Accommodation is for 10 guests in 5 versatile cabins including a full beam master suite on the main deck. Her interior areas are sociable and inviting with comfortable furnishings, while her exterior deck spaces offer privacy with multiple sunbathing spots, a Jacuzzi and al fresco dining. A staircase starboard leads down to a spacious swim platform which offers easy access to the sea and an array of water toys and a tender stored in the lazarette.

HELIOS 2 (ex: Helios Squared, Anson Bell) is a 51,13m (167,09ft) yacht launched by Palmer Johnson in 2002 and designed by Sparkman & Stephens, last refitted in 2019, she accommodates 14 guests in 5 cabins.
HELIOS 2 is chic and classic at the same time. Her interiors are contemporary and have a nice cosy atmosphere to them, with joined anigre panelling and plenty of natural light coming in through large windows all around. Neutral carpets and plush sofas in matching tones are laid out on each side of the salon, with comfortable chairs around two coffee tables which gives an intimate feel to the living area on the main deck. Moving forward, guests will enter the formal dining area, before accessing the galley, foyer with central staircase through all decks, and a powder room. The private master suite and study are located forward. There is a lovely sky lounge finished in semi-gloss Anigre on the bridge deck of this motor yacht, which is ideal for entertaining. It comprises a bar and a wine cooler of great capacity as well as a salon with a generous L shaped sofa around a big wooden coffee table, plasma screen TV/DVD and surround sound system. The four spacious guest suites are located on the lower deck.

The exterior spaces of HELIOS 2 are very spacious, yet also render a nice impression of intimacy. Family and friends can relax on the 2 sheltered sofas of the aft main deck where it is also possible to dine al fresco, or choose to dine on the aft Bridge deck where they can also relax on vast couches. Forward of the pilothouse, it is possible to sunbathe on padded sunbeds each side of the Portuguese Bridge. The sundeck is a very popular area and possibilities are endless: Sunbathing on comfortable sunchairs, enjoying aperitifs at the wetbar, relaxing on the large corner settee, or having fun in the Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, to name a few. Amongst the many great features of this yacht is a staircase going from the aft deck into a vestibule on the starboard side of the lower deck, which opens onto the water for easy access to the tender. The water lovers will also enjoy the swimming platform which also gives effortless access to the great assortment of toys on offer.
With her 2 x CAT 3508 B series 1000hp engines and her full displacement Aluminium hull, this LLOYDS +100A1 class yacht, equipped with stabilisers at anchor, cruises at speeds of 13 knots with top speeds of 15 knots.
Yacht Accommodation
Accommodation onboard HELIOS 2 is comfortable. The master suite is full beam of the yacht and is located forward of the main deck. It comprises a King Size bed, a seating area with chaise longue and casual chair, a flat screen TV/DVD/CD/IPOD input as well as a lighted vanity area. A separate study with desk and casual seating is part of the suite, as is a full bathroom with bathtub, double sinks, and separate enclosed toilet with shower. The 4 spacious staterooms on the lower deck each boast their own ensuite shower and satellite TV/DVD/CD/IPOD input. Two of these, amidships aft, offer King Size beds which convert to twin beds with two pullman berths in each of these. The two amidships forward staterooms have Queen Size beds with settees and a desk/vanity.

How long have you been a captain and what are some of the yachts you’ve worked on?I joined Helios 2 in March 2021 and it’s my first captain position, but previously I have worked on the 89m Barbara, 63m Lady M, 50m Casino Royale & 60m Limelight. How would you describe the owner’s vision for Helios 2?The owners want the yacht to be a place where they and their guests can come to simply relax, get pampered, and be isolated from the stress and distractions of the real world. How would you describe the style and personality of Helios 2?She is a timeless, highly pedigreed yacht, blending both modern and classic styles. How would you describe the ambiance on board?There’s definitely a very relaxed family ambiance on board, blended with the compelling attraction of a warm and pleasant nautical experience. What’s your personal style as captain?I see myself as a calm, collected and approachable individual while maintaining the uttermost professionalism with guests' satisfaction and boat safety as a top priority. After being listed for sale one year ago this month, Helios 2 , the 51.2m motoryacht, has undergone a big $3 million price reduction. The Palmer Johnson build, for sale with Stuart Larsen of Fraser Yachts, is currently based in Spain and has a new price tag of $14.5 million. She will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show later this year. Having just completed an epic 250,000-mile round-the-world cruise – over four oceans, seven seas and 30 countries – Helios 2 has proven her hardiness and that her 4,000 nautical mile range at 13 knots will prevail for cruises of any magnitude. The tri-deck motoryacht, formerly known as Anson Bell , was launched out of Palmer Johnson’s Sturgeon Bay facility in 2002. Constructed entirely of aluminium, she was built to a design by Sparkman & Stephens, a US-based naval architecture and yacht design firm, better known for its classic sailing yacht design, but adept at handling yacht design of any style. “I completely concur with the original owner’s decision to use Sparkman & Stephens for the design work”, began Larsen. “He wanted a sea-worthy boat with a shallow draft and he got exactly that; the boat has no restrictions – I think it’s one of the largest yachts to have ever gone into the 'Great Blue Hole', off Belize." Helios 2 in the 'Great Blue Hole' “Among the many great features of this yacht is a staircase on the starboard side, going from the aft deck into a vestibule on the lower deck (seen below) that opens onto the water for easy tender access”, Larsen continued.
