The seafood was delicious. I had rock shrimp which were tender and juicy and my husband had large fried scallops. The scallops ... were lightly breaded and fried perfectly. I had awesome sweet potato fries which came with cinnamon butter for dipping and myhusband had a baked potato. All meals include an all you can eat salad bar. We will definitely go back! Read more

Lived in Volusia since 2001. First time today at the Yacht Club will be our last! This place is a Kitchen Nightmare episode ... needing to happen. Or give it the TLC it deserves: Torch it, Level it and Cart it away. The place is literally falling apart.The AC was nonexistent. The server was driftwood. The food looked mediocre and tasted bland. The salad bar was pathetic. Thesoda tasted like the cup had soap residue in it that mixed into my drink. First had Coke, then Sprite. Both tasted of thechemical tinge. The place is a dive for locals to eat, drink and cruise each other with little standards to meet. There?s nowonder nothing else has sprouted up around this place. It?s the Bates Motel restaurant and bar of Ormond. Forget aboutit! Regarding the response: For those who choose to give you their business I?d say they aren?t expecting much. Not Implyingthese patrons don?t have standards. You?re simply offering the bare minimum. Regarding the second response: Attempting todefend said patrons by publishing these passive aggressive, heed my warning responses simply shows misery loves company. Withcountless restaurants and bars available the vast majority of paying customers would agree defending said group of regulars thathave developed an acceptance of your dilapidated establishment and lackluster offerings is not justifiable. A fantastic neighborhood restaurant!!! The food is fresh and fantastic! The ambiance is fabulous! No one is a stranger ( for ... long) there You never know who you will meet or see again from billionaires to plain folk, or just enjoy your delicious dinneralone. This place Is beyond 5 stars! I don't own a yacht but tonight's meal made me feel like the captain after stopping in for dinner before traveling back to the campground in Astor. I managed my expectations as we entered through the bar entrance and made our way to the hostess station at the opposite end of the building hoping it would be more than the typical bar food. We were seated with no wait on a Friday night at 6:30 PM I attributed this to the semi-remote location off Hwy 40. Our server Jennifer met us at the table just moments after being seated to take our drink order and drop off a couple a few menus. We ordered a Yueling on draft and a house margarita, I was told the margarita was fine so she ordered another, but my draft seemed a little stale so I settled for water but that didn't really take away from the experience. The service here was outstanding and the volumes of food are ridiculously large the Shrimp Lover's plate was so much food two people could easily share. If I had to choose tonight's signature dish as good as the broiled shrimp were the cornbread stuffing was amazing I'm serous when I say order a side of this and a slice of the raspberry cheese cake and you should be good. The prices here are very reasonable, all things considered probably one of the best values for miles. I'd definitely return if in the area but probably settle for a lesser platter since I rarely take a box of uneaten food home with me...

Best fried shrimp and rock shrimp in town. Setup like a dive bar but don't let that turn you off. Amazing service and food. Draft beers are 3.25 during happy hour and they also have early bird specials

Good food at a good price!  We had the grilled rock shrimp and prime rib (early bird).  Happy hour has $2 beers and $4 wine. Not a fancy place but servers are polite.

We tried this tonight after living in the area for awhile. The place was really crowded and we thought that it must be good. Not a classy place by any means but that is not a huge priority for us. We waited one hour for our food to come. My prime rib was probably 3/8 " thick. I ordered it med. rare but when neat is that thin it really becomes a moot point. Only about half of it was edible ( fat etc.) the rest was enjoyed by the dogs. It tasted like meat that had been warmed up in a microwave. My husband got breaded shrimp and said it was ok. The waitresses were nice. The place could use some " sprucing up." Probably won't be back.

Awesome old fashion Supper Club! We had a table of 7 and 5 of us had Shrimp Lover's Platter and 1 Rock Shrimp and 1 Captain's Platter. Everyone loved their meals! This place has the best Teriyaki grilled wings for an appetizer! You have to try them! The price is right for freshly made seafood. One of our favorite places in Ormond Beach! Family owned forever!

If your looking for the ambiance of a yacht club,don't go here. It's cute and quaint and the service was great. Brooklyn and the young man that assists her are very nice and do a great job taking orders and serving. The Margarita-was great along with the Cabernet. The food was tasty and done to perfection. I had the prime rib that was way more fatty than usual. Friends shared a platter of  fried gater tail and the Captains platter! When brought to the attention of the waitress she saw the hunks of fat and she said it would be discounted,after speaking with the owners, Which was more than I expected. As we were waiting for our desert a pleasant woman stopped by an we asked about a desert called chocolate lasagna. It was her idea, and as it turns out, she was an owner. She also explained to us what a rock shrimp was. To sum it up the food is very good, served hot, and the cost was unbelievably reasonable for what they were putting out. Try this hidden gem.

Wow I was craving butterfly fried shrimp like I remember as a kid and I got it tonight!!  The Cook knew just how to make them. I wolfed down all 9 perfect lightly breaded shrimp . Not too fried and not too breaded and you could tell the oil was fresh!  The cocktail sauce was excellent. Yum Crinkle fries were great (not the coated crap you get everywhere else) and the coleslaw was homemade. The wait staff (actually bartenders) the two women were running their tails off in the bar/dining section it was so busy even at 8pm but my food was in front of me pretty darn quickly for as busy both dining rooms were on a hoppin Friday night. I hope they keep this local oldie alive as it's always funny. A Yacht club not on the river STILL cracks me up. Not sure completely why the reviews suck here but I know the restaurant has gone through some updates decor looks nice inside. it's come a long way so Can't wait to see how they fix up the rest of the place !!

Wife and I visited for dinner on Sunday night and sat at the bar.  The  service was sooo slow.  We ordered dinner:  prime rib, broiled shrimp , baked potato and vegetables.  Had to wait an hour for our food.  When I asked where our meal was she replied rudely, "they're working on it".  The prime rib and shrimp came out first and were good. Then some terrible steam vegetable medley that tasted like they microwaved a bag of veggies left in the freezer too long. Five more minutes passed and our baked potato shoes up.  A little butter no sour cream.  This is the second time we received lousy service at the Little Tomoka Yacht Club.  It's no wonder the place was empty.  Not a fan. Do not recommend.

The best rock shrimp you will ever have, hands down. Bigger and better tasting than the place down in brevard county. Their regular shrimp dinners are also fantastic (when rock shrimp aren't in season). It's worth the drive from anywhere in east central Florida!

Tonight my husband surprised me with "to go" from Little Tomoka Yacht Club.  We ordered Prime Rib and Rock Shrimp .   The prime rib was well seasoned and prepared perfectly.  The rock shrimp was quite large and delicious.   We were very pleased and will definitely be trying other dishes at this local restaurant again soon.

Went there with a party of 12 on 7/27/19 around 7:30. 3 people in our party ordered Captain Morgan and coke, it was terrible, not sure if they charge top shelf pricing and put rot gut liquor in it's place. We then ordered our dinners, Rock shrimp was the reason we went there to begin with. The salad bar was terrible barely any choices everything was empty. Our dinners started coming out (1 couple had to wait 10 minutes) after everyone else received theirs. The butter for the rock shrimp was barley melted margarine that was hardening. They said it was DRAWN BUTTER. My husband stated that the was absolutely the worst meal he has had in his entire life.

This place is easily missed.  From the outside, you're not quite sure if its open or closed. Once inside, you'll find a basic, local, family restaurant feel.  The tables and chairs are basic, nothing fancy here. Clearly, this is a place the locals know about.  The bar is always packed out and the dining room is usually busy, but not stuffed to capacity.  The restaurant offers early bird specials which are mostly smaller portions of their main menu items. On our visit, I had the main menu prime rib and my wife had a special offering of rock shrimp .  All the dinners come with a side and a salad bar. The prime rib was delicious and the portion was large.  My wife couldn't finish her rock shrimp .  Big portions. The salad bar is basic.  No, you won't find 12 varieties of lettuce or add in vegetables that you can't identify.  But, you will find lots of fresh ingredients and salad fixins'. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but open otherwise. Like the rest of the operation, the service is local and friendly.  The server we had was very attentive and engaging.   If you want good food at really attractive pricing, this is the right place.  Being new to Ormond Beach, we'll be making this a regular stop in our dining out times.

I'm still belching the salad bar. The fried haddock was like frozen fish sticks and $14.99. We told the waitress we wanted peanut butter pie and two forks and all we got was she handed us the bill. So no pie no Forks. We left her a tip but she would have got a better one if the service was better. There were only three customers so it wasn't like she was super busy.

Good food, large portions, friendly wait staff. I ordered the prime rib medium rare and fish. Came out quickly and hot, the prime rib was medium rare and melt in your mouth. The fish was delicious.

Very good food! We got the prime rib with fried shrimp, baked potatoes, salad, & sweet tea, & it was delicious! Go there every year on Valentine's day for dinner. The only thing I miss, is, they use to give us free dessert and a white chocolate rose for free. This year, we didn't get anything like that.

Nice "blue collar" location to go and enjoy a beer and good meal with friends and/or family. The seafood was tasty and I enjoyed the salad bar. The restaurant has two seating areas. One is perfect if you want more of the pub/bar feel, and the other section features more of a traditional dining area.

“rock shrimp” Review of Tomoka Yacht Club

I've been here twice now rock shrimp each time very good , very nice size shrimp. Small selection on salad bar but as a side it's ok. Onion rings awesome. prices great. I would suggest this to all

Plus the beer was cold Minus So was the food. Could not even get heat and serve food to a decent temperature using microwave or what ever. Heat And Serve. Not really cooked. Salad bar was lousy, other than pepperchinis Prime Rib Dinners were cold when served and the meat looked terrible. Could not cut it with a knife. Fried Shrimp dinner, Cold on the outside barely above room temperature on the inside. How is that? Precooked ribs, did fall off the bone, served room temperature. Wife had diarrhea after we got home till the next morning

Great stop for rock shrimp. The preparation is wonderful and eliminates the difficulty removing the shrimp from the shell.

We stopped here our first night of Daytona Bike Week for dinner. I am not sure how this place has 4 stars. We were seated pretty quickly but the wait staff was a bit slow. That was not the problem. The salad bar was slim. There was very little lettuce to even make a salad from, the peas on the salad bar were FROZEN in an ice chunk. I ordered slow cooked prime rib. Oh my, there was no way this was a slow cooked prime rib. I order it medium rare how I usually order it. The piece of meat served to me was just plain RAW. I sent it back twice and still could not eat it and it was just more browned on the outside but it changed nothing, still raw. If it had been slow cooked it would not have been like that. My husband has a fish sampler meal. The scallops I feel were not cooked completely. They had a real funny texture and not good. I would not eat here again and as I said in the beginning, how does this place have 4 stars!

We were told that the seafood here was as good as any in New England. Not was clearly not he case. The fried entre's were sub-par, the atmosphere, bland and the salad bar underwhelming. Service was fine, but food not worth the visit.
