Traveler Reviews

The live entertainment was excellent! Free spirit was the violin and drums and they took requests. Afterwards we went to the top of the boat to party and dance

The dinner meal was amazing!!! That was the best prime rib I ever had!!!! Perfectly cooked! The chicken dish was delish! Entertainment was on point! But the girl playing the violin was the show! The guy on the drums was just a guy playing a drum, didn't really need him. Bartender on the 3rd deck needs to read a better recipe book! Overall though it was amazing!!!!!!

We had a great time. The food was good, especially the shrimp and grits. The dj on the top floor was good as well. Our only complaint would be that we didn't get to serve ourselves, and there were only two ladies serving us. There needed to be more for the line to move more quickly. Overall, it was a nice time that I'd recommend to others.

The tour wasn’t bad, we did the dinner tour. I hate I didn’t pay attention to the fact the dinner tour doesn’t include a history spill. The dinner was buffet style, not the best selections but filling. The offered a baked catch of the day, prime rib, artichoke chicken, roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, dinner rolls, squash casserole, house salad with homemade dressing and peach cobbler for dessert. Only complaint is the number of wait staff. We waited a very long time for our drinks and salad. There was water already placed in the table and a drink menu you could order from. The dinner tour was on the second deck and all other decks have djs and music playing. Overall, worth a visit.

The staff where very nice, always appreciated to serve my mother and I. Views from the river boat where beautiful at sunset! Food isn't awful, but it could improve! Over all I give 4 out of 5 🌟

This dinner cruise was the highlight of our trip to Savannah. The food was good (buffet style) and the entertainment was decent. My husband surprised me with an anniversary package that had flowers on the table and it came with drinks and a cake. The sunset view from the boat was amazing, and the length of time of the cruise was just right. Would highly recommend this.

Sitting in the cruise after dinner watching the other boats carrying cargo etc. food was good The waitress was nice and our neighbors we ate with

Relaxing boat ride. Food and service was ok. Band was really good. If you want a chill night on the water for a couple of hours this is something you should do.

Had a great dinner cruise. Food was great and the music was very good. We had beautiful weather. Very nice crew.

Good food and entertainment. Clean and nice Hotel. I enjoyed the two-day trip and will plan another similar trip in future.

Compliance status

Screen-reader and keyboard navigation.

  • Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website. These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
  • Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.

Disability profiles supported in our website

  • Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
  • Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
  • Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
  • ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
  • Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.

  • frazierb2024 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great way to learn about the "Old-Time Charm" of Savannah in a relaxed way. Highly recommend this riverboat tour to see Savannah from the water! You will learn about the action of the Savannah port and also about the military forts surrounding Savannah and the city's role in the Civil War. Definitely recommend if you are a huge history buff! My mom and I loved the old-school charm of the actual Riverboat and we had a gorgeous weather day, so we really enjoy sitting on the top deck and getting to see the scenery and wildlife around us. The narrator of the boat tour is an aspiring actor in Savannah, so he was extremely entertaining with his story telling and history narration about the city and even kept it light with a few jokes and pop-culture tidbits! I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a sit back and relax activity, while you also learn a ton! Plus, there is a great concessions stand on the boat where you can order drinks and food from. You may even see some beautiful wildlife too while on the boat as dolphins are a popular sight in the river! There is a live cannon blast as the boat passes Old Fort Jackson down the river, so make sure to bring ear-plugs if you are sensitive to that. The tour guide gave us plenty of warning before it happened, but it still caught us off guard. Another thing to note is to get in line earlier rather than later for the boat ride because the seating is first come, first serve, and they have backward facing seats if you want to avoid those. Although, the boat is moving at a pace that isn't upsetting for people prone to motion-sickness (aka my mom!). Read more Written 25 February 2024

Enjoyed being on the water, but the narration was difficult to hear. As other reviewers stated, the views are primarily industrial. We thought we were going of a paddle wheeler boat but it wasn't, there was no paddle wheel. There were only 2 speakers on the main deck of the boat so we could not hear the commentary. There wasn't really anything to look at while you sat on the boat. The windows were dirty. We did pass by a fort but could not hear any information about it. Read more Written 3 February 2024
  • avantikaw2023 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Save your Money Savannah Riverboat Cruises are an overpriced touist trap. We really regret purchasing this experience, and would not recommend it to others. We participated in the Sunday Brunch on New Years Day. The food was awful; lukewarm, poorly made, with very limited options. Although we had paid more for our tickets, we were the last to be served. It was utter chaos, with very little attentiveness and poor communication given to our party. The staff were unhelpful and rude, and poorly dressed with stained uniforms. The announcer/captain was obnoxious, with sophmoric humor sprinkled with shoutouts to corporate sponsors like Walmart. When you purchase your tickets, know that you are paying for a novelty Savannah experience. There is so much that this city has to offer. I would avoid this experience at all costs, and invest your time at one of the many lovely resturants or rooftop bars located throughout the city. This was a huge disappointment for our family. • JacqWilliams 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Disappointed Vegan My husband and I were excited to attend the New Year's Eve Gala Cruise on the Georgia Queen Riverboat. As a vegan, I called in advance to ensure that I would have meal options. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the limited options provided during the event. Despite being told that the staff would be able to accommodate my dietary restrictions, I was only able to eat two of the courses which were both salads and the main meal was a spoonful of overcooked quinoa over asparagus which looked like a plate of slop, see picture below. This made me feel singled out as an outcast. Considering the high price of the tickets, I feel that the advertisements should clearly state if there are no vegan options or there should be a price adjustment. Paying $250 for a plate of iceberg lettuce and strawberries is unfair. I believe that a refund or some other type of accommodation is deserved in this situation. I must say that the staff serving the food were all very nice and should be applauded. Read more Written 4 January 2024

  • MontanaEjp 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Do not recommend this overpriced cruise with little to learn Not worth the money! Do NOT recommend. We purchased tickets assuming it was an amazing cruise because we have always seen the ship docked on the river. Pros: We saw quite a few dolphins, a bald eagle flying overhead, it was a beautiful day to spend some time outside. The narrator was funnier toward the end. Cons: Very expensive to see docked ships and not really much else. Savannah is full of rich history and the stories, information, or facts that was shared was minimal. Such a shame. But if the tour has to pair with what you see around the ship, it makes sense. Nothing to see aside from some ships and tug boats and the River front. Narration was boring. I couldn’t hear half of it depending on where you were standing on the top deck. It was clear as day if you were inside but who wants to sit inside on a beautiful day? I wish I had read the reviews instead of assuming it was wonderful! Read more Written 1 January 2024

  • elaineaB9765RX 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Not a Sternwheeler Depends on what you're expecting...Despite the pictures on the web and brochure, the riverboat was not a sternwheeler. Enjoyed being on the water, but the narration was difficult to hear. As other reviewers stated, the views are primarily industrial. Other river traffic is interesting to see, but not a scenic nature cruise. Read more Written 10 February 2024
  • taber 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Disappointing Cruise Very disappointing experience. A waste of money.

  • Voyage690733 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Not impressed! We did the New Year's Eve Party cruise. The experience was mediocre, live music provided was okay. The dance floor was busy, even crowded at points. I think most people had a okay time. The food however was not up to par, and serviced buffet style. Bar service was horrible, people waited in line for a hour, for overpriced drinks. I personally wouldn't recommend and was not impressed to say the least. I think your money could be better spent elsewhere. There's so many nice restaurants and great things to experience here. Read more Written 1 January 2024

  • Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys.
