The circumnavigator.

The Selene 60 is a completely new design from an entirely new mold with the Selene Deep Hull™ structure resulting in a raised sheer and a significantly higher deck which generates increased headroom in the cabins and the engine room. The Selene 60 is a perfect transitional yacht between the successful Selene 53/54 and Selene 62/66 series. She features a full-height engine room, a separate crew’s quarters aft with a transom door. An expansive and functional flybridge layout incorporates a 10-person U-shaped sofa with a built-in BBQ, sink and refrigerator. One of the unique selling points of the Selene 60 is its full-height commissary, or utility room, that is placed between the owner’s cabin and the engine room for storage, freezer, washer/dryer and access to the electrical compartment.

2,500 NM RANGE AT 9 KNOTS IN LUXURY

This commissary is an even better isolator of the engine room noise into the master cabin! Behind the « walk through » engine room you find the lazarette, which is so spacious that you can easily store your tools, spare parts and diving equipment. This roomy lazarette also offers the possibility of building a crew-cabin with head. The standard settee molded into the cockpit creates a gracious space for relaxation under way or at the dock. The European transom with inset swim platform puts the Selene 60 into the mini mega-yacht class. An optional FRP hardtop enhances both the functionality and profile of this graceful yacht. The most popular selene trawler.

Since its introduction in 2002, the Selene 54, an evolution of the famous Selene 53, has risen to be the most popular model in the Selene range. It’s easy to see why, with a powerful combination of live-aboard comfort and excellent long range cruising in safety for a couple and their guests.

With no less than eight different living areas to choose from, including three staterooms (two with ensuite bathrooms), a galley that’s integrated with the salon, and a spacious flybridge that’ll be the envy of everyone on the dock, the Selene 54 is a comfortable home afloat. Yet it can still be handled easily and safely by a couple, thanks to the secure walk around decks and Portuguese bridge, two steering stations, and bow and (optional) stern thruster.

2,000 nm range

But, like all Selene Ocean Trawlers, at it’s heart, the Selene 54 is a serious long range cruiser. The hull form of the Selene 54 has a hard chine in the aft sections to reduce roll, but this merges into the traditional displacement boat’s round bilges by the mid sections, giving the Selene 54 it’s impressive range of more than 2,000 nm and an economical cruise speed of 10 knots… Her shape below the waterline and single engine create a fuel-efficient package and the big slow-turning prop responds instantly to increases in throttle and increases maneuverability.

After being on board a Selene 54, owners often wonder how we’ve managed to pack so much into a 54′ boat! Well, for a start, it’s actually 59’10″ (18 m) overall, and with a beam of 16′ 8″ (5,12 m) ». The Selene 54 is definitely a displacement motor yacht meant for long-range cruising in style!

Cymax unidirectional bi-axial fiberglass is used for structural integrity. Above the waterline, balsa core is used for light weight, strength, stability, and insulation. Vacuum bagging insures a solid bond between core and laminate materials. Gelcoat is applied using the state-of-the-art MVP airless spray system for flawless application.

Selene trawlers are built in China by Jet-Tern Marine, an experienced manufacturer with modern, state-of-the-art facilities located just north of Hong Kong. The first Selene model, the Selene 43, arrived in the U.S. in 1999. She was soon followed by the Selene 47, and by 2003 Jet-Tern was producing a full line of Selene trawlers for dealers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Selene Trawlers are widely admired for their traditional full-displacement design, modern engineering, and quality construction.
