*There is a $5 deposit per kayak due upon booking, which goes toward the price of your rental~ you will be responsible for paying the remaining balance at the time of your rental. Deposits are refundable if you cancel 12 hours or more in advance or in the event of inclement weather . Confirmation emails typically end up in your junk mail folder, unfortunately. If you’d like to paddle any other route besides the canal, please note it in the comment section when making your reservation! Please also note that on week days there may only be one person working meaning that they are also assuming the role of shuttling people back from the endpoint and may not always be on site, so last minute/ day of reservations may have to wait a little while****

We also encourage bigger groups (20+) to download and sign waivers prior to showing up for rentals as it speeds up the process exponentially!

· Paddles, lifevests, whistles are included in price · Shuttle price is per person (kids and military free) ·  You may want to stage a second car at the boat ramp at Lake Olmstead to avoid shuttle price (address is 2200 broad street or type in julien smith casino for Apple Maps)! Another way to avoid the shuttle price is by biking- we can bring your bike down and you can ride it back (or vice versa if you have your own bike- ride it up from endpoint and we will bring it back down to you)! If you don’t have a bike but would like to do this, rent one from The Bicycle Peddler who’s shop is located just up from us in the Savannah Rapids Park; give them a call at (706)373-4519 for info on bikes. 

Other things to consider bringing:

• -Water, snacks, a small cooler
• -Cell phone (in case of emergencies)
• -A dry bag or even just a zip lock bag
• -A parent/guardian to sign a waiver for anyone under the age of 18

Where is the parking for the Augusta Riverwalk?  Parking can be found near the Riverwalk entry points on 10th Street by the Augusta Marriott, in a large lot near the 8th Street entrance and the 6th Street entrance near the Augusta Museum of History. 

Are there attractions near the Augusta Riverwalk?  Yes. The Morris Museum of Art is located at the 10th Street entrance, the Augusta Museum of History is located at the 6th Street entry, the 5th Street Pedestrian Bridge is nearby on 5th Street, a block over is the Springfield Village Park , and a couple of blocks over is downtown Augusta located on Broad Street. 

Are there places to eat near the Augusta Riverwalk?  Yes, there are several restaurants located near the Riverwalk and plenty in downtown Augusta, which is just a few blocks over on Broad Street.  

Are there places to stay near the Augusta Riverwalk?  Yes. The Augusta Marriott is located right off the Riverwalk and the Hyatt House is just a few blocks over on Broad Street. 

Is the Augusta Riverwalk wheelchair accessible?  Yes. A wheelchair can access the Riverwalk via entry points on 10th Street by the Augusta Marriott, in a large lot near the 8th Street entrance and the 6th Street entrance near the Augusta Museum of History.    Are dogs allowed on the Augusta Riverwalk?  Yes. The Riverwalk is a great place for leashed dogs. Due to a large number of walkers, runners, families, and children, you're encouraged to keep your dog on a leash.
