DESCRIPTION

Forgus yachts were built on the island of Orust alongside other well known Swedish boatbuilders, Hallberg Rassy, Malo and Najad. Built to the highest standard, the Forgus 37 is a well-proven centre cockpit offshore cruiser with good performance and a layout suitable for extended living aboard. This excellent example has been well looked after and is presented in very good condition. Don't hesitate to come and have a look, these fine vessels are rarely on the market.

The layout offers up to six berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation. In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under. Opening hatch to foredeck. Two hanging lockers. In saloon, dinette to port with settee berth opposite. The seat back of this berth lifts up to reveal a wider berth and provide daytime bedding stowage. Fixed table with drop leaves. Opening hatch to deck. Chart table to starboard with L shaped galley opposite. Two burner gimballed ENO gas cooker with oven. Twin stainless steel sinks with hot and cold pressurised water system (engine and immersion heating). 300 litre freshwater capacity in two tanks. Refrigerator with keel cooling. Separate heads compartment to starboard with marine WC (with 70 litre holding tank), shower and wash basin. Walk through to aft cabin with access to port side of engine. Good sized double berth to starboard with occasional seat opposite. Hanging locker. Opening hatch to deck. Webasto diesel fired hot air central heating. Radio/CD player. Grey/blue upholstery (2017).

Located in acoustically insulated space below the cockpit. 1996, Volvo Penta MD22L marine diesel engine. Four cylinders. 48hp. Fresh water cooled. Shaft drive to fixed three bladed propeller. Single lever engine controls. 210 litre fuel capacity in stainless steel tank, giving a range of some 250/300nm at 6 knots cruising speed. There is good access to the engine either at the front or via the access hatch in the walk-through. The vendor estimates that the engine has completed some 2,700 hours and it is due its next service. The engine is serviced by her owner annually.

Built in 1996 by Forgus Yachts to a design by Hugo Samuelsson. White GRP hull with dark sheer stripe. Rubbing strakes. Alloy toe rail. White GRP superstructure with teak laid deck. March 2022 the underwater section of the hull was shot blasted, keel faired, all epoxy coated then Coppercoat applied. Professionally done by Suffolk Yacht Harbour with coating warranty.

Two owners from new, she has been in her current ownership for 15 years.

Forgus 35 is a 34 ′ 1 ″ / 10.4 m monohull sailboat designed by Hugo Samuelsson and built by Forgus Yachts (SWE) between 1977 and 1983.

They bought Florida party destination 'Beer Can Island' for $63k, now it's selling for $14M: See photos

After six months of tracking down the owner of a small Tampa Bay island, Russell Loomis bought the marooned 9 acres for $63,500 in December 2017 . Little did he know, it was an infamous party destination.

"I had no idea how popular this place was with the boating community," Loomis told USA TODAY in an interview. "Come early February, early March...every weekend or every nice weather day the island was completely surrounded by hundreds of boats and hundreds of people up on the island."

The spot goes by many names Pine Key and Paradise Island, but most popularly by Beer Can Island.

Loomis pooled money with some friends including Cole Weaver with the hopes of operating a floating tiki bar off its shores. But over the last six years, they've turned it into much more.

But now, they're closing in on a deal to pass the island and its visitors to the next owners.

"We're all entrepreneurs and we've done what we could do with the island," Weaver said, rattling off the weddings, concerts and food and beverage services they brought to the island. "It's just time for us to pass the torch to somebody who can come in and make the island bigger."

Beer Can Island has been a boat spot for seven generations

Weaver said when they first bought the island, he camped out there for 100 days straight helping out with the bar, socializing with the onslaught of visitors and growing a big "Cast Away" beard in the meantime.

"I just (would) meet interesting people all day, hang out, party with them all day and then sunset comes around and they disappear and I'm on an island all by myself walking around like, did that really happen?" Weaver said.

He remembers most fondly the variety of people the island attracted, including professional athletes, politicians and people whose families had been going there for up to seven generations.

Owners in talks with potential buyers

Loomis said they set up a membership system to allow people to purchase liquor from their bar. The memberships range from $9 a month to $499 for three years, and Loomis said they ended up with approximately 4,500 members. They closed Beer Can Island to the public in February of this year and listed it for $14.2 million.

Officials have raised concerns about emergency accessibility on the island, local outlets reported , and a young man drowned while visiting the island in 2023.

"Unfortunately, those things can happen anywhere," Loomis said, adding that the island is safer with the staff who were trained in providing aid than if it was left uninhabited with the flow of visitors. He also said the island has devolved into "lawlessness" since they stopped operating.

Loomis said they are exploring two different potential deals: one from a private buyer and another from someone who hopes to buy it on behalf of the community with $1,000 pledges from members going into an Escrow account.

"It's been a really fun project," Loomis said, but he also expressed he is ready to move onto his next endeavor.

Weaver said that some people are worried it will fall into the wrong hands and may not be available to the public in the future, but he hopes it be expanded and improved on.

"There's a lot of good potential still with the future of this place," Weaver said.

Yakimanka District – one of the most interesting and prestigious areas of Moscow by popular opinion. It is packed full of well-known historic monuments, museums and large parks. The Yakimanka District changed drastically during the Soviet era: most of the centuries-old low-rise houses and mansions were completely demolished or restructured. By the beginning of the 1990’s, new residential and public complexes had already taken their place. Today, one can find condos for sale in Yakimanka’s new residential complexes for the average price of 11 000 USD per square meter (3.28 sqft). The price of a square meter in a Soviet era panel building is 4 000 USD.

Here in Russia’s capital we have our own skyscrapers – grouped together in the compound famously dubbed Moscow-City (the Moscow International Business Center). Many large corporations have their headquarters here. For 1 million US dollars you can purchase a 3-room apartment with a floor area of 607 sqft (185 m²) in one of the towers. Where Can I Find Cheap Flats?
