Leonardo DiCaprio goes on and on about his environmental activism but he’s not above taking a helicopter from his yacht to land.

Go on Leo’s social media feeds and while he is famous for not detailing his private life, he isn’t lacking passion — albeit, about the environment and climate action.

But the Oscar winner doesn’t always back up his beliefs.

The actor-activist is reportedly in Italy — more specifically, the waters near the Italian shore – where he is vacationing on his yacht, as celebrities do, according to German newspaper Bild.

For visits to the countryside, whether it be lunch or dinner or a nightclub, DiCaprio reportedly hops on a helicopter while aboard his luxury liner and heads to land — and back, of course.

La dolce vita at the expense of the environment? What would fellow celebrity climate activist Greta Thunberg say?

DiCaprio’s shore excursions are short and anything but green, making his speeches about reducing carbon emissions all the more sanctimonious.

While it could be argued that the actor wasn’t going to swim to shore, there are more environmentally friendly ways to travel, particularly for someone who preaches about stopping climate change and building a sustainable economic future.

In 2016, during the Cannes Film Festival, DiCaprio reportedly left the French Riviera by private jet for a brief trip to New York City — to accept an environmental award, the New York Post reported at the time.

He hopped back on another private jet the following day to attend a gala in Antibes, France — a reported 12.8 kilometres from the film fest — and nearly 13,000 kilometres of air travel in two days.

Leonardo DiCaprio Enjoys Memorial Day Weekend on a Superyacht off Sardinia With Bikini-Clad Pal

Like everyone else, you’ve had one thing on your mind this Memorial Day weekend: where and with whom is Leonardo DiCaprio yachting? Well, we can answer the first part with a degree of clarity, but the second part still remains a little vague.

Following the triumphant debut of his latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon , at the Cannes Film Festival a little over a week ago, the 48-year-old Oscar-winner has remained in the Mediterranean. He was spotted, first by TMZ and later by the Daily Mail , floating around on a superyacht off the coast of Sardinia.

If your geography is rusty, Sardinia is the larger of the two big islands that sit in the Mediterranean between France and Italy. The smaller of the two, Corsica, is to the north. Corsica is a territorial region of France, and Sardinia is an autonomous administrative region of Italy. Indeed, sardines get their name from the island of Sardinia. (I used to think sardines were gross until I visited this part of the world, and then realized that I’d simply never eaten good sardines.) 

As far as who the Titanic and Revenant star was yachting with, alas, we can not give you any names. V.F. has reached out to the star’s representatives, who are well within their right to write back, “the man is on vacation, what is it your business?” We’ll let you know. 

We can say, however, that should you check out the images that the Daily Mail has published, you’ll find that the actor, wearing light blue swimming trunks and, in some shots, a beige baseball cap, is joined by hale and hearty young men, and a young woman in a pink thong bikini. The British news outlet describes her as a “gorgeous brunette beauty flaunt[ing] her jaw-dropping figure." Who are we to argue? 

It is also believed that DiCaprio does not own the yacht. 

If you recall, Leo rang in 2023 by cruising around St. Barts on a yacht with then-23-year-old Victoria Lamas . The man loves boats and, it has been noted once or twice, that he enjoys the company of young women . 

For much of this year, he was linked to Gigi Hadid , but if you vigorously study all the graphs and charts , there is evidence to suggest that they are now back in the friend zone. At Coachella in April, DiCaprio was seen, as per Page Six , “looking cozy” with Irina Shayk , the 37-year-old Russian model who co-parents a child with Bradley Cooper . Leo and Irina are old chums (they hung out together at Cannes in 2015, as per People ). She was, indeed, at Cannes again this year, wearing a remarkably revealing outfit , even by “Russian model at Cannes” standards.

Leo DiCaprio may be as famous for yachting as he is for another, even bigger ship, but these days he's strictly upper deck!

The "Titanic" star was lounging this weekend on the top deck of a super yacht with some buddies ... along the coast of Sardinia.

There he was -- again -- a shirtless Leo lovin' life on the high seas. He was recently seen on another yacht in Cannes, where he was promoting his upcoming flick, "Killers of the Flower Moon."

The movie is a throwback -- an American Western crime drama -- directed by none other than Martin Scorsese .

Leo made an appearance at the Cannes Film Festival but still found the time to jump on a yacht with his pal, Tobey Maguire .

The 48-year-old heir apparent to Jack Nicholson knows how to live. We're waiting to see if he gets an invite to jump aboard Mr. Bezos 's big boat .

As the sun slipped away into the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, the unmistakable sound of stilettos on gravel could be heard echoing down the promenade of Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. With a harbor full of hulking yachts (most notably James Packer’s 108-meter Azimut Benetti vessel rumored to be hosting Leonardo DiCaprio) and a view framed by twisting Aleppo pine trees, the amfAR Cannes gala unfolded in an expectedly fabulous fashion.

While the roving fundraising galas pop up throughout the year in Palm Beach, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Venice, this celebration is on the heels of the Cannes Film Festival and might as well be amfAR’s Super Bowl in raising funds and awareness for finding a cure to HIV and AIDS. Last night, a whopping $17 million was raised, beginning with cocktails, naturally, during which the evening’s sponsors—Chopard, Aston Martin, and Red Sea International Film Festival—displayed their wares among the artworks that would be up for auction later in the evening. Swanning through the crowd of 850 guests in layers of taffeta and tulle and feathers and rhinestones were Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rebel Wilson, Eva Longoria, Kate Beckinsale, Fan Bing Bing, Teyana Taylor, and Heidi Klum, along with Ashley Graham, in disguise under a large Nina Ricci chapeau. Graham was one of a handful of partygoers who were swept away from the festivities for an outfit change at the behest of Carine Roitfeld for her mid-gala fashion show auction item.

Shortly after, when guests took their seats for dinner at tables replete with orchids, many a bottle of Champagne on ice, and no less than five pieces of stemware per person, they were welcomed by an homage to amfAR founder Elizabeth Taylor and a troupe of “supers” including Helena Christensen, Carmen Kass, Caroline Trentini, Alek Wek, and Guinevere van Seenus, all emerging from a spiral staircase and stomping down a mirrored runway that snaked through the dining room. The collection of 18 vintage looks sourced by Roitfeld from the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry, Richard Quinn, and Chanel, one more embellished than the next and glistening beneath the room’s mirrored ceiling, would later sell for a cool $600,000.

Led by auctioneer extraordinaire Simon de Pury and the evening’s master of ceremonies, Queen Latifah, the lots also included artworks by Claire Tabouret, Andres Valencia, Robert DeNiro, and a portrait of Monsieur DiCaprio by Damien Hirst, which sold for €1.2 million and a heavy dose of irony as the actor himself sat in the crowd, sporting a baseball cap.

Entertainment was in no short supply either. Gladys Knight, Bebe Rexha, Adam Lambert, and Halsey all delighted guests with their hits before the crowd was directed to the Hotel du Cap pool. Set into the jagged cliff side, it’s a pool shrouded in legendary tales. It’s where Ella and F. Scott Fitzgerald were known to take a dip and where Gianni Angelli used to arrive to thunderous applause when he would dive into the adjacent sea from his helicopter. Though the dance floor and Champagne coupes remained full, the many hushed corners of the poolside and its sequestered tables hosted by sponsors RVLV and h.wood group, served as more of a launch pad for bigger plans.

It was no secret that most partygoers were in town from places further afield and very much on vacation, some for the remainder of the summer, and with that came an understanding that the night would come to a close much later than an average Thursday. This became clear when not one but two after-parties kicked off at 1:00 AM: One hosted by Alton Mason and Elsa Hosk at Villa Domaine de L’Ansa and the other by Johnny Depp and Richie Akiva at Domaine La Dilecta. The latter, which unfolded in a scene not unlike a very upscale high school house party (pizza, tequila, skinny dipping, and all), included DJ sets by Zack Bia and DJ Cruz that kept revelers, well, reveling until sunrise.

Last night, saw the star-studded premiere of Martin Scorsese 's highly anticipated new film, Killers of the Flower Moon , take place. The red carpet delivered arguably the most spectacular moment of the Cannes Film Festival 2023 so far. This film, which is being presented in the out of competition category, is one of the most hotly anticipated of this year's festival, thanks to its all-star cast featuring the iconic duo Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in the lead roles. A whole host of celebrities, including Irina Shayk , Isabelle Huppert , and Naomi Campbell all lit up the red carpet in ultra-glamorous looks.

Just two days after the legendary Harrison Ford returned to the Cannes red carpet, it was Leonardo DiCaprio 's turn to make a striking entrance on the Croisette. The last time DiCaprio appeared at the Cannes Film Festival was in 2019, along with Brad Pitt for another hit film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood .

Last night, DiCaprio walked the red carpet alongside Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro . He chose a classic tuxedo and bowtie. He wore his hair slicked back with a subtle wave, which has become his signature look.

The 48-year-old actor greeted the crowd before joining the rest of the Killers of the Flower Moon film team, which included Robert De Niro , Janae Collins , Cara Jade Myers , Lily Gladstone , Tantoo Cardinal , and Jillian Dion . Those few minutes on the red carpet did not go unnoticed!

The man is having the summer holiday of our dreams

There are two things about Leonardo DiCaprio that I know will always be true: 1/ He’s a man of leisure, and 2/ He's a man of luxury. When DiCaprio not starring in a blockbuster, or dating a young model, the 48-year-old actor can often be found unwinding in a wildly glamorous manner.

This week, he did exactly that, while cruising around the Amalfi coast in his private yacht. DiCaprio invited his dad, stepmum, and niece along for the ride. Some may find that excessive! They might wonder, Why charter a big-ass boat for just four people? Wouldn’t a smaller ship be easier to manage? I think the answer is pretty simple: Because it's fun! And Leonardo DiCaprio has yacht money! I’d do the same. Wouldn’t you?

The actor's upcoming movie is based on David Grann’s popular nonfiction book, Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI . DiCaprio stars in the project alongside Robert DeNiro, Jesse Plemons, Brendan Fraser, John Lithgow, and Lily Gladstone. The crime drama follows a series of murders that affect the indigenous Osage Nation after oil is found on their land. When more and more people go missing, the FBI swoops in to investigate.

Killers of the Flower Moon will premiere in theatres on 2 October. That gives good ol’ Leo at least a few more months to relax before hopping back into movie-star mode. I, for one, can’t wait to see what he does next.

The current menu at La Guérite was created by Executive Chef Yiannis Kioroglou, who channels his Greek heritage with a soulful menu of fresh seafood, French specialties, vegetable-rich appetizers and pasta courses. There’s also an excellent menu of French wines and cocktails, including a daily special, and a platter of sweet desserts.

As guests dine, a band made up of talented singers and guitarists moves between the tables, entertaining guests and taking requests. When the sun starts to set, the atmosphere heats up even more, and dancing on tables is not uncommon as the cocktails and Champagne flow freely.

There is no accommodation on the island—except the exclusive Le Grand Jardin luxury estate—so guests must arrive by boat. For those without a tender, the venue provides transfers from the Capitainerie in Port Canto, Cannes.

While La Guérite has been made famous by its celebrity clientele, there’s more to it than star appeal. Arriving at the venue, it feels like you’re being let into a secret known but to a few. The challenge thereafter is keeping it to yourself.

Natasha, philanthropist and entrepreneur, is the wife of Adar Poonawalla, the CEO of Serum Institute of India. She also posed with Tobey Maguire and others on a yacht ahead of the premiere.

On Tuesday, Natasha took took to Instagram to share photos of herself from Cannes 2023, and wrote, “Out with the homies for Leo and Martin Scorsese ’s masterpiece Killers of the Flower Moon… one of the best performances by Leonardo DiCaprio and his co-stars. Thank you for including me in this epic moment and for my chat with the genius Martin Scorsese.”

Natasha Poonawalla mingles with Hollywood elite at Cannes

Natasha, who was dressed in a white gown and striking gold jewellery, posed with Tobey, known for films such as Spider-Man (2002). Dressed in formal looks, Natasha, Tobey and their friends, stood on a yacht ahead of making their way to the red carpet premiere of Killers of the Flower Moon.

Natasha was seen chatting with legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese as they sat together at a party in another photo she posted. She was dressed in black. Natasha also shared some solo photos of herself from her Cannes 2023 outing, along with a clip of Leonardo smiling and pointing towards Martin from the premiere as their film received a standing ovation.

Natasha also hung out with Irina Shayk , Russian model and television personality. She shared Irina's photo in her Instagram post. Some photos of Natasha with Leonardo from Cannes 2023 were also shared on a fan page on Twitter. While the actor was dressed in black and also wore a face mask, Natasha was spotted in a shimmery white outfit.

In February 2022, photos of Natasha and Leonardo were widely shared online as the duo sat together near a London restaurant's window. As per a report in Daily Mail at the time, they were in London for a friend's wedding, which was also attended by supermodel Naomi Campbell and actor Orlando Bloom. The wedding bash was for British Vogue editor Edward Enninful and his long-term partner Alec Maxwell.

Natasha and Adar Poonawalla married back in 2006 and share two kids together named Darius and Cyrus. Leonardo at Cannes on board 450ft Megayacht Rising Sun

Yacht aficionado and everyone’s favorite bearded celeb   Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted in  Cannes on one of the World’s Largest Yachts, once again enjoying some rest and relaxation after enjoying the parties and premieres of the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival.

He was joined by Cape Fear actress and singer   Juliette Lewis , who seemed to enjoy the experience so much, she posted a video of her experience on board !

And Leo still does not appear to have rid himself of his beard yet, that he has been sporting for some time!

They were seen sunbathing out on deck with a few friends and it looked they were having a fantastic time!

Leonardo was not surrounded by the usual harem of ladies this time, but there was one tall, mystery blonde on board who he was spotted talking to. Who knows who the lady is or if there is any romantic involvement? Watch this space!

The beautiful yacht they were on is called the Rising Sun , built for Larry Ellison and recently sold to   film producer, music mogul and billionaire David Geffen.

The yacht measures 453ft (138m) long, making it the 6th largest yacht on the planet. It features a helicopter landing pad, large swimming pool, fully loaded gym, spa, elevator and private movie theatre – ideal for an A-list movie star! It was built in Germany by shipbuilders Lurssen and can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 cabins. It has a full complement of 45 crew members for around the clock service …

Since the yacht is privately owned, and not advertised for charter, Leo and Juliette are no doubt such good buddies of Mr Geffen this vacay was probably free. But just to fill you in, this mega yacht cost a tidy $590 million to build … and to charter a yacht like this would probably be in excess of $3.5 million per week (plus expenses!)

As well as talking shop, Leonardo has also been enjoying the more fun side of the festival, attending various lifestyle events at the festival.

According to industry reports, the Inception star outbid heiress and socialite Paris Hilton on the lot that was a Chanel purse at the Heart Fund’s Generous People Dinner Gala at the InterContinental Carlton Hotel in Cannes.

The bidding war was all very peaceful with Leonardo eventually winning it – and apparently went into the bidding with a view to win it for his mother. It went for over $10,000…

A Party in Cannes Announces a New Hollywood Power Player

David Zaslav, who is now one of the top executives in the entertainment world, mingled with Scarlett Johansson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese at a lavish soiree.

For a few hours on Tuesday evening, David Zaslav seemed like the happiest man in the world.

“Look at this!” the 63-year-old media executive proclaimed, gesturing at the ice-blue piscine of the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, the seaside resort perched above the French Riviera with a swimming pool immortalized by Slim Aarons .

Yachts bobbed in the distance; searchlights crossed the sky. Somewhere in the crowd, Leonardo DiCaprio was wearing vegan sneakers , and Lily-Rose Depp was smoking a Cuban cigar.

Not so long ago, as the boss of middlebrow Discovery Inc., Mr. Zaslav was known as a cable TV magnate who retailed reality fare like “My 600-lb Life” and “Dr. Pimple Popper.” On the night of the party, a year after Discovery gobbled up WarnerMedia in a blockbuster deal — and put Mr. Zaslav in charge of HBO, CNN and the Warner Bros. movie studio — he was huddling with Scarlett Johansson and having dinner at a table with Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro.

Officially, the event, a social highlight of the Cannes Film Festival, was a 100th anniversary party for Warner Bros. Unofficially, it was the A-listification of Hollywood’s newest mogul.

As a relative newcomer to this rarefied milieu, Mr. Zaslav had enlisted an expert guide — his co-host for the evening, Graydon Carter , who made Vanity Fair’s Oscar party into a glittering annual event during his 25-year run as the magazine’s editor. Now Air Mail, Mr. Carter’s upscale newsletter, was making its own Cannes debut.

“I love the motion picture business, and to be here tonight at Cannes …” Mr. Zaslav said, trailing off. At one point, an illustration of himself and Mr. Carter driving a vintage Mercedes along the Riviera was projected onto the surface of the famous pool. “Here we are, two best friends, at the Hotel du Cap,” he said. “I don’t know — it doesn’t get better!”

Mr. Zaslav’s troubles were thousands of miles away. And given the chaotic state of the media and entertainment business, those troubles were considerable.

Wags on Twitter were mocking the decision to drop the “HBO” from the streaming platform HBO Max, a change that went into effect hours before the party began. CNN was facing a prolonged backlash for its town hall with former President Donald J. Trump, and the network’s ratings have occasionally dipped below those of the right-wing cable news station Newsmax.

Then there was the Hollywood writers’ strike. While other studio chiefs like Ted Sarandos of Netflix had canceled appearances and kept a low profile amid the labor strife, Mr. Zaslav forged ahead. On Sunday, before jetting to France, he gave a commencement address at Boston University, where he was booed and heckled (and then memed) by students who chanted, “Pay your writers!”

There were no picket lines in the south of France, in part because local police banned them . And the Mediterranean mood was more forgiving.

The playwright Jeremy O. Harris was among the guests at the Hotel du Cap. “I have a show with HBO,” he said, “so David is still technically my boss, even though we’re on strike.” He added that he had come to Cannes “as an actor” — he has a role in a film shown at the festival, “ The Sweet East ” — and he had “tried to treat all the work and activism I do around the writers’ strike with the same amount of fervor here.”

Like other guests, Mr. Harris said he was excited to snag one of the custom-printed ashtrays. “I’m continuing to exist in the world, while also knowing that my corner of it has a really dark thing happening,” he said.

As Mr. Zaslav bopped about in Loro Piana loafers, his co-host, Mr. Carter, watched from a remove. This was Mr. Zaslav’s second Cannes trip; Mr. Carter, 73, has been a regular here for roughly 25 years.

Air Mail has a continental flavor and a growing readership but is not yet a household name. So, late last year, Mr. Carter dusted off the Rolodex and gave a party for his venture at the Odeon restaurant in Lower Manhattan. When Mr. Zaslav approached him with the idea of hosting something on Oscar night, he countered with Cannes, where he had held an annual party for much of his Vanity Fair tenure. Adding to the intrigue: Vanity Fair, now led by the editor Radhika Jones, was planning its own Hotel du Cap bash. In an extremely haute monde sense, this was war.

On Tuesday morning at the hotel, Mr. Carter was girding for a last-minute meeting about the seating chart. Over espresso, he demurred on the notion of a rivalry with his old employer and was coy about what he’d heard about the Vanity Fair event a few days earlier. “I’m sure it was fine,” he said.

(Jeff Bezos and Mr. De Niro came to the Vanity Fair party on Saturday night, though the weather was poor. Miuccia Prada, whose namesake brand co-hosted the event, did not attend; a Prada spokeswoman said there was a scheduling conflict.)

Mr. Carter said he met Mr. Zaslav 25 years ago through mutual overlords: the Newhouse family, who are the owners of Condé Nast and also investors in Discovery Inc. (The family has a stake in Warner Bros. Discovery, too.) The men bonded in part over a shared love of Turner Classic Movies, a channel that is now part of Mr. Zaslav’s stable. And now Mr. Carter has gamely taken on the Henry Higgins role.

He helped broker Mr. Zaslav’s purchase of the Beverly Hills home of the late producer Robert Evans , coordinating with his ex-wife, Ali MacGraw (a friend). Mr. Carter said he and his longtime architect, Basil Walter, who was also at the party, are redesigning the Warner Bros. commissary in Burbank, Calif. (“I thought, this is Hollywood — it shouldn’t look like a Marriott,” Mr. Carter said.) The refurbished canteen will feature banquettes and murals reminiscent of Monkey Bar, Mr. Carter’s former Manhattan restaurant.

During the last writers’ strike, in 2008, Mr. Carter canceled Vanity Fair’s Oscar party . What about this year in Cannes? “It’s a celebration of what writers have done, so it’s not like this is antithetical to their aim,” he said, adding, “Writers aren’t paid as much as they should be.”

A few minutes later, Mr. Zaslav bounded up and gave Mr. Carter a bro hug.

“I’ve been working hard for this party,” Mr. Zaslav said with a grin, “calling Graydon every two days and asking how it’s going.”

A Baby and a Maltipoo

After alighting from luxury cars in the palm-shaded driveway of the Hotel du Cap, guests were greeted on Tuesday with hugs and handshakes from Mr. Zaslav and Mr. Carter — in nearly matching tan linen blazers. “Not intentional,” Mr. Carter said, a Pygmalion warily eyeing his pupil.

Inside, there were enough ashtrays to fill the “21” Club back when everybody smoked. Staff in black and white livery were quick to proffer lighters for those with cigarettes.

The actor John C. Reilly, in a hat and three-piece suit, took in the view. Eva Longoria and Oliver Stone crossed paths. Ms. Depp and Troye Sivan, whose HBO series “The Idol” premiered the night before, looked alert despite an after-party that went until dawn. The heiress Daphne Guinness glittered in a silver gown and her signature bicolor updo. Boy George was there in a very tall hat.

The Hotel du Cap overlaps with many of Mr. Carter’s interests: Old Hollywood, the Lost Generation and midcentury European glamour. It is the “large, proud, rose-colored hotel” in the opening lines of Fitzgerald’s “Tender is the Night” and a favored haunt of Picasso and Hemingway, Burton and Taylor, Delon and Bardot. Ms. Bardot’s stepson, the Swiss artist Rolf Sachs, who arrived in a sweeping cobalt frock, observed that the hotel had long been “part of the creation of a new bourgeoisie.”

“Graydon has the oomph to bring together a very mixed crowd,” he said.

Dinner was served on Bernardaud plates. Dessert was an extravagant candy bar called “Comme un Snickers.” Things really kicked off when a well-dressed baby arrived a few minutes past 11 p.m., its stroller carried down a curving staircase by a hotel porter. Another popular guest was Maxi, a 3-month-old caramel-colored Maltipoo, who like many of the attendees had flown in from New York.

Maxi, who was busy licking an ice cube, declined to comment, but his owner, the film producer and Venetian slipper purveyor Stuart Parr, marveled at the tablescapes. “This is made out of ceramic, not plastic,” he said, pointing out an Air Mail-branded match striker nestled between white orchids. “That tells you everything.”

Sting walked in a few minutes before midnight. Ms. Johansson arrived with her husband, Colin Jost, after the Cannes premiere of “Asteroid City,” the Wes Anderson film in which she has a key role. She chatted on the dance floor with Bryan Lourd, her agent and the co-chairman of C.A.A., and Joe Kahn, the executive editor of The New York Times. (Mr. Kahn sat with Mr. Carter and Mr. Walter at dinner.)

Mr. Zaslav may have been the co-host, but some of the guests were still getting to know him. Michael Barker, a co-president of Sony Pictures Classics, said he had met Mr. Zaslav for the first time that evening and appreciated his sense of film history. Boy George said he found Mr. Zaslav “very sweet.”

As at any industry event, some business got done. Mr. Zaslav, Mr. De Niro and Mr. DiCaprio were tossing around new titles for “Wise Guys,” a mob drama that Mr. Zaslav greenlighted after taking over Warner Bros. Boy George said he was open to any roles the Hollywood crowd might throw his way: “I’ve been talking to Rebel Wilson about playing her gay friend.”

By 2 a.m., after the disco and new wave music faded and the house lights went up, Mr. Zaslav was still working the room. He shook hands with the D.J.

The view from the slowly emptying pool deck — purple sky, dark sea, white yachts — was more or less the same one that Jack Warner, the studio’s longtime president, once enjoyed from Villa Aujourd’hui , his summer home , about 700 meters away.

In a mansion-sized tent at the Hotel du Cap-Eden Roc outside Cannes, Tom Ford and Eva Longoria were trying to sell a collection of dresses to the highest bidder. The garments up for grabs at the Thursday night’s amfAR Cinema Against AIDS auction had just been showcased in a fashion show on steroids, which featured 40 models strutting up and down the runway and then returning onstage for an impromptu dance. The crowd of A-list celebrities, oligarchs and other rich-and-famous were impressed.

But nobody seemed to love the spectacle more than “Blurred Lines” singer Robin Thicke , 38, who sat a table close to the action. He kept standing up, sitting down, standing up and clapping, like he was cheering on his favorite sports team. His date, 20-year-old April Love Geary (also a model), didn’t seem to mind.

This annual amfAR event feels like the Golden Globes (or the Met Gala) of France. And these dresses — from Prada, Celine, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and practically every other designer you can name at Barneys — were a hot item. As art auctioneer Simon de Pury (a more aggressively Swiss version of Bob Barker) tried to run the bids up, supermodel Karlie Kloss stuck both arms in the air, in a levitating pose. A friend shoved her onstage. “Bitch,” Kloss whispered, before she took the microphone and begged the crowd for more money. In addition to the dresses, she’d offer an intimate dinner with one of the models, and a picture posted on all 40 of their Instagram accounts.

These added bonuses didn’t result in any more bids, but the dresses still sold for $900,000. In total, the amfAR event on Thursday night was able to generate $30 million for AIDs/HIV research, on top of the $140 million that Cinema Against AIDS has raised over 22 years.

This year’s guest list included Leonardo DiCaprio , who wore a ponytail and smoked an e-cigarette while sipping on a glass of white wine; Jake Gyllenhaal ; Marion Cotillard ; Michael Fassbender ; Sienna Miller ; Chris Tucker ; Michelle Rodriguez ; Harvey Weinstein ; Kendall Jenner ; Isabella Rossellini ; Kenneth Cole ; Xavier Dolan (in a floral-print jacket); and Paris Hilton , who had come to the South of France to DJ and catch Pixar’s out-of-competition premiere of “Inside Out.” (“It’s an amazing film,” Hilton glowed).

Like everything related to money and Hollywood, the patrons only opened their wallets following an elaborate show. Andrea Bocelli performed two songs, and invited the audience to “sing along” with him. Mary J. Blige belted out her trademark tune “Family Affair” that had the audience on their feet.

Among the big purchases: “Coloring Book,” an 18.5-foot sculpture by Jeff Koons ($13 million); a statue by Colombian artist Fernando Botero ($2.2 million); a Banksy portrait of a police officer with a yellow smiley face that came from DiCaprio’s personal collection ($1 million); and Longoria shelled out $600,000 for an Andy Warhol portrait of amfAR’s grande dame Elizabeth Taylor.

DiCaprio also offered a package that included a night out on a yacht with him that sold for $280,000, while a home-cooked meal with 11 of your friends at Boccelli’s house went to two bidders at $1 million each. DiCaprio never took the stage, as he remained at his table with Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson . Fassbender made the rounds, greeting friends. After ogling the models, Thicke disappeared into a bathroom stall, and the men’s room was suddenly overflowing with women in fancy ball gowns who didn’t want to — or actually couldn’t — wait in the longer line next door.

Charli XCX opened the show, and the band Imagine Dragons closed out the night, but not before a drunk woman climbed onstage during the set. She grabbed the microphone and urged everybody to clap louder. But by then, the tent had started to clear as the crowd headed to the outdoor after-party, where Rodriguez would DJ until the early hours of Friday morning.

Leonardo DiCaprio was up to his old tricks as he relaxed on a mega-yacht with a young model in Ibiza, Spain, on Sunday.

The “Titanic” star, 48, was photographed cruising the Mediterranean Sea with 22-year-old Meghan Roche as well as a flock of friends.

But a source tells Page Six exclusively that DiCaprio and Roche are not romantically involved and that the fashionista is actually dating the actor’s pal, who was also present for the group’s day on the water.

Roche, dressed in an electric blue one-piece bathing suit layered under a matching shirt and pants set, was seen showing PDA with her unidentified man throughout their yacht excursion.

Meanwhile, a shirtless DiCaprio was spotted getting his tan on in just a pair of swim trunks as he enjoyed the stunning views of the horizon.

The Oscar winner wore a baseball hat and sunglasses as he and his crew sat in a dingy that transported them to the massive floater dubbed Matador.

DiCaprio has been traipsing around Europe for weeks now.

Last Tuesday, he was spotted grabbing dinner at London hotspot Chiltern Firehouse with his mom, Irmelin Indenbirken, and 28-year-old model Neelam Gill.

Days prior, he was seen busting out his dad-like dance moves while  attending the ritzy wedding  of billionaire art-world heir Joe Nahmad and model Madison Headrick in Sardinia, Italy.

While DiCaprio clearly plays hard, he also works hard. The Hollywood star attended the Cannes Film Festival last month, where his Martin Scorsese-directed movie “Killers of the Flower Moon” received high praise upon its premiere.

He celebrated the film’s success at a historic local chateau last week with his castmates. And while in town, he also attended Graydon Carter’s star-studded Air Mail fête with Scorsese.

Rumors have been swirling that DiCaprio is dating Gigi Hadid since September 2022 .

Just last month, he and Hadid, 28, were seen leaving Cipriani Downtown in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood, and in March they both attended the same Oscars party .

A source told Page Six exclusively in December that Hadid  wasn’t taking things seriously with DiCaprio  and that she was prioritizing her daughter, Khai, whom she shares with ex Zayn Malik.

Meanwhile, DiCaprio has also been linked to models Victoria Lamas , 24, Eden Polani , 19, and Bradley Cooper’s 37-year-old ex  Irina Shayk.

He previously dated “Daisy Jones & The Six” star Camila Morrone, 25, for four years, but they broke up in August 2022.

DiCaprio’s love of models is as ever-present as his love of yachts. Among many of his boating adventures, he memorably partied on a $150 million yacht at Art Basel Miami last year, and last summer he yachted in St. Tropez with a group of pals.

Learn About Leonard DiCaprio's Yacht: Topaz

When you think about Leonardo DiCaprio, images of an eco-conscious crusader who is out to improve the health of the planet may first emerge. Recent rumors that Leo plans to attend the 2018 World Cup events in Brazil aboard a yacht seem a bit contradictory because of the pollution that these floating luxury hotels churn into the air and water.

While some have criticized him for indulging in a bit of heaven at the expense of the planet, if he wasn't doing it, somebody else would be. At least he's making an attempt to help the situation when he can. All of that aside, we were curious to find out more about Leonardo DiCaprio's Yacht, and here is what we discovered.

Leo doesn't own the yacht

DiCaprio hasn't actually purchased a yacht. Instead, he rented it from owner, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Mansour is a billionaire politician who is the current prime minister of the United Arab Emirates.

The mega yacht was custom built according to his grand and luxurious specifications and named the Topaz. Until recently, the interior of the yacht has remained a well-guarded secret. We've learned some juicy tidbits that we're happy to share.

Specifications of the Topaz

The super yacht measures a total of 453 feet in length with a cost of more than $200 million in USD to build and an estimated value of $678 million. This isn't the biggest yacht that Mr. DiCaprio has chartered, but it's likely to be one of the most luxurious.

The yacht is powered by four M90 diesel engines which generate approximately 48,000 horse power. The ship made its maiden launch in 2012 and according to sources, DiCaprio also rented it in 2014 just 2 years into its service run.

The Topaz is rumored to be one of the most extravagant yachts in the world . It offers smooth sailing with the installation of zero speed stabilizers. It comes fully outfitted with lifts that ferry guests comfortably among the eight deck levels to the host of amenities that are scattered throughout the massive vessel.

It is decked out in full luxury and comfort with a cinema, two hot tubs, air conditioning throughout, three swimming pools, a fitness hall, underwater lights, an ample sized conference room and a well hidden interior design that is left up to our imaginations.

Leo won't be making the trip alone. We've learned that he has a list of guests that will accompany him on thee yacht as he enjoys the football tournament in Brazil.

There were 21 of his friends, all of millionaire status mind you, invited to enjoy the amenities. It's been reported that DiCaprio and his pals hopped a jet and flew to Rio de Janeiro to arrive one day prior to kick off of the Brazil World cup.

The controversy the rental has stirred

While some are happy that Leo had a nice luxury vacation , others are upset about the seeming nose thumb to environmentalists who think his actions are careless.

There has been a degree of judgment and sentiments of disappointment to outright damnation sent his way. Activists point out that Leo's private jet that made thee 8000 mile trip left a hefty carbon footprint. This is besides the emissions put out from the luxury mega yacht. They're citing his actions as not being environmentally responsible.

Why the uproar?

The backlash has come after the fact that DiCaprio made a plea to viewers to work with one another to help fight climate change when he accepted his first ever Oscar award. DiCaprio's involvement in Hollywood environmentalism can't be denied.

He dedicates time to fly here and there to pick up awards for his contributions to help clean up the environment, but when he flies to and fro, his carbon footprint grows.

There has been a volley of insults and comments disapproving of Leo's actions, but isn't this how Hollywood environmentalism works? It's kinda tough to get to Brazil without flying or chartering a boat to take you there.

It's a drama that has been ongoing since Leo's plans were first revealed but it seems that he could at least score a few points for encouraging us all to make some kind of effort.

It's not easy being the center of attention and there are times when best intentions draw a backlash of negativism, despite the fact that most of us rely on some type of carbon emitting transportation resources.

Leonardo Dicaprio and Tobey Maguire appeared in good spirits on Monday as they caught up on James Packer 's yacht while in France for the Cannes Film Festival.

Long-time pals Leonardo, 48, and Tobey, 47, both attended the screening for Leo's latest epic Killers of the Flower Moon on Saturday at the Palais des Festivals.

And the pair shared some downtime as they were welcomed on board the luxurious yacht of Australian businessman James, 55.

American actor Leonardo could be seen wearing a black T-shirt and matching baseball cap as he climbed the stairs to the upper deck of the vessel alongside James, who wore a white top and grey cargo shorts.

Tobey could be seen sitting alongside Leo as they travelled out to the yacht on a smaller boat, with Tobey wearing a white T-shirt and a pair of dark sunglasses.

The two actors have been friends for many years, having both risen to fame in Hollywood as child stars.

They worked together on 1993 film This Boy's Life and as well as indie flick Don's Plum in 2001, with the pair being reunited on-screen for the movie adaptation of The Great Gatsby in 2013.

And it seems the pair were always destined to be friends, with Leo telling Esquire in 2014: 'I literally jumped out of the car, I was like, "Tobey! Tobey! Hey! Hey!" And he was like, "Oh, yeah — I know you. You’re… that guy."

'But I just made him my pal. When I want someone to be my friend, I just make them my friend.'

It comes after the pair walked the red carpet separately at the screening of Leonardo's latest film Killers of the Flower Moon in Cannes on Saturday.   

Leo, who leads the cast of the upcoming Martin Scorsese epic, looked dapper in a black suit as he made his grand entrance at the 75th annual film festival.

Killers of the Flower Moon is an American epic Western crime drama film directed by Scorsese, with Leonardo serving as an executive producer.

The upcoming movie, which is based on the best-selling 2017 non-fiction book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann, revolves around a series of Oklahoma murders in the 1920s, committed after oil was discovered on tribal land.

The official synopsis reads: 'At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation, who became some of the richest people in the world overnight.

'The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder.

'Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone) Killers of the Flower Moon is an epic western crime saga, where real love crosses paths with unspeakable betrayal.'

Leonardo is joined by an all-star cast, which includes Oscar winner Brendan Fraser, 54, John Lithgow, 77, and Jesse Plemons, 35.

Actress Lily Gladstone, 36, plays his on-screen love interest Mollie Kyle.

He's back: The highly-anticipated first trailer for Killers Of The Flower Moon was released on Thursday as it features Leonardo DiCaprio 's return to the big screen

The movie marks Leo's first appearance on the big screen since he starred in the Netflix film Don't Look Up, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, 32.

The film's official trailer was released earlier this week, and introduces viewers to Leo's character Ernest as he delves into the history of the Osage nation, explaining that greed attracted 'hungry wolves' to the area.

'Can you find the wolves in this picture?' he asks in the 90-second clip, while flashes dramatic snippets of violence and families being torn apart flash up on screen.

The highly-anticipated Western, which is based on a true story, has a run-time of three hours and 26 minutes and will be available to stream on Apple TV+ after its release.

I n August, Leonardo DiCaprio was seen with Italian model Vittoria Ceretti, despite rumors of a potential relationship with model Gigi Hadid over the past year. New rumors started about Ceretti this summer, when she was seen on a yacht with DiCaprio and other models Meghan Roche and Imaan Hammam. Here's everything to know about the 25-year-old fashionista and her romance with DiCaprio so far.

Who is Vittoria Ceretti?

Ceretti has been modeling since she was 14-years-old and is well known on the runway. She has modeled for campaigns with designers like Alexander McQueen, Versace, Miu Miu, Balenciaga, and Gucci.

Ceretti has quite a social media following, with 1.5 million followers on Instagram. The model has been married, to Italian DJ Matteo Milleri. Their wedding was in 2020, and she is believed to be separated from her husband. She's also acquaintances with Hadid, even appearing with her on the cover of Vogue .

How long have Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti been together?

The rumored couple reportedly met during the premiere for Killers of the Flower Moon at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in May. They were first linked romantically when someone saw them on an ice cream date in Los Angeles, according to Page Six . An eye witness observing them stated there was a “vibe” because of the “way they were talking to each other, you could feel the energy.”

On September 6, they were seen dancing in Ibiza, Spain. A source said DiCaprio calls Ceretti his “girlfriend.”

“Vittoria is a beautiful girl, but Leonardo is of course surrounded by many beautiful girls most of the time,” an insider told The Daily Mail . “But he adores her and she him, they have been spending a lot of time together this summer, traveling around on romantic trips.”

“They added, It has obviously led to much chatter within his circle that Leo is ready to hang up his lothario ways. There have been many women pictured with him, partying with him, but what he has with Vittoria is much more serious.”

DiCaprio has introduced Ceretti to his mom.

In photos shared by Page Six , the couple were seen in Milan leaving the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana Museum on September 24 with his mom, Irmelin Indenbirken, indicating things may be getting more serious.

They spent Halloween together.

On Saturday, October, 28, the couple were photographed getting frisky at a Halloween party in Los Angeles, according to pictures published by the Daily Mail .

In November, they were reportedly “exclusive.”

In early November, an insider told Us Weekly that the Titanic star is “completely smitten” with Ceretti.

“It's going so well that Leo’s actually being exclusive,” the source continued. “Vittoria is all he thinks about.”

Referring to the pictures taken on Halloween weekend and the coziness between the two, the insider stated DiCaprio “doesn’t do that often.”

“He says she’s not only gorgeous, but super down-to-earth, and they have a ton in common,” they added. “She’s not intimidated by his fame at all—she even makes fun of it, ‘the model and the movie star.’ Leo finds it refreshing.”

As for the 20 year age gap, it “clearly isn’t an issue for him,” and DiCaprio “says [Vittoria] is an old soul.”

His friends have also been supportive and are supposedly “keeping their fingers crossed that Leo may have finally found The One.”

DiCaprio and Ceretti had a big moment as a couple at his 49th birthday party, going to the Beverly Hills event together and putting their relationship on show there. A source told People that they were “affectionate and kissing throughout the night” during the November 11 celebration. Other guests included Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Snoop Dogg, Tobey Maguire, Taika Waititi, and Axl Rose, per People .

They enjoyed Europe in December.

After being together spotted at Art Basel the previous weekend in Miami, DiCaprio enjoyed dinner Ceretti in Paris on Friday, December 14. The couple were seen leaving La Girafe restaurant with some space between them. The Italian model wore a long black coat, while DiCaprio had on a bomber jacket and blue pants, covering his face with a baseball cap and black medical mask.

In the new year, they were in Los Angeles.

On January 12, DiCaprio and Ceretti shared a romantic dinner together at Cipriani in Beverly Hills, California. Page Six shared photos of the actor leaving the restaurant in a black baseball cap, black hoodie, jeans, and sneakers. Ceretti wore a much flashier ensemble, donning a silver sequin top and white bomber jacket lined with fur over black pants. She had her hair back in a sleek updo and wore a pair of glimmering earrings.

They were seen in the city again on Thursday, February 22, walking into a building together. DiCaprio is in the midst of shooting a new film with Paul Thomas Anderson film, the “BC Project.”

DiCaprio was dress in a pale blue T-shirt, green pants, and black sneakers. He had a black baseball cap on over his hair, which was drawn back with a band, and wore a black mask. The model was in black leggings and a matching top and a brown suede jacket. She was also carrying a black handbag and wearing sunglasses.

Sources shut down engagement rumors in March 2024.

After Ceretti wearing a silver ring on her left ring finger sparked engagement talk, multiple sources told TMZ that DiCaprio had not proposed. Ceretti has had the ring since at least September 2022, before they began dating.

Ceretti and DiCaprio did signal their relationship remains strong though, as the ring sighting came from paparazzi photos of them on a lunch date in late March.

They were seen the last weekend in the month in Santa Monica on a dinner date at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi. On Thursday, April 11, DiCaprio and Ceretti attended a dinner together in Hollywood with the actor's close friend Tobey Maguire and some other friends at Funke, and were later photographed walking together in Beverly Hills.

He wore a black baseball cap and mask, with a black T-shirt, jeans, and a leather jacket and black sneakers. Around his neck was a thick gold chain for added sparkle. Ceretti was also wearing a leather jacket with oversized jeans, black camisole, and black flats. In one hand she carried a small black purse and she left her hair down.
