New Krilo’s Catamaran Eclipse arrived!

The very good news is coming from Krilo Kapetan Luka ( krilo.hr ) the fastest growing ferry company in Croatia. Its newly acquired tricat, fast catamaran ferry was delivered yesterday (26.02.2018) from Livorno in Italy to Split by cargo ship Industrial Faith. The newly arrived catamaran will replace Krilo Eclipse Trimaran which was recently sold after last summer’s successful completion of service.

One of the world’s largest passenger fast ferries, this new catamaran is 57 m long and 13 m wide with a max speed of over 40 knots. The high quality,?fully air-conditioned interior with adjustable seats that are set up over two passenger decks has a capacity of 440 passengers. The catamaran was built in 2001 and entirely overhauled and refitted in 2010.

It is expected that the new catamaran will serve regular passenger service operations between Split and Dubrovnik from spring this year.

Short History

Company was founded last days of the 1889, with small cargo carriers, and existed as such until 1973. In that time minor changes in vessel size and type occur.

1973 was a change over in company core business and it started with tourist ships also, and until 1981 cargo business was completely dismissed and company operated tourist ships only.

1982 company converted operations from daily activities to cruising also.

1990 first new purpose built cruising yacht “M/Y Kapetan Luka” was set into service.

2000/2001 company started with fast ferries, first catamaran purchased.

2003 company divided in two parts fast ferry operator and cruise operator, and is existing as such until.

We will create a new MarineTraffic account using the information from your FleetMon account. This includes your username, name, email address, address, telephone and mobile number, as well as your company name and affiliation (if applicable). After you log in to your new MarineTraffic account, we kindly ask you to reset your password for added security. Of course, you will continue to be able to use your FleetMon account for the time being (we will let you know the next steps about this at a later date).

We are offering a free trial period of two months, allowing you to experience and explore all the fantastic features MarineTraffic has to offer before deciding on a suitable subscription plan. If you encounter any issues or have any questions, contact our support team directly. They will be more than happy to assist you with your new MarineTraffic account.

We would also like to express our appreciation to the photo community for the incredible photos you have contributed over the past few years. Your contributions are invaluable, and we want to ensure that your efforts are preserved. Therefore, we kindly ask you not to transfer the photos manually. Rest assured, we are actively working on a technical solution that will automatically match and include your uploaded photos in your new MarineTraffic account.
