Throughout the winter months, she is involved in managing the yacht maintenance and repair schedules for private and charter yachts. She is ambitious, hard-working, and responsible in her work taking safety on her yacht to another level! She is a team player with an open smile and attitude, making everyone feel safe and comfortable immediately!<br /> She loves to interact with her guests and show them the beauty of the Greek islands.<br /> She speaks Greek and English.<br /> <br /> Cook: Iliana Driva <br /> Iliana was born in 1989 in Athens, and she has been working in the yachting industry for the last 4 years as a cook - stewardess on charter yachts. Her love for nature and sailing made her take the chance to follow her dad’s steps as a sailor. She has worked as a cook and chef assistant in restaurants for several years, but her passion is cooking while traveling on these magnificent Greek islands. She is experienced also, as a barista and bartender. She speaks fluent English. She also has studied cinematography and when she's not cooking on board for her clients, she participates in theatre plays. With her studies in personal and fitness training, she is active and very energetic. She holds her skipper license for sailing vessels and is working toward her motor license. She is an open-water lifeguard and a Hatha Yoga instructor. Her kind, welcoming nature is perfect on Tiamo. For Sale: Horizon Power Catamarans 60

For those in the market for an owner-operator-friendly yacht, but who may want to add the occasional captain or mate, consider Salus , a Horizon Power Catamarans PC60 currently listed with Worth Avenue Yachts. The 2022 power catamaran features an on-deck master stateroom and an all-weather flybridge.

The salon and galley feel spacious, even with Salus having the on-deck master layout, thanks to the yacht’s 24-foot-6-inch beam and an efficient use of the space. An L-shaped sofa runs the length of the room to port and adjacent to the galley’s three-stool bar. The galley has Corian countertops and backsplashes along with a number of meal-prep appliance, including:

Belowdecks, guests will find the en suite VIP stateroom forward in the starboard hull with a queen berth. The crew cabin is abaft the VIP stateroom in the starboard hull while the final guest cabin is in the port hull, abaft the space dedicated to the master head, with side-by-side twin berths.

The all-weather flybridge is a comfortable spot to retreat from the sun while staying connected to the environment. The open after section has a sun shade that connects to stainless-steel posts. Or guests can move under the hardtop and unzip the aft door and Sea Crylic side windows. When the tender is deployed, the open after section of the flybridge is a blank slate for loose furniture. Under the hardtop is a three-person bar to port and an L-shaped dinette to starboard, abaft the helm station on centerline. There is companion bench seating to port and starboard.

In the cockpit, a fixed table is separate from the transom bench seating, creating two distinct zones on the aft deck, a formal dining space forward and a lounge aft. 

The foredeck and wide side decks have high rails for safe transit around the power cat. Twin 705 hp Cummins QSM11 diesels provide a 23-knot top hop and an 18-knot fast cruise. The PC60 has a 420-nautical-mile range.

Burn ban in 54 counties now in effect in north, central Georgia

ATLANTA — An annual burn ban in Georgia is back in effect for 54 counties across the state.

According to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division, the annual burn ban has been a state program since 2005, impacting “many of the counties in north and central Georgia.”

The division says the burn ban blocks people and businesses from burning yard and land-clearing debris during the summer ozone season, which goes from May 1 to Sept. 30.

The seasonal burn ban is on top of a year-round, statewide burn ban for household garbage in the state.

“Smoke from open burning includes small particles and gaseous air pollutants that can form ground-level ozone.  Particulate pollution can cause chronic heart diseases and ground-level ozone can cause inflammation of the lungs, especially in children and people with asthma,” James Boylan, Chief of the EPD Air Protection Branch said in a statement.

Campfires and grilling are exempt from the state’s burn bans, though, according to EPD.

• Mountain District Office (Atlanta): 404-362-2671 Carroll, Clayton, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Heard, Henry, Rockdale, and Spalding counties.
• Northeast District Office (Athens): 706-369-6376 Banks, Barrow, Butts, Clarke, Hall, Jackson, Jasper, Madison, Morgan, Newton, Oconee, Putnam, and Walton counties.
• East Central District Office (Augusta): 706-667-4343 Columbia and Richmond counties.
• West Central District Office (Macon): 478-751-6612 Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Lamar, Monroe, Peach, Pike, Twiggs, Upson, Meriwether, and Troup counties.
• Mountain District Office (Cartersville): 770-387-4900 Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Cobb, Dawson, Floyd, Forsyth, Gordon, Haralson, Lumpkin, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, and Walker counties.

Once the seasonal burn ban is over, EPD recommends the following safety tips if you plan to burn hand-piled natural vegetation like yard debris or leaf piles:

• Burn location must be no less than 25 feet from any woodlands, forestland or field that contains brush, grass, or other flammable material.
• Burn location must be no less than 50 feet from structures, which includes homes, outbuildings, sheds, and barns.
• Burning must take place between sunrise and sunset.
• Person responsible must attend burning at all times until the fire is completely extinguished and there is no risk for burning to escape control.
• Person responsible must take reasonable and necessary precautions to prevent fire escape or spread from the original location.
