In summer months, CHRISTINA O is available for charters in the Mediterranean, South of France, Italy and Greece. In the winter, the yacht is available to charter in the Caribbean.

The CHRISTINA O yacht is one of the most written about yachts in history. It has been a part of some of the most iconic events of the last century. It served in World War II at the D-Day Landings and hosted some of the world’s most influential people during Onassis’ glorious years. Today, the yacht is available for charter and offers a unique opportunity to cruise in style and comfort.

Whether it is corporate incentives, wedding anniversaries, special birthdays, or just to cruise and relax with your loved ones, the CHRISTINA O yacht is the perfect setting for world-class entertaining. It has more deck space than most yachts built today and can cruise with up to 157 guests on board (subject to terms and conditions). The elegant dining room can accommodate up to 42 people, 28 of which can sit at the main table.

With its 17 beautifully appointed cabins, the CHRISTINA O yacht can accommodate up to 34 guests on board. The yacht’s Head Chef produces Michelin Star standard cuisine, assisted by the Pastry Chef in creating fabulous desserts. There is also a Sushi Master and an expert in Asian and Japanese cuisine on board. If you are a wine lover, the CHRISTINA O team also includes a wine expert to enhance your experience.

Built in the 1940s, the era of unbridled opulence and lavish hospitality as the perfect private enclave for entertaining heads of state and celebrities, 325ft (99.13m) CHRISTINA O is a legendary yacht with myriad unique features. CHRISTINA O was designed by billionaire Greek shipping magnate, Aristotle Onassis with pleasure and relaxation in mind and named after his beloved daughter.

Onassis, one of the great entrepreneurs and visionaries of his time, conjured this remarkable vessel abounding in character and charm and which has since been refit to impeccable contemporary standards while maintaining the elegance and allure of the 40s.

Guests will be captivated by the sheer size and space aboard CHRISTINA O. There are various deck spaces for entertaining, relaxing and socialising, including the impressive pool deck with its mosaic swimming pool, dining tables and retractable roof; jacuzzi deck with circular bar, seating and umbrellas; an elegant dining terrace and Compass deck with sunlounges.

The glamorous backdrop for entertaining some of the world’s most famous politicians, performers and high-profile guests, CHRISTINA O has been impeccably brought into the modern age, without losing any of her original features.

CHRISTINA O boasts several lounge rooms, formal dining rooms, library, gym, spa with two full-time therapists for massage and treatments, and a cinema room and three pianos onboard for entertainment. There is an impressive circular staircase linking all decks, or an elevator if you prefer.

An outdoor ‘Callas stage’ was constructed on deck, to complement the concert room below, which once hosted performers of the stature of Maria Callas. Other original areas include the Onassis Suite and the cosy and atmospheric Ari’s Bar which comprises a bar made from a piece of timber salvaged from sunken Spanish galleon and decorated with various other ‘treasures’ accumulated by its charismatic former owner.

The on board gym comprises the latest equipment, including two Cybex programmable semi-recumbent bicycles, one Power Plate, one Life Fitness 9500 HR ellipitical bike cross trainer, one Life Fitness Treadmill 9500 HR, plus various free weights and bench.

Befitting her stature and significance, the décor throughout CHRISTINA O is a warm blend of classic and contemporary styling, with fascinating details that will intrigue and delight charter guests.

ACCOMMODATION

CHRISTINA O boasts 17 well-appointed cabins with accommodation for up to 34 guests in absolute luxury.

There are 17 doubles, 14 of which can be converted into twin beds. The master suite is supremely spacious, with a sitting room and library. 10 main deck cabins benefit from their position amidships and are roomy and wide. The two cabins in the bow are the only ones that don’t convert double/twin. The six cabins on the lower deck convert from double to twin and have the same kind of amenities and bathrooms as those on the main deck. Every cabin is equipped with flat screens TVs and DVDs.

All guest cabins have been completely refurbished in similar style and still use the names of Greek islands, as accorded by Onassis. The pastel colour scheme in all the cabins was selected by Jackie O who was also responsible for much of the original styling.

WATERTOYS & TENDERS

CHRISTINA O is on a par with the most modern of superyachts in her arsenal of the latest watertoys and tenders. There are two luxurious Hacker Craft Prestige varnished limousine tenders which can transport up to eight guests each.

For towing, there’s "Black Mamba" 850 (new 2018) RIB tender and an "Olympic Cruiser" 720 (new 2018) sport tender.

Kids of all ages, and kids at heart, will enjoy the fun of assorted inflatable ringos, a six-person banana, snorkelling gear and the Toboggan Aquaglide with a 6.5m slide from the top of the vessel to the water. For those guests looking for more thrilling activities, CHRISTINA O is set-up as an RYA watersports centre. There are two Seadoo Spark 900 HO three-seaters, one Seadoo GTI 120 CV, one Hoverboard and a Flyboard.

To ensure guests’ wishes are fulfilled and exceeded, there’s a crew of 38, all of them dedicated to conveying the unique character of CHRISTINA O and creating a sublime charter for guests.

The yacht’s Head Chef produces Michelin Star quality cuisine, assisted by the Pastry Chef who is renowned for delectable desserts. There is also a Sushi Master and expert in Asian and Japanese cuisine on board. For connoisseurs of wine, the wine expert is on hand to create extraordinary experiences to complement the dining.

For onboard corporate and private events, CHRISTINA O can host between 150 and 250 guests, depending on location.

When does a yacht become more than a yacht? Christina O is very special. She has a history intertwined with the unique story of Aristotle Onassis, Maria Callas, Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (Jackie O), Sir Winston Churchill, JFK, and many of the most important people of the 20 th Century. A powerful story that you instantly feel connected to when you go on board.

The famous Ari’s Bar on board Christina O is unchanged from the day in 1956 when Ari Onassis took delivery of the most impressive superyacht anybody had ever seen, and you can enjoy cocktails in the bar sitting on the same famous bar stools.

Fabulous outside bar

The outside bar on Christina O is still to this day better than any outside bar on any modern yacht of any size. We challenge you to suggest a better one!

Full sized swimming pool or dancefloor

The famous pool with a recreation of Minoan art on its mosaic floor (lovingly restored) is the same one that was specified by Onassis. Even more remarkable the mechanism that raises and lowers this huge mosaic floor is still the same mechanism from 1956, and still works perfectly.

The pool can be filled and emptied quickly compared to modern yachts, and when not being used, the floor being in the raised position means that the prime real estate can be used rather than being a big empty (dangerous) hole! You will see that this Pool Deck space is used all the time for al-fresco dining, including the ever-popular BBQ evenings. The metal surround of the pool is original and needs polishing two or three times a day.

Al fresco dining

The Compass Deck forward of the famous yellow funnel has been renovated to create a new outside dining area, with shade and integrated lighting. The new teak on this deck matches the new teak on all the other decks – Christina O has never looked better in her many years as undisputed queen of superyachts.

Relax in the Lapis Lounge

Equally comfortable as a drawing room is the Jackie O Lounge, also called the Lapis Lounge with its incredible Lapis Lazuli fireplace, and self-playing piano. There are plenty of photos of how this room was used by Onassis as a place for his family gatherings and as a place for powerful people to get together and enjoy relaxed conversation. JFK met Sir Winston Churchill for the first time on this yacht, in Ari’s Bar. Churchill also met Tito for the first time in the Lapis Lounge.

Impressive speed

The speed of Christina O is impressive. She was built as a frigate for chasing down U-Boats in World War II, and as such she needed to be able to reach 19 knots, which she can still do today thanks to her streamlined hull design and plenty of horsepower. Highly manoeuvrable as well with her twin screw propulsion. The engines and generators are relatively new, installed in 2001. She is equipped with a new Air Conditioning system.

The Onassis Suite

Known as the Onassis Suite, the yacht’s master stateroom on the bridge deck amidships comprises three rooms: large sleeping quarters, a white Penteli marble bathroom and a book-lined study with the original onyx fireplace.

Spa and Beauty Salon

A complete spa and beauty area with two massage rooms is staffed by full time therapists, offering massages and treatments, manicures and pedicures throughout your stay. A full spa menu is offered with no additional charge during the charters. A gym is also located within the spa.d

Starting life in World War Two as a Canadian frigate, Christina O was purchased in 1954 by Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, who transformed her into the most luxurious private yacht of her time. She went on to host a wealth of illustrious guests, ranging from Marilyn Monroe and Frank Sinatra to John F Kennedy and Winston Churchill.

Onassis epitomised the life of the superyacht elite, garnering a reputation as the original jetsetter, but following his death in 1975, Christina O fell into disrepair. Luckily, a meticulous restoration project led by a family friend of Onassis was completed in 2001 and, today, charterers can enjoy the resonance of her unique past with the ultimate in luxurious accommodation and on-board service.

EXTERIOR DESIGN

Styled in the early fifties by Caesar Pinnau, the exterior of Christina O easily stands out among other superyachts on today’s charter market thanks to her distinctive clipper bow, long sheer line, rounded superstructure and dazzling white topsides, and this is not forgetting her trademark, vibrant yellow funnel. The top level of the yacht, known as the compass deck, is well-primed for sunning, with a line of chaise loungers and a bar, while the spacious promenade deck below features an aft spa pool, and alfresco dining and bar setup. Most impressive is the main deck, where Onassis’ swimming pool has been faithfully restored with its renowned Minoan bull and vaulter mosaic. What’s more, the bottom of the pool can be raised to form a dance floor.

INTERIOR DESIGN

Christina O’s expansive interior was completely gutted during her most recent refit, with notable artefacts salvaged and sensitively restored. Aftermost on the main deck is the Lapis Lounge, named after its original lapis fireplace, which remains in place, and decorated in the style of an English country manor house. The main deck is also home to a dining salon with a 24-seater table, and the Aris Bar, which boasts its original rope-covered bar, whale fang bar handles and whale-skin bar stools. A majestic atrium with a striking mosaic of the Onassis omega logo then allows guests to access the two further salons on the promenade deck above via a spiral staircase.

An iconic vessel on which Maria Callas sang and Winston Churchill engaged in heated political debate with Aristotle Onassis. A place where John F Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Onassis, Margot Fonteyn, Frank Sinatra, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, amongst other giants from the worlds of royalty, Hollywood and politics, could kick back and enjoy the romance and legendary hospitality synonymous with Christina O. The wedding reception of Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly was held on board and the supermodel Heidi Klum recently married her beau on the yacht.

However, to fully understand the incredible history of this magnificent 99.13m superyacht, you need to travel back almost a century to her humbler, yet nonetheless impressive, beginnings.

Built in 1943 by Canadian Vickers, this one-time frigate, originally known as Stormont, played an active part in the Second World War, including participation in the D Day landings and escorting convoys of ships providing defence. In late 1944, she reportedly spend a record 63 days at sea – the longest active period of any frigate during the war.

However post-war she had the good fortune to be acquired by Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, who decided to invest in rebuilding and renovating her, completing an amazing metamorphosis from illustrious war vessel to one of the world’s most famous and celebrated superyachts.  

Named after his daughter, Christina O – then called Christina - became a favoured destination for world leaders, movie stars and the business elite during the 1950s and 60s - an invitation on board was regarded as the pinnacle of arriving in society. Today’s guests can luxuriate in the knowledge that they are also experiencing that same sense of old-world charm and sophistication combined with seven star service in a stylish and classic environment unlike any other.

She has been consistently upgraded in the intervening years to offer every aspect of 21st century luxury and technology which sits perfectly alongside original features like the impressive circular staircase and vintage handrails.  

One of many features setting Christina O apart from other superyachts is her immense deck space. The outdoor bar and jacuzzi deck combined with the famous swimming pool deck and compass deck provide an extensive space that is hard to equal, as comfortable for 20 guests as for a cocktail party at anchor or a day cruise for 157.

Among her most astounding wow factors is the 1.6m deep mosaic swimming pool installed in the 1950s which can be raised for both aesthetics and safety when the water is removed. Guests often like to use this space as a dancefloor for parties under the stars and is a spot where many great memories have been made.

In addition to her impressive exterior spaces, Christina O offers 17 beautifully appointed cabins sleeping 34 guests - the Onassis Suite has a stunning fireplace with a Renoir hanging above it - and all other cabins are named after Greek islands. She also boasts an array of stylish reception rooms in which to relax and be transported back to another time.

The Jackie O Lapis Lounge is filled with rare books and this grand, yet cosy wood-panelled salon features an extraordinary lapis-lazuli fireplace made from this most sought-after stone, which is reputed to enhance the memory.

Ari’s Bar, meanwhile, is probably the most famous and iconic room on board. With a bar crafted from the wood of an ancient Spanish galleon, it is decorated with atmospheric black and white portraits of previous guests including John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. It was the setting for numerous great historical meetings of minds, notably the first encounter between John F Kennedy and Winston Churchill, who made an incredible nine voyages on the yacht.

The Maria Callas Lounge is dedicated to Ari’s grand amour of opera, whose exquisite recorded arias still drift around the lounge. A grand Steinway piano is available for guests to play and a remote-controlled projector descends to show movies while the Sir Winston Churchill Library offers peace and tranquillity for guests looking for respite from the sun and a little solitude.

And then there is the cuisine. A team of six chefs from as far afield as Argentina and Japan is headed up by French Executive Chef Damien Perrinel, whose Michelin-star experience in some of France’s finest restaurants means that guests can enjoy a hedonistic dining experience every day, sampling divine dishes from every corner of the planet either on deck or in the elegant dining room, the centrepiece of which is a long table which can seat 28 guests.

With wellness a key factor for many, Christina O also boasts a spa with two full- tim e therapists which is open all day long for no extra charge during charters, offering a variety of luxury spa treatments.  

The water sports department also delivers at the highest level of excellence; instructors can award RYA jet-ski licenses to guests while on board and coach them in having fun safely on the three SeaDoo waverunners in line with local regulations. Additionally, Christina O is served by two beautifully restored hacker craft tenders.

Indeed, with a crew of around 40 and a staff to guest ratio of at least 1:1, you can be confident that your every need or desire will be met.

“The sense of pride when you charter Christina O is palpable,” says charter broker Tim Morley. “When people come on board Christina O they genuinely have an emotional reaction. It is unlike any other yacht. You feel the spirit of the yacht. People love it and it affects almost everybody in this way, young and old.”

Operations manager Florin Belciug has worked on board for 12 years and agrees that Christina O offers a unique experience to charter guests. “She has a classic history and charisma that most boats just don’t have. Many charter clients choose her for this reason. The Americans love the fact that Jackie Onassis and JFK spent time on the yacht. They are impressed from the moment they step on board.”

Christina O is stable, cruising fast with her relatively new engines up to a top speed of 19 knots and, with sufficient officers to allow the yacht to sail from one anchorage to another overnight, every night, guests can enjoy a full day at a new anchorage from daybreak.  

Charters can cover significant distances; during one charter in 2019, Christina O departed from Venice to cruise down the coasts of Croatia and Montenegro and through the bay of Kotor before heading across to Sicily and the Lipari Islands, and then north to Capri and Amalfi, finishing in Naples.

She is also one of very few yachts legally allowed to charter in Greece with a non-Greek flag thanks to possession of a Greek charter license.

Even for those guests who are well versed in chartering, Christina O is guaranteed to eclipse any past experience, setting the bar on superyacht style and luxury at the highest level of excellence.

GLAMOUR & ROMANCE

In 1954, Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis acquired for scrap value a Canadian frigate that had seen action in Normandy during World War II . Even in today’s world, her 325 feet in length turn heads, so imagine the astonishment 60 years ago when he decided to rebuild and renovate her, turning her into one of the world’s most famous superyachts.

Christina, christened in honour of his daughter, or CHRISTINA O as she is known today, wined and dined world leaders, Hollywood elite and numerous other dignitaries for nearly two decades under his ownership. Winston Churchill , John Fitzgerald Kennedy , ballerina Margot Fonteyn , John Wayne , Maria Callas and Marilyn Monroe were all guests on the yacht over the years.

Upon Onassis’ death in 1975, CHRISTINA O passed to the Greek government, for use as a presidential yacht. Unfortunately, the government could not keep up with the maintenance costs for very long. CHRISTINA O deteriorated for years, until the late 1990s, when a team stepped in to rescue her.

Today, after many refits and continuous improvements, you can walk on the same decks and in the same rooms, meticulously restored, as Richard Burton and Elisabeth Taylor as well as all those other famous guests. You can relax in one of the Hollywood couple’s favorite places, in front of the lapis lazuli-fronted fireplace, in the main deck’s Lapis Lounge, while Maria Callas’ opera notes still play in the Callas Lounge .

When Onassis bought the vessel in 1954, he converted her at an expense of over $4 million, into the largest, most modern, and most exalted yacht of her era. CHRISTINA O became his floating mansion and headquarters for over two decades until his death in 1975.

In 1978 Onassis’s daughter Christina donated the yacht to the Greek Government and it eventually became disused. In 1998 the vessel was purchased by a family friend of Onassis and underwent an extensive refurbishment and re-powering, restoring her to her former glory and with the addition of all the latest technologies and equipment.

CHRISTINA O has fabulous areas for entertaining, including a sumptuous dining room capable of seating up to 40 guests. Her exterior amenities include the famous swimming pool which converts to a dance floor, a large Jacuzzi and extensive sunbathing decks.  2 massage rooms, 1 beauty room, fitness therapists are included in the charter rate no additional cost.

As the former vessel of billionaire shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis, the legendary 99m/325ft superyacht ‘Christina O’ set the scene for the original jetsetters of the late-1950s and, today, continues to be among the most world’s most famous yachts.

Starting life in 1943 as a surplus Canadian war frigate, Christina O was bought in 1954 by Onassis who, as one of the richest and most famous men in the world, spent a huge sum of money transforming her into a pleasure palace for him, his family and an array of illustrious guests.

During the late 1950s, Onassis effectively established the jetset lifestyle. Under the gaze of the world’s media, the self-made magnate received a VIP list of guests aboard  superyacht ‘Christina O’ , ranging from politicians, businessmen and bankers to Hollywood movie stars such as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. 

Thus, the setting for many an iconic moment in history,  this  motor yacht  was where Winston Churchill first met John F. Kennedy, where the tumultuous affair between Onassis and opera star Maria Callas began, and where Onassis married former first lady Jackie Kennedy.

But, after Onassis' death in 1975, the yacht sadly entered a period of slow deterioration. Help was eventually at hand, however, and in 1999 a friend of the family, John Paul Papanicolaou, who remembered the yacht's former glory, undertook the extensive, two-year project of faithfully restoring the superyacht.

In 2001, she emerged from the shipyard as the yacht she is today. Available for charter, she now offers the unique chance to experience the opulence of the Onassis era with the amenities expected from a modern-day superyacht.

What's more, she is one of the rare charter yachts capable of sleeping up to 36 guests while cruising on a luxury yacht charter and she can also host up to 157 guests at harbour-side events and celebrations.

Much care and effort went into restoring the important artefacts within her interior, and one such example can be seen in the Lapis Lounge.

Welcoming guests aboard on the main deck aft, the salon is named after its original, dazzling blue lapis lazuli fireplace which has been faithfully reconstructed.

With oak and iroko panelling, book-lined shelves and sumptuous pale-coloured settees, the overall look of the salon is reminiscent of an old English country manor.

Yet teak floorboards serve as a reminder of being at sea, and artworks by Renoir, Le Corbusier and de Chirico add to the grandeur of the setting.

A door to starboard opens forward, from the Lapis Lounge into the teak-lined Ari’s bar, christened in tribute to Aristotle himself as this was one of his favourite places on board in which to enjoy a drink and socialise with his guests.

A small and cosy place to relax, the room focuses on the original rope-covered bar, which is reputedly made from the timbers of an old Spanish galleon. A huge map of the wall lines the wall, while housed in the glass-topped bar are models depicting Christina O through the ages.

Whale’s teeth form handles around the bar’s edge, acting as a grip to keep one’s seat on the bar stools in rough weather. Historically famous, these original stools are made from the leather of a whale’s foreskin and continue to be a conversation starter on today's charters.

During her recent transformation, Christina O’s old central steam engines, which extended upwards through three decks, were replaced with smaller diesels. This change means space once taken up by one of these regions now serves as a large dining salon.

Located forward of Ari’s bar, the salon centres on a long, 24-seater table reflected in a backlit glass panel on the ceiling. To port, a raised plinth hosts four smaller tables for a more intimate dining experience, while pillars and a shiny marble floor further enhance the splendour.

To starboard, glazed panelling partially divides the salon from a music lounge. Fitted out with a grand piano and a collection of Maria Callas memorabilia, the room is one of four guest lounges on board and is a light and airy escape thanks to large windows and a light colour palette.

Exiting the salon forward, the corridor opens out into a breathtaking atrium, with a majestic staircase and brass and onyx handrail that spirals upwards. Best taken in from above, there is a spectacular mosaic on the floor depicting Onassis' Omega emblem.

The staircase gently ascends to the promenade deck above, where an oval-shaped, oak-panelled library is located forward off the lobby. Features include green upholstered seating, an extensive collection of books and double doors that open into the spacious Maria Callas Lounge.

The oak panelling continues and Giorgetti sofas create three sumptuous seating areas, but the main focus is on a raised plinth forward, which can be used as a stage for live music. A drop-down screen and state-of-the-art surround sound system means movie nights can also take place here.

Aft of the central lobby, meanwhile, is the Sports Lounge. Cards and backgammon can be played around three games tables, while a curved glass walls divides the lounge from a children’s play room decorated in a colourful mural.

There is also space here, on the port-side, for a fully-equipped gymnasium. Work out while taking in glorious ocean vistas before indulging in a massage or spa treatment from the on-board therapist in the adjoining beauty salon and treatment room.

Purely the domain of the principal charterer is the expansive and luxurious Onassis Suite

The bridge deck is also accessed from the central staircase, but this is purely the domain of the principal charterer and the captain as sitting behind the bridge itself is the expansive and luxurious Onassis Suite.

An oak-panelled study, which also serves as a cosy lounge, with the original onyx fireplace provides entry into the sleeping quarters forward. Fine Venetian linen drapes the large bed, the original Baccarat crystal lights line the walls and white Penteli marble glistens in the bathroom.

Ten guest staterooms, meanwhile, span off a long central corridor on the main deck forward, with the remaining eight cabins situated towards the aft end of the lower deck. Those nearer the centre of Christina O are bigger in size, with writing desks and larger walk-in wardrobes.

However, all cabins can serve as either doubles or twins, ensuring an extremely flexible accommodation setup on board, and all boast wall panels, a tranquil pastel colour palette, prints of the Greek islands and marble-lined shower rooms.

Opportunities for entertainment and relaxation continue onto Christina O’s generous decks. Referred to as the compass deck, her top tier features a line-up of sun loungers, a bar and, of course, fabulous ocean views.

On the deck below, a clear expanse of teak deck forms a versatile space aft of the funnel. Extremely flexible, this space perfectly adapts to whatever occassion charterers have on the agenda.

Staircases to port and starboard sweep down to the promenade deck, so called as yacht-goers can circulate the whole level.

Well-equipped for hosting large numbers, the deck features a helipad aft, which is looked over by an inviting Jacuzzi. After guests have taken a dip, they can sip cocktails at the large, circular bar before dinner is served at one of the six circular tables.  

There is also space for sun loungers, and the whole setup enables the charter party to unwind and make the most of Christina O's alfresco offerings without interfering with one another.

The outdoor offering on the main deck aft, meanwhile, very much resembles the setup of Onassis’ day. Here, the famous swimming pool with its mosaic of the Minoan bull and vaulter from the palace at Knossos has been painstakingly recreated.

Another highlight of the pool is that its floor can raise, draining the water to form a dance floor or other area in which to socialise - an innovative asset which the original boasted. The two pictures (above-right) indicate the floor in both positions.

Such a feature was extremely revolutionary in the 1950s and one which is still replicated on superyachts today, reflecting just how groundbreaking Christina O was at the time of her launch.

The area forward of the swimming pool is home to a long, rectangular dining table, lounging options, and bollards and windlasses that appear in iconic images as posing stools for many of Onassis' famous guests.

Obwohl es auf dem Markt eine Vielzahl von fertigen RTR-Modellbooten gibt, träumen viele ambitionierte Modellbauer davon, ein RC Boot selber bauen zu können. Hier stellt sich zunächst die Frage, ob Du dabei auf einen Bausatz zurückgreifen und diesen mit individuellen Komponenten ausrüsten möchtest oder die grundlegenden Teile, wie Rumpf und Aufbau auch selber bauen möchtest. Mit einem selbstgebauten RC Boot , welches später natürlich schwimmfähig sein sollte, kannst Du Dich von anderen Modellbauern gut von der breiten Masse abheben. Es handelt sich schließlich um ein unverwechselbares Einzelstück. Nachfolgend möchte ich Dir einen kleinen Überblick darüber geben, worauf Du bei Deinem Modellbau Boot achten solltest.

Welche Komponenten werden benötigt?

Gleich vorweg kann ich Dir raten, eine Einkaufsliste anzufertigen , die Dir in etwa zeigt, mit welchen Anschaffungskosten Du rechnen musst. Möchtest Du wirklich von Grund auf ein RC Boot neu bauen, spielt in erster Linie der Zeitfaktor eine große Rolle. Profis bauen nicht selten bis zu einem Jahr an ihrem Traumboot und sind dann immer noch nicht fertig.

Der Bootsrumpf

Im Gegensatz zu einem RC Boot Bausatz benötigst Du zunächst eine Vorstellung, wie der eigentliche Bootsrumpf * aussehen soll. Dabei stellt sich auch gleich die Frage, zu welcher Gattung Dein neues Boot gehören soll . Möchtest Du ein Rennboot , eine Yacht , ein Segelschiff oder ein Funktionsboot bauen? Als Beispiel soll hier eine Motoryacht gelten, wobei Du die Aufbauschritte problemlos auch auf jedes andere Modell übertragen kannst. Der Bootsrumpf sollte eine ergonomische Form aufweisen. Dabei kannst Du entweder einen fertigen Rumpf aus einem anderen RC Boot Bausatz nehmen, einen separaten ABS-Rumpf aus dem Modellbaufachgeschäft kaufen oder diesen mit Materialien aus dem Baumarkt selbst herstellen .

• Maßstab 1:8 - Länge: 850 mm Breite: 300 mm
• Gewicht: GFK Rumpf ca. 2300 g

Bootsrumpf mit Negativform herstellen

Du benötigst zunächst eine sogenannte Negativform des späteren Bootsrumpfes . Diese kannst Du aus Styropor herstellen. Dabei kann ein Styroporschneider* Dir gute Dienste leisten. Achte darauf, dass sämtliche Rumpfflächen absolut eben und glatt sind. Danach musst Du dieses Negativ mit Trennwachs* bestreichen. Anschließend benötigst Du noch Epoxyd-Harz und eine Menge an Glasfasermatten . Diese gibt es in jedem gut sortierten Modellbaufachgeschäft. Für einen Rumpf bis 50 cm Länge werden wenigstens einen Liter Epoxyd-Harz* benötigt. Als Glasfasermatte* kann ich Dir eine Stärke von 160g/m² empfehlen. Dann musst Du nicht allzu viele Matten übereinanderlegen.

Das Harz muss genau abgewogen und zusammen mit dem Härter mit einem Spatel gut vermischt werden. Nun kannst Du die Glasfasermatten zuschneiden, mit Epoxyd-Harz durchtränken und auf die Negativform legen. Andererseits kannst Du auch größere Matten direkt auf die Negativform legen und mit einem Pinsel das Harz dort auftragen. Je mehr Matten Du auflegst, desto stabiler wird der spätere Rumpf . Anschließend den Rumpf gut durchtrocknen lassen und vorsichtig aus der Negativform lösen.

Die Negativform kannst Du übrigens auch später zerteilen und damit den Rumpf von innen verstärken . Ansonsten müsstest Du eine aufwändige Holz-Spanten-Konstruktion verwenden. Von außen kannst Du dem Rumpf noch eine passende Farbe verpassen . Die meisten verwenden hier ein reines Weiß.

Die Antriebskomponenten kaufen und einbauen

Damit Dein RC Boot auch fährt, benötigst Du…

• einen passenden Elektromotor *
• eine Motorhalterung *
• eine Schiffswelle * mit Stevenrohr
• eine mögliche Wellenkupplung *
• je nach Antriebsart einen oder zwei Schiffsschrauben *
• ein Servo * für die Ruderanlage
• ein Rudergestänge *
• ein Ruder *
• Seitenstabilisatoren
• einen elektronischen Fahrtenregler *
• einen Empfänger *
• ein Akkufach
• einen Fahrakku *

Stevenrohr & Schiffsschraube

Sorge in Deinem Rumpf zunächst für ein kleines Loch im Heck , durch welches Du das Stevenrohr schiebst. In dieses kommt später die Welle für die Schiffsschraube . Die Schiffsschraube selbst wird immer so aufgeschraubt, dass das Gewinde entgegen der Schraubendrehung zeigt. Dadurch kann sich die Schiffsschraube * später nicht von alleine losdrehen. Die Öffnung für das Stevenrohr musst Du später wieder mit etwas Epoxydharz* abdichten. Achte darauf, dass Du bei einem Boot mit nur einem Propeller das Stevenrohr und die Welle genau mittig am Heck anbringst. Dabei sollte die Schraube in einem bestimmten Winkel direkt unter der Wasseroberfläche montiert sein. Diese darf keinesfalls Luft ziehen oder zu tief unter dem Boot ins Wasser eintauchen, da ansonsten nicht der optimale Antrieb gewährleistet werden kann.

Erkundige Dich ggf. anhand vergleichbar großer Boote, in welchem Winkel die Schraubenwelle eingebaut werden muss und welchen Durchmesser die Schiffsschraube haben muss. Für eine hohe Geschwindigkeit muss es nicht immer die größte Schraube sein. Vergessen beim Einbau der Schiffswelle nicht, diese ausreichend einzufetten. Dies schützt vor Wasser und Korrosion .

Ruderanlage& Rudergestänge

Neben der Schiffsschraube musst Du noch das Ruder bzw. die Ruderanlage einbauen . Auch hierbei musst Du wieder ein kleines Loch in das Heck Deines Rumpfes bohren. Hier wird das Drehgelenk des Ruderblattes durchgeschoben. Das Loch musst Du wieder mit Epoxydharz abdichten. Das Ruder * muss sich leichtgängig in jede Richtung drehen lassen. Im Inneren befindet sich meist eine Schraubverbindung bzw. eine Öse, an der das Rudergestänge montiert wird. All diese Arbeiten sind zuerst vorzunehmen, da Du in diesem Bauzustand noch am besten an diese Komponenten herankommst.

Motorträger & Motor

Montiere nun den Motorträger mittig im Bootsrumpf und befestige dort den gewünschten Elektromotor . In heutiger Zeit solltest Du nur noch auf einen modernen Brushless-Motor * setzen. Erkundige Dich auch hier bei vergleichbaren RC-Booten, welche Motorleistung für die Bootsgröße ausreichend ist. Je nach Lage des Motors benötigst Du noch eine Wellenkupplung *, damit die Welle der Schiffschraube mit der Motorwelle richtig verbunden werden kann.

An einer Heckseite wird nun ein kleines Holzbrettchen eingeklebt, auf dem Du den Servo für die Ruderanlage befestigst. Das Rudergestänge * wird dann in das Horn des Servos * eingehängt. Achte darauf, dass mit der Servobewegung auch der gewünschte Rudereinschlag gewährleistet wird. Die oben erwähnten Seitenstabilisatoren werden in erster Linie für Rennboote benötigt. Aber auch in unserer Yacht können diese für eine optimale Wasserlage sorgen.

Fahrtregler & Empfänger & Servo

Nun musst Du noch den elektronischen Fahrtregler einbauen. Auch hierzu ist eine kleine Auflage im Rumpf erforderlich. Der Fahrtregler * muss schließlich noch mit dem Empfänger verbunden werden. Teilweise gibt es schon Kombibauteile, in denen beide Funktionen vereint sind. Fahrtregler benötigen meistens eine andere Spannung als der Empfänger *. Von daher sind diese mit einem Spannungswandler ausgestattet . Hier sprechen wir auch von einem sogenannten BEC-System.

Den Servo verbindest Du ebenfalls mit dem Empfänger. So sind der Motor mit dem Fahrtregler, der Fahrtregler mit dem Empfänger und der Servo ebenfalls mit dem Empfänger verbunden. Mittig im Boot solltest Du nun die Schale für die Aufnahme des Fahrakkus einkleben. In diesem kannst Du den Fahrakku * einlegen. In den meisten Fällen werden handelsübliche 7,2 Volt NiMH-Akkus verwendet. Der Akku wird dabei mit dem Empfänger verbunden.

Insoweit kann nun Dein RC Boot fahren und lenken. An den Empfänger kannst Du später noch eine kleine Antenne befestigen, die über das Oberdeck nach außen geführt wird. Mit einer entsprechenden Fernbedienung kannst Du jetzt langsame Fahrten in der Badewanne ausführen. Dabei solltest Du genau darauf achten, wie der Bootsrumpf im Wasser liegt. Ggfs. musst Du an einigen Stellen noch zusätzliche kleine Bleigewichte * hineinlegen.

Motor mit Wasserkühlung

Je nach Motor kann es hilfreich sein, eine Wasserkühlung einzubauen . Dabei wird ein dünnes Kupferrohr um den Motor gewickelt. Schließlich benötigst Du wiederum zwei kleine Löcher im Rumpf. Ein Loch wird direkt im vorderen Bereich des Kiels gebohrt, das andere an einer seitlichen Bordwand. Beim Loch im Kiel wird ein Einlassventil * eingeklebt und an der Bordwand ein entsprechendes Auslassventil *. Zwischen jedem Ventil und dem Kupferrohr am Motor stecke ich einen kleinen Plastikschlauch und stelle sicher, dass dieser nicht abrutschen kann.

Durch vorwärtsfahrt, wird das Wasser in den Bootsrumpf gedrückt und gelangt über das Einlassventil über den Schlauch in die Kühlspirale des Motors. Von dort über das andere Schlauchelement zum seitlich an der Bordwand sitzenden Auslassventil. Auf diese Weise erreichen ich eine optimale Motorkühlung .

Der Deckaufbau

Recht viel Arbeit macht die Gestaltung des Oberdecks mit einer Kajütendarstellung und einem Fahrerstand. Hier ist viel Fingerspitzengefühl erforderlich, um auch den richtigen Maßstab zu finden . für das Deck muss eine passgenaue Abdeckung gefunden werden. Besonders elegant sieht ein Deck aus Echtholz aus. Stattdessen kannst Du aber auch wieder aus Epoxydharz* ein solches gießen. Dafür wird wiederum eine Negativform benötigt. Wichtig ist, dass die Ränder nahtlos mit dem Rumpf verbunden werden. Hier kommt es auf eine sorgfältige Verklebung an. Bei herkömmlichen Bausätzen besitzt das Deck zusätzlich noch eine Umbördelung, so dass die Rumpfkante komplett abgedeckt wird.

Neben einer individuellen Gestaltung des Decksaufbaus solltest Du auf jeden Fall eine Öffnung zum Motorraum offenlassen . Schließlich müssen wir hier nicht nur regelmäßig den Fahrakku * auswechseln, sondern können hier auch bequem Wartungsarbeiten durchführen. Je größer die Öffnung ist, desto einfacher wird die spätere Wartung . Abgedeckt wird die Öffnung mit einem passgenauen Kajüten- oder Deckteil. Dieses kann zum Beispiel mit etwas Klettband * fixiert werden. Idealerweise klebst Du an den Rand dieser Öffnung kleine Leisten als Erhöhung. So kann nach dem Aufsetzen des Deckels während der Fahrt kein Wasser in den Motorraum dringen.

Falls alle grundlegenden Komponenten zur Zufriedenheit funktionieren, kannst Du auch an mögliche Funktionen, wie zum Beispiel eine zusätzliche Schiffsbeleuchtung denken. Hier gibt es im Modellbau zahlreiche Beleuchtungselemente *, die mit einem entsprechenden Adapter ebenfalls den benötigten Strom vom Fahrakku beziehen können.

Welches Werkzeug benötige ich?

Als Werkzeug benötigst Du zum Anrühren des Epoxydharzes* einen kleinen Kunststoffspatel und einen Pinsel mit kurzen Borsten. Eine Telefonzange * und ein kleiner Kreuzschraubendreher können beim Verbinden der Elektronik-Komponenten recht hilfreich sein. Für die Löcher benötigst Du einen kleinen Handbohrer. Um mögliche Grate Deiner Formen entfernen * zu können, kannst Du noch einen kleinen Cutter verwenden. Ich wünsche viel Erfolg beim Bau Deines ersten RC Modellbootes.

Das sieht ja nicht schlecht aus,aber warum hast Du die Rumpfnase nicht ein bißchen spitzer zulaufen lassen? Also ich selber habe keine Ahnung von Booten aber eigentlich mußte die Wasserverdrängung dadurch etwas höher sein.Na ja aber trotzdem ganz gut. MfG Gitte

Rumpfnase Rumpfnase Die Rumpfnase ist sicher nicht entscheidend. 60 cm Bootslänge mit der Stirnfläche des Rumpfes, wahrscheinlich auch das Gewicht und ein 540er Automotor wird das Problem werden wenn das Boot einigermassen flott über den Teich flitzen soll. Da widerspricht sich zu viel um Geschwindigkeit zu erzielen. Flutkanal nachträglich? Geht sicher aber ich würde erst mal das Boot abkleben und dann untertauchen und dann sehen ob der Kanal wirklich dicht hält sonst gibts ein Aquarium. LG Ruthard

Flutkanal wirst Du keinen brauchen. So schnell wirst Du nicht werden´. Der Bug muß auch nicht spitz zulaufen. Warum auch? Ist nur ne Designfrage. Im Wasser ist der eh nicht. Ansonsten mußt Du schauen. Gewicht ? Bei 60cm sollte das nicht über 1,2kg fahrfertig liegen. Sind Stringer drunter? Antrieb getaucht oder halbgetaucht? Carmotoren sind bis auf wenige Ausnahmen für den Bootsbetrieb unbrauchbar, weil in der Regel zu viel Drehzahl bei zu wenig Drehmoment. Und dann hängt die Eignung davon ab, ob der Antrieb vollgetaucht arbeitet oder halbgetaucht. Das wiederum bestimmt auch entscheidend die Auswahl des Propellers. Gruß Heiko

Mein tip wäre dir eine fertige Schale zu haolen und dann den Ausbau allein zu machen. schau mal bei Hopf vorbei. So teuer sind die nicht, und du weißt dass der Rumpf dann wenigsten passt. Sonst wird das eine endlose Geschichte. Gerhard

Hallo, die läuft mit einen 600 Race, 600 Eco Race an 7 Zellen sehr schön. Sie ist leicht zu bauen und macht Spaß. Sie driftet in den Kurven mit dem Hintern weg und ist eher ein Fun-Boot als ein reinrassiges Rennboot. Beste Grüße Hanjo

Hallo Parkplatzracer !!! << was haltet ihr denn vom fighter 550? << Nichts !!! Wenn du wirklich eine Crackerbox willst dann würde ich an deiner Stelle die 15 euro ausgeben. Bis das boot fertig kommt noch mehr zusammen und dagegen sind die 15 euro dann wirklich zu vernachlässigen. Wenn dir das Ganze jetzt schon zu viel ist, dann lass es lieber !!! Gerhard

Hallo, zuallererst: Von Riggern habe ich überhaupt keine Ahnung Der Motor ist ja bombenfest verschraubt, der Motor"winkel" ziemlich exotisch. Mit dem heruntergelassenen Anker = Bremshaken = Wasserkühlung wird das Boot ganz schön zu kämpfen haben. Ach ja: Ein Weltmeister behauptet von mir sogar, ich hätte generell keine Ahnung. Wahrscheinlich hat er Recht. Gruß Peter

Hallo, ja der haken ist wirklich etwas überdimensioniert... werd den auch noch kleiner machen denk ich. Aber für den nfang dachte ich - besser zuviel kühlung als zu wenig ... muss halt immer wieder die temp messen und schaun wieviel wasser ich brauch bzw wie groß die Kühlwasserzufuhr sein muss. Der Motor soll ja auch halten oder ?- also frei nach dem motto lieber eine schraube zuviel als zuwenig mit den gewindestangen konnte ich perfekt den winkel der motorhalterung einstellen .. Grüße

Hallo, wann passiert denn hier mal was will mal sehen, bin auch am überlegen mir einen selber zu bauen, gucke aber immer erst bei anderen rum. Lg

ups hab gar nicht mehr dran gedacht hier mein ergebnis reinzuposten Also war am we am weiher und hatte gleich mal ein erfolgserlebnis .. gleiten klappt wunderbar - nach ca 30 cm war der rigger ausm wasser (5 punkt rigger) Geschwindigkeitstechnisch ist noch lang nicht das maximum erreicht denk ich. bin nur mit graupner plastikprops gefahren 39mm dreiblatt und motor und relger waren handwarm. muss mir etz noch nen passenden metallprop aussuchen. dachte eig an den octura v937/3 . allerdings hab ich erfahren dass das teil auch als motorkiller bekannt ist .. laut H&M. mit wurde zu nem 2 blatt 38 mm mit 1,4 facher steigung geraten. was meint ihr ? will nicht erst 300 eu ausgeben bist ich weiss welcher prop passt. Das problem is dass mein regler nur 120 A macht (YGE 120 Navy) und ich dadurch sehr vorsichtig sein sollte in verbindung mit nem Lehner 1930... Hallo, du brauchst dir bzgl. Prop noch gar keine Gedanken machen. Der Rigger sollte erst mal Vollgas fahren lernen. Kommt das Teil in Fahrt, dann hat das Boot viel zu viel Lift. Das sieht man zwar kaum, weil du dann schon aufhörst Gas zu geben. Die Vollgasstecken müssen länger werden. Und dann siehst du auch, wie das Teil hoppelt am Heck. Lösung: Schwerpunkt nach hinten oder Neigung Welle verändern

ja ich weiss.. aber da gabs noch n paar kleine andere probleme und deswegen wollt ich nicht zu weit vom ufer weg... das wasser is noch ziemlich kalt ... falls es stehnbleibt Das mit dem hoppeln is mirauch schon aufgefallen. das problem is dass der metallprop auch einen größeren lift hat. wenn ich nun also erst das hoppeln mit plastikprop abschaff .. dann springt er beim metallprop wieder.. vollgas hab ich deswegen noch nicht gegeben weil der rigger sich doch recht schnell in die lüfte erhebt.. (bei kleinsten wellen)und wie gesagt das wasser is noch zielich kalt Aber das hoppeln wird auf jedenfall abgeschafft. denk mal dass ich den wellenwinnkel verändern werd ... Grüße Bernhard

Hallo, so hab meine Octura V935/3 heute erhalten und bin schon am schleifen. Am We gibts n neues Video falls ich einen find der filmt. Dann heißt es daumendrücken für meinen Regler Das hoppeln hab ich ihm auch schon abgewöhnt

Hallo, so habs geschafft mal wieder ein Video zu machen. Diesmal mit nem Octura V935/3. Man merkt die große Steigung übelst im Vergleich zu dem K-prop mit 1.4. Also er kommt sehr viel langsamer aus dem Wasser ins Gleiten.Allerdings mein ich dass der Rigger nicht merklich schneller läuft.Im Gegenteil - ich glaub fast dass der mit dem Graupner (42mm) schneller war. Das mit dem hoppeln haut auch noch nicht so ganz hin. Hab mittlerweile schon nen negativen Wellenwinkel, der verstellt sich allerdings nach ca 5 sec Fahrzeit wieder, da das Ganze etwas unter Spannung steht und schwupps -hoppelt das teil wieder.... Gibts vllt irgendwelche Vorschläge für Propeller? dachte so an 1.6 steigung.... und dafür etwas größer.... Hier mal zum reinschaun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHlPT8Ft ... annel_page

einen 42er prop an den Rigger???? also mein rigger ist ganz bisschen kleiner. Und genauso schnell mit einem 33er 2-blatt K. Und ich hab "nur" einer Vortex motor( china ) Es kommt aber noch ein 32er octura X6 und ein 17er hinzu...Aber na gut, meins ist auch ein 3-Punkt also von daher... zum hüpfen: hatte das auch sehr oft, habe einfach das micro servo, das hinten liegt, durch ein standartservo getauscht um hinten mehr gewicht zu haben. Desweiteren habe ich den akku weiter nach hinter verlegt, ich weiß ja nicht, wie das bei dir mit den platzverhältnissen aussieht??? Oder einfach Trimmblei. das hüpfen war danach jedenfalls weg. MfG

Ja irgendwas bremst da halt noch übel.Ich tipp mal auf meinen Haken für die Kühlung (5mm alurohr- hab angst dass mein regler draufgeht ) Demnächst werd ich die hinteren beiden schwimmer entfernen... mal schaun obs was bringt. Größere schrauben haben meines wissens nach einen besseren Wirkungsgrad daher will ich auch nicht kleiner werden als 35 mm. Das Hüpfproblem: -Akku weiter nach hinten geht nicht da der Motor im Weg ist. -Größerer Servo geht nicht da das Heck zu niedrig ist. - Bleigewichte wollte ich vermeiden da das alles nur verlangsamt. -> bleibt nut noch der Wellenwinkel. Werd als nächstes wie gesagt erstmal die hintern Schwimmer abbaun (Ich hoff man kann so einfach aus nem 5 Punkt Rigger einen 3 Punkt Rigger machen ) und vorne auf das Alurohr einen kegel basteln mit nem kleineren Eintrittsloch für das Wasser -> Bremswirkung verkleinern. Und eben ne andere Schraube. Hier noch die Daten meines Riggers: 60 cm lang 1470 g <- daran wird auch noch gearbeitet 3s kokam lehner 1930 /6 Yge 120 navy Grüße

Hallo, also wenn du die Hinteren schwimmer abbaust, würde ich sagen das bring auf jeden fall was. denn das Hintere gewicht verteilt sich nicht mehr auf 3 stellen, sondern nur noch auf den propeller und drückt diesen ins wasser -> kein hüpfen mehr. was ich mir auch vorstellen könnte ist den Struthalten etwas weiter nach unten zu bauen( nicht viel, nur 1-2mm). ABER: der wellenwinkel muss 0° betragen, sonst läuft unetr umständen dein Octura V935 nicht mehr bzw. nicht mehr so gut. habe irgentwo gelesen das der beste wirkungsgrad bei diesen propellern mit 0° erreicht wird. wobei ich nicht glaube, das 1, 2 Grad den kohl fett machen... MfG ach ja noch zum gewicht: auf jeden fall solltest du dir aus Holz, GfK oder noch besser CfK einen vernünftiger Motorhalter bauen. Damit würdest du drastisch das Gewicht reduzieren....denn diese gewindestangen sind bestimmt nicht die leichtesten.

hallo, das dacht ich mir auch mit den Schwimmmern. Am we wird demontiert. Den Wellenwinkel werd ich dann durch probieren einstellen und auch den Strut etwas nach unten verschieben. Der Motorhalter ist aus alu mit 2xM4 10cm Gewindestangen. So schwer sind die auch nicht dass sich ein Ausbau rentieren würde. dnek mal so 10 bis 20 Gramm. Das eigentlich Problem ist die Konstruktion des Riggers aus Balsa und Glasfaser. Bin gerade dabei die neue front Schwimmer aus Gfk zu basteln -Urform -Negativ- usw.. um Gewchtstechnisch mehr zu bewirken. Meld mich mal nach meinen Tests Grüße

Hallo, Diesmal hab ich die hinteren Schwimmer entfernt (5Punkt Rigger -3 Punkt Rigger) um ihm das hoppelen abzugewöhnen.Muss das ganze nochmal mit längeren Vollgasstrecken testen. Neues Ruder mt WK folgt um meinen Bremshaken abzulösen bzw mein gegen die Fahrtrichtung gebogenes Alurohr -> deswegen mach ich auch ständig bei zu schnellem beschleunigen 360 Grad Drehungen um die Längsachse (Alurohr ist auf der rechten Seite -> Boot dreht sich in der luft immer rechts herum ... sieht aber witzig aus vorallem wenn man danach gleich weiterfährt Ach ja .... im Video ärger ich mich nur bisschen weil ich ins Wasser muss ( Luftschraube des Riggers) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xENf-9N96Ek Grüße

Moin. Für son selbstgebautes Teil Ne Spaß beiseite. Ich finde das sieht schon echt gut aus, nur wird der See jetzt zu klein. Mich würde jetzt mal die Endgeschwidigkeit interessieren. Also auf GPS sparen.

Hallo, jaja ich weiss werd das Video nochmal mit Pieptönen bearbeiten aber ich wollt halt absolut net ins Wasser und das musst ich meinem Frust freien Lauf lassen .Danke Ullei aber das mit dem GPS könnte ein Problem werden weil im Boot is so gut wie kein Platz mehr. naja dacht mir dass ich vllt einen GPS Empfänger vom Handy rein leg und dann sozusagen in Echtzeit die Geschwindigkeit am Handy seh. Die Frage is nur ob die Reichweite vom Bluetooth groß genug ist. Das hier hab ich grad gefunden : Klasse Sendeleistung Reichweite Bluetooth: * Class 3 (dB0 Spezifikation) 1 mW 10 m Reichweite * Class 2 (dB4 Spezifikation) 2,5 mW 10 – 20 m Reichweite * Class 1 (dB20 Spezifikation) 100 mW bis 100 m Reichweite ->Probieren geht über studieren Grüße

danke ich werds trotzdem mal ausprobieren. wenn auch die Wahrscheinlichkeit gering ist.Hab mir mal das Garmin Geko und das Garmin eTrex® H angeschaut. puhhh ich werd erstmal schaun ob ich von nem Bekannten auftreiben kann .. billig sind die Teile nicht grad. ansonsten wart ich erstmal auf mein neues Ruder ... dann gibts ein neues Vid ....ohne Schimpfereien Grüße

Hallo, wie ich dort schon schrieb: Für Rennboote leider nicht brauchbar. Die Reichweite von 15 m passt für große Gegenstände wie etwa Autos (keine Modellautos!). Bei der schmalen Silhouette eines heran rasenden Rennbootes geht die Reichweite fast gegen Null. Vielleicht funktioniert es an einem Ausleger und wasserdicht verpackt, aber mir ist das zu riskant. Mit dem Garmin klappt es wunderbar, nur im Supermini oder kleinen Rigger wird es sehr eng. Gruß Peter

weis ja nicht ob einer von uch paragleiter ist, aber diese gps sender sind 1. am computer auslesbar 2. mit geschwindigkeits messsung 3. mit strecken aufnahme 4. sehr robust 5. nicht groß 6. mit max 2 meter ableitung vom richtigen kurs und somit perfekt um sein RC modell zu testen und zu vermessen

Hallo, das ist schon zu einem guten Teil Hopf, nur eben nicht mehr direkt. Ich vermute einfach einmal, dass nicht für jede Bestellung extra Teile hin und her geschickt werden, sondern dass man sich Portokosten spart. Das kostet natürlich dann etwas Zeit. Meine Bestellung jedenfalls hat auch ein paar Wochen gedauert, die Lieferung erfolgte aber absolut korrekt (und kam übrigens noch vor der Versandbestätigung). Gruß Peter

Hallo Nebo, ne das hab ich net berücksichtigt. is halt einfach nur ohne irgendwelche Strömungsverluste gerechnet. Wie ein R=2mm und 80 cm langes Rohr das mit 80 km/h durchs Wasser gezogen wird. Is sehr theoretisch ich weiss. Hab im ganzen Leitungssystem 2 mal eine 180 Grad Kurve im Schlauch ansonsten gerade Strecken. Hmm wenn ich mir mal so was über Strömungsverlsute angeschaut. In gebogenen Rohren entstehen diese durch Turbulenzen und weniger durch die Rohrreibungszahl. delta p = (Widerstandsbeiwert) * p/2 * v². Der Widerstandsbeiwert sollte in Tabellen stehen. Muss mal noch bisschen rechnen damit das genauer wird. Grüße

Kanadier, kajak... kanu.

Keine Stunde in der Werkstatt erscheint dir zu viel, wenn du das erste Mal mit deinem selbstgebauten Kanu über das Wasser gleitest!

"Kanu" nennt sich die Bootsklasse, der Kanadier und Kajaks angehören. Beide werden in Blickrichtung gepaddelt (#sagnichtrudern), der Kanadier mit einem Stechpaddel, das Kajak mit einem Doppelpaddel. Kanadier eignen sich vor allem für entspannte Feierabendtouren, aber auch mehrtägige Kanuwanderungen mit viel Gepäck. Die Handhabung ist einfach, weil man reinspringt und lospaddelt. Etwas sportlicher geht es beim Kajaken zu, denn die Sitzluke lässt einem nicht viel Bewegungsfreiheit, dafür ist man schneller und trotzt Wellen und Wind besser. Die Ursprünge dieses Handwerks reichen mit dem Bau von Einbäumen und Birkenrindenkanus tausende Jahre zurück. Boote, die damals der Jagd, dem Transport und dem Überleben dienten, werden heute teils in unveränderter Form zu Freizeitzwecken genutzt und in einer Mischung aus traditionellen und modernen Bauweisen hergestellt. Die handwerkliche Faszination des Kanubaus liegt vor allem in der Größe des Projekts, das gleichzeitig aber federleicht sein kann! Der Bau eines Kanus ist eine Herausforderung, die den Handwerker durch das Fehlen rechter Winkel immer wieder fordert und zum Bau von individuellen Werkzeugen und Hilfsmitteln inspiriert. Die schlichte und zugleich pragmatische Form eines Kanurumpfes in Verbindung mit den optischen und mechanischen Vorzügen des Werkstoffs Holz lässt edle Boote mit hohem Gebrauchswert entstehen.

Schnell, agil und den Elementen trotzend. Das Kajak wurde nicht umsonst in der Arktis erfunden, denn es kann sogar auf dem offenem Meer und in eisiger Kälte genutzt werden. Heute helfen uns die über jahrhunderte ausgefeilten Maßsysteme Kajaks zu bauen, die perfekt an unseren Körperbau angepasst sind. Das findest du in keinem Laden!

Skin-on-Frame

Das Kajak hat seinen Ursprung im arktischen Raum, wo es zur Jagd und zum Fischfang genutzt wurde. Die heutige Skin-on-Frame Bauweise ist an die historische Bauweise der Inuit angelehnt, die den Kajakrahmen aus Holz und Knochen bauten und mit Fellen bespannten. Moderne Seekajaks orientieren sich an typischen Formen dieser historischen Kajaks. Beim Bau eines traditionellen Grönlandkajaks ist vor allem das Dampfbiegen der Eschen- bzw. Eichenribs eine interessante handwerkliche Besonderheit. Eine moderne Alternative zur traditionellen Skin-on-Frame Bauweise stellt die Fuselage-Frame-Bauweise dar, bei der die dampfgebogenen Ribs durch Spanten aus Plattenmaterial ersetzt werden. Diese lassen sich mit der Stichsäge aussägen oder wie beim NANOOK-Kajakbausatz mit moderner CNC-Technik fräsen.

Leistenbauweise

In der Leistenbauweise und der Stitch-and-Glue Bauweise werden filigrane Holzrümpfe mit glasfaserverstärktem Kunststoff überzogen. So entstehen sehr leichte, stabile und optisch ansprechende Kajakrümpfe. Die Leistenbauweise ist die Königsklasse und erfordert handwerkliches Geschick und Ausdauer. Im Gegensatz zur Stitch-and-Glue Bauweise, bei der Planken aus dünnem Sperrholz zusammengefügt (gestitched) werden, lassen sich in der Leistenbauweise nicht nur Knickspanter sondern auch Rundspanter herstellen. Dies wird durch den Einsatz schmaler Holzleisten ermöglicht, die sich durch konkav und konvex gefräste Kanten in jedem Winkel perfekt zusammenfügen lassen.

Der Kanadier

Klassisch, offen und universell. Ob für einen entspannten Abendausflug oder eine mehrtägige Kanuwanderung mit 200kg Gepäck. Der Kanadier bringt dich fast überall hin.

Egal ob du dich für die Bauweise Wood&Canvas, Stitch&Glue, Skin-on-Frame oder die Leistenbauweise entscheidest: die neue Herausforderung wird dich mit neuen Skills und dem schönsten Kanu belohnen - deinem Selbstgebauten!

Der klassische Kanadier hat seinen Urspung in Nordamerika, wo er durch vernähen von Birkenrinde über einem hölzernen Rahmen hergestellt wurde. Später entwickelte sich die "Wood and Canvas"-Bauweise, bei der ein Holzrumpf mit imprägnierter Leinwand bespannt wurde. Ein Kanadier ist nach oben hin offen, kann aber auch wie ein Kajak für Wildwasserfahrten mit einer Spritzdecke und Auftriebssäcken ausgestattet werden. Gesteuert wird der Kanadier von demjenigen, der am Heck sitzt. Der "J-Schlag" ermöglicht ein Paddeln ohne einen Wechsel der Paddelseite. Dies spart Kraft und sieht außerdem auch besser aus. Viele weitere Paddelschläge ermöglichen das Seitwärts fahren, auf der Stelle drehen oder das Queren eines Flusses. Bei längeren Umtragungen wird die Ducht - eine Holzleiste, die in der Bootsmitte zwischen den Dollborden angebracht ist - zum Schultern des Kanadiers genutzt. Die Sitzposition kann, im Gegensatz zum Kajak, variiert werden und ermöglicht ein ausdauerndes Paddeln über längere Zeit. So kann der Kanadier kniend, sitzend oder sogar stehend gepaddelt werden. Mit einer Zuladung von teils mehreren hundet Kilo ist ein Kanadier für längere Wanderfahrten mit viel Gepäck und mehreren Personen besser geeignet als das Kajak.
