Inspected by us..

KATARIINA I is a 37 meters long motor yacht (m/y), with Sunseeker being responsible for her beautiful design. Sunseeker has evolved from being a brand to a global icon, producing some of the world’s most luxurious motor yachts.

Every Sunseeker, including KATARIINA I yacht charter, is a result of an uncompromising and unmatched approach to design, craftsmanship and performance. This yacht was designed in 2010, and provides comfort for up to 12 people, with 7 experienced and friendly crew members.

The width of the yacht is 8 meters, making her very spacious, while the cruising speed of 15 knots makes her ideal for island-hopping. KATARIINA I yacht charter is equipped with two engines with 2800 horsepower (stronger than 9 Lamborghini Huracans), which consume 550L per hour, making her an economic vessel for chartering in Croatia.

The three-deck configuration gives you and your guests more than enough space for socializing and privacy. On the main deck, you can enjoy the indoor air-conditioned living room on comfortable sofas. Large windows allow for a lot of natural light in the living room, but it is always possible to lower the blinds if you want more privacy or just a little less light.

The dining table can accommodate up to 12 guests for every meal. Furthermore, the main deck aft has a charming dining area from where you can watch the astounding panorama of Croatian islands while drinking your favourite champagne.

The upper deck features a smaller lounge area for relaxing, along with a TV. The outdoor terrace is equipped with a dining table for up to 8 guests. You can enjoy the sun deck in the jacuzzi, or relax on large sun pads right next to the hot tub. If you need refreshment, the hostess can prepare any drink, complemented with delicious snacks.

KATARIINA I yacht charter epitomizes what the Sunseeker brand is all about – it provides guests with a platform to not only pursue the sunshine but also lifelong memories.

She can accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 spacious cabins – a master suite, a king-size VIP stateroom, three double queen-size staterooms and a twin cabin (with pullman berth). The master suite is spacious and has a neat walk-in closet, and if you want to watch TV, it is possible to get it out of the closet with an automated click of a button. Richly decorated with black marble, the ensuite will also catch your eye, featuring two sinks, a bathtub, a shower cabin, a toilet and a bidet.

This yacht also has a hydraulic swimming platform from where you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing or playing with water toys. There are two amazing Yamaha wave runners , two pairs of water skis, a wakeboard and much more.

You might decide to have your breakfast on the spacious sun deck or on the main deck aft. Your private chef will amaze you with homemade Croatian pancakes or American waffles with a chocolate dip, strawberries and squeezed juice from local fruits.

The knowledgeable crew will provide the best snorkeling gear, so you can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear Croatian sea while exploring the seabed.

Your kids can play on amazing inflatables while the crew organises a jumping competition from the yacht` swimming platform. KATARIINA I yacht charter is made for having fun while cruising next to magnificent Croatian islands.

A morning full of excitement will make you hungry again, but do not worry, your private chef has already prepared an amazing meal. If you do not want to eat outside, lunch can be served in an air-conditioned dining area. You might enjoy skewered beef with baked potatoes from organic family farms or a lobster salad with mango and cucumber.

While the sun is at its zenith, you can enjoy a movie in the main salon or on the upper deck lounging area. Furthermore, you can take a nap in one of the spacious cabins. After a short break, you will be ready to play board games on the upper deck or sunbathe on the amazing bow-placed sun pads.

If you want something more adventurous, hop on a Wave Runner jet ski and enjoy a spectacular ride. You will be amazed by the safety and speed of this exciting water toy. It is comfortable enough to sit up to three people, so you will be able to experience amazing things with your loved ones by your side.

When it is time for dinner, you can unwind on the sundeck which has proven to be a favourite gathering place for drinks before dinner. Have your favourite aperitif while your chef brings spectacular food made by following your preferences list. After a delicious dinner, jump in the spacious jacuzzi and enjoy the night surrounded by twinkling stars.

YACHT CHARTER DINING

Every meal on the spectacular KATARIINA I yacht charter will amaze the whole charter party. Your experienced private chef will prepare delicious breakfasts, lunches, dinners and additional snacks.

Breakfast will consist of fruit salads from local farms, homemade yoghurts, cereals and different kinds of toasts with Croatian jams or a variety of omelettes, scrambled, sunny side up, boiled, a la Benedict… Your lovely hostess will bring you squeezed orange juices or warm cups of coffee or tea.

For lunch, you can always try something new, like Croatian lamb with local vegetables or Asian tuna tartare on a celery remoulade salad. If you want, your chef can also prepare a BBQ with a surf and turf menu or surprise you with his amazing skills in fusion-style cooking, as well as Mediterranean or Asian food.

You can not go wrong with dishes like sweet and sour duck breast with curried vegetables or fantastic caviar and salmon with fennel jam over hand beaked toast.

In addition to food, you will be delighted with the wide selection of premium Croatian white, rose or red wines aboard KATARIINA I yacht charter. You can also have dinner in one of the Michelin-star restaurants, located along the Croatian coast . Just ask your crew to organize a table in a restaurant of your choice and leave the rest in the hands of your capable crew.

YACHT MAIN DECK

The lovely dining table on the main deck aft will be full of snacks and refreshing juices right after you arrive onboard KATARIINA I yacht charter. It is surrounded by a nice white sofa and four comfortable chairs.

This dining area is an ideal place for having your first meal of the day or chit-chatting while your superyacht charter cruises towards the next exotic location. One of the improvements that Sunseeker made on KATARIINA I yacht charter was creating furniture with a low profile, enabling guests to have a better view of the sea at all times.

Yacht charter accommodation: main salon & dining area

The first thing you will see after going inside the main deck is a generous bar with 3 stool chairs on the port side, which easily services the entire area. The huge mirrors on both sides give a feeling of a much bigger space. Next to the bar are 2 spacious white sofas, 4 comfortable armchairs and a coffee table. This air-conditioned area is ideal for relaxing with your favourite Netflix series while your kids play with water toys.

The open-plan main salon and the lovely dining area have a full panoramic view, thanks to the large windows on both sides, so you can enjoy the landscape every minute of your luxurious vacation. There is also a well-equipped galley and a day head on the main deck.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The Master stateroom

On the starboard side, a charming foyer leads to the full-beam master stateroom. A small sitting area with two sofas and a coffee table, ideal for drinking your morning coffee or reading a book next to huge windows, is located on the port side of the suite. Furthermore, the custom vanity table paired with a chair, where you can do your work, is on the port side.

The centre of this suite is reserved for a comfortable king-size bed where you will surely sleep tight every night thanks to the excellent soundproofing on KATARIINA I yacht charter. Forward, you have your flush-mounted TV where you can watch your favourite Turkish, Mexican or British series.

Next to the bed is a spacious walk-in closet and an ensuite. As you step inside, you will be amazed by beautiful black stonework complemented with wooden materials. There is also a large bathtub, a shower, two sinks, a bidet and a toilet.

YACHT UPPER DECK

The upper deck is also known as the VIP deck since it has everything you will ever need for an unforgettable party time. On the upper deck aft is a large U-shaped sofa with two coffee tables and two additional tabourets where you can unwind while cruising or while enjoying a delicious breakfast. To maintain a high level of service, this space also features a full wet bar including a sink and a refrigerator.

Stepping forward through the sliding glass door, you will enter the lounging area containing several lovely sofas, a coffee table and a built-in TV. This area can also be the cinema room where you can watch Oscar-winning movies or your favourite Netflix documentary.

This deck is also the captain’s domain. It is from here that the captain steers and manoeuvres KATARIINA I yacht charter. While the skipper is cruising, you can sit behind him in the wheelhouse and watch as he masterfully guides your superyacht charter over the azure Adriatic Sea.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The VIP stateroom

The upper deck also contains a VIP stateroom; some might even consider it to be a second master stateroom. It is a bit smaller than the original master suite, but it can become your favourite place to sleep in, just because of the spectacular view. It also has a great king-size berth, a large TV, a spacious walk-in closet and an ensuite which features sinks and a steam shower. While your friends are enjoying the main or lower deck you can have your private upper deck just for you and your favourite person.

YACHT SUNDECK

KATARIINA I yacht charter has a brilliant sundeck, highlighted by a custom centerline jacuzzi, that will entertain both adults and kids. The spacious jacuzzi is surrounded by comfortable sun pads that will definitely be your favourite space onboard to relax.

Your hostess can provide amazing eco-lotions and natural sun cremes, so you can relax in the sun, knowing that your skin is protected. In addition, you can ask your crew to put up a bimini top, so you could lay down and relax in complete shade.

Tucked under her hardtop is a full bar complete with icemaker and refrigerator, which complements four bar stools, ideal for enjoying a civilised party while kids are sleeping in the lower deck or watching movies on the main deck.

There are also two huge sitting and dining areas where you can enjoy your amazing meals, perfectly made by your private chef. Moreover, on the front main deck, you have two additional sofas and large sun pads where you can also sunbathe.

YACHT LOWER DECK

Going down the stairs from the main deck you will arrive in a large lobby that separates four spacious, air-conditioned cabins. The layout of the lower deck is amazing. All guests will have complete privacy and comfort, while also experiencing a peaceful slumber every nighit.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: Three Double Cabins

There are three amazing double cabins with great queen-size berths, en-suite bathrooms and stereo entertainment systems. Next to the berths, a vanity table is perfect for putting on make-up or replying to emails, while a great walk-in closet provides lots of storage space. In addition, all lower deck cabins have amazing windows that provide fresh, unpolluted Croatian air and natural light to all the lower living quarters.

Yacht Charter Accommodation: The Twin Cabin

The lower deck has also a twin cabin with a pullman berth on top of two single beds, separated by a large nightstand. Because of the soft carpet, and a lot of space between the beds, this cabin is perfect for playing with your kids. Furthermore, a TV provides excellent opportunities to watch cartoons with your youngest. This cabin also has a lovely en-suite bathroom, perfect for both adults and kids.

YACHT BEACH CLUB & SWIMMING PLATFORM

To access the swimming platform, you have to use the stairs, located on both port and starboard sides. A magnificent feature of this space is that the entire platform is actually hydraulic and the entire area is transformed when you open up your garage.

Opening the stern garage door creates a wide swimming platform, where you get to enjoy all the benefits of being this close to the healing Croatian Adriatic sea. Ask your crew to serve snacks and cocktails near the water`s edge, which really creates a tropical atmosphere. Enjoy the mellow vibe of the beach club and swimming platform of KATARIINA I yacht charter by listening to music on the speakers located in the garage.

There is also an option of calling for a professional massage therapist, so you could experience the benefits of a hot stone massage, followed by a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear Croatian Adriatic sea.

YACHT WATER TOYS & WATER SPORTS

The amazing beach club on KATARIINA I yacht charter is the place from where your aquatic adventure will begin; it is from here that you will have access to all your water toys.

KATARIINA I yacht charter has a wonderful selection of water toys and is ideal for a big party or a family vacation. Water skis, kayaks, wave runners, wakeboards, donuts, canoes and snorkelling equipment are ready for you to try out. Furthermore, there is a tender boat perfect for exploring hidden bays or going to a private party on a secluded island.

On this yacht, my favourite water toy is the fantastic Wave Runner , which really is perfect for having fun with friends or discovering mysterious caves. It is a very safe toy, and you will be surprised by how easy it is to drive and play with.

Delight in knowing that you are totally safe when having fun with water toys, because there is always going to be someone from your diligent yacht crew, keeping an eye out for your safety and the safety of your charter party

Sun, sand and beach. Croatia is one of Europe trendiest destinations for travellers to visit. And since GoT, the travel industry in Croatia continues to boom. TBH, this comes as no surprise to us! Croatia has the longest coastline and is the perfect spot for an incredible sailing trip. So, if you’re thinking of taking a sailing trip in Croatia and want to make a more conscious travel choice, might we suggested female-owned, local business Katarina Line ? Here, we caught up with Katica, the owner of Katarina Line to hear how she grew her sailing business in Croatia…

View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Katarina Line ⚓ (@katarina.line) on Nov 7, 2018 at 7:32am PST

Where it all started

“Back in 1992, I started Katarina Line. It was the worst possible time to start a business during the Croatian War of Independence. After working in the travel industry as a travel agent, I used my connections in the industry to grow my business.

After Katica took the leap of faith, the business is now a huge success. Today, Katarina Line operates on land and sea in Croatia, hosting over 165,000 travellers every year with departures that run from April to October across the country. “If you like to travel and love people, tourism is a great fit for you. Once you start it’s a drug and you meet a ton of people.”

5 things to expect when you sail Croatia with Contiki

Working closely with family.

Everyday Katica works closely with her daughter, Anamaria and son, Daniel. “We’re a local family-owned company. It can be difficult at times, but good for us,” says Katica. “I enjoy working with young people for their ideas. They usually provide two solutions when confronted with a problem and then they find the answer on their own, which is probably the one we would have chosen anyway!”

Supporting local businesses.

Working with local families adds to the overall experience of our travellers’ trips. “We started with wooden fishing or sand removal ships, which were converted into excursion ships. 35 years ago, we added cabins to the ships, then bathrooms. Now, more than half of our ships are made of steel. The government helped to fund and improve the experience with air conditioning,” – perfect for the long, sun-drenched days sailing on the Adriatic Sea.

Partnering with Contiki

“My son, Daniel who manages our marketing got in touch at the World Travel Market with The Travel Corporation (TTC) ” says Katica. What started as just an accommodation supplier on land has grown across the TTC Family to Katarina Line being the main supplier for Croatia sailing trips with Contiki .

What to expect while sailing in Croatia

“If you start in Dubrovnik, expect all the amazing history. Walk the walls and you’ll get goosebumps from taking in the atmosphere. There are over 1,288 islands to see in Croatia. You can easily spend time exploring or visit the National Parks.” With Contiki you’ll spend days exploring the historic side of Croatia in Hvar, Dubrovnik and Split, while enjoying the sun and sea, sailing along the Dalmatian Coast.

Why the U.S. put a $1 million bounty on a Russian yacht’s alleged manager

On Sept. 3, 2020, the staff of a $90 million yacht placed an order with a U.S. company for a set of luxury bathrobes that came to $2,624.35.

For roughly two years before that, according to federal prosecutors, the yacht’s management had been falsely claiming it was working for a boat named “Fanta.” But the luxury bathrobes came embroidered with a monogram that, prosecutors said, revealed the yacht’s true identity: “Tango.”

That was a problem, officials say in court papers, because Tango was owned by a Russian billionaire under U.S. sanctions, and doing business on his behalf violated federal law.

Late last month, U.S. authorities unveiled a $1 million reward for information leading to the arrest and or conviction of the man they say was running the yacht staff and orchestrated the deception with the robes — Vladislav Osipov, 52, a Swiss-based businessman from Russia. In a new indictment , federal prosecutors say Osipov misled U.S. banks and companies into doing business with the Tango yacht despite the sanctions on the Russian owner, whom the Justice Department has identified as billionaire Viktor Vekselberg .

Osipov has denied the allegations. Osipov’s attorney has said that the government has failed to demonstrate that Vekselberg owned the yacht, and that its management was therefore not a sanctions violation.

The reward offer for Osipov reflects the latest stage in the evolution of the West’s broader financial war against Russia two years into the war in Ukraine, as the United States and its allies increasingly target intermediaries accused of enabling Russian oligarchs to circumvent sanctions.

Many Russians close to President Vladimir Putin have been under sanctions dating to 2014, when Russia seized Crimea from Ukraine and sent proxy forces into that country’s eastern Donbas region. When Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, President Biden vowed to deal a “crushing blow” with a barrage of new sanctions on financial institutions, industries, business executives and others tied to the Kremlin. But roughly two years later, Russia’s economy has proved surprisingly resilient after the nation poured tens of billions of dollars into ramping up its military industry. Moscow has also worked around the sanctions, finding new third parties to supply it with critical military and industrial hardware, as well as countries beyond Europe to buy its oil.

Now, the West is trying to increase the reach of its sanctions by digging deeper into Russian supply chains. Late last month, the Treasury Department announced more than 500 new sanctions targeting Russia , primarily on military and industrial suppliers. The Justice Department also announced charges against two U.S.-based “facilitators” of a Russian state banker who is under sanction, as well as the guilty plea of a dual national based in Atlanta who was accused of laundering $150 million through bank accounts and shell companies on behalf of Russian clients.

Prioritizing criminal charges against — and the arrests of — Western employees of Russia’s elites represents a new escalation of the U.S. financial war against Putin, experts say. One Moscow businessman, speaking on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution, said many influential Russians are concerned about the arrest of two associates of Andrey Kostin, the head of VTB, Russia’s second-biggest state bank. These associates, Vadim Wolfson and Gannon Bond, were charged with helping Kostin evade sanctions by maintaining a $12 million property in Aspen, Colo., for Kostin’s benefit while concealing his ownership. Kostin has said that the charges of sanctions evasion against him are “unfounded” and that he has not violated any laws . Bond has pleaded not guilty; Wolfson hasn’t made an initial court appearance yet.

Wolfson, also known as Vadim Belyaev, had been a Russian billionaire until the Russian government took over his bank in 2017. Bond, 49, is a U.S. citizen from Edgewater, N.J. For all Russians living abroad and working with people in Russia, the threat of criminal charges is a much more worrying prospect than the sanctions imposed by the Treasury Department last month against hundreds of individuals and entities, the businessman said, in part because sanctions are far easier to dodge than criminal charges.

“What you have seen through today’s public announcements are our efforts at really targeting the facilitators who possess the requisite skill set, access, connections that allow the Russian war machine [and] the Russian elites to continually have access to Western services and Western goods,” David Lim, co-director of the Justice Department’s KleptoCapture task force, which is tasked with enforcing U.S. sanctions over Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, told reporters last month.

Thad McBride, an international trade partner at the law firm Bass Berry & Sims, said the crackdown on intermediaries reflected the natural evolution of the U.S. sanctions campaign in response to Russian adjustments.

“It seems to me they have gone through a comprehensive list of the oligarchs, and you can debate whether or not it’s had a meaningful impact on the Russian war effort,” McBride said. “Because they’re getting smarter about who’s who, they’re finding other people who play meaningful roles in these transactions, even though they’re not showing up in the headlines.”

The charges against Osipov related to his alleged management of the Tango yacht illustrate the mounting potential consequences for people in Europe and the United States who attempt to do business with Russians targeted by Western allies, as well as the opaque structures allegedly employed by those seeking to evade sanctions.

With a net worth estimated by Forbes in 2021 at $9 billion, Vekselberg, 66, has long drawn scrutiny from the West — and sought to safeguard his wealth. He made his initial fortune in aluminum and oil in Russia’s privatization of the 1990s and then expanded into industrial and financial assets in Europe, the United States and Africa, with Putin’s blessing. In addition to the yacht, federal prosecutors say, Vekselberg acquired $75 million worth of properties, including apartments on New York’s Park Avenue and an estate in the Long Island town of Southampton.

Vekselberg, who declined to comment for this article, has not been criminally charged by the Justice Department. In a 2019 interview with the Financial Times, he denounced the sanctions as arbitrary and harmful for international business, saying he had been targeted just because he was Russian and rich and knows Putin.

In April 2018, the Treasury Department under the Trump administration sanctioned Vekselberg and six other Russian oligarchs as part of broader financial penalties over the Kremlin’s invasion of Crimea, support for President Bashar al-Assad in Syria and interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Vekselberg was also targeted for his work for the Kremlin as chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation, an attempt to create Russia’s version of the Silicon Valley — evidence that appeared to undermine the Russian businessman’s claims that he operated independently of the Kremlin.

But with Vekselberg’s payments monitored by U.S. banks, according to the federal indictment , Osipov used shell companies and intermediaries to avert the bite of sanctions. Vekselberg kept other major assets out of the reach of U.S. authorities by making use of the Treasury Department’s 50 percent ownership rule, which stipulates that it is illegal to transact with firms only if an owner under sanction controls more than 50 percent of the business.

For example, a month after Treasury imposed sanctions on Vekselberg in April 2018, his Renova Innovation Technologies sold its 48.5 percent stake in Swiss engineering giant Sulzer to Tiwel Holding AG, a group that is nevertheless still “beneficially owned” — meaning, owned in practice — by Vekselberg through Columbus Trust, a Cayman Islands trust, according to Sulzer’s corporate filing. Vekselberg’s longtime right-hand man at Renova, Alexei Moskov, replaced one of Vekselberg’s direct representatives on the board. Moskov told The Washington Post that he stepped down from all his executive positions at Renova Group in 2018 after U.S. sanctions were first imposed and from that moment ceased to be Vekselberg’s employee.

The attempts to circumvent the sanctions appear to have found some success in the U.S. legal system. Columbus Nova, a U.S.-based asset management fund controlling more than $100 million in assets in the U.S. financial and tech industry, is run by Vekselberg’s cousin, Andrew Intrater. The firm battled for more than two years to lift a freeze on Columbus Nova’s assets, imposed by Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control because of the sanctions on Vekselberg, and won, reaching a settlement agreement with the Treasury Department. After renaming itself Sparrow Capital LLC, Columbus Nova successfully argued that Intrater — not Vekselberg — owns the fund. Intrater argued that the company was 100 percent owned by U.S. citizens and that no individual or entity under sanction held any interest in it. Intrater said Columbus Nova had earned fees for managing investment funds owned by Renova. He said he had repeatedly told Treasury he would not distribute any funds to Vekselberg.

Now Osipov, the alleged manager of Vekselberg’s $90 million yacht, is attempting a similar argument as U.S. authorities seek his arrest on charges of bank fraud, money laundering, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and violations of sanctions law.

The federal indictment states that the Tango was owned by a shell corporation registered in the British Virgin Islands that was in turn owned by several other companies. The Virgin Islands shell company, authorities say, was controlled by Osipov, who also served in senior roles for multiple companies controlled by Vekselberg. U.S. officials also say Vekselberg ultimately controlled the other companies that owned the Virgin Islands shell company.

According to the indictment, a Tango official instructed a boat management company in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, to use a false name for the yacht — “Fanta” — to disguise its true identity from U.S. financial institutions and firms, which try to avoid doing business with an entity or person under sanction.

Working at Osipov’s direction, according to the indictment, employees for Tango bought more than $8,000 worth of goods for the yacht that were unwittingly but illegally processed by U.S. firms and U.S. financial institutions, including navigation software, leather basket magazine holders provided by a bespoke silversmith, and web and computing services. The management company running Tango, run by Osipov, also paid invoices worth more than $180,000 to a U.S. internet service provider, federal prosecutors say.

The Tango was seized by the FBI and Spanish authorities in the Mediterranean not long after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, and Osipov was first indicted last year. The owner of the Spanish yacht management company hired by Osipov, Richard Masters, 52, of Britain, was criminally charged last year by federal prosecutors with conspiracy to defraud the United States and violating federal sanctions law. A request for comment sent to Masters’ firm was not returned.

But in recent court documents, Osipov’s attorney argues that the yacht was not more than 50 percent owned by Vekselberg, and that the government hasn’t demonstrated it was. Barry J. Pollack, an attorney at Harris, St. Laurent and Wechsler, also says the government never warned Osipov of its novel and “unconstitutional” application of federal sanctions law.

“The government points to no precedent that supports its extraordinary interpretation and cites no authority that allows the traditional rules of statutory construction to be turned on their head,” Pollack wrote in a defense filing. The filing adds: “[Osipov] is not a fugitive because he did not engage in any of the allegedly criminal conduct while in the United States, has never resided in the United States, did not flee from the United States, and has not concealed himself.”

Still, the State Department’s Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program has said it will provide up to $1 million for information leading to Osipov’s arrest, warning that he may visit Herrliberg, Switzerland; Majorca, Spain; or Moscow.

The case demonstrates the extent of the U.S. commitment to tighten the screws on those seen as aiding Russian elites, even if they themselves are not closely tied to the Kremlin.

“When DOJ levels legal action against an individual or entity, they have quite a bit of evidence, especially because the threshold to press charges for money-laundering and sanctions evasion is so high,” said Kim Donovan, director of the Economic Statecraft Initiative within the Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center. “We’ve had quite a bit of experience targeting Russia directly, and what you’re starting to see is the U.S. go after the facilitators enabling sanctions evasion. That’s where the U.S. is focusing its efforts right now.”

ABOUT THE SHIPYARD

Crn superyachts, ancona, italy.

CRN’s fifty-year history is a fascinating, and in many ways symbolic, story that alternates surprising ideas, great achievements, and, inevitably, difficult moments too, blending together human ingenuity, business skills, and passion for the products in a sector that has written unforgettable pages in the history of Italian modern industry. In 1963 Sanzio Nicolini started building some steel and aluminium boats in Ancona, a material that was very little used at the time since wood was preferred. It shows how the “avant-garde” vocation of the Shipyard manifested itself right from the beginning. This choice is radical and definitive. From the very beginning, the Shipyard achieved immediate success and established itself at the high-end of the market, dealing with a very selected and demanding clientele. Already at the end of the Sixties the size of CRN’s yachts was ranging from 15 to 20 metres and their design was immediately recognisable. It was then that the Shipyard built its first series of 23-metre crafts, the SuperConero, which was later followed by increasingly large and prestigious vessels, built in cooperation with important designers, which contributed to establishing CRN’s international reputation.

ENTERTAINMENT

State of the art on board technology.

Satellite television (in all areas), self playing baby-grand piano, Kaleidescape movie & music server (with over 320 movies) controlled via an iPad/iPod based Crestron system throughout the yacht, airplay.
