Glade Johnson Design penned her exterior lines, Sinot Design her interior, and Diana Yacht Design completed her naval architecture and engineering.

The interior is a testament to artistry and opulence. Distinctive stained sapele mahogany, accented by gold plating and intricate mirror inlays, forms the backdrop for sophisticated gatherings. Completed Hakvoort Project MIRGAB VI

Created on the boards of Diana Yacht Design, Glade Johnson and Sinot Design for a highly experienced owner, Hakvoort has succeeded in building a yacht that is beautifully in proportion and looks significantly longer than her actual length.

Mirgab VI is a luxury ocean-going displacement motor yacht, designed for blue water cruising in all conditions. Her round-bilged displacement steel hull with good deadrise, level keel and flared bow with fine entrance angle ensures both a stunning appearance and excellent performance. She makes the most of her size in terms of comfort and cruising performance. With a private owner’s deck and seven guest suites, Mirgab VI can accommodate sixteen people in great style. With a dumbwaiter serving all four decks, the service logistics are finely tuned both to the owner and the occasions when the yacht is chartered to a maximum of twelve guests.

Inside and out, Mirgab VI is technologically advanced, stunningly elegant and a masterpiece of form and function. Her luxurious interior is finished with a wealth of wood and precious stone panelling to create a very sophisticated ambience within a traditional nautical template.

Stained sapelli mahogany sets the decorative template. The consistently high quality of joinery is enhanced by a wealth of gold plating, fine materials and intricate mirror inlays. The formal salon and dining room divided by gold inlayed glass panelled doors is found on the main deck, as is an exceptionally well-equipped galley. Further indoor relaxation options are found in the ingenious TV/sky lounge on the bridge deck. A glass lift connects all four decks, each of which has its own lobby. As icing on the cake, a superlative staircase winds around the circular shaft.

Located in a fabulous location on the sundeck, the lovely owner’s stateroom is exquisitely embellished, including the use of mother of pearl behind the bed. The spacious ensuite bathroom is beautifully decorated with faucets and accessoires by THG the art deco crystal line. Mirgab VI has seven guest suites all with ensuite bathrooms.

Located on the lower deck there are two double bed and two single bed suites, one of which can be converted into a double. One spacious double cabin is found on the main deck while another two VIP suites with double beds are found on the bridge deck. The crew quarters (including a butler’s cabin) are very spacious, recognising that given the accommodation they deserve, staff stay longer and enjoy their work, which also benefits owners, guests and charter parties.

The facilities for al fresco relaxation and entertainment onboard Mirgab VI are simply superb. Aft of the owner’s suite there is a large sun deck with various loose seats and an awning system that can cover the entire deck when required. The owner’s foredeck viewing area is spacious bench seats provides delightful views slicing through the waves or entering the port.

A spacious outdoor dining with fixed teak table for twelve is found aft on the bridge deck, while a smaller fixed teak table for four serves as the ideal spot to relax and enjoy an early morning coffee or a refreshing sundowner. In front of the bridge is a spacious seating area with built-in sofas and teak side tables. The main deck aft is also a delightful lounging area with generous seating in the form of wide sofas plus two large fixed teak tables.

On the lower deck a fixed swimming platform is built which recessed into the stern. A large transom hatch opens the lazarette filled with the latest watersport facilities.

The 48.77m/160' motor yacht 'Olmida' (ex. Mirgab VI) was built by Hakvoort in the Netherlands at their Monnickendam shipyard. Her interior is styled by design house Glade Johnson Design and she was completed in 2010. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Glade Johnson Design.

Olmida features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 12,000 Litres of fresh water. She was built to Lloyds Register classification society rules.

We expect to learn more about this yacht in the coming months. The new UK-based yacht builder Arksen has announced their first sale; it is an 85-foot (25.9m) motor yacht currently known as PROJECT OCEAN. The yacht will be built using recycled aluminum, and fabrics made from recycled plastic bottles will be used in the interior. With a hybrid propulsion system powering her it’s easy to see the direction that this interesting new shipyard is heading. The 223-foot (68m) explorer yacht RAGNAR is now for sale. This impressive superyacht is a spectacular and unique conversion project from ICON yacht that was launched in 2020 and dominated the yachting press at the time. RAGNAR is asking €69,500,000. The 160-foot (48.77m) Hakvoort superyacht MIRGAB VI is also now for sale.
