You can choose one of the three  Grey Glacier Navigation  modes:

1. Navigation starting and ending in Hotel Lago Grey

How can i reach the hotel lago grey.

You can reach Hotel Lago Grey with three options: private vehicle, shared shuttle or regular bus .

You can arrange every option the next way:

Yes, the navigation is always subject to wind conditions and might be suspended even once you have reached the meeting point. If that’s the case, you will be able to reschedule your booking for other time and/or date (subject to availability) or asking for the total refund.

Do you recommend a navigation time over others?

Because of wind conditions are better early during the day, we recommend you taking the 1st navigation or the early time available.

What’s the price of Torres del Paine National Park entrance fee?

Residents in Chile:

Is it possible to re-enter the park with the same ticket on different days?

The entrance fee is valid for 3 consecutive days, so you can re-enter without paying again, as long as you pass for one of the entrances so valid your ticket.

How do I get to the Lago Grey hotel?

To access the Lago Gray Hotel, you have three transportation alternatives: private vehicle (own or rented vehicle, or private transportation), shared transfer (you can hire it with us) or regular bus (via Bus Sur)

You can combine each option as follows:

• 1st navigation: arrival by private vehicle or shared transfer.

Set off on an unforgettable boat trip on Lake Grey in this beautiful part of the Torres del Paine National Park. You'll also get to see the beach and the glacier found next to the lake.

At 12 noon, we'll see you at the  Hotel Lago Grey  and, from there, travel to the Pingo riverbed by minibus. From here, we'll go on a 40-minute walk to the shores of Grey Beach, located on the shores of the lake of the same name. This spot is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the Torres del Paine National Park.

When you reach the beach, a comfortable catamaran will be waiting for us. We'll then board the boat and set sail on  Lake Grey . From the outside deck of the ship, you'll be able to take lots of photos of the breathtaking Chilean Patagonia , a breathtaking South American natural area surrounded by mountains . 

We'll continue our trip around Lake Grey and explore some other areas. As we make our way through the lake, you'll admire incredible views of the Torres del Paine National Park . Its captivating natural landscapes tend to amaze and enthrall all who visit.

Finally, we'll return to Grey Beach at 3:45 pm. From there, you'll make your own way back on foot to the Hotel Lago Grey, arriving at 4:30 pm.

From September 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024, these are the schedules:

What's the boat like?

The river crossing will take place on the  Grey III catamaran . This boat has a main cabin with a capacity of 98 passengers . It also has an open-air deck from which you can admire the beautiful scenery of the Torres del Paine National Park.

During the boat trip, you'll be served a typical Chilean drink called pisco sour .

HOW TO GET BASECAMP GREY

The excursions begin at our  Grey Base Camp, located 15 minutes walk from Vertice Patagonia's Grey Refuge, on the shores of Grey Lake, close to the glacier.

If you need directions to our  departure/start of excursion point , please do not hesitate to contact us by email. We will be happy to provide you with all the help and information you need.

It is important to note that if you do not show up at the scheduled time for the excursion due to not knowing how to get there,  no refund will be made . There is a time limit of 72 hours prior to the excursion for cancellations without penalty. This policy applies both to clients who have booked directly with Bigfoot Patagonia and to those who have booked through authorized travel agencies or tour operators. 

***In the event that you are taking day excursions, you must book the navigations directly with Hotel Lago Grey ( [email protected] ).

If you are staying in Puerto Natales, please contact Lago Grey Hotel and book any of their navigations according to our excursion schedules (you will find them on their website). To book you must send an email to [email protected] . The first navigation has its check-in at 9:00 am and departs at 10:00 am, arriving at BigFoot Base Camp at 11:00 am for kayaking and ice hiking excursions. The second one has its check-in at 12:00 pm, departing at 1:00 pm and arriving at Grey Beach at 1:45 pm. The third navigation returns from our refuge at 5:30 pm, for passengers who must return to their hotels or the city.

The second option is to drive or go by bus to Pudeto and take the catamaran of the company Hielos Patagónicos that crosses Lake Pehoé. This boat crosses to Paine Grande at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 4:15 pm and 6:00 pm (check schedules here (hipsur.com/tarifas/ AGREGAR COMO HIPERVÍNCULO EN HERE). From Paine Grande you have to walk a trail of 11 kms and approximately three and a half hours to get to our basecamp at Grey.

If you are walking in the park, you have the option of contacting the Grey sector and requesting information about us. For those interested from Perro or Paso you can contact Grey shelter and speak to the guides to book an excursion. From Paso Camp it is a 7-kilometer-long hike of approximately 5 hours.
