Located in a privileged location with stunning views over the Bay of Palma, the Restaurant of Club Nàutic Arenal offers a Mediterranean atmosphere and an attractive offer of fish and meat dishes, Mallorca cuisine recipes as well as a complete wine list.

Enjoy its paellas and rice dishes, the calderetas, fresh fish of the day, salads and interesting snack options. A quality daily menu is also served from Monday to Sunday at a reasonable price. Vegan and Gluten-free menus are also available.

The Restaurant has an indoor area with capacity to accommodate up to 200 persons as well as an amazing terrace, overlooking the sea and the harbour, for all kind of celebrations

We are open from the early morning until late at night to offer our guests breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The luxurious yacht club in the heart of Palma Bay: The Real Club Náutico is one of the most important marinas in the Balearic Islands and thus a sought-after maritime meeting place. Cruising Guide to Mallorca: Marinas, Bays, Restaurants

Mallorca is our favourite cruising destination in the Mediterranean which we passionately promote to our customers. This affection has its grounds – the island is an ideal mix of advantages for those travelling by boat. Whether you are at the helm of your own boat or you charter it with a skipper, have a look at the Cruising Guide to Mallorca with our personal selection of the places to visit on this wonderful island.

1. mallorca is comfortable with its marinas.

In the last 15 years, the whole Mediterranean part of Spain including the Balearics has witnessed an enormous development in yachting facilities. As a result, now the island of Mallorca boasts probably the largest number of marinas in the Mediterranean, all just a few hours’ sail from each other.

Walking along the city seafront promenade Paseo Maritimo all you can see is kilometres of snow-white vessels from smaller boats up to super yachts. This is the area of Port of Palma de Mallorca and home to at least 6 marinas. And all of them deserve to be mentioned in our Cruising Guide to Mallorca.

Marina Moll Vell boasts probably the most sheltered location in the port, away from the winds and the boats passing by. The world-famous Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma and the old town with its generous dining and shopping options are just a short walk from the marina. The only disappointment is the size – Moll Vell offers as little as 26 berths for the boats up to 42 metres. +34 971 716 332; VHF Channel 09; [email protected]

Marina Palma Cuarentena and Marina Port de Mallorca are also based in the port though a bit further away. Both marinas are modern, safe and well equipped, with the first one being smaller but cosy, and with very helpful staff; and the second one being larger and therefore easier to find a berth in the popular summer season.  Marina Palma Cuarentena +34 971 454 395; VHF channel 09 or 16; [email protected] .  Marina Port de Mallorca +34 971 289 693; VHF channel 09 or 16; [email protected] .

Quite a remote location from Palma’s downtown does not make Puerto Portals Marina less lively. With its own exclusive restaurants, fashion boutiques, yacht dealers’ and estate agents’ offices operating here, Puerto Portals can easily make up for a little town of the wealthy people. Not sure if any other marina on the island spoils its visitors with a bigger choice of things to buy. +34 971 17 11 00; VHF Channel 9; [email protected]

Outside of Palma, it is worth to check Club de Vela Marina in Port of Andratx, on the extreme southwestern end of Mallorca. The marina is well equipped and boasts very attractive surroundings with a pleasant touristy village nearby. +34 971 671 721; VHF channel 9 or 16; [email protected]

In the north east of Mallorca, there is Port de Pollenca , many boaters’ favourite place to be. It offers amazing scenery with Serra de Tramuntana mountains in the background and the stunning beaches of Cala Figuera, Cala Murta, and Cala Formentor nearby. The medieval town of Pollenca is only 6 kilometres drive away and an absolute must-see! Pay attention to the depth of the marina: 2.8 metres at the entrance, and 2.7 metres inside. +34 971 86 46 35; VHF channel 09; [email protected]

Just next door to Bay of Pollenca is Bay of Alcudia with its Alcudiamar Marina . Though shallow (the maximum draught is 4 metres), it is well equipped, safe, and boasts a very friendly staff. Take a short pleasant walk to the old town and check its welcoming bars and restaurants. +34 971 54 60 00; VHF Channel 09; [email protected]

2. Mallorca is beautiful with its bays

Choosing the most beautiful bays for our Cruising Guide to Mallorca was extremely difficult. Often rocky and difficult to reach by land, the cosy beaches and bays of Mallorca are a feast for the eye with their crystal clear cobalt water and dramatic backdrops.

Cruising along the northern end of Mallorca make sure you stop by Cala Castell , one of the most private bays for boaters on this coast. Anchoring is good here though care must be taken when the wind blows from the north.

More stunning coves are waiting for you around Cap de Formentor . One of them is Cala Murta, a very sheltered little bay with a secluded beach surrounded by breathtaking cliffs.

Cap des Pinar hides one of the most virgin coves in Mallorca. Formerly the beach of this bay was a restricted area controlled by the military. The cape is a part of the nature reserve of Victoria peninsula. Approaching the cape from the north, stop at Calo de sa Figuera , a small rocky bay with a white sandy bottom under the crystal clear water. Though be careful with the northern or northeastern wind when dropping the anchor there.

Keep on cruising down east and stop at Cala Mitjana and Cala Varques . Both bays are simply fabulous as well as well protected from the winds. Have lunch and a pleasant swim in their turquoise waters enjoying the sights of the low cliffs and pine trees around.

Travelling down south get ready for the definite highlight of your cruise. It will be Cala Llombards , a little bay squeezed between two rock walls topped with pine trees. Don’t look any further to drop anchor, especially with the southern or southeastern wind. Dive into the clear waters, step on the sandy beach and have a refreshing drink at the local beach hut bar.

Take a short cruise down to Calo des Moro , often called one of last paradise spots of Mallorca. This sheltered but shallow bay with the sandy ground is ideal for anchoring of small boats. Its amazing neighbour, the bay of Cala s’Almunia , is even smaller and may need exploring by tender or canoe. But it is definitely worth it!

Don’t miss Cala des Marmols , one of the most secluded bays of the island. Its white sand, marble rocks, and clear water with sandy bottom are more than enough to make you stay here for several hours or even a day. And make sure to stop at Cala Pi , one of the most beautiful bays to anchor. The long and narrow bay ends with a marvellous little beach. But due to the tightness consider exploring it by tender.

Carry on your journey up west and get impressed by Cala Llamp , a spacious crescent bay with calm sky blue waters and a picturesque backdrop of Serra de Tramuntana mountains. Anchoring is better when the wind comes from the south, south-east or west. A beach club ashore will be happy to entertain you and serve a yummy lunch or dinner.

Cala Tuent is another gorgeous bay to stop in. The view of Puig Major, Mallorca’s highest mountain (1,445m) is a great bonus to the swimming and sightseeing here. And a lovely restaurant is here to offer you food and drinks.

Enjoy the splendid views of the impressive Sierra de Tramuntana mountains and Sa Foradada rock with a round hole in the bay of  Cala na Foradada . During the southern wind, anchoring here is recommended on the other side of the rocks.

3. Mallorca is hospitable with its restaurants.

Our Cruising Guide to Mallorca would not be complete without its fantastic eating places. This is exactly what you need when stepping ashore. The variety of the local restaurants, tapas and cocktail bars leaves you speechless. A fine Michelin-starred dining or a generous meal in the tiny fishing village, a glass of cava with a breathtaking sea view or a cup of coffee on a lively street of the old town – in Mallorca you find it all.

Start you gastronomical adventure in the downtown of Palma de Mallorca and let the famous Abaco Bar be your first stop. This exceptional place needs to be on every traveller’s agenda. Hidden behind the massive wooden doors it amazes you once step inside. What is it? A museum? An old mansion? A fruit and flower show? Have a walk around and treat yourself to one of Abaco cocktails. Now it’s time for dinner. Look no further than Tirso & Tapas right in the centre of Palma, a perfect mix of the fine tapas bar and high cuisine restaurant at very fair prices. The dishes on the menu are so creative both in the choice of ingredients as well as in the presentation. Club de Mar-Mallorca is one of the leading yacht clubs on the island of Mallorca. Its members, as well as its clients, are the fundamental pillar that has made the club grow to what it is today. With more than 500 moorings for large yachts and small boats, a sports area with first-class instructors and exclusive assistance, the club provides a service that meets high quality standards.

History of the club

On 1st June 1972, Club de Mar-Mallorca was born, a project conceived with the aim of attracting large yachts from the Côte d’Azur to the bay of Palma. It had only been a few months since its opening that the club was already mooring boats of important public personalities, making it a must-visit place for nautical enthusiasts. For more than 50 years, the club has worked to offer an exclusive and personalised service, as well as making first class facilities available to all visitors.

The club is currently working on a 360º improvement of its facilities. Construction work started in 2020 and is currently continuing to build the new clubhouse, which will consist of 4 buildings. These innovative facilities will pioneer sustainable methods, as well as being modern and sophisticated, in order to continue offering the highest quality services. In addition, the new club will be open to the city of Palma, one of the most novel changes and one that will combine perfectly with the new Paseo Marítimo.

This building, overlooking the Marina, is the largest of all and will house the facilities, mainly for club staff and members. Offices, members-only areas, a swimming pool, restaurants, cafeterias and much more will be spread over this 3-storey building.

They will house the exclusive shopping area open to all citizens. In addition, it will have event and meeting rooms that can be used for different purposes.

This is where the car park is located. And the top floor will house a party room, a place where entertainment and fun will be the stars of the show.
