Monaco Yacht Show

Created in 1991 by French entrepreneur Maurice Cohen, the MYS displays around one hundred unique and exceptional superyachts constructed by the world’s foremost shipbuilders. Along the docks where these prestigious vessels are moored, visitors will find a host of companies, shipbrokers, and other important yachting industry stakeholders.

The MYS, the Place to Sea

The Monaco Yacht Show is globally renowned for the exceptional quality and impressive size of its superyachts. Of the hundred or so on display every year, around forty are being unveiled for the first time in their worldwide debut. The average length of the vessels is 50 metres, with some mega yachts exceeding 100 metres. In recent years, the MYS has expanded its offering to include the ultra-high end markets intrinsically linked to the exclusive world of superyachting, featuring luxury goods, cars and motorcycles, helicopters, and private jet constructors.

The Show is now an iconic event, popular with private visitors who come to discover the incredible collection of superyachts available to purchase or charter, and to meet market experts in the festive and glamorous atmosphere of the Principality of Monaco.  

Not to be missed...

At nightfall, the superyachts come alive in a different atmosphere, offering a spectacular illuminated display of a thousand lights.

With around USD 4.3 billion worth of yachts on display, and featuring some of the world’s most iconic superyacht brands, the  Monaco Yacht Show  attracts yacht enthusiasts from around the world, coming together to network, explore the finest yachts, and celebrate the end of summer in style.

3 ADVENTURE AREA

Introduced in 2022, the Adventure Area is a must-see for watersports lovers at the Monaco Yacht Show. From tenders to off-road vehicles, nautical gadgets and thrilling activities to enjoy on board a yacht – this all-new exhibition combines the former Car Deck with Tenders and Toys for all the equipment, gadgets and tech, all in one place.

With the latest cutting-edge technologies, you can drive an all-terrain vehicle to the North Pole, go on an underwater excursion or even take a tender ride off the coast of secluded islands and discover exotic animal species. At the Monaco Yacht Show, the options are practically limitless.

The Adventure Area is exactly what you need to take your yachting experiences to the next level.

4 DESIGN AND INNOVATION HUB

Introduced at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show, the Design and Innovation Hub is home to all the latest concepts, designs and solutions in superyachting. Over the four-day event, you’ll have the chance to sit-in on live presentations from expert yacht designers, as well as explore a selection of superyacht concept models that will shape the future of the industry.

The space will also feature the historical Designer Gallery, where a panel of design experts and naval architects are available to help you design your own future yacht.

A trip to  Monaco  is a luxury experience in itself, with world-class restaurants, picturesque harbours and lavish casinos, to name just a few attractions. Whether travelling by helicopter, car, or  private jet , you’ll want to ensure you make the most of your stay when dropping in for the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show. Eat at the finest restaurants, admire the real estate, and indulge in the many luxuries that this exclusive principality has to offer.

VISIT THE MONTE CARLO CASINO

One of the most famous casinos in the world, the  Casino de Monte Carlo  is a must-visit for visitors of the Monaco Yacht Show. Built in the flamboyant Beaux Arts style in 1893, this casino features grand designs, intricate architecture and various gaming rooms of different themes.

It’s also said to be the inspiration behind the James Bond novel, Casino Royale, so fans must be sure to suit up, order their martinis and indulge in a night of exciting entertainment.

EXPLORE JARDIN EXOTIQUE

In Fontvieille, just outside the city centre, lies the hidden gem that is  Jardin Exotique . With lush surroundings, breathtaking vistas and bright, exotic foliage, this garden is a tropical paradise, featuring over 7,000 species of plants. It’s the perfect place to unwind and escape the bustling streets after an exciting day at the Monaco Yacht Show.

BROWSE MONACO'S HIGH-END STORES

Synonymous with opulence, you can rest assured a visit to Monaco’s highstreets and shopping centres will be adorned with all the haute couture and luxury upscale brands you could possibly need.

From jewellery to perfume, designer bags and fine clothing – if you’re in need of some retail therapy, the Avenue de Monte-Carlo, Boulevard des Moulins and Avenue Princess Grace are the places to be.

TOUR THE PALAIS DU PRINCE

Dating back to the 13th century, the Palais du Prince sits high above Monaco and is just a short distance from the cathedral in which Prince Rainier III and American actress Grace Kelly were married. When the Prince is not in residence, you can tour the palace, take in the views of the yacht-dotted harbour, and even watch the changing of the guards.

Blending  Caribbean  and  Mediterranean  flavours, chef Marcel Ravin earnt his two Michelin stars with bold and original dishes, served in a warm and lively atmosphere thanks to their open kitchens.

5.  YOSHI – HOTEL METROPOLE

A gastronomic delight for lovers of Japanese cuisine, this restaurant pairs the finest sakés, whiskies and Japanese green teas with teppanyaki-style dishes and traditional oriental food with a creative twist.

6.  LA TABLE D’ANTONIO SALVATORE – THE RAMPOLDI

Having earned its first Michelin star in 2021, this restaurant offers unique dishes with distinct Southern Italian and French influences, for a truly original dining experience.

The Monaco Yacht Show is the world’s leading yacht show. Held on the Mediterranean seaside in Port Hercule, Monaco , it is the largest in-water display of large yachts. An estimated 30,000 people come to see the more than €4.3 billion worth of yachts displayed in the port.

It is known as THE chicest way for billionaires to celebrate the end of summer. The biggest, newest, most innovative and most expensive yachts will be on display in this new edition of the Monaco Yacht Show.

The many superyachts are the center of attraction, but there will also be so much more on offer for the show’s opulent observers. As the quintessential playground for the rich, Monaco Yacht Show continues to impress its billionaire patrons, ensuring their return year after year.

There will always be super speedboats, helicopters, personal submarines, limousines, and luxury cars to see. Hotels, restaurants, and the Casino will also cater to the epicurean needs of the guests.

The ‘Car Deck’ for the exhibits of classic and customized vehicles will display models of the best machinery for connoisseurs’ delight. The ‘Starboard’ is the main exhibition lounge of companies that offer products and services related to the superyacht lifestyle: destinations, luxury products, and arts. Both will be on Quai Antoine 1er.

Monaco Yacht Show Awards

VIP guests and yachting social elites will be invited to attend the Monaco Yacht Show Superyacht Awards , along with the show’s partners, yachting business top-players, and select media. The awards will be held at the Monaco Yacht Club and attendance is exclusively by personal invitation. The awards section of the evening lasts about 20 minutes, and the rest of the evening is a lively cocktail party with a DJ, food and open bar.

The event is exclusively reserved for yacht owners and charterers (and want to enhance their knowledge), prospective end-user clients and their representatives, and private wealth managers.

Badges for the Monaco Yacht Show

In order to make the overall experience clearer to visitors and professionals, a three-category system is used. Discover badges are for yacht clients; Advise badges are for their advisors and consultants, and Connect badges are for trade visitors. The badges will show the profile of each visitor so that the right people can connect on sight. Buyers can therefore identify designers and builders at a glance, whilst their captains and reps can readily find equipment manufacturers, for example.

But for those with regular day passes to the show, you’ll need an appointment and be able to pass a check by the yacht representative to make sure you’re a serious potential buyer or charter customer.

Sapphire VIP Experience

If you’re in the market to buy a yacht and looking for more personalized experiences, ‘ Sapphire Experience ’ VIP tickets include exclusive activities at both the show and in Monaco for superyacht owners, charterers, and potential clients. VIP guests also have access to special courtesy cars provided by the Monaco Yacht Show to drive them around the city during their stay.

Getting your hands on these tickets comes with a premium price tag and you’ll need to get approved — about 80% of applicants for the Sapphire Experience are rejected. The VIP experience is limited to 200 people and only serious yacht-buyers are able to purchase these coveted passes.

Yacht Tours and Parties

Even those who’ve bought tickets won’t be allowed to tour many of the most exclusive yachts, nor attend the evening yacht parties, without being invited by the yacht companies and brokers. If you’re in the market for a yacht, make sure to view the exhibitor list and arrange tours of your favorite yachts in advance.

The Monaco Yacht Summit is held on the day before the Yacht Show officially starts, at the Monaco Yacht Club .

Location: Exhibitors will be set up along Port Hercule in the Condamine. Here is the official map of the event.

There are three public entrances: Quai Antoine Ier, Parvis Piscine (Boulevard Albert Ier), and Quai Louis II. There are two VIP entrances (dedicated to Sapphire VIP’s and Discover badges): Quai Albert Ier and Quai des Etats-Unis.

The awards event and summit will be held at the Monaco Yacht Club in Port Hercule.

Bahamas Charter Yacht Show

This trade-only show began last year and is back for an even better 2024 yacht show. Bahamas Charter Yacht Show will run from 25-28 January 2024 . Industry professionals including crews get together for networking, learning more about the Bahamas as a destination, and competitions (including Best Cocktail).

Attendees are invited to explore the finest charter yachts – and meet their crews – throughout the show.

Antigua Charter Yacht Show

The 62nd Antigua Charter Yacht Show will take place from 4-9 December 2024 . Specific details are still being finalised. We know what to expect from this showcase of luxury and superyachts: awe-inspiring displays, the biggest names in the industry, and a delight of parties, tours, chef and crew competitions.

If you need a breather from the action-packed week, there’s plenty to explore outside of the show. The island of Antigua has the nickname ‘Land of 365 Beaches’ – how many can you get around in one week?

What Are the Best Boat Shows in Europe this Year?

As the temperatures across the Mediterranean heat up, so do yachting waters. May’s non-seafaring headline events include the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix. Superyachts are often crewed by March, ready for the prestigious Palma Boat Show in April.

Palma International Boat Show

Widely accepted as the event marking the start of the Mediterranean season, Palma Boat Show is one of the most anticipated events of the year (25-28 April) . And undoubtedly one of the top 2024 yacht shows in Europe! A level of exclusivity provides guests with a guaranteed professional experience.

In 2024, Palma Show marks its 40th anniversary with additional activities. A think tank and experiential event, International Balearic Superyacht Forum , will bring together experts and enthusiasts to create a ‘robust and smart industry road map for the future’.

Mediterranean Yacht Show

The eighth edition of ‘MEDYS’, one of the top 2024 yacht shows, returns to Greece, 27 April-1 May . It’s pitched specifically at super yachts and vessels measuring 24 metres and above, adding an air of luxury.

Nafplion is a clever location for this show. Known as one of the most romantic towns in Greece, the harbour size is limited, meaning the yacht show’s waitlist soon adds up.

The 2023 edition of MEDYS welcomed over 750 attendees from 31 countries. We can’t wait to see what the Greek Yachting Association has in store for 2024.

Cannes Yachting Festival

At the other end of the Mediterranean Season is the Cannes Yachting Festival, 10-15 September 2024 . Cannes is Europe’s largest ‘in-water’ boat show, reporting record numbers of 55,000 visitors last year.
