The Maryland 37 has a long cruising range and a hull form that provides exceptional seagoing qualities. This type of trawler enables one to cover 1000 nautical miles at nine knots. Her two hulls and two engines provide great stability for anchoring and ease of maneuvering, allowing the Maryland to evolve in small spaces. The Maryland 37 has an large saloon with a cabinetwork table for six to eight people which can be converted into a double bed. The galley is designed with a large worktop, a cabinetwork bar, and a cockpit with a panoramic view. The two beautiful cabins have private showers and toilets. On deck there are two aft platforms, with a ladder and a cold water shower on the port side. The flybridge has a complete pilotage console.

  The Maryland 37 is a  mid-sized catamaran cruiser whose vast interior, stable ride, and economical operation make her a compelling alternative to traditional monohull designs. The Maryland rides on a pair of displacement hulls that move through the water rather than over it. Stepping aboard, the spacious salon dimensions are breathtaking considering that this is just a 37-foot boat. The lower helm is all the way forward, and the heavy-duty windows and extensive mahogany woodwork are notable. Each hull contains a stateroom with a double berth aft, a desk/work area further forward, and a full head with a separate stall shower at the bow. Fountaine Pajot Yachts

Fountaine Pajot has launched over 30 models since 1983 delivering over 2500 boats to date. Dual hull and power cruising catamaran ranges are leaders in their respective market segments, instantly recognizable on seas around the world.

In 1976, Jean-Fancois Fountaine, a well-known regatta competitor, founded Fountaine Pajot with three partners. He set out to establish himself in the French boat building industry, starting with the production of sailboat catamarans. Fountaine Pajot launched its first sail cruising catamaran, Louisiane 37, in 1983. Shortly following came the launch of Casamance 43, a new model with feature solutions that became trademarks on all Fountaine Pajot vessels, such as fixed fins instead of pivoting centerboards for easier handling when sailing. The hallmark of Fountaine Pajot catamarans, inspired by The Vénézia designed by Joubert Nivelt, was established in 1992. This involved bringing the roof forward over its panoramic windows to eliminate direct sunlight and heat from the cabin area. In 1998, Fountaine Pajot launched its first power cruising catamaran, known as “Trawler Catamarans”. The Maryland 37 and the Greenland 34 quickly gained popularity in the powerboat market. Driven by innovation and efficiency, Fountaine Pajot has launched more than 30 models since 1983, becoming one of the top boat builders of dual sail and power catamarans, ranging from 36 to 80 feet.

I bought a yacht that I had never seen. I did this because I trusted my broker Andrew Holland. It was not an easy job for Andrew, as I am an experienced boat builder and owner of previous yachts, but work in West Africa. Imagine how hard it was to communicate what I was looking for. Andrew came up with exactly what I wanted. He dealt with time delays, all my questions at odd hours, and was there for the survey. He reported honestly and professionally. After buying the yacht, I arrived at the boat on a Sunday night, after dark, after travelling from West Africa to the Caribbean, and found it was better than expected. He never pulled punches and made me aware of shortfalls. I expected to spend my one month leave working on the boat, but actually spent less than one week, and was able to spend 3 weeks sailing – wonderful bonus.
