Relax, unwind and enjoy the stunning South West coast line at your leisure.

We offer a range of charters from half day, full days and weekends and can tailor a package to suit your specific requirements.

Luxury charter packages for 1/2 days, full days & weekends 

The above prices increase 10% over bank-holidays and regattas for the following dates. Easter 29 th March – 1 th April, May-day weekend 4 th – 6 th May, Spring weekend 24 th – 27 th May, Dartmouth Regatta & August Bank Holiday 23 rd – 26 th August.

Price Includes

All published fees are totally inclusive for your guests and include the hire of motor-yacht Oyster, her skipper/crew, fuel, Torquay moorings fees, VAT, drinks & catering as described on each charter for up to 6 persons. Prices do not reduce if your party is less than 6 guests, but rest assured the charter you book is exclusively for you and your party, we never mix groups. For overnight charters bed linen and towels etc are supplied.

Items not covered within the charter fee are as follows: breakfast and evening meals onboard or ashore, plus other (non-Torquay) marina overnight fees, and car parking fees.

Morning Charter

10.00am – 1.00pm, total party cost: £425.00.

Departing Torquay will include a detailed cruise around Torbay to take in Paignton and Brixham, showing the sites of the D-Day embarkations and other historic coastlines and plus the many coves and bays.

Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be served throughout this trip and will stop at anchor for savoury snacks along with coffee, beer, wine, and soft drinks.

If required and weather permitting, we can anchor off a beach or in a cove to allow swimming off Oyster, towels are supplied. The cruise will terminate at Torquay at 1.00pm.

Afternoon Charter

2.00pm – 5.00pm, total party cost: £450.00.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served throughout this trip and will stop at anchor for afternoon tea with cakes and fruit or cream tea with scones, along with wine and soft drinks.

If required and weather permitting, we can anchor off a beach or in a cove to allow swimming off Oyster, towels are supplied. The cruise will terminate at Torquay at 5.00pm.

Evening Charter

6.00pm – 9.00pm (available june, july and august), prices on request.

Departing Torquay will include a cruise around Torbay to take in Paignton and Brixham, showing the sites of the D-Day embarkations and other historic coast lines plus the many local coves around Torbay.

We will stop at anchor in a local cove for drinks and nibbles, with wine, beer and soft drinks on offer, drinks and catering upgrades are available, please ask for a quotation.

The cruise will terminate at Torquay at 9.00pm.

Full day charter to Dartmouth & River Dart

10.00 am – 5.00 pm, total party cost £795.00.

Departing Torquay with a cruise across Torbay to round the cliffs off Berry Head on coastal passage to Dartmouth and the river Dart, passing many bays and coves on the route. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be served throughout this trip.

We will sail up the river to a point where we will moor or anchor for a buffet lunch along with beer, wine and soft drinks, lunch and drinks upgrades are available, please ask for a quotation.

After lunch we will take motor-yacht Oyster up the River Dart as far as Agatha Christie’s Greenway House now run by the National Trust, coming back down the river past the stunning architecture of the Royal Britannia Navel Collage where Prince Philip first met Queen Elizabeth when she was a young Princess.

On our return trip to Torquay, we will anchor off a beach or in a cove near Brixham for afternoon tea with cakes and fruit or cream tea with scones, plus soft drinks. For the brave among you and weather permitting guests may want go swimming off Oyster, towels are supplied. After hauling up the anchor and cruising across the bay, the cruise will terminate at Torquay at 5.00pm.

Two-day/one-night charter to River Dart and or the north coast above Torbay

10.00 am – 5.00 pm ( 31 hours ), including one overnight stop, total party cost £1,200.00.

Your weekend or mid-week 2-day/1-night cruising adventure

We suggest day one you take the same passage as detailed in our full day charter to Dartmouth and River Dart, all catering and drinks will be as described above in the full-day charter.

For overnight accommodation you will be moored in motor-yacht Oyster’s resident birth in Torquay Town Dock (marina) where you will have access to onshore loo’s and showers. When motor-yacht Oyster is moored and connected into mains electric, this is your accommodation for the rest of the day and evening, towels and fresh bed lining are all supplied. You will need to arrange your own evening meal and following breakfast on board or ashore, a list of recommended restaurants and phone numbers is available here .

After mooring yacht Oyster at the marina/dock and securing it to services, the crew will depart for the rest of the day/evening allowing you and your guests to have the privacy of your own vessel through to the agreed time the crew return the next morning (usually 10am) for your next day’s charter.

Instead of mooring in Torquay overnight that is included in your charter fee, you may wish to stay either in Kingswear Marina opposite Dartmouth or in Brixham MDL Marina. For this you will need to check availability in advance and there will be an additional charge, circa £40-£55 per night, for additional marina charges. Both these marinas have excellent onshore facilities and are close to many good bars and restaurants. The crew will also connect you to mains electric and secure Oyster for the night, before leaving you to enjoy your own privacy prior to returning the next morning.

If you overnighted in Torquay or Brixham Marina we would suggest that on day two we start at 10.00am and head north out of Torbay in the direction of Teignmouth and the Teign estuary and slowly return along the picturesque Labrador coast line of Lyme Bay that includes Babbacombe, Watcombe, Ansteys Cove, the Ore-stone and Thatcher’s Rock.

At mid-day we will anchor off a cove for a buffet lunch along with beer, wine and soft drinks.

On our return trip to Torquay, we will anchor off a beach or in a cove in Torbay for afternoon tea with cakes and fruit or cream tea with scones, plus soft drinks. For the brave among you and weather permitting guests may want go swimming off Oyster, towels are supplied. After hauling up the anchor and cruising to the harbour, the cruise will terminate in Torquay at 5.00pm.

Alternatively, if you are moored overnight in Kingswear opposite Dartmouth you may want to see more of the coastline south in Start-Bay, such as Slapton Sands where the practices for the D-Day Normandy landings happened. We are likely to anchor off Blackpool Sands for our buffet lunch and drinks.

On your final return trip to Torquay, we will anchor off a beach or in a cove or beach near Brixham for afternoon tea with cakes and fruit or cream tea with scones. For the brave among you and weather permitting guests may want go swimming off Oyster, towels are supplied. This 2 day cruise will terminate in Torquay at 5.00pm.

Two-day/two-night charter to River Dart and or the north coast above Torbay

Friday 6.00 am – sunday 5.00 pm (47 hours), including two overnight stops, total party cost £1,325.00.

Your weekend or mid-week 2-day/2-night cruising adventure

On Arrival for 2 day / Night Charter

On arrival into Torquay from 6.00pm onwards we will take you to motor-yacht Oyster, assist with stowing your luggage and direct you to car parking. We will explain all domestic operations of the vessel and give details of the port-side facilities (loo’s & showers) and gate codes. On that evening you will be responsible for your own dining ashore. Prior to your arrival we can advise and help you book a restaurant within easy walking distance of motor-yacht Oyster.

This 2-day/2-night option allows for customers coming from afar to spend the first night on Motor-yacht Oyster in Torquay Town Dock (Marina) allowing them to start their two-day charter at 10.00am the next morning without delays. This 2-day and 2-night charter is all the same as 2-day/1-night package after the first night in Torquay. Please see details as described previously in the 2-day/1-night package.

Morning breakfast will be your responsibility and can easily be booked at Below Decks Cafe directly by the Town Dock entrance. The crew will arrive usually at 10.00 am or time agreed by you the night before to commence your 2-day charter.

Arrive at 10.00am to a welcome glass of bubbles and depart from the dock to your agreed anchorage destination .  After anchoring you will have full use of all the water toys or simply relax on one of the the sun pads taking in the stunning coastal views.  After enjoying your chosen activities and a freshen up, lunch will be served on the flybridge.  We will then take a leisurely cruise back to Torquay marina aiming to return to the dock by 2.00pm.

Full day boat charter from £271 per person

A perfect boat charter from Torquay for venturing a little further and exploring some famous Devon ports.

Arrive at 10.00am to a welcome glass of bubbles and depart from the dock to your agreed anchorage or destination . Champers is a classically beautiful 60ft Tarquin Motor Yacht. She boasts a large flybridge and comes with pink and white fizz on tap on the top deck !!

Kamaz FTL hauler registers NatCar brand

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - National Carrier JSC, the full truckload freight trucking company headed by former Globaltruck CEO Ilya Sattarov that Russian truck maker Kamaz founded this summer, applied to register the brand NatCar at the end of August, the registry of federal intellectual property service Rospatent showed.

The NatCar brand is also mentioned in the recruitment ads of National Carrier, which is actively looking for E-class drivers. It is offering working with this year's model Kamaz diesel trucks from the flagship K5 line and new dry goods (curtainsider) and refrigerated trailers.

National Carrier was founded on July 7 in Moscow with charter capital of 1 billion rubles, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed. The company registered two branches in early August, in Yekaterinburg and Elektrostal, Moscow Region. The company specializes in truck logistics and associated activities, including digitization processes.

A spokesman for National Carrier told Interfax earlier that the company plans to provide FTL trucking services using its own fleet, "as well as the resources of hired truckers." The company's fleet will initially consist of 400 semi-trailer trucks with a 50/50 ratio of curtainside to refrigerated trailers, and it plans to primarily operate on domestic routes, he said.

The company has preliminary agreements with major customers among marketplaces and retailers in the FMCG and DIY segments, the spokesman said. Strong demand for trucking services is expected toward the end of the year, so there is interest from customers, he said.

Kamaz marketing director Ashot Arutyunyan announced at the International Moscow Automotive Forum at the end of August that the truck maker was the principal investor in National Carrier. He did not comment on the new company's shareholder structure, but said it is a Kamaz startup.
