  • Kevandkaren 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Charming A very charming and lovely morning spent at the folklore event. Was great to learn more about the history of Konavle in the museum, lovely to take a look at some of the stalls (although lots of very similar stuff), nice place to get a drink with the family and finished off with the folk dancing (adults & children). Lovely morning in a stunning setting! Read more Written September 8, 2022
  • Ruth K 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Interesting visit to cilipi We actually took a taxi from our hotel in cavtat, Hotel Croatia, we were dropped on the main road by the supermarket and within 2 minutes we at the event. It costs 80 kuna to enter and you receive a ticket for a drink and entrance to the museum. The show starts at 11.15 am and finishes at 12pm. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning, the museum was very interesting ( probably the best we have been in since arriving in croatia, and we went into a lot in Dubrovnik!) We decided we would walk back to Cavtat strong shoes, suncream and water are a must. The path is well signposted and the terrain changes quite a bit.We came across 6 other people so was nice to get away from the crowds. It took us through forest and gave amazing views. The walk took 2hrs 15mins to the door of Hotel Croatia. Well work the visit, I would recommend taxi there, walk back. Read more Written August 21, 2022
  • Nadja K 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles 4 hours in Venice for 8 hours of travel… I wish we went by car 4 hours in Venice for 8 hours of travel… I wish we went by car. At the selling office they don’t really specify that, but the reality is that travel is unbearably long and you get just 4 hours in Venice. We were at 7 AM in port of Umag… and we walked on the ground of Venice at 11.30 AM: queue to check in, then passport control, then board the catamaran, sail, get out of the boat (300 people or so) and get through Italian passport control. And you get out in San Basilio port, which is kind of 30 mins away still from the touristic attractions. Guided tour in Venice is kind of included but in reality you can’t use it unless you pay extra 90 euros for an adult: part of the guided tour will happen on a taxi boat that you need to pay for (the extra), and the second part will be on San Marco - where you have little chance to get on time unless you pay for the taxi. 4 PM we should be back to the port to repeat all procedures in reverse order. 8 PM we were back and free at Umag port. Add to this the transportation from and to your hotel… Read more Written August 17, 2022
  • Cheryl E 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Left stranded in the Sea During a week’s cruise on the Atlas Aloha Princess boat we anchored for 90 minutes about 20 minutes swim from Bol beach and were all encouraged to swim there. On our return swim around 8 minutes from our boat the boat departed leaving my friend and I stranded in the water. Eventually a dingy belonging to the Katerina Fantazija cruise picked us up. The manageress explained that never had they experienced such an incident and that the cruise manager’s responsibility is to make sure that the cruise ship never leaves till the last person is aboard. Small cruises simply list on a board names of passengers going in and out of the water. Our boat did not adopt any system neither before or after the incident nor utilized their tender to check if all passengers were out of the water as other cruises did. Returning a few hours later Alex the manager of our boat remarked that this sort of thing “happens all the time”! It took them 30 minutes to notice we were not on board. We understood from our own experience and those on the boat that picked us up the gravity of this experience that could have endangered our lives and we want to reiterate that no check was ever made before or after this incident as to whom goes in and out of the water. We hope the cruise company decides to install a security procedure like the other cruise ships and urge you to check this before booking an Atlas cruise. Incredibly Atlas did not assume any responsibility in this case Cheryl Bradfield-Eman & Sara Hamoui Read more Written December 2, 2019

His knowledge of history of this area is impeccable and he is able to tell it in an interesting way. Miri was an amazing drive on the many beds up and down the mountain. We cannot over-praise his tireless efforts to make sure everyone enjoys the day and is well informed about local culture, Croatian and Yugoslav history. • Lilacwheaty 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Fantastic guide makes this a most enjoyable and informative trip What made this day trip work really well for us was the effort put in by the local guide, Daniel. We admired the energy of Daniel and the coach driver, throughout a very long day for them, keeping us entertained with Croatian and Yugoslavian history and culture without flagging, and doing everything possible to make the day a success. The itinery was followed, with some flexibility. The food and drink tasting was not rushed, and was generously provided. • Karen H 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Bosnia and waterfalls We booked this day tour with Atlas Dubrovnik. First thing to say is the journey time on the bus is long. However our guide Daniel (second day with Daniel) made this much easier. Daniel is a capable and confident guide. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining. The journey time went by faster. Because of Daniel, we gained an insight into the history of Croatia, former Yugoslavia, the 1992 war, the political structure and challenges of current day Bosnia. It was really enlightening. The time in Mostar was eye-opening. Our local guide Alex was engaging and friendly and good to listen to during the walking tour around Mostar old town. However one part of the tour- at the bridge I found it difficult to hear what was said due to several other walking tours all congregating together and all talking at the same time. Kravice waterfalls was a pleasant and scenic place to round off the day. The little train a welcome option to travel down to the waterfall (and more importantly back up!). The return train journey was not quite as pleasant due to the unsavoury and dangerous behaviour of a large family group on the train. I have to give a special mention to our bus driver -Nick. His skillfull driving carefully and precisely negotiated around Dubrovnik's small and tight roads - often with centimetres or even millimetres to spare. I would recommend this tour, but be aware of the long bus journey. Read more Written October 28, 2019

Our guide Daniel was friendly, welcoming, entertaining, very knowledgeable and also very proud of his town. We learned a lot in the 90mins tour. Daniel (in thirty years + of travel our best guide by far) was our guide and described from the heart the history of Yugoslavia and the turn of events leading to the 1990s war and what his experiences of Sarajevo and being a refugee. Although the border crossings eight in all (Brexit voters take note) were rather annoying the views to and including Mostar and Kravice waterfalls were spectacular. Nothing was too much trouble. And the sites were fascinating, particularly Mostar. 2nd tour in 2 days with Daniel and was absolutely delighted when we found we had him again. Without question, the best tour guide we've had and we've been on many tours! Mostar is a genuinely fascinating destination, the locals are friendly everything is reasonably priced, food is surprisingly excellent and the street vendors are not pushy at all. The waterfalls were great, no crowds although the water in October was absolutely freezing! I really can't recommend this trip highly enough! Read more Written October 17, 2019

If you’re bringing more than one piece of check-in luggage, you’ll have to pay an extra 10€ (20€ if you’re paying on check-in)

Cats need to be transported in appropriate cages. Dogs cannot be larger than 60 cm in length and 50 cm in height (from the head down). All dogs must be in possession of a leash and a mouth muzzle. A leash wrapped around the mouth of the dog is not considered as a mouth muzzle. All animals have to be announced at the time of booking. It is important to know that you may not be seated next to your pet during the voyage.

Yes, you can bring your bike on board Venezia Lines catamarans, but note there’s limited space for storing bikes. Also, an additional cost of 10€ needs to be payed.

When traveling to Venice from Croatian ports (and vice versa), you need a passport or an identity card valid for foreign travel. The passport has to be valid fo at least 90 days from the return date. If you’re documents are expiring soon, it’s recommended to renew them on time. Driver’s licence is not a valid travel document for these routes.

It’s recommended to be at the port as early as possible. Passengers need to check-in before boarding the catamaran. In all ports, check-in starts an houre before departure, and it ends 15 minutes before departure. Also, Venezia Lines recommends to double check the time/date of vessel departure at least 24h before departure.
