social events designed to facilitate networking and fostering connections while at the show, both in and around Ocean Port Vell.

As one of the most in-demand marinas in Spain and the wider Mediterranean , OneOcean Port Vell is the perfect location to host this increasingly-popular yachting meet.
