I was in town for a week and kept spotting this charming vessel. Intrigued, I decided to see if I could join one of their tours. To my delight, they had space available, and I quickly secured a spot on their sightseeing tour.
The tour offers a glimpse into the opulent lives of the city's wealthiest inhabitants as it cruises through Millionaire’s Row. You'll be awestruck by the grandeur and splendor of their homes, with some even belonging to renowned personalities like Steven Spielberg. Just ask the guides, and they'll gladly point out a few famous residences!
Speaking of guides, they're an absolute treat! Experienced and friendly, they shared loads of interesting tidbits about the city and its history. They had a great sense of humor too, peppering the tour with some delightfully corny "dad jokes". Their warm, easygoing nature truly set the tone for the entire trip.
It's worth noting that personal food items aren't allowed on board. However, they do offer a variety of snacks for purchase, ensuring that you won't go hungry during the tour. The boat is wheelchair accessible, making the experience inclusive for everyone.
Above all, the Jungle Queen Riverboat is well-maintained, which is quite impressive considering its age. The ride was relaxing and fun, making it an unforgettable part of my Fort Lauderdale adventure . Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this!

My cruise set sail at noon, but they conveniently had another one scheduled later in the day.
What's impressive about this riverboat is its size; it can host up to 385 passengers spread across two levels. For the best views, I recommend heading to the upper level or making your way to the front of the boat. From these vantage points, you'll be treated to some truly awe-inspiring sights.

Getting There
The Jungle Queen Riverboat is located at Bahia Mar Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It's situated off Seabreeze Blvd (also known as FL-A1A N), near the intersection with Harbor Drive.
If you're coming from the north or south, your primary route will be the scenic coastal highway, FL-A1A. Once you're on Seabreeze Blvd, look for signs to Bahia Mar Yachting Center or the Jungle Queen Riverboat.
From the west, you'll likely approach via E Sunrise Blvd (FL-838). You would turn onto N Birch Road, which becomes Seabreeze Blvd as it curves around the coastline.
Remember, always use a reliable GPS or mapping service for real-time and detailed directions. Please note that road names may also appear differently on some maps or signs, for example, Seabreeze Blvd is also known as FL-A1A N.

Introducing the Re-Imagined Jungle Queen Sightseeing Cruise and Island Experience
Jungle Queen, one of South Florida’s best-known attractions, debuts its new and reimagined River Cruise + Island Experience, “Ignite the Night.”
The Jungle Queen dinner cruises have been enjoyed by millions of guests and are a must on everyone’s list when living or visiting South Florida. The entire evening is family-friendly and is appropriate for all ages.
Jungle Queen, family-owned and operated since 1935, is now run by third-generation President, Michael Faber. “We are so excited about the new direction of our Jungle Queen experience,” said Faber. “Times and tastes change, and today’s audiences want something new. The cruise has been finetuned and the Polynesian island show is one of the best in the world.”
The new adventure starts at 6 pm with a 1- hour fully narrated sightseeing cruise aboard the Jungle Queen 385-passenger riverboat, boasting a full liquor bar offering signature cocktails. The cruise travels down Fort Lauderdale’s New River and the Intracoastal Waterway known as “The Venice of America”.
Guests discover the history of the exceptional homes lining Millionaire’s Row, glide alongside the spectacular mega yachts of the rich and famous and admire gorgeous flora and fauna native to South Florida.
At 7 pm, Jungle Queen docks, greeted by Polynesian entertainers at their extraordinary tropical island for dinner and a show.
Dinner includes All-You-Can-Eat BBQ, featuring savory fall-off-the-bone baby-back ribs, hand-battered chicken tenders, freshly made coleslaw, french fries, corn on the cob and cornbread. For vegan/vegetarian guests, Jungle Queen offers vegetable and tofu skewers, served over brown rice.
After dinner, for additional indulgences, guests may visit the Ice Cream Shop or outdoor Tiki Bar before being treated to the new and immersive “Ignite The Night” Polynesian extravaganza, featuring hula and fire dancers, fire eaters and more, presented by Drums of Polynesia.
