View all yachts for charter

An eye-catching black hull and silver superstructure offers a hint at this superyacht's striking interior. Rich notes of red, black and ochre work in harmony with the luxury yacht's native Australian and Canadian artwork to create spectacular living and entertainment areas. Linking these decks, a hand-carved trio of totem poles stand guard over the glistening black fossil marble stairwell.

Guests can enjoy the full cinema experience at the touch of a button in the sky lounge as black-out blinds fall and a screen unfurls from its hiding place in an elegant chaise longue. An air conditioned gym is available for the restless, with both exercise machines and a selection of free weights. Also on the bridge deck, a circular al fresco dining area is shielded by sliding glass doors, allowing guests to absorb the views on all sides while remaining sheltered from the breeze.

SLIPSTREAM's vast sun deck was designed with every comfort in mind; giant sun pads sit both forward and aft, a glass windbreak fits around the jacuzzi, and an open-air shower and glass-topped bar complete the experience.

With sumptuous accommodation for 12 guests in seven cabins, spread across three decks, guests are spoilt for choice. The rich red and black master suite includes an office, his and her bathrooms, walk-in wardrobe, and a beautiful raised observation lounge that allows direct access to the foredeck. The VIP cabin on the bridge deck has some of the best views on board, with natural light spilling from a sliding glass door leading onto the private balcony. Four stylish double cabins are located on the lower deck, two of which can be converted into twin cabins upon request. The gym also converts to a seventh cabin with two pullman berths and en suite bathroom, if required.

By Rebecca Bradbury | 11th May 2016

Next up in YachtCharterFleet’s series of reviews following the Antigua Charter Yacht Show is the 60m/197ft motor yacht SLIPSTREAM.

With a silver superstructure and jet black hull, which hint at the commanding interior within, SLIPSTREAM never fails to leave a lasting impression.

Launched in 2009, SLIPSTREAM followed the first of a new line from Cherbourg-based CMN Yachts: the 58m/190ft motor yacht ‘Netanya 8’ . SLIPSTREAM, however, evolved alongside her sistership, the 60m/197ft motor yacht C9 , with an extra two metres in length, a fixed swim platform and improved access to the engine room to found the CMN 65 Line.

A linchpin in all three builds was the London-based Andrew Winch Design, responsible for the interior and exterior styling. Yet, in a testament to the wide-ranging skills and creativity of the design studio, all three yachts embody a unique and completely distinct identity.

Those well-acquainted with SLIPSTREAM often recommend stepping abroad through her starboard side door where a trio of colourful totem poles set against a black fossil marble stairwell rise up from the central atrium to provide an unforgettable first impression.

SLIPSTREAM photo 1

Hand carved by the British Colombian artist Stanley Clifford Hunt, the sculptures symbolise the owner’s spirits in animal form and point to his passion for native art. As well as a number of Pacific Northwest offerings, paintings of Aboriginal artworks also feature heavily throughout the yacht, referencing the owner’s birthplace of Canada and adopted home of Australia.

Aft of this entrance hall is the main salon where rich earthy tones in a large aboriginal painting are reflected in the high gloss ebony dining table it looks over and the dark wenge mullions, which wrap their way across the ceiling. Leather dining chairs and bulkheads in pillar box red contrast with the plain white carpet, perfectly adding to the drama.

Opposite the dining table and further aft is a collection of comfortable sofas and plump armchairs, which face a circular glass coffee table. Dividing the open plan space is a central sideboard with a roll-down blind, and sliding bulkheads on either side can divide the lounge and dining areas into two separate rooms.

SLIPSTREAM photo 4

Also on the main deck is the spacious master suite, which sweeps across the full breath of the yacht encompassing an office, sleeping quarters, two bathrooms, a walk-in closet and a private observation lounge with access to the foredeck.

The minimalist study is first to greet guests entering this apartment-like setup. A custom made desk of high gloss ebony with a cream leather insert has been afforded a sea view, and the room leads through to the assertively-styled master cabin.

Woven leather bulkheads in a warm red hue act as a headboard and, reflected in the opposite wall, are joined by curved black pillars on either side. Above the bed, made up in black linen, is an eye-catching, bright red, circular light fixture with high-gloss wood at its centre and a mirror border.

The powerful colour scheme of black and red is further highlighted by the wool cut pile carpet in a soft taupe shade. Curved sections of the black bulkheads open at the touch of a button to reveal a walk-in wardrobe and the main bathroom, and a short passage way leads forward past the second bathroom to a raised observation lounge. Decorated in a fresher, monochrome palette, the semi-circular retreat offers incredible ocean vistas and a more serene setting in which to relax.

SLIPSTREAM photo 7

Four guest cabins, meanwhile, are located on the lower deck. The two cabins forward can be arranged as either singles or doubles whereas the two cabins aft are fixed doubles and have the added bonus of a bathtub. Each stateroom differs slightly in its colour scheme, but all share the same central panelling of rippled walnut.

A surprise VIP suite is found on the port side of the bridge deck. The stateroom is not much different in size to the guest cabins below, but benefits from full-length French windows, which open onto a private balcony where the lucky occupants can enjoy a private breakfast together.

On the bridge deck aft, meanwhile, is the skylounge. Although the same size as the main salon below, the upper lounge is much more relaxed, with cream wall panels and carpets, soft furnishings in cream and charcoal, and weathered limed wenge beams.

SLIPSTREAM photo 9

Electronically controlled, a four-metre cinema screen unrolls upwards from a chaise lounge to meet the ceiling while a projector drops down from above and black out blinds unfurl to cover the windows. Sumptuous sofas and armchairs complete the ‘movie night’ arrangement.

Further aft is a signature Andrew Winch design feature. A circular dining table of limed wenge is surrounded by curved floor-to-ceiling windows, which slide open to create a semi-alfresco setup and allow access to a comfortable lounging area on the deck.

One of the highlights of the yacht, however, is the sundeck. Extremely functional and well-equipped, it is where charter guests spend most of their day when on board. Forward is a Jacuzzi, protected from the elements by glass windscreens and surrounded by an expanse of sun pads.

SLIPSTREAM photo 12

Under the shade of the hardtop and its fabric canopy, which allows sunlight to softly filter through, is a rectangular dining table, and a more casual seating area runs across of the width of the sundeck aft. Sliding glass doors across the centre of the deck stop the area becoming a wind tunnel and are joined by a glass-topped bar, open air shower and discreet day head.

Other assets of the yacht include Quantum Zero Speed Stabilizers for comfortable cruising, easy access into the waters from the fixed bathing platform and a gymnasium on the bridge deck, which can also act as a further stateroom.

Bold, masculine and hard to forget, SLIPSTREAM is guaranteed to wow with her striking looks but, with superbly executed, versatile spaces inside and out, she also promises an extremely comfortable and relaxed yacht charter in the upmost luxury.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

Built in 2009 by CMN Yachts and measuring an impressive 196’10 (60m), Slipstream’s classic exterior and interior design was executed by prestigious UK-based Winch Design, inspired by Canadian, Native American, African and Far Eastern cultures to provide a liveable, relaxed yet entirely unique ambience.

Her elegant main salon sports a classic monochrome palette throughout, with oversized sofa seating, ottomans, stunning artwork - which is hung throughout the yacht - and ubiquitous full size windows allowing natural light to flood in.

A circular winter dining room adjacent to the salon (which can be separated by drapes) has completely retractable floor to ceiling windows to give you the ultimate indoor-outdoor dining experience at the huge round art deco style table.

Slipstream 1200x800 4

One of Slipstream’s many highlights is the glass and black marble staircase connecting the decks, with a trio of colourful hand-carved African totem sculptures adorning it. Another is the enormous sky lounge, which converts into a cinema room at the touch of a button as blackout blinds descend and a cleverly concealed screen materialises from the chaise longue! She is also equipped with karaoke, a smoke machine and a bubble machine, adding an extra layer of fun to your night-time socialising and entertaining on board.

A further salon decorated in chocolate brown leather, cream and red creates a cosy nook for intimate relaxing, leading to a semi-partitioned formal dining room for gastro dinner parties and lingering suppers. There’s also a large office space with huge windows for inspiration while home working.

Sleeping 12 guests across seven staterooms - including one master, one VIP, two doubles and two twins - the owner’s suite is unlike anything you might have seen before.

Slipstream 1200x800 10

Lavishly decorated with honeymooning couples in mind, it boasts an eye-catching oriental style design palette; a striking scarlet circular ceiling design and sophisticated black and red textured wall panelling set off stunning art deco furnishing touches like the collectable table lamps and the combination of rich luxe materials creates an ethereal, other-worldly feel.

The master ensuite is, like every other aspect of Slipstream, oversized for maximum space and comfort, with a chic black marble trimmed bath and vanity unit. Remaining staterooms also have individual Eastern style touches to make them stand out from the usual spec; panelled headboards which continue along the ceiling and strikingly bold colour schemes grounded by white and cream.

The VIP suite also boasts exceptional views through the large windows and sliding glass door which leads to a private balcony. An interior gym keeps the most active members of the party working out in style and can be converted to a seventh cabin with two pullman berths and an ensuite.

Slipstream 1200x800 8

Outdoors, numerous dining and lounging options abound, under the radar arch or on the spectacular sun deck which simply brims with facilities. These include a large jacuzzi, outdoor shower, a beautifully appointed bar, BBQ and an enormous sun pad zone for relaxing under the rays. Glass windbreaks permit unobstructed views.

Water-based fun is always at the top of any charter agenda and Slipstream delivers in droves, offering a sailboat for keen explorers, two Bombardier WaveRunners, towable toys, water skis, scuba diving equipment, wakeboards, kayaks and a 22’ Nautica tender to take you to shore.

Slipstream has an aluminium superstructure and a steel hull. She boasts an advanced stabilization system to reduce the roll motion effect and enjoys a maximum speed of 15.5 knots, with an average cruising speed of 14.5 knots, making her the optimum combination of high performance and luxury.

CMN Slipstream Burgess

What are the key attributes that make a charter yacht successful? Is it flexibility? Accommodating crew who become an extension of the family? A gargantuan collection of mind-blowing water toys? “All of the above,” says Captain Phil Stevens, one of two rotational captains on board 197-foot Slipstream .

Built at French shipyard CMN in 2009, Slipstream has been a prolific charter yacht over the course of its nine years. There are few places its eye-catching black hull and silver superstructure won’t travel. From the British Virgin Islands to the Baltic, even South America, the yacht cruises where the charters dictate, says Captain Phil. His favored destinations are Croatia and Turkey, along with the Ionian part of Greece. “I would start off in Athens and finish in Venice, passing through the Ionian Islands, Montenegro, and Croatia along the way. It’s so easy, you can always find somewhere to hide. You can lose yourself there,” he enthuses. His passion is contagious, exemplified by his 17.5 years spent in the employ of Slipstream ’s Australian owner, not to mention his multiple clients who have clocked up 10 to 15 repeat charters.

Design Inspiration

Interior and exterior styled by Winch Design , Slipstream possesses many of the hallmarks of Winch’s renowned penmanship, from the carpet motifs that mimic the ceiling panels in most guest areas to the signature skylounge. Furnished in muted cream tones with large black leather armchairs, it doubles up as an indoor cinema; the screen majestically rising from a chaise longue with large panoramic windows blacked out for full effect. From movie nights to Xbox gaming to reviewing the crew’s drone footage of the day’s adventures, guests are treated to far more than a room abounding with comfy sofas and plush furnishings.

Artwork throughout the yacht (curated by Winch) reflects the owner’s international background, with a mix of Aboriginal and North American pieces. Three commissioned totem poles with gods, eagles, bears, and fish soar 15 feet up through the stairwell to the deck above. Carved by Canadian artist Stanley Clifford Hunt from three single pieces of solid cedar, they set the central tone of the yacht, figuratively and literally.

Family Time

At the forefront of Slipstream ’s offering is its positioning as a prized family charter vessel. The yacht’s impressive chest of water toys includes Sea-Doos, standup paddleboards, kayaks, and the highly popular 49-foot-tall waterslide that descends from the sundeck. Along with inflatable platforms, it forms the centerpiece to the enthusiastic crew’s assault course, which they often set up for the more active charter guests. And as a ratified training school, guests can also obtain their jet-ski license during their stay. Whether spending all day tearing across the water at 80 mph, learning to sail the Laser dinghy with Ben (deckhand), or taking wakeboard instruction from Liam (chief officer), it’s not surprising that most guests spend a high proportion of their time in and around the water.

Both Captain Phil and his rotational colleague Captain Steve Osborne are fathers, which means small yet important details, such as mesh screens and safety gates on the top of the stairwells, come as standard. When teamed with a crew of 18 who tend to develop a charismatic rapport with children of all ages, it’s easy to see how family charter guests keep coming back for more.

Relaxation at the Core

Whether advanced or a beginner, taking yoga or Zumba classes on the aft main deck with Tiffany (chief stewardess) or an insanity fitness session with Nick (second officer) is the perfect post-breakfast workout, not least because chef Richard “Tricky” Harrison is somewhat unrivaled in the galley. His protein balls made from dates, lime, coconut, fig, cashew, and pistachios are matched only by the array of freshly baked bread (including gluten-free) and vast menu of homemade smoothies and juices on offer. Family buffets on the bridge deck aft are a popular event, as are themed party nights on the large sundeck, which can be fitted with a glittering disco ball. And Tricky’s cooking lessons often result in  kids’ fairy cake competitions.

Ample opportunities for both indoor and alfresco meals abound, from formal dining in the main saloon, eating in the round on the skylounge’s double lazy Susan table, to the generous sundeck. Plans for a fully retractable sunroof will be realized this winter, along with rain-activated sensors, mood lighting, and side window screens. “It means that sunny meal times and outdoor starlit cinema screenings can continue whatever the weather,” says Captain Phil.

Perhaps the most breathtaking dining option of all, however, takes place on the 6.5-foot swim platform, equipped with a misting system for when it’s exceptionally hot. “It’s a great base, and certainly isn’t restricted to just water sports,” says Captain Phil. “We hang lanterns and fairy lights for extra ambience, and dinner is served for up to six people on the water’s edge.” Once the entire hull has been polished this winter, Slipstream will look pretty fabulous from afar as well.

Room with a View

With sumptuous accommodation for 12 guests in seven cabins spread across three decks, guests are spoilt for choice. This includes two Pullmans unconventionally located in the gym—a popular choice with children—as well as room enough for a nanny when required. The VIP cabin with its private balcony separated from crew-accessible areas by a frosted glass screen provides some of the best views on board, while the master suite, with its high ceilings, private study, and frosted-glass en-suite leads directly to the observation lounge. “This area leads out to the foredeck and is the owner’s wife’s favorite room,” says Captain Phil.

The master suite is also a preferred location to take a massage, either undertaken by Slipstream ’s trained masseuse Tammy or by a shore-based professional. When it comes to capturing the most spectacular horizons, the jury is out on where best to position yourself. According to Captain Phil, it’s on the bridge at 5 am to watch the sunrise. For late starters, however, the sunken sundeck Jacuzzi at 6 pm with a cocktail in hand is pretty hard to beat.

Slipstream is available to charter with Burgess .

SUPERYACHT LIFE

Captain Steve Osborne

Steve Osborne

A chance visit to a friend led landlubber Steve Osborne into a life in yachting – something that he is still passionate about some 20 years later as Captain of the 60 metre yacht Slipstream .

It was after studying Economics at university in Scotland that I had my first taste of yachts. I went down to the South of France to visit a friend who was working for a company doing audio-visual and IT for yachts, and I just inadvertently got started doing day-work on a superyacht – it was completely unrelated to what I had been studying or what I had done previously. I found I just enjoyed the lifestyle, and the South of France was a nice place to be – I’d never been anywhere like it before. Before long I was offered a deckhand position on a yacht that went over to the Caribbean for the winter season. That was me – I was sold on it.

I grew up in southern Africa, in Zambia till the age of 10 and then Botswana until I went to Glasgow in Scotland to study for my degree. I didn’t have a background in sailing, or in fact any boating experience at all before going to France. A lot of people who come into yachting do have background boating experience, but I’m a prime example that you don’t need any of that – the yacht industry and yachting is a passion you can pick up along the way.

Steve Osborne

Almost 20 years after that first taste day-working on yachts, and I am now captain of a 60 metre CMN-built motor yacht called Slipstream . I started on this yacht in 2012 as the chief officer under Captain Phil Stevens when I was in the latter stages of completing my own captain’s qualifications. Once I got my Master’s ticket I went into rotation with Phil. It’s a busy life on Slipstream as we are an extremely popular charter yacht, particularly with families who have children, so the rotation allows me to keep a balance between work and family.

I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years in the industry, with perhaps the biggest being regulatory changes – I spend a lot more of my time doing paperwork these days! But there’s also a lot of delegation I can do and I think I’m quite a good team manager. I’ve got a lot of very good people around me, which makes my job a lot easier.

Steve Osborne

I think crew is the other area I’ve seen evolve over time, and there are a lot more people coming in who have no relevant experience but who want to crew because they’ve heard stories or seen certain TV shows. Indeed, even my 11-year-old daughter recently said to me that she had been watching a well-known reality TV show, and she started asking me about the tips that the crew get after charters! There are a lot of people coming into the superyacht industry with a perception that it’s all just about money, and it can be harder to find the hard-work ethic (because working on a yacht is hard work in reality!) and harder to find people who can live together and all get on in the melting pot of crew quarters. It’s something I think we’ve managed to do pretty well on Slipstream over the past few years.

I think that crew longevity is something that really appeals to charter guests, as repeat guests see the same faces when they come back the following year. They instantly feel comfortable and everything just sort of picks up from when they were on board before. Our record currently is 17 repeat visits!

Steve Osborne

I have had some very inspirational captains along the way who have instilled in me some very good ways of operating – I’ve learnt a lot of good things and I’ve put them into practice. We’re a very close-knit group on Slipstream , very established, and although people do come and go everyone gets along, which is great. There is rank and hierarchy on board but everyone respects each other so it doesn’t have to be enforced. It’s a very happy time, and we hope it’s reflected with the feedback we’ve had from recent charters, which has been very good.

For me personally, I’m so glad I took that trip to France all those years ago. I’ve been fortunate to travel to some amazing places which otherwise I’d have had to pay a fortune to go to myself! We’ve just come back from cruising in Norway which was probably one of my career highlights, being able to go down all the fjords and just the remoteness of it all – you feel very vulnerable. The chance to be able to do that and appreciate all that really highlights one of the fundamental aspects of yachting – that it’s not just about earning the money, it’s the satisfaction of being able to travel to these places, and it’s the satisfaction of creating the ultimate experience for guests, for families and for their children. I enjoy seeing the results of that and seeing people go away really, really happy and saying it was their best holiday ever.

Top stories 2022: Lunch on board the 60m M/Y Slipstream

Richard ‘tricky’ harrison reveals how he went from gastro pub kitchen porter to head chef on one of the busiest charter yachts in the world….

Image for article Top stories 2022: Lunch on board the 60m M/Y Slipstream

Believe it or not, it's not very often that I get invited to have lunch on a 60m superyacht. I admit, walking down the dock, I was very excited, and despite my attempt to remain impartial and pretend like it was just another day in the office, I knew deep down how ridiculous it all was. For perspective, my previous experience on superyachts had been as a day worker, cleaning the engine rooms with a toothbrush and draining the bilges with rags. Therefore, when reading this food review, bear in mind that I’m not quite of the same ilk as the typical charter guest who pays over 285,000 pounds a week to enjoy this yacht's services. However, what I can offer is an honest perspective, a solid understanding of why this charter yacht is so successful, and a candid food review from someone that's never had champagne-poached oysters before.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

Firstly, I should point out that the interior of this yacht is quite unique and refreshing. The owner of Slipstream , a Canadian hailing from British Columbia, is a big fan of tribal design and aboriginal artwork. Thankfully though, it hasn’t been overdone. Crimson and maroon red are the primary colours in the main salon, and there are a few standout pieces of artwork, such as the one-off totem pole by Stanley Clifford Hunt that runs up the staircase.

Up on the bridge deck, where lunch is served, the interior is slightly more relaxed and features light earthy tones. The dining table is in between the interior and exterior, and we had an uninterrupted view of Canary Wharfs South Dock, but I could see how a Caribbean sunset or an Icelandic glacier might top that.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

After guzzling a few flutes of champagne and finishing up small talk with the other journalists, we headed up to have lunch. First up, was the champagne-poached oyster, complemented with a dash of pickled radish and a dollop of hollandaise sauce. I was slightly apprehensive. I wasn’t sure if the dead mollusc would agree with the Co-op cheese and onion breakfast roll already in my stomach. But the peer pressure was too much, a few around the table had already gracefully necked the slimeball and were already nodding at each other in agreement. In the corner of my eye I saw the Chief stewardess standing in the foreground watching us, she could tell I didn’t know what I was doing, so I grabbed the golden teaspoon, shovelled it out of it's shell and knocked it back in one fell swoop.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

The first flavour was the hollandaise sauce, familiar, reliable, and easy on the tongue. Then I started to chew (which apparently you are not supposed to do), and then all of sudden I could taste the sea. It was tasty and smooth though, it didn’t have the aggressively salty and harsh, crunchy yet soft, texture that I expected. Then the pickled radish hit, and that was the flavour that remained after all had been swallowed. And just like that, the first meal was over, with just one bite. Definitely not the kind of dish I’m used to eating.

Later I learned that it wasn’t the kind of meal the chef was used to making either. Richard Harrison, or ‘Tricky’ as he prefers to be called, came up with the recipe on his own, ‘There’s always a bit of champagne left over on the yacht so I thought I’d poach them in that for a bit.’ Tricky, like all the best chefs, learned his trade through climbing up the ranks in modest, proper kitchens.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

His craft and philosophy has not been tainted by some culinary school that churns out Hilton and Fairmont Head Chefs who see food as little more than cost per unit. He experiments with every meal, uses locally sourced ingredients, and adapts to the culinary traditions of his environment. Having spent nine summers on one of Burgess’s busiest charter yachts, it’s fair to assume he has picked up a few tricks of the trade that not many other Chefs in the world can relate to.

The next meal was a ham hock and leek terrine, with a ricotta-stuffed fig, chestnut mushroom salad, and pickled cauliflower puree. The ham hock was bought from the local market and had been poached in a strong stock for several hours, picked apart, and then put back together in a terrine mould with the other ingredients. The idea for the stuffed figs came from a restaurant Tricky had visited in Italy a few summers ago, and the cauliflower puree was a play on piccalilli - a British interpretation of a South Asian recipe. For this meal, I have little more to say except that it was utterly delicious, and that I should have savoured it more instead of scoffing the lot. I couldn’t stop myself from using the bread to mop up the rest of the sauce when no one was looking - although I’m pretty sure the Chief Stew caught me.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

Ham hock is a dish Tricky is more familiar with, it is a staple on the menu of gastro pubs where he first learned to cook. As a teenager, he would see how different chefs would put the meal together while he washed the dishes and chopped the vegetables. He was just 16 when he decided to become a full-time chef, and by the time he was twenty years old, he was already the Commis Chef at the Mandarin Oriental - a restaurant with two Michelin stars to its name. He left the Mandarin four years later, as a Sous Chef, and went on to begin the next chapter of his career in yachting.

The final main meal, was a pan-fried John Dory and lobster ravioli, with samphire and fennel cream, garnished with a sprinkle of caviar - of course. Tricky picked up the John Dory and Lobster from the famous Billingsgate market, which is just a two-minute walk from the yacht.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

“We had to get it from Billingsgate, it’s been one of the best fish markets in the world for the last four hundred years, and that fish you ate was probably gutted by someone at 1 or 2 o’clock in the morning” Tricky explained, “It's a bit of an old school meal, something I would’ve seen at the Mandarin twenty years ago, but sometimes it's better to keep things classic and simple.” For this meal, I’m glad I did manage to savour every bite, I was the last one to finish.

Dessert was a roasted white chocolate parfait, raspberry and nougatine with chocolate sorbet and feuilletine meringues. I didn’t know what half of the stuff was on the plate while I was eating it. I recognised a couple raspberries and the sorbet, but everything else was new, and that made the dish quite exciting. Every bite was a texture and flavour I’d never experienced before, and it made the process of eating it quite fun. The meal finished with a few more glasses of wine, a few good stories around the table, and a brief visit from Tricky, who was very well-received by the table.

slipstream georgetown yacht owner

After the meal, it was made clear to me why Slipstream is one of the most chartered 60m superyachts in the world. It is not necessarily just because of the jacuzzi, and toys and lavish cabins. It's largely because of the crew on board. The two Captains have a combined experience of over twenty years on board Slipstream, Tricky has been on board for nine years, and the harmony between the rest of the crew is almost infectious. On their last charter, in Norway, the guests helped the Chief Officer hatch a plan to propose to one of the Stewardesses in front of a waterfall. She said yes, and was very proud to show us her ring and share her side of the story.

Considering the price to charter per week, and the fact that we spent three hours on board, the experience should have cost six thousand euros, which is one thousand euros for each journalist. It is a lot, I know, but it is a treat that is so unique, and so worthwhile, that it makes you realise why someone who can afford it, would want to experience such a luxury with their family and friends. A great yacht, with a happy crew, and even happier guests.
