The renowned Italian luxury yacht builder Benetti presented its new 85m Project LIFE, “Benetti Veranda Deck” as well as B.YOND 55M or the 85m Project ORO interiors at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show . The exciting new projects as well as last year’s achievements have been presented during the ‘Shaping the future’ press conference held at the Hotel Hermitage on the occasion of its 150th anniversary.

Project Life 85M – Profile

“It is a great pleasure for me to announce our new collaborations and projects today. Offering cutting-edge yachts to the market is our mission, hence the need to further expand the brand’s collaborations with the best designers in the world and announce new revolutions in the world of yachting, of which the Veranda Deck is the new standard bearer. It’s a symposium, a triumph of excellence in yachting under the Benetti flag, and I am very proud of it” stated Giovanna Vitelli, Chair of Azimut|Benetti Group.

85m Project LIFE

The largest project presented at the conference was the 85m mega yacht Project LIFE boasting exterior design by Espen Oeino and interiors by Francois Zuretti. Øino has created a spacious superyacht based on Benetti’s unique characteristics such as the ability to imagine new lifestyles, particularly on the stern, providing a variety of interpretations of this concept throughout all decks. Vast entertainment areas and flexible meeting places are present on each deck, including a spacious revolving lounge that changes its focal point according to the time of the day.

Project Life 85M - Main Salon

Project Life 85M – Main Salon

Naturally, project LIFE is designed with the latest in technology in mind, which includes a reduction in consumption thanks to a highly efficient and optimised hull, diesel-electric propulsion with fossil and non-fossil fuel (HVO) technology and POD transmutation. Integrated solar panels collect both solar and thermal energy to power the tenders, water toys and appliances on board.

For the interior, Francois Zuretti applied a beautiful balance of colours and the surrounding environment, with plenty of natural light allowed to penetrate the inside. The design is represented by curved lines visible in the main reception area, main saloon or the upper lounge. The views of the horizon have been enhanced by floor-to-ceiling windows and thanks to a particular lighting system the designer has crewed an evocative atmosphere in all of the social and relaxation areas.

Benetti Veranda Deck

One of the exciting and innovative concepts presented was the Benetti Veranda Deck, a new interpretation of the main deck lounge which hasn’t seen a real change in the past fifty years according to the builder. The new design respects the lifestyle of the new generation of owners who love the outdoors and the indoor/outdoor flow of the areas aboard their vessels. The Veranda Deck opens the space on three sides, creating a continuous environment between the lounge and the stern. It will be first seen on the Motopanfilo 45m motor yacht with exteriors by RWD and interiors by Lazzarini Pickering Architetti.

Other projects unveiled at the conference included Project B.Yond 55m by Igor Lobanov, which represents his inaugural collaboration with Benetti.

Valentina Zannier presented the interior for Project ORO which is also a first collaboration with the shipyard and represented by fluid shapes, extensive use of natural materials, and natural yet warm colours creating a refined interior space.

b.yond 55m benetti yacht

Benetti introduces two new models and one new design feature at Monaco Yacht Show 2023

Italian shipyard Benetti has added two new models to its fleet and announced a new deck design that follows in the footsteps of the successful Oasis deck.

Revealed during the Monaco Yacht Show ,  the new models are both flagships of their lines: the Motopanfilo 45M and the B.Yond 55M. Both will be built in steel and will each have a similar design language to their smaller siblings but with some key evolutions.

The new deck is called the Veranda Deck and it aims to reimagine the main saloon by completely eliminating the barrier between interior and exterior. From the drawing boards of RWD , the new feature has been designed for a "new generation of owners [who] love contact with the outdoors".

The new Veranda Deck will be seen for the first time on the Motopanfilo 45M, which is currently in development with RWD penning the overall exterior and Lazzarini Pickering working on the interior and loose furnishings.

The Motopanfilo line draws on the design and heritage of the original Benetti motor yachts. Speaking at the event, Azimut-Benetti president Giovanna Vitelli noted that "there is a big responsibility when you take an icon from the past and reinterpret it with a modern twist".

Meanwhile, the new B.Yond model will come from the drawing boards of Lobanov Design and aims to offer something in between a superyacht and an explorer yacht . Benetti said: "Each of the five decks was designed for a distinct use, always ensuring privacy and intimacy for guests and crew. Replacing the classic ideal of symmetry with an innovative approach to the positioning of the stairs, new spaces were created inside the yacht".

Speaking at the event, Lobanov said the new B.Yond was designed to be something of an "optical illusion" which disguises the interior of the yacht. "The very thin black graphics make the yacht look bigger," he explained. "It's hard to know what lies inside from the outside".

The B.Yond model marks the third first-time collaboration for the Italian yard announced during the Monaco Yacht Show, after Benetti teamed up with Espen Øino and Valentina Zannier on Project Life and Project Oro respectively.

Benetti Yachts evolves the B.Century family and launches the innovative 85M “Project ORO”. Several collaborations with established international naval design and architecture studios are planned. The calendar of the launches is complete, as are the deliveries of the new models.

The evolution of Benetti Yachts, new B.Now and B.Century designs

At the 31st Monaco Yacht Show , Benetti Yachts presented its future strategy, based on tradition, innovation and engineering, thanks also to collaboration with international naval design and architecture studios.

The investments made over the last few years are bearing fruit, as Marco Valle, CEO of the Azimut|Benetti Group , confirms: “ Almost a month after the start of the new yachting season, a record-breaking 23 launches are planned, almost two a month. The prospects for the future are very positive: we began in September with the launch of a 50m B. Now and will conclude in August with the launch of a 68m B.Century. The order backlog is trending upwards, with new model deliveries planned until 2027”.

The B.Now and B.Century families available with traditional, hybrid or diesel electric propulsion . Azimut|Benetti has been committed to the development of different types of propulsion for more than 10 years, supporting the reduction of environmental impact, for an increasingly sustainable boating industry.

B.Now, spaces connected with the sea

Benetti-Yachts-B.Now-60M

These new models join the family composed of the 50, 60, 67 and 72M and have become one of Benetti ‘s bestsellers, thanks to the 20 units already sold.

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design , through the testimony of Paul Costerus, Senior Yacht Designer & https://www.benettiyachts.it/ Project Manager , traced the lines of the interiors that distinguish the B.Now 67M Oasis in concept and size.

Interiors and exteriors have a continuity, highlighted by the sliding windows on the main deck and the large windows.

The construction process of the new B.Now 60M was described by Andrew Collett, RWD Project Manager. The lines enhance the Oasis Deck solution by favouring the use of natural light and a continuity with the sea. The interior and exterior spaces can be redefined into new hospitality destinations, according to the needs of the owner and his guests, for a dynamic and informal, yet elegant and refined life on board.

B.Century, bespoke solutions

B.Century-75M

Created in the wake of the success of the multi-award-winning Triumph (65 m) – premiered at the Monaco Yacht Show – Metis (63 m), Zazou (65 m) and Calex (67 m), the B. Century family includes five custom yachts designed from an engineered platform. Century family includes custom yachts built from an engineered platform that has been enriched with no less than five models designed to offer unique solutions, distinguished by their distinctive aesthetics: two 55-metre designs, one with a generous Sun Deck open on all sides, and the other with the Upper Deck transformed into an Owner Deck with a bow master suite and private terrace.

A 62-metre yacht with unbeatable content, a rational and elegant 68-metre yacht and a 75-metre yacht that introduces new layout concepts, such as the unprecedented Pool Club and Sea Club solution conceived on two different levels. Each yacht is unique in terms of stylistic innovation, layout and on-board concept. “ A distinctive feature is the formal cleanliness of the continuous signs that describe the yachts’ shapes, the flow of lines runs uninterrupted describing volumes that unmistakably express Benetti’s stylistic identity “.

Benetti Project Oro, luxury and sustainability

‘Project ORO’ is a design dedicated to yachts over 80 metres, using the most modern propulsion technology and minimizing dimensional impact. “ During the development of “Project ORO ,” says Giorgio M. Cassetta, “ we wanted to seize the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aspiring to bring them together in a unique yacht. By developing a language of style featuring great visual purity and strong characterization of the main masses, and by renouncing the criteria of civil architecture in favour of a freer and more fluid approach, we have tried to propel the project into an attainable future. We hope the bold content recognises a series of desires that customers in this size range frequently express and are unlikely to have found fulfilled by the boats they have looked at so far”.

Benetti showcase 85m Project Oro at Monaco Yacht Show

The shipyard has also presented new b.now designs….

Benetti hosted a press conference at the Hermitage Hotel to announce its plans. The shipyard’s strategy rests on three main pillars: a tradition of craftsmanship, technological innovation and advanced process engineering, and partnerships with leading international naval design and architecture firms. For Benetti, this is a period of important milestones, with record-breaking economic and commercial results.

Commenting on the announcement, Marco Valle, Chief Executive Officer of Azmiut|Benetti, said, “We have invested heavily in R&D in recent years to develop new boats and the results are outstanding: almost a month after the start of the new yachting season, a record-breaking 23 launches are planned, almost two a month. The prospects for the future are very positive: we began in September with the launch of a 50m B.Now and will conclude in August with the launch of a 68m B.Century. The order backlog is trending upwards, with new model deliveries planned until 2027.”

Sebastiano Fanizza, Benetti's Chief Commercial Officer, presented the most important features of Iryna (B.Now 50m), making its premiere in Monaco, the B.Now 60m and the new B.Now 67m OASIS. “The B.NOW family is a significant achievement for Benetti, comprising 50m, 60m, 67m, and 72m models and now one of the brand’s bestsellers, with 20 units already sold.”

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design 's  Paul Costerus, the company’s Senior Yacht Designer & Project Manager, outlined the distinguishing interior design features of the B.Now 67m Oasis in terms of its concept and size. Andrew Collet, RWD Project Manager, outlined the construction process for the new B.Now 60m, whose dynamic lines add value to the Oasis Deck® solution by favouring the use of natural light and unrivalled continuity with the water.

Fanizza went on to present the evolution of the B.CENTURY line, created in partnership with  Cassetta Yacht Designers . Born out of the success of multi-award-winning yachts 65m Triumph, 63m Metis, 65m Zazou, and 67m Calex, the B.CENTURY family includes custom yachts built on a highly successful engineered platform enriched by five models created to offer solutions never seen before and a distinctive signature look: two 55m projects, a 62m yacht, a 68m model, and a 75m unit. Each yacht is uniquely innovative in terms of style, layout, and onboard concept.

There is a special focus on offering different types of propulsion systems, with technological solutions that reduce environmental impact. This is a concrete commitment that Azimut|Benetti Group began to address over ten years ago, contributing to the creation of an increasingly sustainable yacht-building industry. The B.Now and B.Century families are available with traditional, hybrid, or diesel-electric propulsion systems.

Project Oro was inspired by the shipyard’s interaction with clients on yachts over 80m, as well as from the need to answer questions raised by the market about Benetti’s idea for a real-world project in this segment. The project is a window on the future of Benetti, which maintains its pragmatic approach to construction. It takes advantage of the latest propulsion technology and minimises the dimensions.

“During the development of “Project ORO,” said Giorgio M. Cassetta, “we wanted to seize the opportunity to express numerous innovative concepts, aspiring to bring them together in a unique yacht. By developing a language of style featuring great visual purity and strong characterisation of the main masses, and by renouncing the criteria of civil architecture in favour of a freer and more fluid approach, we have tried to propel the project into an attainable future. We hope the bold content recognises a series of desires that customers in this size range frequently express and are unlikely to have found fulfilled by the boats they have looked at so far.”

Benetti returns to Monaco and chooses the world’s most exclusive boat show for the public premiere of the fleet’s flagship, 108-meter giga yacht “IJE”, the largest boat on display at this year’s event.

Moored with this giga yacht will be the 65-meter mega yacht “Zazou” with her unmistakable Blu Carinthia steel hull, and the first unit of Diamond 44M, a majestic 44-meter fiberglass yacht. Both are making their international debut at the event.

Benetti yachts are perfectly at home in a location like the Principality of Monaco, traditionally a symbol of exclusiveness, elegance and charm. This is why the Tuscan shipyard, synonymous with excellence in the world of large yachts, technology and innovation, is showcasing for the very first time to the world the 108-meter giga yacht “IJE”, the 65-meter mega yacht “Zazou” and the first unit of the Diamond 44M, a 44-meter fiberglass yacht.

Designed to cross thousands of miles of ocean without needing to refuel, “IJE” has a majestic and determined profile as befits the largest yacht that an Italian privately-owned shipyard has ever built, representing the perfect combination of important engineering features and the customary elegance of the Benetti brand.

The Monaco Yacht Show will provide the backdrop for another important debut on the international stage. Also making her first appearance on the scene, M/Y “Zazou” is a 65-meter full custom steel yacht designed to offer 12 guests endless opportunities for relaxation, leisure activities and amusement, all set in an elegant and modern ambience. At their complete disposal is one of the largest Sun Decks in the category: 20 meters equipped with an infinity pool, a gym, a bar, a comfortable sheltered dining space and a sunbathing area that converts into a magical open-air cinema in the evening. The exteriors on the Upper and Main Decks have areas set aside for conversation and relaxation, while inside, among the other comforts for guests to enjoy, are a massage room and a second hi-tech screening room with every comfort.

For this mega yacht, Giorgio M. Cassetta has created dynamic exterior lines that set off the vessel’s sleek profile with explosive effect. The indoor spaces are enhanced by elegant furnishing details by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the Dutch firm behind the interior and, in part, the exterior design, not to mention the full custom built-in furniture and numerous design accessories created especially for this project.

Also making her official debut is the first unit of the refined Diamond 44M, with exterior styling by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors by the Benetti Interior Design Department.

These three yachts are emblematic examples of Benetti’s design and construction capabilities, the shipyard which over the years has demonstrated its ability to keep the brand’s glamorous heritage alive, offering models with an elegant and timeless appeal, as well as all the technical know-how needed to build any boat that owners dare to desire.

The flagship not only of the Benetti fleet, but also of the entire Monaco Yacht Show, the giga yacht “IJE”, which appears at the show in collaboration with the broker Burgess, offers guests over 1,000 square meters of exteriors on five decks. UK-based design firm RWD developed the exterior design and decor, creating areas devoted to entertainment and relaxation on every deck. From the heated swimming pool on the Main Deck, via the dining areas on the Owner and Main Decks, to the collection of water toys and tenders, this giga yacht is designed and built to enjoy life on board to the full. The high points of the 108-meter steel yacht are the Observation Deck and the outdoor fireplace on the Bridge Deck, while the interiors by the Benetti Interior Style Department are also a joy to discover.

Benetti takes centre stage at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show

Benetti

Benetti, the storied Italian shipyard that celebrates its 150th anniversary this year, is returning to the Monaco Yacht Show to meet up with its customers in an atmosphere of pure exclusiveness and charm. The Principality of Monaco has always been the perfect location for yachts built by Benetti, the undisputed leader in the world of super and mega yachts and a byword for design excellence. Exhibited at the show as world premiere will be two models from the B.Now 50M line, a family of steel mega yachts with interiors designed by Benetti’s Style Department in collaboration with UK-based studio RWD, which handled the exterior styling.

M/Y FANTASEA (B.NOW 50M) With its spacious 36m 2 beach club, a stern pool on the main deck and a forward jacuzzi on the sun deck, this superyacht is an invitation to enjoy outdoor life. Unlike its predecessors, the yacht has a comfortable steam room in the beach area for total relaxation. All the outdoor furnishings are made to measure to the owner’s specifications, while the yacht’s large glass doors produce the feeling of indoor-outdoor continuity. The interiors, designed by Benetti’s Interior Style Department, are modern spaces with top quality ceramic finishes.

M/Y ALUNYA (B.NOW 50M) Another Benetti eye-catcher at the Monaco Show will be Alunya. This 50m yacht is the second model in the B.Now family to feature the Oasis Deck, the solution with which Benetti has redefined the traditional stern swim platform with hydraulically operated terraces that open out across the entire breadth of the deck to offer a formidable 110m 2 beach club. The Oasis Deck ensures an unimpeded 270° view astern. The beach area also has a glass-walled infinity pool and numerous conviviality spaces.

Benetti at the Monaco Yacht Show, the state of play

benetti monaco yacht show

Benetti, at the Monaco Yacht Show with two 65- and 108-metre superyachts, takes stock of the situation: 16 yachts between 50 and 100 metres in the order book (top: FB274 ZAZOU)

The international appointment at the Monaco Yacht Show, where Benetti is exhibiting Zazou , a 65-metre superyacht, and the 108-metre Giga yacht IJE , the Show’s flagship, also gave the shipyard an opportunity to take stock of the brand’s activities in the large steel and aluminium yacht segment .

There are three main assets : construction expertise, technological innovation and collaboration with established design and naval architecture studios. The results are already evident: 16 units between 50 and 100 metres in steel in the order book.

benetti

FB274 ZAZOU

Marco Valle, CEO of the Azimut Benetti Group , commented: “Thanks to the experience gained with the giga yachts, we have made a further qualitative, technological and image leap, which the market is rewarding. Today Benetti’s strategy is to continue with custom constructions and grow with naval platforms up to 70 metres and beyond, while at the same time proceeding with the adoption of technological solutions in the name of sustainability, an area we have been working in for over 15 years”.

Benetti presented a picture of the custom yachts currently under construction, including a 62-metre designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta with naval architecture by Dutch naval studio Van Oossanen , and three 67-metre yachts based on the B.Century platform, already successfully used for Metis , Triumph and Zazou .

Another major player was the Oasis Deck concept, a space designed to go beyond the traditional concept of a “beach area” by further expanding the spaces. First debuted last year on the Oasis 40M designed by RWD , then adopted on board the 4 steel models of the B.Now family , also designed by the English studio.  As Benetti points out, in addition to the 50-metre, Oasis Deck will also be on the new 58M, 66M and 72M designs.

benetti monaco yacht show

The first B.Now 66M Oasis was sold before construction even started, so the yard will start building the second unit in 2022, which will boast an interior design by Studio Sinot .

Studio Sinot, through Paul Costerus, Senior Yacht Designer & Project Manager, was also involved with Giorgio M. Cassetta in the presentation of Zazou , the 65-metre custom yacht launched in Livorno last April and now making her debut in Monaco. Zazou features a bright and welcoming interior, characterised by modern luxury and a neutral palette combined with brighter accents in the furnishings and accessories.

benetti

B.Now 66M Oasis Deck

Last but not least is the chapter on the development of propulsion solutions . The 65-metre Ambrosia was the first yacht in the pleasure yachting sector to install a diesel-electric system in 2006 with the AZIPOD , followed in 2016 by the 90-metre Lionheart , a diesel-electric with shaft line, and more recently by two giant yachts, Lana (107 metres) and Luminosity (107.6 metres, the largest hybrid ever built in the pleasure yacht world).

Still, in the field of sustainable propulsion, Benetti’s proposal is the E-MODE HYBRID system , developed in collaboration with Siemens and proposed, for the moment, on the B.Yond 37M. The benefits of the system highlight a significant reduction in emissions, easy management, high reliability and simplicity of use.

On the B.Yond 37M Hybrid, the adoption of the E-MODE system in combination with SCR filters on the main engines allows a significant reduction in emissions. This makes the B.Yond 37M a Low Emission superyacht which, when efficiently managed, can reduce NOx emissions by up to 70% and CO2 emissions by up to 20%.

To date, of the 6 units of B.Yond 37M sold, 3 have been ordered with the E-MODE HYBRID system and it is expected that the same system will be offered on the larger models of the line.

Giovanna Vitelli, Vice President of the Group , declared herself satisfied with the response that Benetti has had on the market in the segment from 50 metres upwards. “A confirmation that Benetti is, to all intents and purposes, ‘The House of Yachting’.  These results reflect the dedication to the development of new models and the investments that the owners have made for the Livorno yard in recent years”.

The Monaco Yacht Show 2023: A Round Up of the Top Stories

By Frances Flannagan

After a truly spectacular edition of the Monaco Yacht Show this year, we take a look at some of the top news stories from the event. From new launches, to concept designs, this year’s show featured a host of exciting industry updates.

The Monaco Yacht Show 2023 undoubtedly saw a range of exciting updates for the industry; we take a look at six of the top news that was unveiled during the show. We delve into the announcement of the launch of the first Amels 80, the unveiling of two concept designs from Feadship and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the reveal of Benetti's 85m project and Rossinavi’s 66m diesel electric ALCHEMY, as well as taking a look at Lürssen's 97m CARINTHIA VII following her 10-month refit.

The First Amels 80 Launched

On schedule to be delivered in 2025, the first Amels 80’s new hull and superstructure were spotted outside of her build shed. Described by Sean Bianchi, Partner and Head of New Construction at Burgess, and Naval Architect, as a yacht which will ‘stand out amongst her peers and set the benchmark for future yachts’, her launch was highly exciting news announced by the shipyard on the first morning of the yacht show.

Designed by Espen Øino, Amels 80 features a holistic and modern exterior design, in keeping with the Amels DNA. She also features sustainable materials and innovative hybrid technology, a key factor of the next-generation Amels' design.

‘The Amels 80 is a design that will not age. Her modern strong lines will look as good in 10 years as the day she is delivered. She is a big ship, full of features, with an impressive interior volume. She is everything and more that you would expect from an 80-metre yacht. There is a sense of scale, and nothing is wasted,’ commented Espen Øino.

Her interiors are custom-built, penned by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, with a neutral and natural palette, allowing for the owner to add their own personal style. She can accommodate up to 14 guests, who can enjoy a 200 square metres sun deck, a waterside beach club which opens on three sides and a wellness area and spa, to name a few of the fantastic amenities on board.

Benetti’s Full-Custom Espen Øino-Designed 85m Project Announced

PROJECT LIFE, Benetti’s new full-custom 85m, is a welcome addition to the Italian yard’s megayacht fleet. Her exteriors have also been penned by Espen Øino, who has injected Benetti’s distinctive characteristics into PROJECT LIFE’s design: the capacity to invent new lifestyles, offering varied interpretations of this concept across the decks. All spaces onboard are designed with sociability in mind, for instance, the large revolving lounge that changes its focal point depending on the time of day.

Her interiors have been designed by Francois Zuretti, who has chosen a beautiful balance between the colours and the surrounding environment, with an expanded opening that allows natural light to enhance the spaces.

PROJECT LIFE is built with all the available technologies to help reduce consumption, including diesel-electric propulsion and integrated hybrid solar panels that collect solar and thermal energy to power appliances onboard.

A Look Inside Lürssen’s 97m CARINTHIA VII Following Refit

Following a 10-month refit by Lürssen at its Hamburg facilities, the results of CARINTHIA VII’s extensive refit were revealed at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, where she was presented to the charter market for the first time, represented by Fraser.

She was designed by Tim Heywood, regarded by many as one of the world’s first true mega yachts. Kept largely hidden from industry over the last 21 years, with her interior rarely seen, her introduction to the charter market has been eagerly awaited, as has the results of her refit.

Her new work includes redesigned exterior decks, new lounge and living areas and a new 12m/39’ pool and 90sqm air-conditioned gymnasium. Her interiors are sophisticated and elegant, with beautiful wooden flooring pervading the design and neutral beige and browns contrasted with cool-tone hues of blues and stunningly clean white stylings. She is a true masterpiece and an unmissable offering to the charter market.

Embracing Sustainability: Feadship Debuts Project DUNES

DUNE takes a significant step towards Feadship’s goal of Net-Zero superyachts, combining features that reduce energy demand with technology that eliminates emissions and increases efficiency. Each individual element of the design assists in reducing environmental impact, for instance, shading windows to reduce cooling requirements, however, when implemented together, they slash a superyacht’s environmental impact dramatically.

Inspired by the aesthetics of sand dunes, this vessel reflects the onboard lifestyle that today’s owners desire, with flexible, multi-purpose spaces, endless views, and a combination of sociable open-plan areas with cosy, intimate spaces. She has an asymmetrical superstructure with almost no straight lines, meaning that spaces drift into one another, furthering the notion of flow throughout the yacht, and the heavy use of glass seamlessly blends the interiors with the surroundings.

Her design, along with all Feadship concepts, is a true joint effort between Feadship, Studio de Voogt and the yard's Knowledge and Innovation department. With a wealth of expertise and experience across all collaborators, the shipyard’s concept designs are able to be of the highest possible quality.

AWARE, The Essence of Luxury, Presented by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design

Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design presented the 79.9m yacht concept AWARE at the Monaco Yacht Show, a ready-to-build, fully operational concept with a 1600 mm scale model. Her design combines proven technology with innovation and the use of the most precious and durable materials. At the forefront of this design is space optimisation, with an abundance of space on board, vast exterior decks and an unparalleled inside-outside connection,

AWARE has been described as the ‘Essence of Luxury’: a logical step in yacht design in which all space is optimised to give guests on board the best possible experience. Sander Sinot, Designer at the firm commented:

‘For the design of AWARE the focus is on maximising the space on board within the yacht’s limited structure. We designed open plan layouts for the beach club, lounges and exterior decks that offer inherent flexibility and ample space while reducing the number of decks.’

With exceptional features to optimise the outside areas, including a beach club with a three-metre high ceiling, the interiors have similarly been designed to provide ultimate functionality and a spectacular inside-out experience. She is a tri-deck design with an open plan pavilion on the bridge deck, allowing for unrestricted views of the ocean on all sides.

Rossinavi’s 66m Diesel Electric Motor Yacht ALCHEMY

Unveiled at Port Hercules was Rossinavi’s 66m M/Y ALCHEMY, a fully custom design by Vitruvius Yachts with interior and exterior styling by Enrico Gobbi. She features diesel-electric propulsion, propelled by rods to reduce the loss of energy between the engines and navigation speed.

ALCHEMY is an elegant tri-deck design with a focus on the outdoor areas and wellness aspects of the yacht. With a spacious central corridor, the forward owner’s cabin offers a clear view of the sea, creating a sense of openness in the design alongside a strong connection to the surroundings. A special emphasis has been placed on ensuring comfort on board, in particular the minimisation of vibrations, meaning that every technical and material choice has been considered to reduce noise and vibrations.

The atmosphere throughout this vessel is calm and elegant, with every single piece of furniture being bespoke. Enrico Gobbi commented:

‘Spa mood was the keyword for the interior design and exterior decor of this yacht; natural materials, soft colours, and essential shapes for the interiors. Soft indirect lights to 'wet' the simplicity of the forms, where the detail and construction quality had to emerge and characterize the space: 'detail makes the differences' this is the motto that we have followed more than ever in this project together with the owners.’

The 32nd edition of the Monaco Yacht Show was as spectacular as ever, we can only begin to imagine the wonders that the 2024 event will hold.

"The Amels 80 is a design that will not age. Her modern strong lines will look as good in 10 years as the day she is delivered." Espen Øino, Designer and Naval Architect

The flagship not only of the Benetti fleet, but also of the entire Monaco Yacht Show, the giga yacht “ IJE ”, which appears at the show in collaboration with the broker Burgess , offers guests over 1,000 square meters of exteriors on five decks.

The indoor spaces are enhanced by elegant furnishing details by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design , the Dutch firm behind the interior and, in part, the exterior design, not to mention the full custom built-in furniture and numerous design accessories created especially for this project.

Benetti will be at the Monaco Yacht Show from September 22 to 25, 2021 – Stand QE28

BENETTI SHOWS OFF AT THE MONACO YACHT SHOW FROM SEPTEMBER 23RD TO THE 26TH, 2015

  • One European and two worldwide debuts for the Tuscan yard
  • FB265 M/Y 11/11 twin owner’s cabin with a plumb bow that cuts through the sea – her world debut
  • FB255 M/Y Formosa, five decks in 60 meters of aluminum and steel – her world debut
  • BF 203 M/Y H, third unit of the Veloce 140’ Fast Displacement series – her European debut

FB265 MY 11/11  The 63 meter mega yacht has a special design and aesthetic factor that you notice immediately: her plumb bow, which allows for an increased dynamic tendency, literally cutting through the water.

The FB265 MY 11/11’s interiors are just as original. Her designated layout favors two spacious and comfortable owner’s cabins, one on the full beam main deck, the second on the upper deck with private access to the pool and solarium deck. The four guest cabins are on the lower deck, each with its own en-suite washroom.

Performance, with two CAT 3512C engines developing 1350kW each, gave her a top speed of 17 knots during her first preliminary sea trails.

Scenic effects and nighttime illumination are assured while at anchor with 46 lights placed below the waterline of the superyacht.

More info at  www.1111voyager.com  or write to  [email protected]

FB255 M/Y Formosa  The steel and aluminum hull of the Formosa FB255 superyacht – whose exterior styling and naval architecture were done entirely by Benetti – has five decks, with 60 meters of length overall, a beam of 10.6 meters and a displacement of 1,060 GT.

The guest area’s layout and design were created by Sinot Design, in close collaboration with the owner. Five suites for ten guests are foreseen, with a complete deck given over to the owner’s apartment. 14 crew members will assist the captain and look after the owner and guests.

The Formosa FB255, propelled by twin MTU 12V4000 M53 engines that develop 1,380kW at 1.800rpm has a top speed of 16 knots, with a cruising speed of 15 knots. While economy cruising at 12 knots the FB255 has a range of 5,000 nautical miles.

BF 203 M/Y H  is the third yacht of the Fast Displacement Veloce 140’ series and is characterized by a new hull design that makes the D2P (Displacement to Planing) hull even more efficient. The Wave Piercer is a bulb mounted on the bow that comes into play when the yacht reaches 17 or 18 knots. The Wave Piercer travels just below the surface at slow speed, but once the vessel reaches the proper speed the Wave Piercer emerges and increases the effective waterline length, giving the yacht better performance and efficiency. Fuel efficiency increases by about 10% at a given speed, while with the same power there is an increase of about 10%, therefore allowing higher speeds.

The BF 203 M/Y H is equipped with twin five blade propellers and twin power plants developing 2,580kW each, with a straight propeller shaft configuration.

The BF 203 M/Y’s internal layout offers four guest cabins – two with twin beds and two queen size – on the lower deck, while the owner’s apartment is forward on the main deck. On the same deck we have the main salon with bar zone and bridge, all with lateral panoramic windows for a perfect view. The dining area, with a large expandable table, is on the upper deck together with a second salon. There are two sunbathing areas: forward of the upper deck with Jacuzzi and for the complete length of the sun deck with a corner bar.

Palm Beach International Boat Show

For superyacht shoppers, the Palm Beach International Boat Show, kicking off its four-day run this week, is set to break records with more than 60 yachts over 100 feet long on display. Last year was also a banner year for superyachts at the show.

Headliners will include the likes of the 295-foot Corsair Nero ,  the 278-foot Victorious by AKYacht, the 230-foot Turquoise-built Talisman C , and 213-foot Benetti Triumph among brokerage yachts, and in new yachts, the 113-foot Ocean Alexander Puro 35 is making its world debut.

There are so many gleaming white vessels over 100 feet, in fact, that the fleet will be split between the Palm Harbor Marina at the main show site on the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront and the Safe Harbor Rybovich Marina two miles north.

Now in its 42nd year, PBIBS will also showcase hundreds of models of dayboats, cruisers, and fishing boats, as well as marine accessories. Running from this Thursday through Sunday, the show coincides with the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary art show, a fortuitous opportunity for yacht owners wanting to add new art to their collections.

Here are 10 must-see boats at this year’s show.

Corsair Yachts ‘Nero’

benetti monaco yacht show

The undisputed star of this year’s Palm Beach show? That would be the 295-foot, classically styled superyacht Nero , built in 2007 and inspired by American financier J.P. Morgan’s legendary 1930s steamer Corsair IV . Nero ‘s attendance at PBIBS marks its return to the charter market after an extensive refit in 2021. Now better than new, the boat is being managed by Burgess. With weekly charter rates from $497,000, the vessel offers five-star accommodations for 12 guests in six cabins, with pampering from a crew of 20. Part of the refit included a full interior refresh by Italian interior designer Laura Pomponi, plus a major focus on wellness. That meant the construction of a new, state-of-the-art gym and spa, the assistance of a certified onboard trainer, a masseuse and beautician. After PBIBS, Nero will spend the winter in the Caribbean before returning to the Med for the summer season.

Ocean Alexander Puro 35P

benetti monaco yacht show

Ocean Alexander is debuting the first of its new Puro superyacht series at PBIBS. The 113-foot Puro 35P comes from the drawing board of Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta and is a step back from the polarizing lines of OA’s recent Revolution and Explorer series with their bold, vertical bow designs. Aimed at long-distance cruising, the 35P can carry over 5,000 gallons of fuel and is powered by twin 2,000 hp MAN V12s for a 24-knot top speed. Twin 55kW Kohler generators can also keep the yacht powered at anchor for long periods. Other standout features include extensive glazing in the chiseled fiberglass hull, a forward deck plunge pool, and spacious accommodations for 10 guests.

benetti monaco yacht show

Think of it as the “starter” Sirena. Aimed at a younger demographic, the Turkish builder’s brand-new Sirena 48 is making its U.S. debut at PBIBS after a global reveal at last fall’s Cannes boat show. Such is its appeal that 27 hulls have already been sold, with 13 of the orders coming from North America. Looking like a scaled-down version of Sirena’s popular 58, its distinctive, trawler-style lines are from Argentinian designer Germán Frers. With more interior space than a typical 48-footer, the yacht offers three staterooms—plus a crew cabin—a spacious, light-filled salon, a large cockpit, an oversized flybridge, and a vast forward social area. Take your pick from twin 550 hp Cummins QSB, or 670 hp Volvo D11 turbo diesels. Or the builder is also offering hybrid power with twin 285 hp electric motors charged up by variable-speed generators that are good for a 30-mile battery-only range.

Feadship ‘Olympus’

benetti monaco yacht show

Picture purchasing a classic 180-foot Feadship superyacht, and then getting a $10 million bill for a major refit. That was the case with Olympus , built by the Dutch masters at Feadship in 1996 to a design by Britain’s Andrew Winch and the celebrated naval architect Frits De Voogt. Sold in 2022, the new owner sent it to the Monaco Marine refit center in La Ciotat, France for a major makeover. It included overhauling the 2,600 hp Caterpillar engines and generators, repairs to the structure, substantial upgrades to the guest areas and crew quarters, and new paint throughout. With the work completed just last year, the vessel is said to be in mint condition. Offered jointly by brokers Fraser and Edmiston, Olympus has an asking price of $28.5 million. With accommodations for 16 guests in eight cabins, the boat’s highlights include two primary suites, tropical-spec air conditioning, and Palm Beach-chic decor.

Benetti ‘Triumph’

benetti monaco yacht show

Italian yachting powerhouse Benetti is showing off its superyacht-building skills with the 213-foot Triumph . Delivered in 2021, this Giorgio M. Cassetta-designed steel-and-aluminum world girder features six decks, a 1,400-square-foot primary suite with outdoor terrace and adjoining lounge, a 750-square-foot beach club, and a touch-and-go helipad. What sets Triumph apart, however, is its lavish interior furnishings put together by the owner along with Benetti Interior Style and Monaco-based Green & Mingarelli Design. It includes pieces by French glassmaker Lalique, marble from Marfil, Statuario and Armani, furs, silk and wool carpets, plus a collection of cool black-and-white wildlife photographs by British fine art photographer David Yarrow. The pièce de résistance? That would be the owner’s Triumph Bonneville motorcycle displayed in the salon.

Fjord 39 XP/XL

benetti monaco yacht show

Germany’s Fjord Yachts, part of the Hanse Group, has a new 39-foot day boat that it’s unveiling at the Palm Beach show. The 39 XP and XL keep all the bold design cues of the bigger Fjord 41 XP and XL, like a big, open cockpit, walkaround center console, vertical bow, mile-high windshield and stretched hardtop. As for the differences between the XP and XL, it’s all about power. The XL comes with a choice of twin 320hp Volvo D4 diesels, or bigger 440 hp D6 versions, both with Volvo stern drives. Likely more appealing to U.S. buyers will be the XP powered by twin 400 hp Mercury Verado V10 outboards giving a 50-knot top speed. Pricing starts at around $500,000.

Turquoise ‘Talisman C’

benetti monaco yacht show

Chandeliers don’t come more dramatic than this. Cascading down the central spiral staircase of the Turkish-built, 231-foot superyacht Talisman C , this jaw-dropping piece of art comprises an array of multi-colored glass balls threaded on stainless-steel rods and illuminated by hanging fiber-optic strands. It’s the creation of Prague-based Crystal Caviar and is one of a number of glass installations on this sleek, low-profile superyacht. Built in 2011 by the Proteksan Turquoise shipyard, Talisman C was designed inside and out by London-based studio H2 Yacht Design, with naval architecture by Italy’s Hydro Tec. With cabins for 12 guests, one of its highlights is a huge primary suite, which boasts more crystal chandeliers and a private library. Twin 2,447 hp Caterpillar diesels give a top speed of 18 knots and a transatlantic range of 7,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. It’s listed with Burgess for $59.9 million.

Sanlorenzo 44 ‘Kamakasa’

benetti monaco yacht show

Delivered in 2020 and sold to a new buyer just last August, the 146-foot Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy Kamakasa will be for sale at PBIBS. The asking price, through the Italian Yacht Group, is $23.75 million. Lack of use might also be the issue here; the yacht’s twin 2,600 hp MTU V16 diesels have a mere 289 hours on the clock. Built in aluminum to a design by Rome-based Zuccon International Project, Kamakasa was the second hull in the Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy series. One of the top features is a primary suite that spans three levels and almost 1,600 square feet; it also comes with a private Jacuzzi, separate bathrooms, a walk-in closet, and a private study. The yacht’s lightweight construction and MTU power combine to deliver an impressive 20-knot top speed.

Bahama 41 GT2

benetti monaco yacht show

As ultimate, reel-’em-in, fishing center consoles go, the Bahama 41 from West Palm Beach-based Bahama Boat Works is as hard-core as they come. But when owners kept asking for a little more comfort for the family, the builder responded. The result is the brand-new flagship 41 GT debuting at PBIBS. While the proven, wave-slicing hull stays the same, the cockpit layout is new. In place of the single bench seat, there are now three-across bucket seats with a second row behind. The wider console now has space for a pair of 22-inch Garmin screens, while the new extended hardtop features sun shades and even a rain shower. Outboard choices stay the same with either twin Mercury V12 600s, or four 400 hp Mercury V10s, good for a 65-knot-plus top speed. Pricing is from around $920,000.

Heesen ‘Book Ends’

benetti monaco yacht show

Launched in 2022, this 164-foot Heesen is part of the Book Ends collection, owned by an American couple who have had more than 18 yachts with the same name. The exterior design of this Heesen was by Omega Architects, while Dutch studio Van Oossanen did the naval architecture. The yacht is part of Heesen’s fast cruising series, which is more efficient than other vessels its size, and can reach 23 knots at full speed with its MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines. The yacht is listed through Ocean Independence for 42 million Euro, or about $45.7 million.
