A General Description of Motor Yacht LADY HAYA

This motor yacht LADY HAYA is a 65 metre 212 (ft) sizeable steel ship which was developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and designed by Mitsubishi Hi and Terence Disdale Design and Chester Jones. Sleeping 16 guests and 21 qualified crew, motor yacht LADY HAYA is ex 824 Pegasus Iv; Shahnaz which was her project name and/or yacht title. Launched in the year of 1981 this boat’s interior design showcases the stately ambience in the designing of Terence Disdale Design.

The Construction & Yacht Design relating to Luxury Yacht LADY HAYA

Mitsubishi Hi was the naval architect involved in the formal vessel plans for LADY HAYA. Her interior design was completed by Terence Disdale Design. Mitsubishi Hi and Terence Disdale Design and Chester Jones is also associated with the yacht wider design collaboration for this yacht. In 1981 she was formally launched with celebration in Shimonoseki and following sea trials and final completion was then passed on to the owner who commissioned her. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries completed their new build motor yacht in Japan. A fairly large proportion is manifested with a maximum beam (width) of 10.39 m or 34.1 ft. With a 3.9m (12.8ft) draught (maximum depth) she is reasonably deep. The material steel was used in the building of the hull of the motor yacht. Her superstructure over the hull is fashioned from aluminium. In 2009 further refit work and modernisation was also performed.

Installed with two DAIHATSU diesel main engines, LADY HAYA is able to reach a high speed of 18 knots. Her propulsion units are twin screw propellers. She also has an efficient range of 6400 nautical miles when motoring at her cruise speed of 16 knots. Her total HP is 4200 HP and her total Kilowatts are 3091.

The royal saudi family visits marbella in its two mega yachts.

(SOURCE INFORMATION) The Real Saudí family is located in Marbella . His arrival, although it has been disguised, it is not possible to hide in the marina of Puerto Banús the two megayachts: ‘Shaf London’ and ‘Lady Haya’, which like other years have arrived after Ramadan.

On the dock of honor of this emblematic marina of Marbella, in front of the luxurious hotel of the uncle of the Syrian president, Bashar al Asad, highlights the ‘Shaf London’, a yacht of 53 meters in length, with 13 cabins, which King Salmán acquired in 1991 when he was already a regular on the Costa del Sol. There he arrived in the 70s with his brother the late King Fahd, both moved by the recommendations of the arms dealer of Turkish descent Adnan Khashoggi, whose father was a doctor of the Saudi royal family and uncle of Dodi Al-Fayed.

Next to this mega-yacht is another upper, the ‘Lady Haya’, with the flag of the Cayman Islands. It is a stunning 64-meter ship owned by the late King Fahd and currently owned by the Saudi royal family. This yacht can accommodate up to 20 guests, has a “beach club” at the stern of 100 square meters and a heliport; Six luxury suites for guests (the main suite measures 50 square meters), a kitchen of 50 square meters and the swing gate turns into a terrace on the sea. For some time now, the Saudi royal family no longer officially arrives in Marbella every summer because they prefer Tangier and their private beach in Jbila. This benefited the then President Felipe González, who sold them a 5,000 square meter plot in 2013. The Arabs expanded their summer complex. But the truth is that they’ve never strayed from Spain and continue to return to the Costa del Sol every summer, albeit much smaller than they did then.

Their purchases and expenses are known to the people of Marbella, and although they may seem like urban legends, they are not. Legends such as these have patisseries like Goyo, who are depleting their supplies when serving the palace of King Fahd, Mar-Mar. They have exhausted the lamb population in the city of Marbella, and every time they come they renew their fleet of luxury Mercedes models. His allegiance remains only in five-star hotels and his private parties at Olivia Valere’s nightclub are famous; and in the Nao Pool Club, the Valere’s son is managed on the site of the former home of the doctor of the Shah of Persia: Reza Phalavi. They have also managed to open El Corte Inglés in Puerto Banús exclusively for them. The widow of King Fahd, Jawhara al-Ibrahim, is a regular at the Marbella Golden Mile stores.

How Much Does a Yacht Cost?

Living in luxury can be rather expensive, and if you want to learn more about purchasing a yacht, or maybe you just are curious on what the prices are, there are many things to learn about them in general.  Just like many other transportation methods out there such as a car, boat or bike, there will be many factors which affect the price.

How much does a yacht cost?

The cost of yacht is dependent on the year, make/model, length, type (sail, motor, super, passenger, commercial, power, high performance) and seller.

A typical 20-foot yacht will cost anywhere from $35,000 to around 75,000 .

A midsized yacht around 30 feet can cost as much as $250,000 .

Larger yachts around the 50-foot range can easily reach the $1,000,000 mark.

Rare models longer than 100 feet can surpass  $5,000,000 .

For example, a 150-footer can cost as much as $35 million.

According to Forbes , some of the most expensive Yachts cost more than $103 million dollars.

Used cabin cruisers can cost $15,000 to $45,000.

What are the extra costs?

Luxuries, such as upgradable kitchens (stainless steel, etc), may be extra.

If you want to upgrade the interior when purchasing used, you may want to treat it like a home.   Remodeling the kitchen or bathroom can cost $10,000+

When traveling across the waters, gasoline can add up fairly quick.  Yachts can have tanks as large as 5,000 gallons.

Factor in other expenses such as upkeep or if it breaks down.  If the yacht breaks down, mechanic bills can easily surpass the thousand dollar mark.  As for maintenance costs, plan on spending at least 8 to 15 percent of the initial price for annual upkeep.  If the boat cost $200,000, it’s best to budget at least $20,000 per year for upkeep.

Boats will require licenses, registration, and insurance.  This will vary depending on the state you’re registering in.  Boating insurance will widely vary on the value of the boat.  On average, plan on budgeting at least $500 for a policy at the minimum.

Marina and ramp fees can cost more than $200,000 per  year.  Since you will have to store it, the costs will greatly depend on the size of your yacht and the marina.

If the yacht has to be towed from one marina to another, shipping fees can reach well into the thousands of dollars.

Due to the complexity of these boats, an engineer and captain is highly recommended for trips.  Plan on spending at least $800 to $1,000 per foot for a trip.  Mechanics can command higher prices.  An additional crew may be needed, depending on the size.

Mooring around the world can cost you more than $4,000 per night in some areas.  If an event is going on, such as the Monaco Grand Prix, your five-night stay could be $100,000 .

Tips to know:

Yachts are going to be very expensive.  Before you even start the shopping process, you’re going to want to know what your budget is going to be.  If you’re having a hard time finding a yacht that fits within your budget, you may want to meet with a specialized broker who can assist you with the entire process.

The next thing that you’re going to want to look at are your goals.  Do you want to travel the world in this yacht?  Are you just looking for an afternoon boat?  Whatever it may be, each yacht can cater to different types of activities.

If considering used, be sure to note the age.  Like a home, things inside the boat will start to go bad such as the appliances, floors and plumbing.  The exterior of the boat is also something to consider as well as the exterior will need close attention such as routine cleanings.

How can I save money?

Consider purchasing used.  Websites such as YachtWorld.com have many ads to browse.

If you can’t afford one, consider joining a club where you can either rent one or split it with other members.

• Saudi Royal yacht moored in Puerto Banús for family summer holidays

ONCE again, the Saudi Royal family has docked in Marbella for its summer holidays, and other tourists and residents have been able to admire the enormous, luxury Lady Haya in the marina.

The ruling family in the Middle Eastern country regularly chooses Marbella and other parts of the Andalucía coast for its annual getaway, so it is not unusual to see one of their impressive giant yachts moored off the shores of southern Spain, especially the Costa del Sol .

This time, their 65-metre-long steel craft, built in 1981 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and created by Terence Disdale Design, Chester Jones and Mitsubishi HI, is anchored close to the Benabolá pier in Puerto Banús .

According to CharterWorld, which hires out luxury yachts all over the globe, the Lady Haya has space for 16 guests in addition to the Saudi Arabian Royal family, and 21 crew members.

It originally belonged to the late King Fahd, and back in 1981 was at the cutting edge of technology, with two Daihatsu diesel motors with propulsion units that enable it to reach speeds of 18 knots or, when at a cruising speed of 16 knots, can sail for 6,400 nautical miles (11,853 kilometres or 7,365 'land' miles – about three-quarters of the way from pole to pole) before needing refuelling.
