Riverboat Song was a big hit for English band Ocean Colourscene in the 1990s. It is in six eight time signature but the placement of the snare is not where you would normally expect it.
This creates a slightly odd sounding phrase within a very common time signature. That is a fun concept that you can use in lots of creative ways.
