A BATHING APE® X Bored Ape Yacht Club

A BATHING APE® (hereinafter,BAPE®) has teamed up with NFT production studio Yuga Labs to release a collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). The collection reflects the relaxed atmosphere of the early 2000s, when streetwear brands were a new trend, and features a lineup of apparel and footwear with the flashy and bold designs that both brands embody.

APE HEADThe design combines the logos and brand names of both brands to create the "A BORED APE" collection. The lineup includes tees and coach jackets.

The brand's signature ABC CAMOThe collection will feature the BAYC logo and other classic items such as pullover hoodies, trucker caps, and bucket hats.

A rug with BABY MILO® arranged in the style of BAYC's iconic Curtis.APE HEADWe also stock home items such as cushions.

BAPE The STA™ has also been arranged in a special design. The upper features ABC CAMOThe clear rubber outsole features a Curtis design. Only 1,000 pairs are produced worldwide, each with its own serial number.

Bored Ape Yacht Club and BAPE To Collaborate on Limited Edition Collection

With early teasers indicating a remix of the classic ape head logo tee and camo motif..

Yuga Labs , the Web3 company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) NFT collection has announced a collaboration with iconic Japan-based streetwear brand, A BATHING APE, better known as BAPE .

While little information has been shared as to what type of items the collaborative capsule will include, BAYC did share that fans of both brands can expect to see designs that reflect “lazy opulence and irreverence.” Based on the teaser image that was shared, it appears there will be at the very least one Ape Head logo tee, with various BAYC elements and inspirations integrated into it.

The streetwear collection will debut at Bored Ape’s ApeFest in November before the wider public can purchase it in December.

In an exciting new collaboration, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) and A Bathing Ape (BAPE) are joining forces to release a limited-edition streetwear collection. The announcement has left fans of both brands eagerly awaiting the upcoming drop.

Launch Details

According to Bored Ape’s announcement , the collection will debut during the ApeFest Hong Kong event in November 2023 before unveiling it to the broader community. 

“The BAYC X @BAPEOFFICIAL collab will make its debut with a limited quantity physical collection at ApeFest Hong Kong. Apes not attending can also purchase pieces from the collection online. Apes will have first dibs, but the collection will drop globally in BAPE stores soon,” the tweet states. 

Initially, the collection will be available exclusively at ApeFest Hong Kong and through an online token-gated portal for Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT holders. Following this, holders of BAPE's Bapetaverse NFT project will gain access. By December, the wider public can purchase the collection in BAPE stores and the online BAPE shop.

The partnership between BAYC and BAPE is a seamless blend, with both brands having solid ties to ape motifs. BAYC is renowned for its collection of 10,000 unique Bored Ape NFTs. In contrast, BAPE, the iconic Japanese streetwear brand, has been championing ape imagery since its inception in 1993.

What to Expect

From BAYC’s Twitter image, showcasing a cartoonish Ape on a t-shirt, enthusiasts can anticipate a mix of apparel and accessories in the collection. The designs are expected to merge the aesthetics of both BAYC and BAPE harmoniously.

The design will first come as a streetwear drop at the ApeFest Hong Kong event. 

This collaboration represents a fusion of fashion and digital art and showcases the growing impact and influence of NFTs in mainstream culture.

A BATHING APE link up with Bored Ape Yacht Club for an irreverent new collection.

2023 has been a wildly unpredictable year for fashion collaborations and the latest of which sees the Web3 company behind Bored Ape Yacht Club, Yuga Labs, partner up with cultural streetwear icon, A BATHING APE®. The collection sees the two now-iconic primate mascots – Curtis the Ape and BABY MILO® – playfully mixed on a collection of items that have become signatures to the Japanese brand including classic tees, hats and an exuberant Curtis rug rocking Bored Ape’s well-recognised sailor hat.

A standout item is a remix on the classic BAPE STA® which features a clear, ice rubber sole and an undersole showing Curtis.

As the Bored Ape Gazette previously reported, Yuga Labs announced its collaboration with BAPE last month and revealed that this primate partnership would be making its debut at ApeFest 2023!

An irreverent remix of the classics: a bathing ape® and bored ape yacht club reveal their collection.

MIAMI , Nov. 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Yuga Labs and A BATHING APE ®  (BAPE ® ) today unveiled the full collection of their collaboration, announced in September.

BAPE ® X BAYC linked up to take their fans back to the early 2000s when streetwear brands were more avant garde and didn't take themselves too seriously. The collection is brought to life in an array of apparel, footwear, and accessories that are loud, irreverent, and reminiscent of the laid back opulence that both brands embody.

Key garments include a coach's jacket mashing up their logos and names as A Bored Ape . A playful mix of each brand's primate mascot— Curtis the Ape and BABY MILO ® – are featured in tees exclusive to Bored Ape holders and BAPETAVERSE members, along with the BAPE ® classic ABC camo pullover hoodie. The collection also boasts accessories like adjustable mesh trucker caps, bucket hats, and, for those lazy couch days, a BAYC Curtis rug and a BAPE ® cushion.

BAPE ® X BAYC also includes a remix to the classic BAPE STA ™ with a clear, ice rubber outsole and ice rubber outsole showing Curtis. The 1,000 pairs of shoes produced for this limited collection are individually numbered with a second set of BAPE ® X BAYC camo laces in the box.
