The new Sunseeker 76 Yacht sits in the sweet spot between 60 and 95 feet, a motor yacht approaching superyacht status. The British builder did everything it could to push the smallest member of its Yacht range into the superyacht category, including an optional hot tub on the rear of the flybridge and the most impressive foredeck social area on a yacht its size. But the new 76 is more than the sum of a few noteworthy parts. I had a chance to spend time on the boat at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show , and left with the impression that it’s a much larger yacht than its hull length suggests.

ACACIA Yacht Charter

Acacia yacht description.

ACACIA is a beautiful 40-meter Sunseeker motor yacht built in 2011 and newly refitted. She has a three-deck and five-cabin configuration. She is very well-maintained, with the latest update in 2022. The master suite is located on the main deck with a bi-level en-suite bathroom that includes his and hers sinks and a beautiful walk-in shower. The remaining guest cabins are split between four en-suite cabins on the lower deck: two VIP suites and two twin cabins (each twin room can be converted to a queen as needed and are equipped with an additional Pullman berth). Since ACACIA’s build, she has had regular servicing and upgrades, including teak replacement on the sun deck and new interior flooring in 2020. Accompanying these upgrades, she has had a stunning hull repaint in Majestic Blue in 2019 that sets her apart as a visual beauty. She has additionally completed her 10-year RINA Class Survey in 2021. The flybridge is made for entertaining guests on hot summer days; it is home to a Jacuzzi, sun pads, a sit-up bar, and cooling water misting systems to keep guests relaxed and refreshed when needed. There are two folding dining tables that provide an al fresco dining option and can seat up to 12 guests when extended. A second dining area can be found forward of the main saloon and seats 12, with walnut wenge wood flooring underfoot that runs the entire deck from the lounge to the master stateroom forward. As much as guests will enjoy the interior and exterior of the yacht itself, ACACIA is equipped for many adventurous as well as relaxing activities. She has a 35-foot Scout tender (with 3 Yamaha 300 engines) as well as a 19-foot Williams Sportjet that is excellent for wakeboarding, waterskiing, fishing, snorkeling, and cruising to a destination. The Scout is also excellent for accommodating beach picnics with land sports and water sports including Seabobs, kayaks, paddle boards, and toys such as floats and games. It accommodates sand toys as well and can be equipped for a beach set up–including chairs, tents, umbrellas, and even massage tables.

Joseph Thompson (Captain) Captain Joe was born and raised on the small Bahamian island of Elbow Cay in the Abacos Islands. Influenced by his love and passion for the ocean, he decided to pursue a career on the water and began his career by attending the Massachusetts Maritime academy. He worked on large commercial vessels throughout his cadetship before taking his experience to the yachting industry. Captain Joe has been in the yachting industry for over 10 years and is extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and leads his programs with an easy-going style. He has worked on strongly established charter programs for the majority of his career, making him well versed in providing a wonderful experience for all guests on board. When Joe is not on the open seas, you will find him surfing and enjoying quality time with his wife. Samuel Brown (Chief Officer) Samuel spent his childhood years in Cornwall, England, where he followed in his family's footsteps and became a 5th generation commercial lobstermen. Sam knew from an early age he was destined for a life at sea and by age 16 he began working full time on fishing vessels, eventually working up to captain of his own program. In 2015, he decided to transition his maritime experience to the yachting industry and has spent the last seven years on vessels ranging from 380’ private programs to 130’ charter yachts. Sam is currently studying to become a yacht captain in the future and in his free time he enjoys both scuba and free diving. Felix Noonoo (Chief Engineer) Engineer Felix joins M/Y Acacia from Elmina, Ghana. He grew up on the West Coast beaches of Africa and was inspired to work on vessels by his grandfathers' career as a Marine Engineer. Felix attended Maritime University in his home country earning his degree in Marine Engineering before starting his career on commercial ships. He worked on commercial programs for 14 years, ascending the engineering ladder while continuing his educational certifications and traveling all around the world. He was introduced to yachting by a friend and decided to apply his engineering expertise in the yachting industry. Felix is the go-to for all projects both big and small and is committed to the function and safety of M/Y Acacia. When he is not in the Engine room, Felix enjoys spending time with his two young daughters and finding new and interesting places to visit. Allison Sabo (Chief Stew) Allison was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. She attended post graduate school at Indiana University with her degree in Human Resource Management, specializing in managing cultural diversity and found the yachting industry, filled with many cultures, would be a great way to integrate her educational experiences along with seeing the world. Throughout her time in the industry, Allison has worked for prestigious programs in all areas of the Interior. She has a passion for service and in-depth knowledge of all forms ranging from high end formal events, to relaxed beach picnics and theme nights. She is dedicated to providing the highest level of service to guests and ensures your time onboard will be a personalized and memorable experience. In her free time, Allison enjoys surfing and beach volleyball. Phil Browning (Chef) Chef Phil began his career at 12 years old working as a part-time dishwasher after school in his hometown of Shropshire, England. After training in England and working his way up at highly acclaimed restaurants, Phil became a citizen of the world to explore different cultures and broaden his culinary skills. He settled down in Denmark after years of traveling and took his talents to Café Victor, where he cooked for royalty and celebrities daily. While working in Denmark, he discovered yachting and returned to his passion of being a world traveling chef. Chef Phil is an expert at his craft and creates innovative dishes catered to your preferences that make every dining experience one to remember. When Phil is not in the galley he enjoys skateboarding and exploring whatever location we are in. Rhys Channon (Bosun) Growing up a stones throw away from the ocean in Cornwall, England, Rhys has always enjoyed living on the water. His family consists of multiple competitive sportsman and Rhys decided to make his own way in watersports by becoming a pro surfer where he combined his love for the water and travel, competing all around Europe and Africa. After ending his surfing career, Rhys knew yachting was the perfect industry to implement his skills and strong work ethic. He is a certified instructor in a wide variety of activities both onboard and ashore and is happy to instruct you in any water activities. As an experienced Bosun, with seven years of experience in the industry, Rhys is dedicated to providing safe and exciting experiences throughout your stay. In his spare time, Rhys enjoys spending time with his fiancé, scuba diving, and property hunting for new additions to his property portfolio. Brianne Ricketts (2nd stew) Hailing from Oregon, Brianne grew up studying dance and Spanish- two passions that collided into inspiration while she was living abroad in Barcelona. While living in Spain, Brianne took an interest in vineyards and studied wine in-depth chose to apply this knowledge upon returning home where she worked as an Event Manager at a Pacific Northwest winery. This position sparked her interest in high end service which inspired her to pursue a career in the yachting industry. Brianne has been a stewardess for three years, working in Europe and Southwest Florida for most of her career. She is driven to provide the highest level of excellence in hospitality and takes pride in working alongside her crew mates. In her free time, Brianne enjoys fashion and exploring podcasts to brush up on new and interesting topics. Christy Leather (Deck/Stew) Christy has lived in various cities and towns in South Africa, where she was born. Growing up in St. Francis Bay surrounded by the ocean and family with a passion for boating, she finds joy in being on the water. Christy attended University where she studied Business and Law, however upon graduating realized she wanted to pursue a career involving more adventure which brought her to yachting. After completing both deckhand and stewardess courses, Christy joined her first yacht in Ft. Lauderdale, M/Y Acacia, and has been onboard since. As the deckhand/stewardess she is a versatile crew member with an enthusiasm for providing top-notch service in both departments. When she is not working, Christy enjoys staying active by running and attending fitness classes along with continuing to take part in water sports.

After ending his surfing career, Rhys knew yachting was the perfect industry to implement his skills and strong work ethic. He is a certified instructor in a wide variety of activities both onboard and ashore and is happy to instruct you in any water activities. As an experienced Bosun, with seven years of experience in the industry, Rhys is dedicated to providing safe and exciting experiences throughout your stay. In his spare time, Rhys enjoys spending time with his fiancé, scuba diving, and property hunting for new additions to his property portfolio.<br /> <br /> Brianne Ricketts (2nd stew)<br /> Hailing from Oregon, Brianne grew up studying dance and Spanish- two passions that collided into inspiration while she was living abroad in Barcelona. While living in Spain, Brianne took an interest in vineyards and studied wine in-depth chose to apply this knowledge upon returning home where she worked as an Event Manager at a Pacific Northwest winery. This position sparked her interest in high end service which inspired her to pursue a career in the yachting industry. Brianne has been a stewardess for three years, working in Europe and Southwest Florida for most of her career. She is driven to provide the highest level of excellence in hospitality and takes pride in working alongside her crew mates. In her free time, Brianne enjoys fashion and exploring podcasts to brush up on new and interesting topics.<br /> <br /> Christy Leather (Deck/Stew)<br /> Christy has lived in various cities and towns in South Africa, where she was born. Growing up in St. Francis Bay surrounded by the ocean and family with a passion for boating, she finds joy in being on the water. Christy attended University where she studied Business and Law, however upon graduating realized she wanted to pursue a career involving more adventure which brought her to yachting. After completing both deckhand and stewardess courses, Christy joined her first yacht in Ft. Lauderdale, M/Y Acacia, and has been onboard since. As the deckhand/stewardess she is a versatile crew member with an enthusiasm for providing top-notch service in both departments. He has worked on strongly established charter programs for the majority of his career, making him well versed in providing a wonderful experience for all guests on board. When Joe is not on the open seas, you will find him surfing and enjoying quality time with his wife.<br /> <br /> Samuel Brown (Chief Officer)<br /> Samuel spent his childhood years in Cornwall, England, where he followed in his family's footsteps and became a 5th generation commercial lobstermen. Sam knew from an early age he was destined for a life at sea and by age 16 he began working full time on fishing vessels, eventually working up to captain of his own program. In 2015, he decided to transition his maritime experience to the yachting industry and has spent the last seven years on vessels ranging from 380’ private programs to 130’ charter yachts. Sam is currently studying to become a yacht captain in the future and in his free time he enjoys both scuba and free diving.<br /> <br /> Felix Noonoo (Chief Engineer)<br /> Engineer Felix joins M/Y Acacia from Elmina, Ghana. He grew up on the West Coast beaches of Africa and was inspired to work on vessels by his grandfathers' career as a Marine Engineer. Felix attended Maritime University in his home country earning his degree in Marine Engineering before starting his career on commercial ships. He worked on commercial programs for 14 years, ascending the engineering ladder while continuing his educational certifications and traveling all around the world. He was introduced to yachting by a friend and decided to apply his engineering expertise in the yachting industry. Felix is the go-to for all projects both big and small and is committed to the function and safety of M/Y Acacia. When he is not in the Engine room, Felix enjoys spending time with his two young daughters and finding new and interesting places to visit.<br /> <br /> Allison Sabo (Chief Stew)<br /> Allison was born and raised in a small town in Indiana. Throughout her time in the industry, Allison has worked for prestigious programs in all areas of the Interior. He settled down in Denmark after years of traveling and took his talents to Café Victor, where he cooked for royalty and celebrities daily. While working in Denmark, he discovered yachting and returned to his passion of being a world traveling chef. His family consists of multiple competitive sportsman and Rhys decided to make his own way in watersports by becoming a pro surfer where he combined his love for the water and travel, competing all around Europe and Africa. After ending his surfing career, Rhys knew yachting was the perfect industry to implement his skills and strong work ethic. He is a certified instructor in a wide variety of activities both onboard and ashore and is happy to instruct you in any water activities. As an experienced Bosun, with seven years of experience in the industry, Rhys is dedicated to providing safe and exciting experiences throughout your stay. This position sparked her interest in high end service which inspired her to pursue a career in the yachting industry. Brianne has been a stewardess for three years, working in Europe and Southwest Florida for most of her career. She is driven to provide the highest level of excellence in hospitality and takes pride in working alongside her crew mates. Christy attended University where she studied Business and Law, however upon graduating realized she wanted to pursue a career involving more adventure which brought her to yachting. After completing both deckhand and stewardess courses, Christy joined her first yacht in Ft. Lauderdale, M/Y Acacia, and has been onboard since. As the deckhand/stewardess she is a versatile crew member with an enthusiasm for providing top-notch service in both departments. She is very well-maintained, with the latest update in 2022.<br /> <br /> The master suite is located on the main deck with a bi-level en-suite bathroom that includes his and hers sinks and a beautiful walk-in shower. The remaining guest cabins are split between four en-suite cabins on the lower deck: two VIP suites and two twin cabins (each twin room can be converted to a queen as needed and are equipped with an additional Pullman berth).<br /> <br /> Since ACACIA’s build, she has had regular servicing and upgrades, including teak replacement on the sun deck and new interior flooring in 2020. Accompanying these upgrades, she has had a stunning hull repaint in Majestic Blue in 2019 that sets her apart as a visual beauty. She has additionally completed her 10-year RINA Class Survey in 2021.<br /> <br /> The flybridge is made for entertaining guests on hot summer days; it is home to a Jacuzzi, sun pads, a sit-up bar, and cooling water misting systems to keep guests relaxed and refreshed when needed. Recently <br /> completing his chief officer 3000gt ticket he is now excited about cruising more of the world in the yachting industry.<br /> <br /> Federico Serra (Chief Engineer)<br /> Freddy started his career as a Marine Engineer in the Navy School when was 19 years old. During this time, he was taking different theoretical and practical classes together along with his summertime internship as a cadet. After Six years in Navy School, he began working as a cadet officer in both cargo ships and cruise ships. In 2011 he launched his career as a second engineer on his first yacht. Ever since then his marine engineering has grown exponentially. The interest and self -improvement has motivated him to take several courses and exams (both written and oral) He was able to obtain his Chief Engineer Unlimited Qualification and his United Kingdom Maritime Coastguard Agency Y2 Qualification. A very calm natured person, Freddy has a logical and well thought approach to problem solving. He enjoys keeping fit by playing tennis. Growing up in Montevideo, Uruguay he also loves to scuba dive and surf. <br /> <br /> Jessica Rynaski (Chief Stewardess)<br /> Jessica was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, where she cultivated her artistic and musical skills. Her first job working as a florist is where her love for design and nature flourished. Growing up near the base of Mt. Hood, she always found herself in nature, exploring the hiking trails and chasing waterfalls. After going to college for a Business degree, Jessica worked in guest service, and in office environments, and eventually worked up to be the Accounts Payable manager at a large corporation before making moves to join the Yachting Industry. She was intrigued by the opportunity to make people happy while also utilizing the creativity she was born with. She has taken Interior and Silver Service courses to widen her scope, and has been lucky to have been mentored and trained closely with everyone she’s worked with, learning all it takes to create a welcoming and clean environment. Her high attention to detail and affinity for creating unique experiences for everyone around her makes for memorable trips onboard Acacia. Luxury yacht MAKANI II is a 34.52m (113' 3") Sunseeker motor yacht built in 2013 and refurbished in 2023. Her sporty profile and strong lines give her an appealing presence on the water and her deck jacuzzi and premier deck features make her a perfect charter vessel. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated in five suites looked after by a crew of six.

EXTERIOR Charter guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to deck facilities. The sundeck is a wonderfully sociable area with an aft jacuzzi surrounded by sun pads, a port side dining setting, a starboard wet bar with stools and helm controls. The area is covered by a hard roof but there is a retractable section which allows the sun to stream into the area.

Down on the main deck aft there is a lovely sold teak dining table with a sofa bench and moveable chairs. The reverse side of the sofa is a row of comfortable sun pads and adjacent steps lead down to the swim platform from where the crew will launch the selection of water toys.

If that wasn’t enough, there is more in the shape of a lounge/sunbathing area on the foredeck. A flexible up-down table surrounded by a u-shaped sofa and adjustable sun pads create a wonderful area for guests to hang out together.

INTERIOR The interior is finished tastefully with light oak, with dark hardwood floors in the main salon and access areas and taupe carpeting in all accommodation areas. The main salon boasts a fold-down terrace to starboard accessed via large glass sliding doors. These doors, plus the aft doors and wide windows flood the space with light. After dark, sophisticated lighting creates a warm and cosy space with a lounge aft and dining space forward.

The master suite is forward on the main deck while the additional guest accommodation is on the lower deck.

Yacht Accommodation

The master suite is a fabulous private haven for primary charter guests and features wide windows, a huge bed, plenty of storage and a dual-entry forward ensuite bathroom. The additional suites on the lower deck are configured as two double and two twins with pullman bunks, all of which benefit from the luxury and privacy of ensuite bathroom facilities.

The 33 m m/y QUANTUM was built by Sunseeker in 2008 with an extensive refit in 2019/2020. Yearly maintenance and upgrades ensure her immaculate condition, and she is now better than ever and ready to welcome her guests for the 2021 charter season. The huge foredeck has two sunbathing areas complete with a Jacuzzi hot tub, while the generous open-air aft deck is home to a custom-designed wet bar, American style barbeque and an ice maker, along with upholstered settees and a table, ideal for leisurely entertaining and al fresco dining. The interior is just as impressive. Beautiful satin cherry wood, set off by light grey soft furnishings, generates a neutral and timeless look. The fully opening hardtop roof over the salon creates a light and airy feeling, bringing the outside in. The Sunseeker 100 Yacht is set to usher in what the British yard calls a “new era” in flybridge design. We jumped on board during its Cannes 2022 debut...

Aggressively styled, with an unbroken window line that seems to separate the superstructure from the hull, the new 100 Yacht’s potent three-dimensional aesthetic generates huge visual impact.

But what really sets the new Sunseeker 100 Yacht apart is not so much its style as its thought-provoking reinterpretation of the tri-deck layout.

By creating a full-beam walkaround upper level with easy fore-and-aft access to the foredeck lounge, the new Sunseeker’s flybridge is able to encompass almost the entire boat’s length.

It runs, obstruction-free, all the way from the main deck transom steps to the owner’s forward terrace, providing complete walkaround access from bow to stern.

It looks well equipped in terms of entertaining options too. In addition to the flybridge ’s central dinette, there’s plenty of space for an optional helm station, free-standing loungers, wet bar and Jacuzzi.

And the foredeck itself also offers two separate seating arrangements, as well as the option of a laser projector and a 140-inch cinema screen for lazy evenings at anchor. Back down on the main deck, the forward owner’s suite leverages the full scale of the yacht’s beam.

In addition to floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, it also includes a sliding glass door that leads out onto the owner’s private foredeck terrace. And for everyone else, the lower deck provides lavish ensuite accommodation for up to eight guests.

The crew have their own space in the bow with separate access to the galley and three small ensuite cabins.

Other key features include a raised pilothouse with a glass aft bulkhead that allows guests an uninterrupted view forward from the flybridge, and a ‘penthouse style’ saloon with floor to ceiling windows formal dining for eight, an impressive aft lounging area to port, plus an optional sliding door to starboard.

And when you step out into the big aft cockpit, the recreational flexibility is equally well considered. While the floodable tender garage is large enough for a Williams 460 Sportjet, plus jetski and Seabobs, it can also be converted into a decadent Beach Club with built-in barbecue, rain shower and sunlougers, similar to the recently-launched Sunseeker 90 Ocean .

Available either with MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines or MTU 16V 2000 M96Ls, the Sunseeker 100 Yacht has an estimated top speed of around 29 knots.

The 100 Yacht will sneak in just below the 24m waterline length, ensuring it is classed as an RCD Category A leisure vessel rather than having to meet the more onerous regulations for a superyacht .

Update: The Sunseeker 100 Yacht will be getting its US debut at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show .
