Attended to day for lunch was able to get a table although will book next time. Deliciuos meal, husband had salmon & avocado tart he raved about it salad was fresh and crisp I had the Roasted Beetroot salad with add southern fried chicken pieces... it was a delicious meal BUT had it not read Roasted beetroot I would have not been so disappointed as the beetroot, for me , let the salad down. In saying that we will certainly be back as ticked a lot of boxes service and staff great, reasonable prices and position lovely, restaurant sitting directly on Lake Wendouree and sanitiser on tables etc up to speed with COVID .We will be back More

On a very busy Sunday our group of 8 family members ranging in age from 8 to 95 enjoyed a lovely lunch at Ballaarat Yacht Club. The service was outstanding; so effortlessly meeting our diverse needs, e.g. half serves (although not on the menu) for... older persons, and extra plates/spoons for sharing desserts. The drinks menu offers good choice, and the roasted vegetable salad and house-made apple crumble are fabulous. Although we did not see it on the menu, there was a surcharge on the day we were there. Presumably this is a Sunday add-on to cover extra costs. We did not particularly have a problem with this, but felt it wasn't made obvious, and caused some clunkiness on credit card payment at the register. More

The purple banner at the front of the Yacht Club alerted us to its existence as we were driving around Lake Wendouree. The venue was busy, staff were okay that we had stopped for just coffee and showed us to the couches where others were... doing the same. Many of the patrons were enjoying meals and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Service was prompt and efficient. More

We called in for a drink and thought it would be a great place to sit on the balcony waterfront. $33 for two pints of beer is extremely expensive. Service was slow and a hurry up from the manager ensured one of the staff attended... to me. I wont bother returning. More

We had lunch in this excellent setting with views across Lake Wendouree. The meals were very good from a sound range of menu choices. A good variety of wine is available by the glass. The coffee is very good.

All three of us enjoyed our meal. Reasonably priced (iced coffee over-priced IMO) Good friendly service. It was very busy, so a bit noisy. We visited this bright little restaurant on lake Wendouree before. Unfortunately, it was packed and couldn’t get a table. This time we were lucky. We were in Ballarat for the day and decided to try it for lunch. Beautiful warm day, sitting outside on the... deck, overlooking the lake and the best fish n’chips we had for long time! What more can you wish for! Very relaxing and most enjoyable. Great espresso coffee to top it up. Thanks guys, we’ll be back. More

Really enjoyed a lunch out at the yacht club. Had a delicious meal and although it was winter it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the lake view. Service was quick and friendly staff; looking forward to returning soon.

Recently celebrated my 60th birthday in the common room at the Yacht club. Lovely bright restaurant with wonderful location on the lake. Delicious food with good service. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend it for a function😀

A lovely spot for coffee and food. We did a walk around the lake and thought what a relaxing spot for a coffee and breakfast. Staff were very welcoming. Food and coffee was ok, nothing too fancy. But the view was lovely.

Our entre was served before our main dish. The natural oysters were served WARM on wilted lettuce! The explanation was that they were left under the warming lights ...... who does this and still serves the dish? We hoped for a lovely family dinner, in... fact we were embarrassed! Never to return! We heard great things so thought we would try breaky. Coffee was 10/10 but the food was very disappointing. Toast cold and not cooked the corn fritters tasted like they were made 2 hours ago and the bacon was not cooked and resembled ham. Crispy... bacon at breakfast is a basic task and it was so far from cooked it was not funny. Great service, lovely hot coffee. On a nice sunny day, sit out on the deck and watch the swans go by. It's spring time so lots of lovely little baby swans riding on their mums back. So cute.

Very disappointed today. Food OK, but... This afternoon (Sunday) the restaurant was booked for some function at 3.00pm. We were NOT warned of this when making our booking. Arrived at 1.00pm. Only told about it once at the table, saying that the front doors would... close to new arrivals at 2.00pm and preps would start at 2.30pm. The staff started to move furniture from 2.00pm. We weren't served until 2:15. In the end it just felt like we were in the way, as tables kept on being moved away around us. Seniors at the next table were told they couldn't have coffee after their meal, we didn't even bother to ask, let alone for dessert. You should never treat your customers with such contempt. It was insulting. Either do not offer lunch at that time, or start functions until later. WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! More

Attended to day for lunch was able to get a table although will book next time. Deliciuos meal, husband had salmon & avocado tart he raved about it salad was fresh and crisp I had the Roasted Beetroot salad with add southern fried chicken pieces... it was a delicious meal BUT had it not read Roasted beetroot I would have not been so disappointed as the beetroot, for me , let the salad down. In saying that we will certainly be back as ticked a lot of boxes service and staff great, reasonable prices and position lovely, restaurant sitting directly on Lake Wendouree and sanitiser on tables etc up to speed with COVID .We will be back More

On a very busy Sunday our group of 8 family members ranging in age from 8 to 95 enjoyed a lovely lunch at Ballaarat Yacht Club. The service was outstanding; so effortlessly meeting our diverse needs, e.g. half serves (although not on the menu) for... older persons, and extra plates/spoons for sharing desserts. The drinks menu offers good choice, and the roasted vegetable salad and house-made apple crumble are fabulous. Although we did not see it on the menu, there was a surcharge on the day we were there. Presumably this is a Sunday add-on to cover extra costs. We did not particularly have a problem with this, but felt it wasn't made obvious, and caused some clunkiness on credit card payment at the register. More

The purple banner at the front of the Yacht Club alerted us to its existence as we were driving around Lake Wendouree. The venue was busy, staff were okay that we had stopped for just coffee and showed us to the couches where others were... doing the same. Many of the patrons were enjoying meals and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Service was prompt and efficient. More

We called in for a drink and thought it would be a great place to sit on the balcony waterfront. $33 for two pints of beer is extremely expensive. Service was slow and a hurry up from the manager ensured one of the staff attended... to me. I wont bother returning. More

We had lunch in this excellent setting with views across Lake Wendouree. The meals were very good from a sound range of menu choices. A good variety of wine is available by the glass. The coffee is very good.

All three of us enjoyed our meal. Reasonably priced (iced coffee over-priced IMO) Good friendly service. It was very busy, so a bit noisy. I bought my in-laws a gift voucher at the end, one of the best restaurant meals I’ve had in Ballarat. I’d... recommend here for anything from a business lunch to a date night. More

We visited this bright little restaurant on lake Wendouree before. Unfortunately, it was packed and couldn’t get a table. This time we were lucky. We were in Ballarat for the day and decided to try it for lunch. Beautiful warm day, sitting outside on the... deck, overlooking the lake and the best fish n’chips we had for long time! What more can you wish for! Very relaxing and most enjoyable. Great espresso coffee to top it up. Thanks guys, we’ll be back. More

Really enjoyed a lunch out at the yacht club. Had a delicious meal and although it was winter it was warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the lake view. Service was quick and friendly staff; looking forward to returning soon.

Recently celebrated my 60th birthday in the common room at the Yacht club. Lovely bright restaurant with wonderful location on the lake. Delicious food with good service. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend it for a function😀

A lovely spot for coffee and food. We did a walk around the lake and thought what a relaxing spot for a coffee and breakfast. Staff were very welcoming. Food and coffee was ok, nothing too fancy. But the view was lovely.

Our entre was served before our main dish. The natural oysters were served WARM on wilted lettuce! The explanation was that they were left under the warming lights ...... who does this and still serves the dish? We hoped for a lovely family dinner, in... fact we were embarrassed! Never to return! We heard great things so thought we would try breaky. Coffee was 10/10 but the food was very disappointing. Toast cold and not cooked the corn fritters tasted like they were made 2 hours ago and the bacon was not cooked and resembled ham. Crispy... bacon at breakfast is a basic task and it was so far from cooked it was not funny. Great service, lovely hot coffee. On a nice sunny day, sit out on the deck and watch the swans go by. It's spring time so lots of lovely little baby swans riding on their mums back. So cute.

Very disappointed today. Food OK, but... This afternoon (Sunday) the restaurant was booked for some function at 3.00pm. We were NOT warned of this when making our booking. Arrived at 1.00pm. Only told about it once at the table, saying that the front doors would... close to new arrivals at 2.00pm and preps would start at 2.30pm. The staff started to move furniture from 2.00pm. We weren't served until 2:15. In the end it just felt like we were in the way, as tables kept on being moved away around us. Seniors at the next table were told they couldn't have coffee after their meal, we didn't even bother to ask, let alone for dessert. You should never treat your customers with such contempt. It was insulting. Either do not offer lunch at that time, or start functions until later. WE ARE PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! More
