Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers furious after charter guest harasses Madison

Madison was harassed on Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers are furious at Bravo after a charter guest harassed Madison Stalker, and nothing was done to stop it. Not only did one of the obnoxious Long Island bros put his hands on her, but Madison repeatedly told him not to touch her.

The episode was painful to watch for viewers, who just endured an entire season of misogynistic behavior on Below Deck.

Lenny manhandles Madison

Charter guest Lenny manhandled Madison when he picked her up in the air, as though she was a weight that he was lifting. No, she did not give him permission to touch her. Yes, Madison told him bluntly to put her down, three times to be exact.

After finally putting Madison down, Lenny continued to be aggressive by saying she better not tell anyone. The second stew walked away, while Lenny cheered with the drunk bros after his actions.

Madison was shaken up after the incident but did not report it to chief stew, Jenna Macgillivray , or Captain Glenn Shepard. She did confide in deckhand Parker McCown expressing her frustration over the harassment.

The reason Madison didn’t tell one of her superiors is that she didn’t want to piss off the guests and put “people’s tips” in jeopardy.

Fans call out show and Bravo

Twitter exploded with fans calling out Bravo and Below Deck Sailing Yacht for letting the guest harass Madison.

The cameras were rolling, so there were plenty of people that could have intervened. Yet it was business as usual for the reality TV show.

“Please tell me @BravoTV is looking into how male charter guests treat women on Below Deck and Below Deck Sailing Yacht. I’m disgusted by how some of these guests are allowed to treat the women crew members,” one viewer tweeted.

Another brought Bravo personality Andy Cohen into the mix. Fans are still upset about his favoritism of the men at the Below Deck reunion show and think he needs to help stop the disgusting behavior.

“Are you kidding Bravo and Andy Cohen. This behavior in your series on below deck sailing yacht towards women is disgusting. You are filming this. It is abhorrent and disgusting. You’re show should have stopped this and thrown these gross awful men off the boat!!!!!!!!!!!!” wrote the user.

Viewers are reeling from the episode with one even sharing that watching the show made the person became physically sick. It is a relatable statement, too. The comments section was flooded with people in agreement.

“The latest episode of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht is incredibly upsetting. I’m physically sick,” shared the fan.

@BravoTV #belowdecksailing . First we had to endure the bru club on below deck, now you decide to highlight assault and bad behaviour on below deck sailing yacht? What is wrong with you people 🤬🤬🤬 — Sanleh (@Sanleh1) March 10, 2020

A male charter guest harassed Madison Stalker on Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and viewers are outraged. The recent bros’ behavior allowed on all versions of the Bravo franchise is turning fans against the show.

Below Deck: Sailing Yacht's Charles Sanders Addresses The Negative Fan Reactions To His Appearance On The Show

Omellete you finish, but...that was the most divisive primary stint of all time.

So far on the third season of Below Deck : Sailing Yacht , the most controversial primary to appear on the Parsifal III has been Charles Sanders. The husband of Bachelor Nation alum Erica Rose, Sanders rubbed many from the deck crew in the wrong way, such as when he threw a fit over a breakfast omelette and later nearly came to blows with his own guest on the trip. Bravo fans shared many negative reactions online regarding his antics, and Sanders is addressing them directly.

Why Charles Sanders Believes His Backlash Happened

Amidst the airing of his charter's episodes, viewers did not hold back what they really thought of the personal injury attorney. On Twitter, for example, Charles Sanders was labelled by one user as “disgusting,” as someone with “little class” by another, and overall one of the “worst charter guests” in the history of Below Deck: Sailing Yacht . In an interview with Reality Blurb , the provocative figure recognized why he received such hateful criticisms on social media, saying,

I think people reacted negatively to me because I made a bit of a scene which at the time I thought would be funny. The aftermath has been challenging to say the least and I definitely didn’t mean to offend anyone.

Charles Sanders admitted that he “dramatized” his behavior for the sake of the reality show, and that it was “fun” getting to play up his storyline in anger-inducing ways. Playing the villain role certainly can work out for some unscripted TV stars, as it has for Christine Quinn over on Netflix’s Selling Sunset . However, the Below Deck: Sailing Yacht newbie actually regrets now coming across as a “difficult passenger.”

Primary Beef With Castmates On And Off Below Deck: Sailing Yacht

Following their appearance on the show, Erica Rose took to defending her husband by calling out the alums who were onboard , specifically Daisy Kelliher, Colin MacCrae, Gary King and Captain Glenn. The insinuation was that they were all faking the drama for the sake of reality TV ratings. But then Kelliher responded to the accusations with an F-bomb on her personal podcast, saying that the beef actually started with certain comments made by Rose and her family after Below Deck: Sailing Yacht ’s second season. Charles Sanders denied any wrongdoing regarding the Bravo alum on that score. He also stated:

I had no idea that after such a fun trip that Daisy would turn around and be so cruel and say things she did about my family. Especially because Erica and her mother are so respectful and fun.

Furthermore, Sanders reflected to the outlet that he in fact considers Daisy Kelliher the “antagonistic” one, and not the other way around. He offered an apology only to his wife for having to take most of the “heat” for his exaggerated stint on the show.

Charles Sanders Speaks Out On That Low-Ball Below Deck Tip

To top off a not-so-well-received turn on Below Deck: Sailing Yacht , fans were shocked to learn that the group left behind the lowest tip in the entire franchise’s history , in the amount of $6,500. (Typically, the gratuity reaches upwards of 5-figures, as it has to be split amongst the whole crew.) The other couple involved with that trip have publicly claimed that Erica Rose and Charles Sanders lied about how much they were supposed to throw in the pot, so to speak. About that awks situation, Sanders only said:

It’s really odd they didn’t pay their portion. It seems a bit wrong that they did that and placed the blame on others. I hope they realize the crew members are hard workers and deserve a tip.

As to whether he will return for more drama (real or otherwise) on the ever-expanding sea-faring series , Charles Sanders revealed that he is done-zo, speculating that reality TV is not exactly his “forte.” Many fans will likely agree. And it’s probably for the best, anyway, considering that Daisy Kelliher has essentially said a repeat trip would happen over her dead body.

Below Deck fans and crew members slammed charter guest McCordia Young for his inappropriate comments. In the premiere episode, he harassed stew Gabriela Barragan. Though he had a few drinks, his remarks were out of line. He kept asking her personal questions.

McCordia wanted to know if Gabriela liked anyone on the yacht. Then, he would tell her that he doesn’t believe her. Most of the questions were suggestive in nature. McCordia’s behavior sparked a social media backlash among Below Deck fans and crew members alike. It also brought an important conversation about workplace harassment on the high seas.

Now, McCordia is speaking out about the comments he made. Read on to see what he has to say and for more.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht charter guest makes Gabriela uncomfortable

Unfortunately, Gabriela had to deal with the drunken charter guest by herself. The rest of the interior team were in bed for the night. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht newbie took on the night shift to take care of the charter guests and their needs. McCordia kept asking Gabriela questions about her personal life. He asked her if she was interested in anyone on board the sailing yacht.

When she said no, he said he didn’t believe her. She told him that he should probably go to bed. McCordia said he wasn’t attracted to women, but continued to make inappropriate comments about her. He said that he found her beautiful and would willingly sleep with her.

In her Below Deck confessional, Gabriela said she knows how to shut down creep men like McCordia.

McCordia Young speaks out on inappropriate comments

The Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 3 charter guest has spoken. The first charter of the season went to a dark place for Gabriela. She tried to get the primary charter guest to go to bed after he made inappropriate comments about her.

In the next episode, McCordia addresses the comments he made to Gabriela. According to Bravo TV’s The Daily Dish , their interaction will take place on the Monday, February 28 episode. The following morning, he approaches her and apologizes for his behavior.

“I hope I didn’t offend you last night,” McCordia tells Gabriela.

“No, I mean, you did not offend me. You know, when I was like, ‘Hey, let’s keep it professional,’ you did. It’s all I asked. Thank you for bringing it up,” the Below Deck crew member responded.

'Below Deck' Finale: Glenn's drug search goes awry, fans say Billy hid his stash and should have been tested

Bravo's 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' returned this week with its finale episode and it was explosive to say the least. It began with a drug investigation and ended with heartbreaks and goodbyes.

Previously, Captain Glenn Shephard was informed by his crew members — Jenna MacGillivray and Chris Miller — that they had spotted white powder under Billy's (one of the charter guests) nose. Based on their observations, Glenn had a chat with the guests and expressed an interest in searching their belongings, to which Billy readily agreed while he said: "I have got nothing to hide bro." Glenn rummaged through his luggage as Madison Stalker watched. It was already a stressful situation, which got out of hand when Glenn didn't find drugs on Billy. It put off Billy and his friends on vacation. Minutes later, Billy walked up to Glenn and confronted him for conducting the search. He made it a point to let Glenn know that he was offended.

Sure, it's humiliating to be accused of something one hasn't done but Glenn's hands are pretty tied here because that's the protocol — any suspicion would lead to a search. And being caught in possession of drugs on the boat have serious legal implications. The yacht could be confiscated and Glenn could lose his license. So, there was a lot at stake and it would only be foolish of Glenn if he ignored Jenna and Chris' accounts.

Meanwhile, fans think Glenn didn't find drugs on Billy because he had already snorted all of it or hid it somewhere it couldn't be found. "I think he already snorted them so Glenn would only find out if he did a drug test," a fan commented. Another shared: "We know damn well that they hid those drugs elsewhere. They wouldn’t stash them in luggage since interior goes in. They were put somewhere in that room though. That guest was snorting something at dinner the night prior. He lyin!! #BelowDeckSailing."

One more said, "For someone who’s claiming not to have drugs on board, Billy is acting a lot like someone who may have drugs on board #BelowDeckSailing #BelowDeckSailingYacht," a viewer expressed. "The captain may not have found any drugs, but that doesn’t mean the dude wasn’t using. His behavior speaks for itself.#BelowDeckSailing." Another user tweeted, "Billy claiming he's so offended and has no drugs on board... BECAUSE HE SNORTED THEM ALL #belowdecksailing."

A Charter Guest Gets "Stuck at Sea" in Shocking Below Deck Med Moment: "I'm Sh-tting Myself"

The Below Deck Mediterranean crew faced a "really embarrassing" moment when a charter guest "floated away" from Mustique.

below deck sailing yacht guest reactions

While the Below Deck   franchise deck crews are true professionals, mistakes can always be made. And mistakes seem a little scarier when you're in the middle of the Mediterranean sea.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Mediterranean  on Mondays at 9/8c and next day on  Peacock . Catch up on the Bravo app .

On the upcoming episode of  Below Deck Mediterranean  (Season 9, Episode 3), set to air Monday, June 17, deckhand  Nathan Gallager  takes a guest out on a paddle boarding excursion ... and they stay in the water for longer than anticipated. In the above preview, you can see fellow crew members' reactions to the deckhand and guest getting stranded far, far away from the boat.

"Sh-t, where the hell are these two?" asks deckhand Joe Bradley after charter guests start wondering after their friend Laura. "This is really embarrassing. Oh my God, what are we going to do? This can't be happening."

Nathan gallagher and a guest get stranded while paddle boarding.

After paddle boarding out from the ship, Nathan exclaims that they've gone "too far."

"We've floated away," he says to the guest, who confirms his take. A visual proves the yacht is 300 meters away.

"We're trying to row back to the yacht, but we're actually going backwards because the current is so strong," explains the yachtie in a confessional (a good sign that he gets rescued eventually). "So, yeah, we're stuck at sea. I'm sh-tting myself."

A charter guest lost at sea while paddle boarding because of strong tides.

Where is the Below Deck Med Season 9 Cast From?

What happened during the first below deck med charter of season 9.

Nathan and the guest drifting out to sea seems to be a major problem — but it's far from the only one the Mustique crew has faced thus far on Season 9.

During their first charter, there were issues on the yacht including cabin leak, laundry mix-ups, and a lack of provisions .

"The first charter, that honestly was probably the most stressed I have ever been in my whole yachting career," Aesha Scott told The Daily Dish in May. "It just felt really unfair because I had put so much time and effort [into] preparing and planning and making sure everything was perfect before I joined. Then the provisions didn’t come, and all of the preparations that I did were pointless because [of] all of these reasons that were totally outside of my control ... I just felt upset because it just felt so unfair."

  • Johnny Damon's time on Below Deck wasn't a five-star experience, with complaints about food and camera time.
  • Fans agreed with Damon's critiques on the show, sparking a wide discussion on YouTube.
  • Other celebs like Whitney Thompson and Jill Zarin also had their share of complaints while on the show.

Nobody does reality TV like Below Deck . The Bravo series has a diverse audience and, over the years, fans have also seen a wide-range of celebs on the show. That included reality stars and athletes.

One athlete in particular might've done more harm than good. Johnny Damon wasn't really glowing about his experience and, in truth, he complained about his camera time, and service. Although Damon's assessment might've harsh, fans actually agreed with what the athlete had to say.

In the following, we will look back on Damon's time, and his thoughts on the experience. We will also take a look at other celebs that appeared on the show, and had questionable moments as well behind the scenes. Let's take a look.

Bravo's promotional picture for the next season of the hit show.

I Know How Much Below Deck Mediterranean Guests Pay To Be On The Show, and It's Not What You Think

Below Deck Mediterranean passengers pay tens of thousands of dollars to experience a once-in-a-lifetime journey on the popular Bravo show.

Johnny Damon Questioned His Below Deck Screentime And Quality Of Service

At the age of 50, Johnny Damon's days as an athlete are over. However, he managed to enter the reality TV world in a major way with a few different cameos on Below Deck . He was a guest alongside Michelle Damon in both season 4 and 5 of Below Deck Med. Fans noticed a couple of things during Damon's appearance. For one, he was very particular about his food, so much so that he even sent back a dish. Damon's experience wasn't a positive one, stating on The Daily Dish that it wasn't five stars . Ouch.

Damon had another complaint about his time on the show. The former MLB player felt as though he had a lack of screentime. Damon revealed, “We kept expecting the camera to be in our face, and it wasn't.”

Despite facing the opposite experience to what fans expected, he returned to season 5.

What Really Happened To Fraser Olender From 'Below Deck' Season 11?

What Really Happened To Fraser Olender From 'Below Deck' Season 11?

Below Deck's fans want to know what Fraser Oleander's fate is after season 11 was rocky for the Chief Steward.

We aren't quite sure what the mission intent was for Damon on Below Deck . If it was to get fans talking, he certainly succeeded, as people on YouTube opened a wide discussion about Damon ripping on Anastasia's food. For the most part, fans agreed with Damon's assessment.

  • The most liked comments wrote:
  • "Anastasia is full of it. People do not like to be told what to eat or do simply because they are on a vacation. It’s very possible that having how they’re eggs are done might be the most complicated decision of the day while on vacation and sometimes that feels good when it’s not usually the case."
  • "She served them mozzarella balls and tomatoes as a starter, eggplant roll ups as a main and ice cream soup for dessert. If I were paying tens of thousands for a yacht getaway, I’d complain about that too. Her hubris is unwarranted and the clients had the right to tell captain that they didn’t think the food was five star bc it wasn’t."
  • "That Chef deserves her crappy review from those people. She won't give them a choice because she believes their experience would be enhanced with less choices? It's not your choice honey."
  • "That Chef deserves her crappy review from those p"Not a fan of Anastasia. Excuses excuses. Bury that ego and learn from mistakes to become better at your skill/profession. She won't give them a choice because she believes their experience would be enhanced with less choices? It's not your choice honey."

Given the reaction from fans, it seems evident that Anastasia only made things worse given her reaction to Damon's thoughts.

Whitney Thompson Also Admitted She Didn't Make Life Easy For Those Working On The Yacht

America’s Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson also appeared on the show. She took part in the first season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Once again, there was a complaint behind the scenes. This time it was from Chef Adam Glick, who complained about Thompson's requests for vegan food. Discussing her appearance on Instagram , Thompson agreed she wasn't the easiest guest to deal with.

She captioned, "Watch me on Below Deck tomorrow night! ⚓️ I had all my favorite Nashville peeps, & we did not make the crew’s life easy! ⛵️ Chef Adam is already complaining about me being vegan. 🤣🙄🌱 Tune in tomorrow night for all of the drama!"

Why Kate Won't Be Returning To 'Below Deck,' Despite Being A Favorite

Below Deck's Kate Chastain won't be back in a skort as a Chief Stew any time soon, but that doesn't mean she's stepping away from Bravo.

There are other notable names to appear on the show in recent years. Former The Real Housewives Of New York City s tar Jill Zarin is among that list. Looking back, she was considered among the most difficult charter guests during season 11. It seems like Zarin made several demands of the crew, giving off the impression that she was there to test the staff. It seems like when Zarin left, it caused massive joy for crew.

It remains to be seen if others will appear on the show. Reddit fans confirmed that Below Deck has a large fanbase with some notable celebs.

Leslie Jones And Conan O'Brien Are Among The Top Celebs That Watch Below Deck

There is a large portion of celebs that watch Below Deck . Jeremy Allen White's interest for Below Deck sparked a discussion on Reddit of other celebrity names that watch the show. The list is stacked, including Conan O'Brien and Leslie Jones.

  • Fans discussed:
  • "Leslie Jones was on Fallon having an argument with him about how terrible Ashton is." (Fans also noted that Jones would recap the show on Instagram)
  • "Conan O’Brien and his wife. He interviewed a yacht chef fan on his podcast last week and mentioned it."
  • "I love that Jennifer Lawrence watches these shows haha. She definitely has a lot of opinions about Vanderpump Rules and it’s amazing lol."

Jennifer Aniston and Seth Rogen were other celebs that also made the list.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for the popular Bravo series. But surely, fans and even some top-tier celebs will be watching.

How Much Exactly Do You Have to Pay to Charter a Boat on 'Below Deck Mediterranean'?

  • Trying to get on Below Deck Mediterranean comes with a hefty price tag.
  • Guests on the show pay a discounted rate, but still shell out over $8,000 each to be on the boat.
  • The $65,000 price tag for the show is a steal compared to the usual cost of chartering a yacht, which can reach up to $200,000.

Trying to be on a Bravo show is a goal for many viewers and, if you have money, it might be an easier goal to obtain. One of the top shows on the network is Below Deck Mediterranean and, if you can afford it, you can worm your way into a spot on the series. But only as a guest, and you have to pay a pretty penny to make it happen.

The premise of the show is to see the crew of Below Deck Mediterranean working on a ship together and taking care of guests when aboard the ship. But, according to Bravo's website, the series seemingly has guests paying less than what they normally would. The casting for the show states that those "guests" are paying a discounted rate to take a journey. The site says that the crew are serving guests paying "a highly discounted rate of what the normal charter fee." And when you hear how much they're paying, it will make you wonder how much a real charter fee is.

Now, your average day Bravo fan might not be able to just drop the amount of money it takes to be on Below Deck Mediterranean . According to a casting email obtained by The Things , each person is paying over $8,000 to be on the boat. That puts the total to charter the boat at $65,000. Again, how much is it normally to charter a boat if this is the discounted rate? With a tip of $15,000 total for the crew, that puts the grand total for each person at $8,125. Sorry, guys, we maybe won't be on Below Deck Mediterranean any time soon.

What Does the 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Price Tag Get You?

That $65,000 price tag is, sadly, not even a fraction of what this kind of get away typically costs, running you upwards of $175,000 to $200,000 to charter a boat. If you aren't the most elite of rich people, you might not find yourself on Below Deck Mediterranean any time soon. Reportedly, what this price tag includes for those wanting to be the next guest on Below Deck Mediterranean is the following: economy roundtrip airfare for everyone, two nights in a hotel, three days on a luxury yacht, a private chef, food and alcohol on the yacht, 24 hour service and all 'water toys.'

So with the $15,000 tip already included and knowing what the overall price tag could be to charter a yacht, it isn't the worst deal on the planet. You just have to have that much money just lying around.

Below Deck Mediterranean

In a luxury charter yacht traveling across the Mediterranean, crew members face both the challenges of managing upscale guest expectations and the complexities of their own interrelationships. Each episode highlights the high-octane world of yachting where exceptional service standards meet personal drama and adventure.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

What happened to xandi olivier after below deck season 11, what happened to chef anthony iracane after below deck season 11.

  • Amy Poehler loves Below Deck and wants to join as a crew member, even joking about becoming the captain.
  • She prefers Below Deck over reality shows without a purpose like Real Housewives because she enjoys the work aspect.
  • Although Amy thinks she'd do poorly on Survivor, being a charter guest on Below Deck would be more likely.

Saturday Night Live 's Amy Poehler is such a big fan of Below Deck that she wants to join the Bravo reality show in a major crew member role. After leaving SNL , Amy went on to star on the NBC comedy Parks And Recreation . She is currently promoting the hit animated Pixar film Inside Out 2 , in which she voices the character Joy. Amy is not the only celebrity who loves watching Below Deck . Seth Rogen, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Jennifer Lawrence, Christina Applegate and Anthony Mackie are just some of the many actors and TV personalities who watch Below Deck .

Amy Poehler loves watching Below Deck and wants to join the franchise.

While promoting Inside Out 2 , Amy discussed her love of reality TV, including Below Deck . While talking with Cosmopolitan UK , the SNL legend admitted that she wants to become a Below Deck cast member, specifically the captain . " It would be hard for me to not be the captain, but, again, I do not know how to drive a boat, so I feel like that would get in the way ," she sarcastically said. Amy added that she'd " fake it " for a couple of days before her inevitable firing.

Amy went into more detail about why she likes watching a show like Below Deck as opposed to other reality shows that focus on people's everyday lives. As she explained, " I like the job that everybody has to do. I care about whether or not they turn the boat over. I want to watch them clean the bathrooms and stuff. That's why I'm into ." Amy's not a fan of reality shows like the Real Housewives where there doesn't seem to be a purpose , according to her. " Everyone sits around and there's no job; they just go to dinner ," she added. " That gets me very stressed. "

Amy Poehler Thinks She’d Be Voted Off Survivor “Pretty Fast”

Amy poehler talks "in front" of people's backs instead of behind their backs.

While Amy believes she would be well-suited to a show like Below Deck , there's a different reality show she would likely fail at: Survivor . " I think I'd get voted off pretty fast ," she admitted. Amy explained that if she were on Survivor , she would be talking to people " in front of their back " instead of " behind their back ." Behavior like that would not go over well with Survivor players and would make her a target at Tribal Council. However, if Amy did get voted off of Survivor , she would " accept the tribe's word ."

It's unlikely that Amy will ever compete on Survivor , but appearing on Below Deck could be a strong possibility--just not as the captain. Below Deck is no stranger to featuring celebrities on the various yachts. Past charter guests have included American Idol 's Justin Guarini , The Bachelor 's Erica Rose, musician Roy Orbison Jr., baseball player Johnny Damon, journalist Jemele Hill, and Real Housewives stars Heather Gay, Cynthia Bailey and Jill Zarin. Clearly, Bravo cast members have a leg up when it comes to appearing on Below Deck as the vast majority of the celebrity guests are reality stars.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

While there's no way Amy will be joining Below Deck as a cast member, Bravo should consider having her as a charter guest . Considering she's already a big fan of the franchise, it's unlikely she would turn down the opportunity. The network could also consider filming a comedic bit with her where a season of Below Deck kicks off with Amy at the helm of the yacht, then Captain Kerry or Sandy walks in, surprised to see her. Amy has a long-standing relationship with NBCUniversal, which produces Below Deck , so an appearance should happen at some point in the future.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
